I recently visited Hotel Saravana Bhavan and had a mixed experience. The ghee roast and podi roast were delicious, but the coffee cup was not cleaned properly. Tried their Vada as well, but it was disappointing, not worth the money. Despite the low crowd, the service was slow, and the security guard's lax approach to directing parking was noticeable. While there's a parking ground nearby, the security service needs improvement. Additionally, the washing area had an unpleasant smell. Overall, a decent meal, but improvements in service and cleanliness are essential

The veg. meal was absolutely good and very sweaty, i enjoyed the food. The parking is very less and busy, the parking area is poor and dine in area is wide and it's diveded into two a/c and non ac

Tasty food. Dahi papdi chat is quite filling but overall sweet. Chapathi set is good. I've had better pani puri.

Best place in the town to have some delicious vegetarian cuisine especially dosas and idli. Must try is vada pav - served hot with lots of onion and lemon. Its best. Their idli are very soft and tasty - best combo is idli and idli podi. Their North Indian chat items are also good especially the pani puri. Price - Moderate, not expensive. Ambience - Neat and well kept Parking- fairly available

Wow, absolutely stunning food. Not only the best dosa I have ever had ( I chose Podi Dosa, I can eat straight chillies and found this just the perfect amount of spicy, for others with a delicate palette this option may be too much heat. ) it is quite possibly the single most delicious thing I have ever eaten in my 32 years of life. I have to say I was blown away. Clean restaurant, fantastic service, great prices, top notch food and coffee. I can't stress enough how excellent the experience was. Just go and eat here.. just do it, no way you will regret it.

Great place for those who are looking for vegetarian restaurants near Edapilly. They do serve wide varieties of veg cuisine here, be it South India, North Indian, Chats and Chinese. They do have great Car and Bike parking facilities too. So enjoy your food without any worries.

Visited one of the two Saravana Bhavans in kochi. Food was great, we had breakfast from their ac dining hall which was clean and comfortable. Staff response was quick . We had ghee roast, masala dosa, vada, Horlicks and tea. Bathrooms were clean in the ac dining hall. The cost was slightly high for a veg restaurant. Good parking area and the restaurant is located at the Edapally toll junction.

If there was a negative rating, I would have chosen that. Horrible service. Trust me the food was ok, but the service was so horrible that I'm never ordering from here again.

Saravana Bhavan is a life savior for all Vegetarians in Cochin.

It's the best place to eat authentic food and also of good quality.

We tried a meal here along with paneer kulcha, tomato rice and podi dosa.

They serve North Indian, Chinese food too.

The Kulcha was super soft and really very flavorful. Was perfect for Aarav who doesn't eat spicy food.

The meal was fantastic. Loved the flavors, Sabji and sambar were really good.

The podi dosa was fantastic. Loved it.

The tomato rice was spicy, tangy and very flavorful.

Loved everything here.

Definitely the best place to eat

Food-4.5/5
Ambiance-3/5
Vfm-4.5/5
Service-4/5
Return index-5/5

Don't order Chinese dishes. Chilli gobi we ordered was like a" very sweet dish" kind of dessert. Also naan was like a maida ch
appathi. Go for genuine veg dishes like dosa ,idli which they make with great taste.
Ashbin Alikutty
One of the beat vegetarian food restaurant in town. Serves all type of food which sooo delicious. Service is also good. Packing is awesome its some sort of cozy foods.
Arun
Real Authentic South Indian Food, the meals are really worth going there. I am always ordering from Saravana Bhavan on weekends for breakfast and never had a bad one yet.

Hotel Saravana Bhavan Good for vegetarian people... Price is way too high but the food tastes good and the restaurant is at the centre of kochi. Edappally, which makes it easy for family and also has parking facility.

