We went there as a group and tried various items including special 'kizhi biriyani'. Just loved the taste mostly, except the veg gravy. Their starters are tasty and different. Kizhi biriyani was really nice, with no oily effect. Nan and paratha items was soft and tasty. Tried different falooda and they were heavy and delicious.
Special thanks to the manager who is ready to attend customers and explain the dishes as per needs.

I would recommend Aangan for both foodies and for the ones who would like to enjoy food with family. A calm place with great ambience though in the midle of town. I had a memorable dinner with my friends with a lot of dining varieties. Papaya juice is being served as complimentory starter.

Aangan is one of the best Fine Dining restaurant in palarivattom area now. Ambience is really good. Perfect place to hangout with family,friends or colleagues. Great hospitality and customer service by Ajay and team.This is really a great spot with good food, good service and a wonderful atmosphere. You will definitely enjoy having a fine dining experience. They have a separate hall for arranging birthday parties and small meetings upto 80 pax. Highly recommended to friends and family!

The place is famous for its “Kizhi Biryani” and mutton dishes... good location, decent ambience and friendly staff.. the service is quick and prompt.. has ample parking too (underground parking).. make sure you go before 2 PM in the afternoon if you want to have the meals or biryani as the the place almost always runs on 90% + occupancy..

Aangan midnight foodcourt which is been situated at palarivattom, ernakulam, kerala. Which is a multi cuisine restaurant. I recall of a dine with my friend in this hotel. The experience was astonishing and we had a lot of shots of pictures of the retro articles there. It was a wonderful experience and will go often there for sure.

I had difficulty finding this place for the first time. It's located right next to K.R.What's special about aangan is that I'm very pleased with their service, a very dedicated team they have. Not every restaurant here greets you with a welcome drink. Their aangan special chicken biriyani is a must have , though it's priced at the higher end. Every ingredient seems to be in the right amount.

It's been a while I ve hearing about this place and last day I went to this place with three of my friends and we were starving when we got up there and a guy came to take the order and he looked and talked way too smart
for a waiter and I went for his suggestions and we ordered what he'd suggest and it was the best and he told a lot about this restaurant and I ve got really wondered when I came to know that that guy is the owner of the restaurant and hats off to him.. Really yummy and tasty food... Apart from that he gave us a wonderful company through out.... Great hospitality he walked us to our car...!! Everyone must go to this restaurant atleast once. It's been a while I was thinking to write a review about this place, so here it goes. Been here 4/5 times and I loved every visits. Not being disappointed so far. Good food , Good service. Yes their service is really good. You'll be happy to see the welcome drink after you're seated before even taking the order. Have tried many varieties from there, all were good. Lots to search in Menu, so you better ask them for the right combination. Keep going guys. Happy fooding.

I ordered Kizhi chicken and bref biriyani. The biriyani was not up to the price. The rice is now well cooked.its understood that the chicken and gravy cooked seperately. The gravy tasted like a masala curry. Its feels like Chicken is cooked in hot water without any masala and mixed with the gravy.chicken has no taste and only small one piece is in the biriyani. Even it has not the flavour of a biriyani. Its very bad experience with the restaurant. The beef biriyani also has the same experience. Kindly maintain the quality upto the price. The packing also was not good. The salad is cold. Very pathetic experience with the restaurant<br/>

The biriyani was really good. Two juicy chicken pieces and the highlight is that there is one boiled egg too which is rarely seen nowadays. Kudos to the biriyani cook!<br/><br/>However, I've one big complaint. The quantity of rice provided in online delivery is less :( even though biriyani taste is nice, what good is it if even after paying 160 rs, delivery fee, and tax, we are getting a biriyani which does not make our hunger go away?<br/><br/>My sincere request to Aangan team is to increase biriyani rice quantity by about 30 to 40% for it it to be fulfilling.<br/><br/>This is not just my opinion, I had ordered 2 biriyanis and even my friend was feeling the quantity was less.<br/><br/>Otherwise overall an excellent biriyani.

I've had an eye for this restaurant from a while. Today I got to try this. All i have to say is that, this is one of those finest places in Ernakulam, where you get the all in one package. I can't name a single thing that felt out of place in this restaurant. Excellent food along with the choices in the menu, polite and soft spoken staff with absolutely great customer service, serene ambience, exquisite quality and moderate pricing.<br/>This is one of those places that I'd go to again and again, seeking comfort food. Ordered beef kizhi biryani via zomato. Open a leaf packed with white rice and beef curry in the middle. taste NOWHERE near to a biryani. Small curry cut low quality cheap beef used ,which is not edible and mostly wasted. Rice is not even have biryani ghee whole spice flavour.Total disasters . Shame on Restaurant and chef .they should remove this item if they are not sure about preparation.Raita given was way too watery. Pickle average .<br/>Giving 1* just because of banana leaf packing.

