Review Kai-shek - Kochi (Cochin)

This restaurant is right behind chiyang - we actually had food here because parking was not available in chiyang. It was a good decision. Food is good, service is also good. We ordered schezwan chicken noodles, chicken fried rice and dragon chicken.. all were good. I would recommend this place.

One of my favourite Chinese restaurants. Nice ambience. Good customer service. Food quality is ok but good quantity of food. One full rice/noodles is enough for two people. I like their schewan fried rice, chilly paneer and chilly mushroom. Nice place to dine in with family or friends.

The food was delicious and staff was amazing. I really enjoyed the food.

Clean and Neat, good customer care. Nice food too.. Odered food can sever within a limited time. Quantity of food is heavy. One full fried rice/noodles can serve 3 adults easily. Taste of the chilly chicken was also good.. Good place for family's with kids

Good portion and tasty Chinese food. Pricing is right too. I just didn't like the Creame of Chicken soup. It was a Chinese version of the soup not the original kind.

Huge.. The food is tasty and has got the authenticity.. be careful while ordering.. The portions are huge.. A half fried rice can serve two.. Service is good.. Ambience is good.. Parking is available..

Food is tasty. I used to have kaishek mixed fried rice and kaishek mixed noodles. Quantity of food is great. Environment is good. I suggest this restaurant for Chinese dishes.

Tastes great..Good service.... There are 3 restaurants opposite and adjacent to each other at this same place... Kaishek, Sardarji ka dhaba and Chiyang....

Taste is okay and they provide good quantity. Nice ambience. Overall just an okay Chinese restaurant.

great food..people tend to miss this one and go into chiyang..but the food here is just as good if not better

What better to write my first review on than Kai-Shek?<br/>I've been on Zomato on quite a while, but no restaurant has quite so compelled me to sit down and write a review on my experience.<br/><br/>People weren't kidding when they say Kai-Shek is among the top 3 Chinese restaurants in Kochi.<br/><br/>The ambience is not what you would expect an "authentic" Chinese restaurant to be. Yet, it's a great place to unwind and share a meal with friends.<br/>Our waiter was extremely friendly and even had some tips for us to choose dishes we would love.<br/><br/>The Pork and Prawn noodles was one of the best noodles I've had in a while. My mouth is watering as I write this.<br/>However I found the prawn to overpower the dish and sideline the pork. Also, the pork was overcooked and hard.<br/><br/>The Chicken and Prawn noodles, while extremely satisfying, did not serve to give us a different taste than what we'd experienced from the Pork and Prawn.<br/>Again, I found the prawn to overpower the chicken.<br/><br/>The Chicken Fried Rice was extremely good.<br/>Although, I found it slightly dry.<br/><br/>The Dragon Chicken was amazing. Juicy, succulent chicken with a mouthful of flavor. I don't usually like cashews in a meat dish, but I loved the addition of flavour it imparted.<br/><br/>Portion sizes are unbelievable at the price stated. A full portion of a dish is more than enough for two people. And if you know me, you'll know I wouldn't say that if I wasn't serious.<br/><br/>To sum it up, I had a wonderful experience at Kai-Shek. I'm looking forward to trying more of their dishes.<br/>I would definitely recommend you to visit this place.<br/><br/>P.S I apologize for the lack of photos. I was too busy gorging on the food.

Nice ambience. when the nearby chiyaang is out of table People move to this place .Mostly filled with void tables. Takes a lot of time for food preparation .

Very bad customer care ,I ordered by credit card and those guys cancelled my order due to card payment . Really disappointed about the order

Awesome place for a good Chinese experience, Love it! But i did have an awful experience last time when I found out that the chilly pork I ordered wasn’t cooked properly.

nice ...i like the food and service ....and the boy keeps delivered in the correct time.

Went there by chance however was surprised and loved the food. Not an extravagant place and good value for money. The fried rice and chilly pork was quite good and a big portion for 2 people.

Stale chilly beef was served at this restaurant. My mother and wife was able to pick up the smell immediately. Well this could be one off incident I guess. Fried rice and pork was good. Food is cheap and quantity is good.

Very bad food. Ordered fried mixed fried rice and chilly chicken. Fried rice is not good and the rice is not even boiled enough. And chilly chicken is very dry and hmmm hopeless.

Its an indian Chinese restaurant .....i m not a big fat for their food as well as service there service is too bad i had many items on there many i found only fries rice and chilly chicken is good among the whole

Very good place. Good service. And of course good food. Another Chinese food place to go if you love it. Try the chicken noodles which I did. My friend ordered a veg dish and it was promising too. Give it a try !

Kai shek is just another Indian Chinese restaurant... Nothing to remember nothing to talk about ...<br/><br/>Service - The service is horrendous the waiters have no idea what's going on they are very disinterested.<br/><br/>Food - like all Indian Chinese its the same excessive use of colour and ajinamoto ...I choose kai shek so I can eat this type of food ... But these guys just went over the top on colouring and ajinamoto .<br/><br/><br/>

Small place but with a lot of promise. Self service is what this place is all about so help yourself. Went in with friends a few days ago to this place and ordered chicken biriyani. Loved it. The thing which I loved about the Biriyani is that the spices were jellying together pretty well. Cool place give it a try foodies.

i found eaten chicken bone in the veg fried rice i ordered...i should have taken a pic but in tht sudden anger forgot too.... :-( they did replace but tht does not accept the fact they served the bal of someone else's..thereby concluding that they use the balance of someone else's and mixes with new and serve... <br/>good luck to whoever eats from there...especially the vegetarians...

My favourite food centre at banerji road.... Good food, worth the price... All three courses are better than one another.... The only draw back is the seating facility is limited....
