Review Bhojohori Manna - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Malabika Mahajan
Small place but loved the food. Fresh and typical Bengali taste that I crave for

What can you say about this place serving Bengali cuisine. The taste of all the items we ordered were just yum. Plain Steam white rice with Dal/ Fish Paturi/ Luchi/ veg sabzi/ chicken curry / fish Kalia. Out of this world . This place is small but food is very good . We are frequent at this place since it’s situated at a very good location. The parking is good . The Staff are prompt . And any requests is taken care of by them immediately. Happy Eating here always. Keep up the good work.

Resturant is very small. I tried sandesh (sweet) whis is not good. Not selling fresh sweets. It has bad smell . Others food was good. I tried topse fries, vetki cutlet, katla macher kaliya, sukto, alu vaja, posto Bora, misti doi, nolenl gurer ice cream etc. Price is too much high . According to my experience it is one time visit restaurant . My recommendation is vetki cutlet, topse fries, nolen gurer ice cream .
Debayan Datta
Food is good, but on the sweeter side. Cozy ambience. Price is on the higher side.

This place never disappoints us. Great food. Sometimes during rush hours, there’s a wait time. Otherwise, it’s all great. It’s one of our usual eating joint, where we divulge in the most palatable Bengali cuisines.

Amazing food..highly recommended place to eat authentic bengali cuisine 😋😋

Simple good food !! I come here regularly to get my taste buds on a party !! I have tried the dals ...my favorite is the chana dal with narkol . The vegetables are all godly in taste.

Great experience of a Bengali thali here. The staff are polite and help you with the menu and recommend the best things to order. The space is a bit cramped though, especially if you are a large group. However, the food makes up for any shortcomings with the seating. Looking forward to coming back here on our next visit.

Had a mesmerizing experience for trying something new specially in Bengali foods, one will get a good tasty traditional bengali foods but food quantities are little bit downhearted!

The Food was really nice 👍🏻❤️✨

Probably the best Bengal cuisine in moderate price range. Fish items are tasty. They have card payment option and UPI
Kripamoy Nath
Good menu for the taste buds of Bengali peoples. Need to improve the quality of food in terms of freshness. So please confirm before consuming.

On a short visit to Kolkata, around the airport, asked around for authentic Bangla food, and God bless the person who suggested this. Yummm snacks and food. Don't be fooled by the size of the space. Going back there again, if I get a chance. Seen in the pictures are devil's egg, chicken kosha. Loved the mutton dakbangla, rice, dal, and the complimentary potato fry!

No one could not mixed with Bhojohori Ranna. Prices is too high but food quality not upto the mark. Atmosphere is poor in saltlake branch

It's basically a Bengali restaurant which serves authentic Bengali home style dishes. One of my favorite place in kolkata for dining.. Absolutely love everything in the menu and even the service out there is quite good! Well behaved staff and great environment with the aroma of great food. Hygiene is well Maintained! Properly sanitized. Specially in these times when it's an absolute necessary. recommended! A highly recommended place to visit with friends and family, and even alone(if we are really hungry and looking for good and affordable place to eat). Do try Nolen gur ice-cream if you visit this place! You won't regret.

Good option for authentic bengali cuisine lovers. Ambience was okay.<br/>Only issue i had that they add sugar to every dish including mutton of which am not a fan of.

To have an authentic Bengali meal this is the pocket friendly place to visit. If you are a vegetarian. It will be a bit difficult to adjust with the constant smell of fish. I ordered veg Thali which included rasmalai and mishi doi as well which were super yum.
Naphi Wankhar
I had placed an order from this particular outlet through the Zomato app and while orders were accepted, and after an online payment was made, the restaurant did not confirm my order as there was no tie up between Zomato and the restaurant (which I learnt from the manager whom I had called). After much chaos and confusion, I chose to order directly through the restaurant and had the food delivered. But the problem here was that, if there was no linkage between the two, the Zomato app should not have taken orders online and could have avoided causing inconvenience to customers. I was also informed by the manager that this was a recurring issue. Nonetheless, the quality of food was superior and highly flavourful although the restaurant could perhaps work on the quantity they serve. As a fan of authentic Bengali cuisine, I will definitely order from here again (i.e.,directly through the restaurant)<br/>🙂🙂🙂

