Review Aminia Golpark - Kolkata (Calcutta)

We tried chicken malai kabab, mutton biriyani, chicken chap and cold drink. Biriyani is so good in taste. Also the mutton is too soft to eat. Chap gravy was also very tasty. Biriyani tastes a little different than the esplanade branch. But it's good.

A good place to have lunch or dinner with family or friends. Food is very good and prices are moderate. Didn't get some dishes as it was puja time may be. The staff were polite and helpful. The overall experience is very nice.

Oh my god, damn good food. Affordable and I loved the Special Mutton Biryani and the Tandoori Chicken. They serve ultimately great food! I just love it

Today we visited the restaurant based on my daughter's reference. We ordered 1) Mutton handy Biryani, chicken gravy. I like it most for 1) Good quality 2) Good quantity 3) superb taste 4) super service I highly recommend this restaurant.

Heaven for Biryani lovers. If you are a biryani lover & you are at Gariahat then you should visit this place. The food is great & the ambience also. It has AC & the restaurant is very well maintained. Recommendations: Mutton biryani, chicken biryani, tangadi kebab & sweet lime soda.

Always wanted to try biryani in Kolkata and I guess I landed in the perfect place. Aminia is known for their kati rolls and biryani. Tried their mutton and chicken biryani. It was delicious but quite different as it came with a huge chunky potato! Totally unique, who doesn’t love potatoes! :)

The ambiance of this place is very good.The music is playing very softly, so the atmosphere here has become more beautiful. It is located on the 1st floor. Ground floor is only for those who do online order(swiggy,zomato).You have to go to 1st floor to sit and eat.And for bathroom/toilet you have to go to 2nd floor.There is lift facility to go to 1st floor/2nd floor.When entering here, there is one person, he is keeping track of how many people are entering, for that you have to give the mobile number of one of them.Tables & chairs are very nicely arranged in a very small space.Even the behavior of the waiters is very good.

The Murg Haryali Kabab and Mutton handi biriyani is very delicious. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

I have visited this Aminia Golpark outlet yesterday(17th june'23). As per my experience, it is the best outlet of Aminia if we consider the food quality, ambience and service. The restaurant is spacious, clean, well decorated and the staff are very polite and courteous. We have tried below items 👇 1. Murgh Jehangiri Kebab - We supposed to order chicken reshmi kebab but as per their recommendation we tried this Jehangiri Kebab and it was absolutely delicious. You will get 4 pieces of soft, juicy kebab which are bigger than usual size. 2. Watermelon Cucumber Mojito - It was refreshing and having nice flavour. 3. Mutton Special Biryani - The biryani was excellent as per the quality and the mutton pieces. If you order this Mutton Special Biryani then you will get 2 pieces of mutton, 1 piece aloo and 1 piece egg along with the rice which can be shared by 2 persons. 4. Mango Firni and Shahi Firni - We have tried both Mango and Shahi Firni. I would recommend Mango Firni over Shahi Firni because of it's flavourful taste. I am providing the pictures of all the items mentioned above.

Tried Chicken Tikka kabab, Chicken malai kabab and Chicken reshmi kabab. Out of these everything was great except the malai kabab. For main course we ordered mutton awadhi biryani. Which was ok. Rice were a bit dry and the some mutton pieces were a bit too chewy. Overall a decent place.

Had a wonderful experience in recent past.This restro is serving mughlai delicacies for quite a long time. I've visited there for the third time and this time i tried their mutton handi biryani which was really tempting.The only con of the Dish is that one handi cannot be shared by 2 person as the rice quantity is less than dum biryani and mutton pieces were extremly tender , small in size otherwise the dish is absolutely fine having nice aroma , beautifully cooked rice and color 👌.Other dishes are good. Hope they will rectify these flaws. Its a must visit restaurant.

