Pothichoru is their signature dish,it's good.Have tried multiple times from there .Their quality seemed to deterioate slightly in the last few visits.Chicken fry was not good,it was too oily.Biriyani was also not upto to the mark.However,their pothichoru and other dishes might be worth a try.

Visited here with huge expectation but their food.price everything dissapointed.had kappa biriyani and its below average.quantity is not enough for their price.

A place with a concept of pothichoru (Packed rice).So expect a meal in the form of  a parcel .We ordered Chicken briyani,pothi choru (meals).Pothichoru (meals) came with an omlete and one fried fish along with kadala curry (Bengal gram gravy).The pothichoru seemed to be tasty but briyani had too much dalda.The place is small so its better to have a take away rather than dine-in. <br/><br/>cost for two :200-250

I was on the way to office when I noticed this place. It was around 1 pm so decided to have lunch. Ordered chapati combo. I had to wait around 15 minutes for the food to arrive. It was served in a large tray. The food was hot and fresh. The food was delicious. Sadly we get only two chapatis. They have only 2-3 tables but decent parking space on the road side. I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Recently tried the 'Elapothichoru' from Aavi. We had it ordered to our place. The food is really nice, The homely feel of eating from a Vazahyila is spot on.  Only suggestion I have is that you could have a bit more quantity and a small curry like 'Moru' along with the parcel.   The parcel charge is on the higher side I felt. <br/><br/>Otherwise food was really good and fresh.  Will definitely visit again and suggest to friends. :)

Truly saying, I was skeptical to go in for their delivery after the reviews. But husband insists that we give them a fair chance before coming to a conclusion. So then on a tired and hungry afternoon, we dialled them for meals and chicken fry. To my surprise, they arrived within forty minutes as informed. The packing was intact and now coming to the meal; must say it was tasty and satisfying. The chicken fry was Spicy with onions nicely fried and packed in banana leaf. Overall the quality and quantity was not compromised. I thoroughly recommend this place. Go ahead! Enjoy!

I haven't dinned in this restaurant. Always ordered in. As it's the Aavi express they have limited thing on the menu. But as the name suggests they do bring your food on time and the staff is very polite and always has a smile when they deliver the food. The packaging of the food makes it very appealing to the eye as well. Would be trying out the snacks which they are providing there.

Nice food, but if you want to get lunch order it while having your breakfast :)<br/><br/>Yesterday I ordered for lunch by 12.30 they told me they will deliver it by 1.30 but I got it by 2.30 only. *Update, Today I had my second order with Aavi, the time taken to deliver was around 1.45 hours. Team please work out on the delivery time.<br/><br/>We ordered for a veg meal and chicken biriyani. Veg meals was very homely and I liked it very much. But considering the price I think some more rice should be there. Chicken biriyani had two big pieces and an egg. So that it will be enough for a person.<br/><br/>Overall experience is good expect that the waiting time for home delivery.

Aaavi !! Wow wow !! Real good experience. My all time favorite is Kappa Thaalichathu. Whenever we thinks of having food outside, Aavi instantly comes to our mind. It will be real good if you can shift Kakkanad outlet to a larger space. Parking is also a problem. Otherwise no complaints about food. Hoping to have more veggie dishes :) :)

I am also a regular visitor of Aavi express especially for the "elapothi" that they serve during the afternoon. It is very tasty and is a treat for bachelors like me who would not waste any opportunity to have some homely food. Recently they introduced "kanji" for dinner and soon I found myself buying that too regularly. Its very tasty and really healthy too. I would recommend anyone who would love to have some tasty homely food to try the Aavi express "elapothi" in the afternoon and also the "kanji" at night. Thank you Aavi.

I have tried the chapathi, chicken curry, appam and egg ulli roast. The food is really good but I find the quantity a little lacking. For the price being charged, they can surely increase the quantity. Absolutely no complains of the food or service, the staff is efficient, the chapathis hand made, the appams fluffy, and the curries are also fresh.<br/><br/>Note to the management: It would be helpful to let the people ordering over telephone that you charge 30/- for delivery. That's unexpected, and also because you guys only have a take away counter here at Vazhakkala, it is really not fair to charge such an amount. For the price you charge, you can definitely afford to increase the quantity and make delivery free at least in within a 3km radius.

Was already impressed by their 'ilapoti choru', payar talichatu etc. But this time I thought of writing a review for the kanji combo. Was like a much awaited dish for me. Read from a few online sites about the kanji server by Aavi in their other restaurants and I was asking the people in the Take Away counter when will they also start serving the same.<br/><br/>Got a chance to try it yesterday.<br/>Cost: 110 INR<br/>Includes:<br/># Two cups of kanji (tasted above good!)<br/># Payar thoran<br/># Chammanti - spicy coconut chammanti (y)<br/># Chemmen - chemmen achar<br/># pickle<br/># pappadam - 2 pappads! Thanks guys<br/># salt (never expected this in the parcel. Though I didn't need the additional salt may some one find this useful)<br/># kappa<br/><br/>Was more than sufficient for dinner. Someone else may find this as the right quantity. But I am sure nobody will have to argue on the taste attribute. Try it and enjoy.