This branch is located in globsyn building. We ordered bhetki paturi, Bangali polao and mutton dakbunglow. As we were in hurry we requested them to serve asap and they served within 5 mins. Food was delicious.
Sneha Dutta
Worst food... The mutton was not even cooked properly it was raw other dishes were also average.. Totally waste of money
Mrinal Chakroborty
Excellent service, great quality food, authentic taste - over all a great experience to carry forward
Senjuti Rakshit
The sitting are is quite large. The veg thali we ordered has the veg malai kofta which tasted very poor. The doi potol is nice. The chanar dalna and cholar dal is nice. The vetki er Kalia and chingri er malaikari is not upto the mark. The mutton kassa is standard. The rabri is nice.
Souvik Paul
Most of the times we visited this place while having office lunch party. Been there 4-5 times, and my experience was quite good I must say. Almost every time we ordered thali. The food presentation was just fabulous as shown in the picture, the taste of fish cutlet was just so awesome with sauce and kasundi. Coming to the thali, kachuri was quite good. Then every other items were really tasteful, specially the paneer and mutton /chicken kosha. But I really think they should increase the quantity of rice, chicken. After that, Chatni, sweet curd and sweets was enough to finish it off. Some people might find the food items lil expensive. But that totally depends on your budget. Overall I really had a great time. If you are expecting to have top quality bengali food items, this can be your destination.

This place serves authentic Bengali food and fish in so many varieties that if you are non Bengali and love fish, you must not miss any of the dishes here. I visited recently when I was in Kolkata and enjoyed every dish thoroughly. Small portions, price justified and enables you to try many things from the range of  menu. Gur icecream was relishing to end the meal.
Miraj Midda
Well If I talk about the food is good but not as per the expectation. If I compare with the price portion are too small however we have enjoyed. Apart from food service is good staff are very polite and approachable.. Recommend to visit 😄

If you are looking for bengali dishes this one might solve your problem. The dal and kosha mangsho was best amongst all. The only thing that puts it down is the service.
SOUMI DAS
If you want to taste authentic Bengali cuisine in a restaurant you have to visit Bhojohori Manna. Went for a hearty lunch with family. Ordered Bhaat, Dal, Jhuro Aloo Bhaja, Chittol Macher Muitha, Chicken Dakbunglow, Mutton Kosha, Misti Doi, Rosogolla and Nolen Gurer Ice Cream. The food was delectable and the Nolen Gurer Ice Cream deserves a standing ovation. The price is a bit high compared to the quality served per plate but the quality made up for it.

Me and my boyfriend went there around 5 pm last weekend. We're so so hungry that we literally ordered everything that seemed interesting. The ambiance was calm and welcoming. We ordered:<br/><br/>💠 Corn cheese roll - it was stuffed with mashed potato with cheese little bits of corn.<br/><br/>💠 Veg Pulao - Rice well cooked with spices and fresh vegetables.<br/><br/>💠 Mochar Ghonto - It was little sweet as made in most of the Bengali kitchens.<br/><br/>💠 Bhetki Paturi - I liked the presentation 😋, it was seasoned with sorshe bata and lebu which is every bengali's favourite.<br/><br/>💠 Chitol Muitha/Chitol Machher Kofta Curry - It was basically koftas made up Chitol Machh prepared in a gravy. The koftas tasted like soyabean which was unappealing.<br/><br/>💠 Chicken Dakbangla - Gravied Chicken dish with egg, nothing special, it is chicken that we cook at home.<br/><br/>💠 Rabri - It was so sweet that we couldn't finish it😔.