Late that evening, we all felt that Biriyani is the only food that could satiate our hunger! So we went to Golpark Southern Aminia. As we wanted to spend the dinner time at home along with our kids, we took the parcel. Mutton Biriyani (Spl) is enough for 2 person which comes at 499/- ( same rate for chicken biriyani too). The dish comes with 1 potato & 1 egg. They also have the option of ordering extra potato or extra egg, if you feel so. We opt for extra potato! We also ordered Chicken Rashmi kabab along with Biriyani. Must admit, both the dishes were superb and very very tasty. Plan to visit once again!

Biriyani was so good, Chicken pieces just melted.. Awsome biriyani they cooked. We have ordered Chicken Malai Kabab.. Taste was so good & got some smoky effect, which we want, specially in Kabab.. Just wow..I will go there again.. Highly recommended🤟🤟

One of the best restaurant for tasting biryani. Monn biryani biryani korle chole Jaan AMINIA te ( If you wish to have biryani you must taste it from this place) Tried the mutton dum handi biryani it was good with 4 small pieces of mutton and mutton tawa masala was also Good to taste and was going well with their Biryani. Obviously their mocktails need improvement, but tasted okay. Nolen gur icecream was also great 👍 Overall good experience and recommended!

Absolute fine dining experience. The location is easily available and there are many landmarks nearby, so that part is easy. Now, this branch looks and feels better than any other South Kolkata branch. The ambience is very nice, specially try the out-facing chairs. I will leave pictures. The staff's behaviour is very pleasant, something not quite seen in other good restaurants. They ask when and in which order to bring ordered food, allow you to sit wherever you want, let you spend time even after paying. Damn good people. Coming to the food. I had Chicken Malai Kebab, Mutton Awadhi Biryani (2 pieces), Mutton Tawa Masala and Butter Naan. The Awadhi Biryani tastes good in its bottom portion, the upper part is a bit dry, but as you dig in, you will feel the magic. And seriously, one hell of a large Butter Naan, seriously, 4 large cuts. Mutton Tawa Masala was very low in quantity for its price. Most side dishes here are scam. Try the kebabs and biryanis. Handi Biryanis are famous here. Heads up, Shahi Tukra is not available as dessert. That's all from my side, check out pics and menu.

I really love Aminia .. and it’s chicken Bhatt’s with masala kulcha.. it’s a perfect combo for me .. chicken Bharta has the perfect consistency and the kulcha is definitely soft and full of flavours a must try

One of the worst experiences in such a reputed restaurant. The chicken piece was stale, too small in size and there was zero freshness to it. Extremely disappointed with the degradation in quality of Aminia

When you are hungry you got aminia They have so much to offer like varieties of biriyani and all. U name it and they'll provide you. Aminia saved our hungry tummy quite a lot. Taste is amazing and but the quantity is absolutely fine. Specially chicken reshmi kebab was amazing.

This restaurant is located near gopark, Gariahat. It's a 2 storey building. Ground floor for home delivery and takeway.<br/>The 1st floor u can get sitting arrangement for around 30-40 people.<br/><br/>Ordered:-<br/>Special Biryani for home delivery. The place was quite good. The biriyani was good but the chicken chaap was not that good. But price is a bit high but overall okay.

This is a place i have been visiting right from my childhood. The ambience is amazing and the food is to die for. Love the biriyani and the chicken butter masala of this place.

I had ordered food from here a few times during lockdown. The chicken biriyani i ordered was very bland and didn't taste as good. However the butter naan and mutton handi were delicious. The naans were massive and the handi was rich and tasty. The Firni was also good.

Located at Golpark. Visited so many times! A perfect family restaurant. The ambiance is good. The food items are really great in taste. The quality and quantity both are great! The staffs are warm and welcoming. But here in Mutton biriyani the mutton pieces were not so soft. Otherwise all the other items were very good. The rumali rooti with chicken was amazing. The kebabs were melting inside and tasted heavenly! You must try! <br/>

Golpark aminia is a great mughlai restaurant. It's ambience is very friendly and staffs are also good. Must try here biryani and chicken bharta... And should end your meal with firni must .