Visiting Kochi? Make sure to try out this place!!😋
I ordered-
Pav Bhaji- It was really very good but a bit spicy. It had an awesome flavour!! (4.5/5)
Masala Dosa- A must have over here. Their most famous dish and the dosa was really good. (5/5)
Podi Dosa- It was completely different from the podi dosas I've had in Ahmedabad so personally, didn't like it much. (2.5/5)
The sambhar was simple yet delicious and the chutney
was OK.
Overall, The quantity is really good for the prices and it provides some delicious yet Tummy-filling dishes👌👍

Good veg restaurant. Nice food. But a bit costly compared to other restaurants. But the food is served well and ambience is also welcoming and purely clean.
Mmdd
Their masala dosa n other dosas r worth tryin n draws the crowds... Even in deliveries, hav received steaming hot food.. Recommendin is redundant as it is in the top vegetarian eateries..
Joel
Good veg food, good ambience and reasonable pricing. The food quality is not what it once was. The varieties of chutneys available are what keeps me coming back time and time again. But, it is still not in the league of the original Saravana Bhavan of Chennai.
Rinzu
The delivery was prompt and the food tasted good. The menu has a wide range of options especially curries and dry sabji. Packing of food needs to be improved.
Jassim Assis
Am not a big fan of vegetarian foods. But in love with chaat! And Saravana Bhavan is true match for the chaat lover in you! Good service and ambiance.

For all the people who love south indian food and tamil style food this place is recommended and me being from andhra found the food really similar to andhra cuisine also. Located near edapally toll area , this place is always busy around the clock and the food here is always the best.
Paper masala dosa and horlicks is what I had and it was filling and tasty and must try over there.
Ravi Shankar
The restaurant manager is so arrogant, I had ordered one ghee masala dosa and was delivered ghee roast dosa, in calling and informing the same, the manager started to chide me with the suggestion that I can do whatever I want...seriously.....!!!!!!! Wtf!!!!!
Shridurga Sundaram
Today I ordered curd rice today. The consistency of the rice is too watery. It looks like kanji only. So please improve your quality of the food.
Excellent place around Edapally Toll region to have vegetarian food. We sat in the AC fine dining area and had an excellent experience. Service was not so quick, but it's always okay to wait for good food.

As starters, we had mushroom lollipop which was smoking hot, good enough to burn your tongue. Later came the Kulchas, Paneer Kadai, Rajma masala and Baby corn curry.

I missed trying out their most common dish, Masala dosa. Certainly going back to try them later.

My verdict..

Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
VFM:4/5
Location: 5/5

chutney was not that good.
food as a whole is good.

but the app is giving false promise on discount.

We have ordered for vada and the food was good. But they have not provided sambar , red chutneys. Only accompanied was with white chutney, and we were really disappointed.

This place is love for vegetarians!

I have tried almost everything from their menu: Schezwan noodles, cheese pav bhaji, dahi poori, samosa chaat, dal and jeera rice. Everything is superb!

Their prep are fresh and quick and taste heavenly. Great place. 😃

Filter Coffee
(The best filter coffee that is available in and around edapally area is Saravana Bhavan. Perfectly filtered coffee with enough amount of coffee beans powder and milk. A slight pinch of coffee flavours makes it more unique in filter Coffee. Do try it out if u love coffee)
.
.
Price: ₹20/-
Personal Rating: 4.1/5

We have been to this outlet for breakfast recently. Initially we thought this was a branch of the Sarawana Bhavan in Chennai, but we were mistaken. The ghee masal roast ordered was ok, nothing remarkable. The decor was artful. Was not a bad experience all in all.
This is one of the best vegetarian restaurant there is in edapally. The price is affordable and the food is top notch. And clean. Very clean.
Very good service at the restaurant.
Enough parking space.

I would rate it as the best vegetarian restaurant in Kochi. They are present at 2 locations in Kochi . Edapally and Kacherippady. I visit both frequently. Chat items at Edapally restaurant are must try. My favorites among chat items are "Bombay Pav Bhaji" and Mixed Chat. I would not recommend chats at their Kacherippady outlet. Other items are good at Kacherippady too. Mushroom masala dosa was awesome at Kacherippady outlet.
Aadyy
Super expensive n not worth it. Limited parking and average service..They put green peas in masala which I personally dont like..Puri is too oily, tea tastes good. There are lots of other veg restaurants in kochi with a better service, tasty food and lower rates.
Neeta VK
This place has the best vegetarian food & the staff here are very caring and responsible. Their idlies, ghee masala dosa & poori masala brings water in my mouth.
Best stop for Vegetarians...