As its said if u wanna spend on food why not go for d best, ans.is definitely u bhojohori manna,mi8 be a bit overpriced depending on the quantity but tastewise u won't regret, great place for a pet pujo, d mutton dakbanglo, alu bhaja, daal, chingrir malaikari alongwith steamed rice gonna cherish in ur memories forever, definitely recommend to all for a try, ambience is great as well as behaviour of the staff, defnitely give it a try .........🙂🙂
Kaustav Bhattacharjee
This is the go to restaurant for Bengali cuisine. It remains quite busy in weekday lunch, hence it is recommended to visit earlier than normal lunch hours.<br/>For non-vegetarian people, Mutton Dakbungalow is a must try. We had Mutton Dakbungalow along with Luchi and Pulao. The quantity was quite modest and we ate to our fill.<br/><br/>For people consuming vegetarian food only, kofta is the must try dish. Paneer dishes are also quite good here.<br/><br/>I would recommend anyone looking to taste some authentic Bengali cuisine to try this place at once. And don't forget to taste the Fish Fry along with Kasundi (local yellow sauce).
Sohini Samanta (posto.food)
Once upon a time there was a brand name called bhojohori manna.. some how the name is not at that place as it was.. quality of the food has been degraded lil bit.. ambience of this at globsyn was nice and as the behavior of staffs also.. overall average experience
Ankita Jena
Good family restaurant for authentic Bengali maach dishes ...Relish them with joy....But quantity is too less...Must try BHETKI PATURI and MUTTON DAKBUNGLOW
Das Ssanjibanii
Bhojohori manna never disappointed me. Serves you good food. It's a bit expensive but once you will have your food it seems like it is worth every penny. It's hard to get a table during occassion's.<br/>Famous and tasty dishes-mutton Dak bungalow, chicken Dak bungalow, basanti polao, nolen gurer ice cream,ilish.<br/>Go give it a try guys.
Rituparna
It was a good restaurant among Bengali restaurants. I have visited Gariahat’s bhojohori manna too. But we often visited the bhojohori manna of saltlake, the quality as well as quantity of food has degraded. Once it was one of the favourites but now a days it became average.
Pabitra Karmakar
Very good bengali foods were served. Price is bit high respective of item. Prefer thali with mutton duckbunglow. Kochupata bata chingri was a total loss, just 5 pcs very small chabra chingri served.
Debojit Changmai
The Bhetki Paturi was delicious but was overpriced. When I orderedThe Alu Bhaja I thought I would be getting a small serving of potato fried sabji, but got a small bowl of potato sliced chips instead. Moreover, the quantity of rice in the bowl compared to the price was atrocious. However, the food tasted good, but have tasted better. Not sure about a revisit.
Prayas Chatterjee
It was Bengali's new year and me and my friend decided to try out some bengali dishes after our office hours. So we went to Bhojohori Manna but they had only Thali option for the day. We're disappointed with this, however we still decided to give it a shot.<br/><br/>The Thali had Rice, Pulao, Kosha Shukto, Macher Mathar Dal, Sorshe Ilish, Chingri mach, Kasha Mangsho, Chatni Papad, Gulab Jamun & Mishti Doi. The Polao was truly amazing and so was Kasha Mangsho, Chingri and Ilish.<br/><br/>After we had everything, I must say I was very happy with the thali. And absolutely loved it. Planning to visit them again sometime soon.
Pritish Roy Chowdhury
For once this name was an absolute favourite among people to have Bengali cuisine. Gone are those golden days and gone is its reputation. Pretty decent dishes though but nothing extraordinary as such. Simple decent seating arrangements and courteous staff. Being a old place the service you get is from experienced people but sadly even their signature dishes doesnt seem to impress much. I tried dab chingri, pathuri doi katla and mutton dakbanglo.
Priyangbada Sarkar
They have charged extra tip charge during bill payment though service charge is already included as GST in the bill and this kind of charging is totally illigal. I don't see any kind of extra charges are levied from any other restaurants in Kolkata.
Chandrima Ganguly
Went their for a spread of bengali meal<br/>The experience was so so...it was extremely crowded as it was tge time of puja<br/>The rice sukto macher kalia aluvaja n sabji was on point but i did not like the paturi they served it was not upto the mark and rather awful to taste

All the Bengalis out there.... Wanted to re discover your food heritage. Do visit this place !!!!! Wide variety of authentic Bengali food is there in their menu. I have tried Nalin gud ice cream, machher chop and bhetki rongpuri fry, bhetki machher Khali and echhod moong dal.<br/>Ufffff !!!! a treat to my taste buds.<br/>A very special mention about * Nalin gud ice Cream*<br/>It's a mussssssst try, ( please understand the effort of using so much 'S' 😋)<br/>Ambience - on point<br/>Food - 😍😍😍😍😍/5<br/>Value of money - on point<br/>If you are non - Bengali and willingly to try Bengali food, then this place is for you<br/>And if you are a bong, what are you waiting for "Christmas". ( Too cheesy)<br/>😉😉😉😉

Awesome food and great quality. It's a must try place if you're a big foodie and love Bengali dishes. Do not forget to try their Serbets also. From starters to main courses to deserts, every dish has it's own specialty.
Anwesha Halder
It was on the day of poila boishak. We went to @bhojohori_manna to have some authentic Bengali food and feel more "bong" 😋<br/><br/>On that day they only had two options.<br/>Veg thali and no veg thali.<br/>So we opt for the non veg thali.<br/>The price of non veg thali was RS 925 inclusive of all tax<br/><br/>It was served in thermocol plates which I hated. I felt it was a bit cheap practice and didn't acceptable for a restaurant or brand like bhojo Hari.<br/><br/>Anyways now coming to the dishes. We got ↪️ Aam pora sorbot<br/>↪️ Rice<br/>↪️ Basanti pulao<br/>↪️ Sukto<br/>↪️ Macher matha diye dal<br/>↪️ Chingri macher Malai curry<br/>↪️ Mutton kosha<br/>↪️ Ilish mach bhapa<br/>↪️ Chatni ↪️ Papad<br/>↪️ Doi ↪️ Misti<br/>↪️ Paaan<br/><br/>The food quality was awesome. Quantity was ok too. They didn't compromise with the taste which was a good thing.<br/><br/>All over a good experience.<br/><br/>Taste of the food: 4/5<br/>Over all : 3/5 (only because of thermocol plates and bowls which is not so professional i feel)<br/>
Ayan Bhattacharya
Probably the biggest outlet that I have visited yet from the chain. The food as usual is quite soothing and is in the comfort region for all the Bongs. A great place to have Bengali food during sudden cravings for reasonable prices.<br/>The daab chingri, prawn malaikari, mutton dakbunglow and nolen gurer ice cream are some of the all time classics here. Also the chanar dalna is a must try.
Ananya
We (me and my colleagues) went for a nice lunch on Poila Bosakh and indeed it was very nice.. there was only 2 options for lunch on that day..<br/>A non-veg thali (INR. 925- including GST) and veg thali was  (INR. 565- including GST).<br/><br/>We opted for non-veg thali:<br/><br/>Aam porar shorbot <br/>Plain Rice<br/>Shukto<br/>Machher matha diye moong dal<br/>Chingri malaikari<br/>Shorshe Ilish<br/>Misti polao<br/>Mutton Kosha<br/>Mango chutney<br/>Pantua<br/>Mishti Doi<br/>Paan<br/><br/>Each and every dish was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed a sumptuous lunch.<br/>Willing to visit again for yet another lovely experience.