Ordered today from Aminia. I have always loved Aminia at New Market and have tried the New Town branch. Today the food was delivered from Golpark branch. Yummy biryani as always, ample rice, less oily, tender mutton with a cute potato all packed in a nice red box.<br/><br/>Loved the food and definitely would be ordering again<br/>

When it comes to biriyani I always prefer aminia but they should do some experiments and bring up with some new dishes otherwise it’s a good place to have dinner or lunch with your family members

A biryani lover's heaven.<br/>We ordered-<br/>•Chicken Awadhi biryani(5/5)-Highly recommended as it is one of their best dishes you will taste. I can't describe it in words,you need to have it yourself. It also has small koftas which add on to the taste.<br/>•Lahori chicken (4.5/5)-The gravy was delicious and was a perfect side dish with biryani.<br/><br/>Overall ambiance was good and staffs were polite.

The tandoori roti was like papad. One of the worst tanduri chicken I have ever had (Not fresh). Not even served the pudina chutney. Unhygienic packing. Please improve the quality.

There was a discount on icici bank credit bank . I paid through it and repeatedly informed the manager and the waiter that i am paying through it but still they didnt gave discount. Pathetic staff

Was here for dinner with my family.<br/>Tried out the tandoori for starters which were average. For main course ordered chicken biryani,chicken tandoori butter masala and chicken handi. Biryani was good and the handi was great loved that side.<br/>For dessert gajar Ka Halwa was the show stealer.<br/>Loved the preparation.<br/>Service was a bit slow and biryani wasn't steaming hot.

So i visited this place when GIRF offer was going on. I ordered all mutton dishes but the waiter for once didn't say that mutton is not under the offer. After we almost finished eating, the manager came and said that they won't accept the GIRF deal. Not only this but he was extremely rude. When I questioned him why he didn't tell me before ordering, he said that it wasn't his 'job'. So i guess, I would never visit this place ever. Also when the restaurant owners get to know that someone wants to avail GIRF coupon, their behavior changes then and there. The food quantity and quality both deteriorates. I am never visiting this place again.

We all know about the top biryani places in Kolkata and @Aminia was one of them. And specially this branch of aminia was really good rather than other branches. Starting from the interior to the ambience and food, it's totally feels you a complete mughlai Couisin. The quality of the food was really good as well as the taste of the food and also the staffs were very courteous and friendly.<br/><br/>Ambience- I gave the Ambience 10/10 bcz it's quite peaceful and some gazal type songs were playing at the background and you enjoyed your meal at that time it's a perfect combination. <br/><br/>Interior- The decor of the restaurant was quite simple some photos of Kolkata's heritage places were hanging on the wall and it had 40-50 people sitting arrangement at a time.<br/><br/>Service- Nothing to say about service, it's really admirable. It served with salad and two types of chutney, one was our common green chutney and another one was special, it's a white base chutney which made with curd and Malai.<br/><br/>/Main Course/<br/><br/>||Mutton Awadhi Biriyani||- This one cost INR 380 and it had two big size mutton pieces along with one potato,one egg and some mutton kofti ball. The quantity of the rice was sufficient for two people. The biriyani had a nice aroma and tasted really great and the most important thing was that it not so rich. The quality of mutton pieces were really good and juicy and so soft that it could literally melting in your mouth. And the potato also well boiled. You should try this, it's one of the best biriyani I ever tried.#Recommended<br/><br/>|| Chicken Awadhi Biryani||- As like the mutton biryani it consists two pieces of good size chicken, one egg, one potato and few small koftas which were generally made from mutton keema. And the price was same as like Mutton biryani it cost INR 380 and as the quantity was sufficient for two person so the price was justified. Biryani had a nice flavor and aroma. #Recommended<br/><br/>||Butter Nun||- The nun was soft and tasted as like any ordinary nun and it's cost INR 50 and it's a good companion with any gravy.<br/><br/>/Side Dishes/<br/><br/>||Mutton Awadhi Kasa||- This one cost INR 190 and it had two medium size mutton piece. At first experience the quantity was poor for the price we paid. By the way the taste of the gravy was really good, it's medium spicy and absorbed all flavors. #Recommended<br/><br/>||Chicken Isfahan||- This one was their one of the best signature dish I tried and it's not available in all branch of aminia. I specially come to this branch only for that item. It's cost INR 235 and it had two big size chicken pieces. So when you tried the chicken with the gravy then you first feel the sweetness of the staffing and then feel the spicyness of the gravy which made the dish a completely extraordinary. #Recommended<br/><br/>||Lahori Chicken||- It's also their one of the signature dish. The plate contains 4 pieces of medium size chicken piece in a very spicy gravy. And It's cost INR 235. The gravy had a strong flavor of garlic and the gravy looks fiery red as well as it tasted so spicy. But it's really good and I suggest you to try it with nun or any bread item rather than biryani then you feel the flavor properly. #Recommended<br/><br/>Inspite of this items I also tried there chicken Handi Masala few days back which also very delicious and good with rumali rooti and it's cost nearly about INR 180 - 190. It's also a recommend dish from me.<br/><br/>And I also tried their some of veg side dishes like ||sabji Ustad ki pasand||, ||Sahee Paneer|| which were also very tasty but I like sabji Ustad ki pasand more. Great ambience and food quality.