Super crowded place, obviously because of the food, fresh sought after food. Its a place for you if you want to eat good South Indian food and want to leave early. Not a place to hang out sit down, talk and eat.

Food is definitely good. Their pulao and curd rice is a delicacy.
Ordered wheat porotta, that was a disaster.
Gobi chilli was decent.

The place is a little untidy and there's a problem of flies. So, that's something that bogged me down in this visit.

Super huge parking space. Both outside the restaurant and basement as well. A

I will not suggest any one to have food from Hotel Saravana Bhavan cause they are looting money from people like this. First they give me actual bill and when I went to pay bill through card they put an additional 16 rupees ask TIP. when I noticed it they tried to extort the bill from my hand n and they told me to don't tell anyone about it and returned back my money which De taken from my account as cash. please check the bill with the receipt from the POS machine cause they will loot the money like this.

Fine Vegetarian Food with Excellent Service

Dropped in for dinner at the end of a very tiring day and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food on offer.

Food:
I had their Ghee Dosa, a Naan and Panneer gravy combo followed by a vada and then a glass of fresh juice ( Boy was I Hungry!). The Ghee Dosa and Vada were both extremely good. The Naan combo too did not disappoint.

Ambiance and Service: 10 on 10
There is ample parking space, the place is quite large but well maintained. The service deserves special mention here,
apart from the food being served quickly, The staff were extremely courteous and were kind enough to let me charge my phone and allow me to wait till it was time for my bus.
Such simple things elevate a dining experience because when you visit a restaurant, its not just to stuff yourself with food but to have an experience, and these people seem to understand that

Pricing:
Reasonably Priced

Verdict:
Strongly Recommended!

Had my southindian meal from Here, wanted to have some dosai and I ended up here. The ambience was very clean and calm. The staff was polite and nice while taking the order. I ordered one masala dosai and one paneer dosai both tasted very scrumptious and delectable in flavours. It was very fresh and hot while they served. A vada was complimentary with side dishes like chutney and Sambhar. It was a pleasurable meal I had.

I have lunch from Saravana Bhavan almost every day as it’s pretty close to my college. The meals only cost Rs.85 and it’s extremely good. The currys are prepared in a Tamilian way which I really love. So if you are looking for a Keralean meals, I wouldn’t suggest this place. But I don’t really care for the Payasam that comes with the meals. I guess that’s something they should improve on.

Their masala dosa is one of the best I’ve had recently. Light dosa and the filling is extremely tasty. Their chutneys are also really good. The only mistake I’ve made is the kesari I ordered. You guys need to change it entirely. It tastes of really bad ghee and leaves an aftertaste as well. The staff is really fast and efficient. Overall I am really happy with this place.

Visited this place on the way from thrissur to Cochin... the place is huge... they have a lot of service staff... order is taken quickly... food arrives promptly...
We orders for masala dosas... butter dosas and poori masala...
The food was great... chutneys that came with the dosas were also great... authentic... chefs were from Tamil Nadu...
Iv reduced points in my review only because the wash area is poorly maintained and stinks..
Need to work on their washroom hygiene... Can't step in without feeling sick....
Nithin Ashok
Saravana bhavan location is really good, service is really slow and need to be improved...Had coffee and masala dosa.. both were as good as expected. Overall a good vegetarian restaurant around Edapally.

I personally like this place very much. The food is tasty and ambience inside AC restaurant is nice. They have interesting chat and pav bhaji options as well.Weekend evenings are pretty crowded though.Do go and try the interesting vegetarian options :)

Pls make a malayalee to attend the call. And they should have some patience to here what we say. Today when I called he didn't even have the patience to here what I say and ended the call before I complete the talk

Better than the usual aryas. Good high quality veg food. Good ambience and good service. Parking space is ok.
Selection of chat in the evening is also great.
I usually visit for dinner. Good selection of chinese and north indian dishes.