Tried Chicken Kizhibiriyani today evening, they have failed to salvage their not-so-perfect rice. Chicken tastes “off” or seems a little sour. They had added Coconut oil to cover all these and when the dish was served, What I could smell was this. Paying 190 Rupees for this rice chicken mix is blunder. And about the service, they are slow. Disappointing.

A restaurant with great food and a really peaceful ambience. Being in the centre of the city it is really in the reach of everyone. It has spacious car parking near it. The rate is not so expensive compared to the service provided by the restaurant.

Ordered crispy fried veg through Zomato.Taste was good however was not at all healthy. The oil was just floating through the parcel box which made the dish loose its crispiness. The oil was too much. Please consider cooking food in oil in less proposition especially fried dishes has to be served after dripping oil completely

Bought a chicken stew once last week. Found it to be watered down to a thin soup. Thought it was a one time mistake. Bought the same stew again today. It was more watered down than last week. Chicken was not cooked well either. So it was no mistake. The biriyani and chicken curry bought by a family member a while back did not taste good either. Summary: this restaurant water their stews and curries to fill up the bowl as a standard culinary practice

My experience with this Restaurant was awesome .I had ordered an item( Angan Special Chicken Biriyani) to try out my first dish from this restaurant and i absolutely loved it!!The gravy was very tasty and the chicken tasted really good.I then ordered a Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice and it too did not fail to impress me even though I felt that it was a bit too spicy for me,but the taste really compensated for the spicyness. I Recommend to all to try out their food . Looking out to more tasty dishes from Aangan

Ordered Kerala cuisine food for family late evening.<br/>Had a very bad experience.<br/><br/>The nadan kozhi curry was not nadan at all.<br/>It was very watery and seemed like just coriander powder and turmeric powder mixed with tomato and onion in water.<br/><br/>The boiled rice was actually stale and couldn't be eaten. Unfortunately that's what we ordered for kids and they were forced to eat something else due to these guys sending us stale rice.<br/><br/>The chicken fried rice were ok. Not really indo-chinese fried rice. But consumable.<br/><br/>The Kerala porotta was good and fresh.<br/><br/>1 star for the stale rice. A restaurant should never send stale stuff. Instead say it's over.

It seems like the cooks here don't put in any effort to ensure that food tastes even mildly good - recently ordered Paneer Tikka, Aloo Jeera, Gobi Manchurian, Malai Kofta and Naans. Paneer Tikka was half burnt, cooked in a big hurry. Aloo Jeera was more like Aloo Bhaji, no jeera at all. Malai Kofta had a hundred elaichi in it, no salt in the curry. Gobi Manchurian was disgusting, soggy and prepared a long while ago, not fresh at all.<br/>Also, horrible service by the guy who took the order, who was very rude and unprofessional on the phone as he was 'angry' that I can't adjust to the fact that they don't have Palak Paneer, as the cook could not 'go to the market to buy Palak as it's a hartal'. Now why would I want to know these minor details, am I supposed to adjust for your horrible food as well? No thanks, not ordering here ever again. Mediocre food with no effort put into cooking. Don't call yourself an authentic North Indian restaurant.

Food is average, service is below average as this place is short staffed. The staff need to be given proper training, only then the service and etiquette will improve. Most of the time, there is one or two items missing from what we had ordered. I ordered biriyani as I saw description of special biriyani from aangan restaurant, says something special from chefs masterpiece blyk that. kinda expected a lot but after opened felt that doesn't even call it as biriyani, rice with chicken curry is rather suitable. size of the portion is also very low.

The food here is too good. Angan special chicken fry is a must try. The food tasted different and yummy. The best part of the restaurant is the host, Ajay welcomes everyone with a smile and he takes the order form every individual customer which is not something you can see in most of the restaurants here (exception are there).

Terrible food. We ordered the chicken tikka and special chicken biryani. We especially requested to reduce the oil content. Both biryanis arrived and were dripping in oil. The consistency was watery with a tablespoon of 'curry or masala' with a humongous piece of uncooked chicken in the special biryani and two really small pieces in the tikka biryani.<br/>The absolute worst part was that it wasnt even a biryani, it was fried rice mixed with masala. It was obvious with pieces of carrots and spring onions.<br/>We were really excited to try some north Indian style biryani and this turned out to be a huge disappointment.<br/>Please improve your food quality and don't make rookie mistake such as using fried rice for your biryanis.

I had a good experience while dining at this restaurant some months back. Hence, I ordered some food for home delivery. The quantity given in delivery is very less compared to what is got at restaurant. The worst experience I had is with Prawn batter fry. It had a very pungent smell and the worst taste. Biriyani quantity has become less compared to earlier days. The quality has gone down so much that I have decided not to go to this restaurant anymore.