Today we went there for lunch. We had ordered chicken briyani and tandoori. Briyani was not up to the mark.Tandoori was not cooked properly. We complain ed bt second time it was same not cooked properly and it was stale.again we complained. Manager came and apologized. Though they parceled one tandoori it was not gud.Its was our frst visit and was very bad experience.

Recommended if you only like to drink water because anything else would be simply waste of money. Very rude staff and highly unprofessional behaviour of managers, they can't provide you with even simple amenities like spoon and if you ask them then they would act like as if you have asked for their kidneys.

Extremely unprofessional staff, no manners at all to talk with guests, very disrespectful and rude.<br/>Palak paneer was extremely salty, when we asked to change it, they mixed water in the gravy any served it. Paneer items were just horrible. It felt like they don't want to entertain the vegetarian guests at all and kept giving weird looks. Served all the food at once due to which it became cold. All breads were extremely tough. The two managers were extremely disrespectful and rude.

Ordered Chicken Kasturi kebab and chicken awadhi biriyani.. The kebabs were good but the chicken piece of the biriyani was not upto the mark.. Moreover the service was not good..overall not a very good experience..

I have tasted the Biryani and the Tandoori Chicken and I found both of the dishes to be pretty delicious. Wish to try more items and hope I'll enjoy them as well.

I had walked into this branch of Aminia the other day with a bunch of office colleague. And must I say, the lunch rocked.<br/><br/>We were 12 in number and each ordered a biryani of their own. I ordered myself a nice plate of their Aminia Mutton Biryani. The meat on the mutton was falling off the bone and honestly it couldn't get better.<br/><br/>We had also ordered in some Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Mutton Pasinda Kebab, Chicken Chaamp, Mutton Chaamp, Aminia Special Mutton Curry, Chicken Rezala and some Tandoori Roti along. Yes you're reading it right it was a complete feast.<br/><br/>In the end I had some lovely, hot gajar ka halwa and that fixed my entire meal time. Had a great afternoon and hoping to be back soon. The branches never disappoint!

Everyone knows how popular and consistent is aminia. They are serving delicious north Indian and mughlai food from many decades. We were there for lunch and ordered mutton Biriyani, tandoori roti and chicken chap. Every dish was perfect as usual. Service is quick. Courteous stuffs.

A few days back I was at Aminia Restaurant , Golpark and tried their some authentic dishes .<br/>In starter we took,<br/>Chicken Reshmi Kebab( This was so soft and succulent )<br/>Mutton seekh kebab ( This was also good)<br/>.<br/>In the main course , we took,<br/>Chicken Chap<br/>Mutton Chap<br/>Aminia special Mutton Curry (contain two pieces of mutton, one egg, one potato, and some veggies, highly demanding and won't be available after 2pm mostly)<br/>Chicken Rezala ( tastes on a slight sweeter note)<br/>Tandoori roti<br/>Mutton biryani (This is their all time speciality dish and they are keeping up their name and legacy)<br/>Chicken biryani ( This is also good )<br/>Every good deserves a great ending.<br/>So we ordered ,<br/>Gajar ka halwa ( seasonal and highly recommended ) .<br/>This is too good and best ever Gajar ka jalwa I have ever eaten.<br/>.<br/>All these dishes were lipsmacking and absolutely scrumptious in taste .<br/>I would rather say about the services provided the authorities ,<br/>They are highly professional and the most efficient one, managed everything in a very good way.