Good food, fast and friendly service and ample space for parking. Nice place to go out for good veg food. Masala dosa and oothappam were really good.

You will their restaurants at many places. It’s a Vegetarian restaurant and famous for South Indian food my favourite here is coffee and plan dosa
Rmandava70
Stopped for breakfast. Their puttu with chana curry is excellent. Curry is having mild coconut flavor but it is amazing. Dosa is crispy and tasty with thick coconut chutney and sambar. Warm Water is served in red color. It is extract of Pathimugam spice (Indian redwood) and I was told it is healthy to have it while having food. Overall an excellent experience for breakfast.
Sidharth C.R
An okay place for vegetarian among the many vegetarian restaurants open in this area. The true taste though seems missing in this one
Priced at somewhat an average, the service is quick and pricing is comfortable making it one of the easiest choices to dine.

Was visiting during the Onam season (being a Chennaite), when the whole city had an amazing vibe. My Kochi based friend took me here to sample their Onam sadya. Must say it was amazing. The whole experience was great, the accompaniments very tasty, service fast and efficient and got a feel of Onam with that one sumptuous meal.
Especially like their palada pradhaman ! Go for it if you want a slice of kerala on a leaf !
Prateek Agrawal
Yumm Ghee Masala dosa :)
was missing the taste of sarvana bhavan which I used to have in cannnught place, delhi - so make a halt here from my journey to my hotel from Airport.
Ajitha Balakrishnan
Had vada and poori from there.qt average.vadas were not cooked properly.peculiar taste of tamil restaurants. Overpriced for the kind of food they served.
Roshan Kumar
It's also one of the famous restaurant around the city and the food is so tasty and I like coffee and lemon tea it was good and everything was good the staffs also nice character and taking care of the peoplesin a very decent manner and every time the food is at same taste that's the main thing to watch it's difficult to do so that's it.
Roshan
Every food was so cheap rate and the food was also too good and superb I visit so many times to this hotel and the servers also well taken care of the peoples again and again the taste of the food remains in my tongue and I am visiting to the hotel often

Sujith Rajagopal
Visited many times before some of their outlets in TamilNadu.Compared to that its very clean and good in Cochin.Staffs are very kind.We ordered masala dosa, poori masala and apam kadala.Masala dosa is very small but tasty.Poori also good.Kadala curry with appam is very good with a different taste.Price is in normal side.
Bhavya Venugopal
My go-to place these days for good, affordable veg food. Delicious dosas, fresh and tasty snacks (their parippuvada and pazhampori are just yummmm), and not a bad place for North Indian dishes either. I absolutely love their garlic chutney powder.
Is it just-another-veg-place? Probably. But would easily make it to the top 5 veg-only places. The others in my list being Brindavan, Ambiswamys, Nandanam, & the Saravana Bhavan near High Court.

We usually prefer this place on movie days at LuLu. Had been here for Lunch and evening Snacks. Reasonable price. Ample parking space. Hygienic. Had tomoto rice, It was oily. Dosa items are good
Krishnadas Ravindran
Ever since my affinitiy for vegetarian food began to rise, I've been visiting vegetarian restaurants more than ever. One among them is Saravana Bhavan. The food here is quite good with my only gripe being the quantity. I've had chappathis, mushroom biriyani, mushroom masala and chilli paneer from here and apart from the biriyani which even though good, didn't compare much to the rest which were great. The service here is prompt but the place is crowded during peak hours and as the parking space is limited, parking becomes a headache. Ambience is as expected from a vegetarian restaurant and I feel that's adequate. Price on the other hand is quite cheap but for some people like me, the quantity of food may feel inadequate. Overall, highly recommended, for the vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Great ambience and Courteous Staff. Excellent South Indian Food!!! Serve lunch on banana plantain leaf. Pretty good place for North Indian Food too. An economical place to have food

The food is good. Ambience and service is also good. But the cup they serve tea looks unwashed! Tea cups are not cleaned properly.
Ordered Masala Dosa and Plain Roast
They had served thesr with 3 chutneys and sambar. The food was ok so is the chutney.
Nothing special, just an ordinary restaurant with ordinary menu
