Review Manna Restaurant - Kochi (Cochin)

Fazil Salam
I recently tried the ghee rice and beef curry combo at Manna Restaurant, and I must say it's one of the most affordable yet high-quality combos you can find in Kochi. For just 180 rupees, you get not only a delicious meal but also a sweet ending with payasam and a refreshing lime juice. Additionally, their tea and snacks counter is a must-try. However, it's worth noting that the seating area is quite small, and the hygiene of the shop could be better maintained. Despite that, the value and taste of the food make it a great place for a budget-friendly, satisfying meal.

Space might be limited but their food is simply out of this world. Easily the best biryani in town now and especially their mutton biryani. Even Paragon and Didingul Thalapakatti have their job cut out for them as to what is the established benchmark in biryanis in Cochin. The mutton literally melts in your mouth and the flavours and spices are simply amazing. Lip smacking Good. And they have some superb stuff besides their biryanis too - their porottas are so soft and fluffy and large and their nadan beef fry preparations will put to shame even the best of Syrian and Chettinadan Coconut flaked beef fry preparations. Must also try their Kondattem Chicken Fry. Our guests from Australia were floored by it. Desserts - they have this amazing preparation of ripe bananas diced and served with nuts and raisins.

Food is excellent with the authentic taste. Have all kinds of tea snacks. Service is fast. There is not enough parking space available.

It's a great place to have evening snacks, we didn't went there afternoon so we don't know about their lunch items. But evening they have good variety of snack, we loved especially the chicken nuggets with mayonnaise. The tea was spot on good, and definitely love the cozy interior. Parking is an issue though please be aware.

A decent spot to hang out with friends and family. I have ordered their chicken and beef biriyani , which was served on plantain leaves along with coconut chutney, pickles and salad. Taste wise, the biriyani was good. Ambience is good and service is ok. Overall a decent spot to hand out with friends and family.

This is a good hangout place. Close to central park, good tea and good food. What I like most about Mannas is that they have a lot of snacks to choose from, and the service is good too. They experiment with recipes and ingredients so it's always refreshing. Since I'm mostly in the area during the evening, I never thought of trying their food, but if it's any good as the tea and the snacks, then this place should be on your go-to list of good food spots.

I have been to this restaurant few times. Their madak chapattis are really good. MOHABBAT TEA IS A MUST TRY! Perfect blend of herbs n spices add a refreshing twist to this tea and it’s the best to have after a heavy meal. Infact u can have it any time of the day! This restaurant also has Biriyani which is good.

Perfection in cooking the rice for Ghee-rice and biriyani. Quality of the ingredients is excellent. Their effort in making their dishes standout in their quality and taste is evident.