A few days back I visited Aminia,Golpark with my friends.It is just located near the Golpark crossing and is quite spacious with comfortable seating.<br/>For starters we tried Chicken Reshmi kebab and Mutton Pasinda kebeb(both tastes amazing and highly recommended),i personally loved Mutton Pasinda).<br/>For main course we took both chicken and Mutton biryani which requires no introduction,has an authentic taste and one of the best in Kolkata.Along with Biryani we had Chicken and Mutton Chap.<br/>We also shared Tandoori Roti with Aminia Special Mutton Curry(it is my favourite,such a light dish with a homely touch and highly recommend it).<br/>As it is winter,for desserts they have introduced Gajar ka Halwa (a must try,though we were full,we couldn't resist from having a full bowl each)

The legacy of Aminia has been continuing from 90 years and it has maintained its stature ever since then. This famous eatery dates back to 1921 with its first outlet in New Market, Esplanade and now present in 12 other locations in the town. Tourists often visits this place to taste their evergreen recipes especially their Chicken Chaanp and Biryani.<br/><br/>@aminiarestaurant is celebrating their glorious #90years and we had a gala time tasting their delicious delicacies.<br/>Starting with their popular ➡️Mutton Pasinda Kebab with minced meat mixed with secret spices, grilled in a seekh over tandoor leaves your taste buds awe.<br/>What not to miss here is the ➡️Aminia Spc. Curry, a 90 year old recipe comprising of whole onions, tomatoes, potatoes, eggs, carrots along with 2 pcs of soft tender mutton in a pool rich spicy red gravy.<br/>➡️The chicken and Mutton Chaap with laacha paratha is pure bliss. The former one is a mixed gravy while the latter is only red gravy.<br/>➡️ The Biryani is here kept dry yet flavourful with the quintessential aroma of spices. Not too oily and doesn't feel heavy. ➡️ Gajar ka Halwa is only available in winters and you definitely need to try this.

One of my favourite place since my childhood days, Aminia has come up with their new outlet at Golpark. This 90 years old restaurant is a hidden gem and holds a beautiful place in my heart. This restaurant is well known for their 90 years old recipe of mutton pasinda, galouti kebab and aminia special mutton curry. These are highly recommended and worth a try. Excepting these their mutton biryani and chicken chaap is my personal favourite. Do try their chicken reshmi kebab, chicken biryani, mutton chaap and chicken rezala as well. Gonna love every bit of it. We ended our meal with their season speciality gajar ka halwa which is truely a bliss. <br/>The ambience is pretty decent and the service of the staff is really nice and courteous.

Aminia is one of my favorite restaurant.<br/>But visited this golpark outlet for the first time.<br/>The ambience is very nice and it is also decorated well.<br/>The behavior of the staffs was really very courteous.<br/>We ordered<br/>Fresh lime soda (which was sweet and salty in taste and was very refreshing)<br/>Mutton biryani ( The biryani contained one piece of potato and a succulent piece of mutton, the taste was perfect and the quantity is more than enough for one people)<br/>Gajar ka halwa ( it is a seasonal dish available during the winters and it's a must try)<br/>Overall I had a great experience in this outlet.<br/>I would love to visit it again.

Good nice environment courteous service smart and good hospitality and aminia food is always one of the best specially galoti kabab. Biriyani was indeed great and the mutton soft and delicious.

A absolute favorite this 90 year old brand will always have a soft spot in my heart. Mutton Biryani , Chicken Chaap , Mutton Tikia and the Mutton Barbeque chops are always delicious and regular orders for us. Their Murgh Mussalam, Raan e Sikandari and Khada Masala ka Ghosht are excellent and I highly recommend them paired with their Tandoori Roti. Do end with the lovely Firni and head out with a smile. I love to visit in a big group so we can share all our favorites. Highly Recommended !

Took delivery of a pack of mutton biriyani last night.Pathetic mutton piece. Bad biriyani quality and aroma. Really unexpected from Aminia

Aminia is one of the oldest restaurants located in the heart of the city.<br/>🔺Ambience-The place is minimally decorated and well lit.<br/>🔺Food-We ordered<br/>Mutton Awadhi Biriyani.The quantity they serve is enough for 2 persons.The biriyani was flavourful and the mutton pieces were well cooked.<br/>The Chicken Bharta was creamy and had the perfect consistency.The garlic naan absolutely complemented with it.

What should I say more! People who lives in South Kolkata, well aware of this famous restaurant. This is one of the best restaurant in Kolkata , for non veg North Indian Mughal dishes. Taste is incomparable. If you are new in Kolkata, then you should go there or order food from there.

Yesterday I have visited there for lunch with my wife firstly we order soft drinks . They provide us with expired cold drinks ...after 2 sip she felt something is wrong with the soft drinks after further enquire by checking the bottle info we came to know that they provide us with expired soft drinks ....which my pregnent wife had it . Very poor experience will not recommend any body ...service was not good

I visited this outlet of Aminia because I just love their biriyani and they have yummilicious north Indian dishes. Recently I visited this outlet of them and I ordered Mutton Awadhi Biriyani and Fish Irani Kebabs. The kebabs were super tasty but the biriyani which I love the most had a string of hair in it. I found it while eating and I couldn't eat it more. It's really unhygienic and that's why I couldn't give them more than 2. I thought of giving them 1 but as the kebabs were tasty and as the staffs were so polite and kind so I gave them 2. After I told them they offered me a new plate of biriyani and also a free firni. I didn't take that. Once you see that unhygienic thing it just sticks to your mind. I really appreciate their gesture but I am sorry as hygiene matters most to me and should be there in all the restaurants.<br/>The price is very much reasonable and their quality and quantity both are really good and plentiful. The ambiance and the decoration go perfect with the foods and is much spacious.

Aminia is quite an old restaurant of the location near the new market, kolkata. It is a good place to have kebabs and mughlai food. The price is reasonable and the waiting time is around 10 mins on an average. It has a take away counter too.

Situated at the golpark crossing.. Nice ambience, courteous staff.. Now come to the main part food.. I ordered special mutton briyani. It was so delicious and portion of the briyani was sufficient to fulfill appetite of two people. Mutton was well cooked. Taste was awesome. I am looking forward to go this food giant again soon

I would like to start by clearly pointing out the difference between this particular outlet and any other outlet of Aminia. In my case Aminia is a name very closely associated to me since childhood. The number of visits to Aminia (Tollygunge and Esplanade outlet) for me is more than 1000. But this outlet changed my entire mindset towards the brand. It's like a different world which I was not aware of. It's like comparison between suburbs local and AC Metro. The difference was massive.<br/>Now coming to the Golpark experience, in one word it was awesome. The staff were very much welcoming and polite. Headed to this most famous restaurant during puja time so it was little crowded but that was completely legit . We ordered<br/><br/>1. Butter nun<br/>2. Chicken tengri kebab (1/2)<br/>3. Chicken reshmi butter masalah<br/><br/>It was enough for two person.. quantity was apt. Food quality was very good specially the gravy of butter masalah was just awesome.. but the nun was not that good.. we ate immediately after the food arrived but that too the nun became rubbery !<br/><br/>Food- 4/5<br/>Ambience- 3.5/5<br/>Staff behavior-5/5

This is well known place for having some tasty biriyani. It's easy to locate near golpark. We ordered chicken biriyani, chicken tikka butter masala and firni. The stuffs are very attentive. A must visit place!