Food - 3/5<br/>Staff Behaviour - 3.5/5<br/>Service - 5/5<br/>Value for money - 2.5/5<br/>Ambience - 3.5/5<br/>Overall - 3/5<br/><br/>Bhojohori Manna has lost all it's glitz and glamour and now it is puddling through the restaurant business with the fame of it's past.<br/><br/>The crowd was light for a weekday lunch. The place is simply decorated with lot's of pictures of Bangaliaana and important events of Kolkata's past.<br/><br/>The service was pretty fast. The food was decent but most items on the menu were not present, so we had to make do with what they had.<br/><br/>It wàs decent. Nothing extraordinary. I would not reccomend as there are many other restaurants offering much better bengali cuisine.
Rima Dey
Food is average. I ordered lote macher bhorta and the fish was smelly and seemed rotten. When we informed them, they acknowledged it. Very disappointing. The rest of the items we ordered were average in taste. Very disappointing.
Ananya Mondal
This restaurant used to be one of my favourite of all times but slowly as its competitors increased, it didn't took any initiative to top it. Still my visit to this restora never missed the dab chingri and the mutton dakbunglow. Bhapa ilish and chitol er moitha also took places in the list.
Supriyo Naskar
It’s have a menu full of foods but they hardly supplies those. They have few items ready to serve. I was disappointed to see such a reputed restaurant in such a situation.
Udit Chetia
I had a mixed experience. I went at night and had maxi thali, prawn and mutton. I would definitely recommend the mutton and maxi thali. The prawn was not up to the mark.
Aniruddha De
After a tiring day at office this is a place at globsyn building sector 5 which can give you relaxed bong feeling... Try any of there fish items with confidence...the bengali thalis r wonderful... To be combined with alacarte main dishes... ofcourse its a know place. Yess ofcourse sometimes you will feel cost on the higher side, also there are better places in the city for bong food but you cannot avoid this even. Suggest one visit is a must..

Bhojohori manna kaan molchhi aar naa! This outlet should change its name to 'Thugs of Hindostan'. Ordered 1 piece bhetki paturi for Rs 122 tonight, as I got 50% swiggy big hunger festival discount. What I received is an ultrasmall square piece of 40-50gm, exactly half of what is shown on photo shared by users who dined out here. As for the taste, it was okay, I have had much softer and larger bhetki paturis in several wedding ceremonies. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here. Nothing irks me more than such unethical business practices.
Srijani Banerjee
The food was okay. Ambience was good but the staffs were not much responsive . We ordered pulao, fish paturi, aam pora shorbot. The drink was the best one I had over here.
Sudeshna Sarkar
My boyfriend and I had an awesome gastronomic experience at this place last saturday....We ordered bhetki rongpuri fry,Bangali polao, chicken dakbunglow and daab chingri...The polao was simple with lots of fresh peas and a subtle smell of ghee and went really well with chicken dakbunglow which was though on a sweeter side..The king size jumbo prawn was such a delight with a gravy(of soup like consistency) which could have been a bit richer though....The rongpuri fry was clearly the winner😍the taste was to die for and tasted like heaven when dipped in tomato ketchup........ Overall a sweet experience and we recommend this place especially for those who love authentic Bengali food
Kallol
Ordered quite a few items from this eatery which has a large presence in Kolkata.<br/>All items were good. Tried the phoolkopi, chicken kasha, dal, sukto & katla kalia.<br/>The fish pieces were large. All items tasted great. Also the chanar dalna from this place is lovely.<br/>Definitely some great bengali food is available here.
Rahul Acharya
The 1st place where I tried Bengali food. Loved the taste n the preparations. Service is quick and the place is recommended for a budget-friendly full meal. It offers a big menu, although few items do run out of stock by the end of the day.
TaNima GiRi
Visited here today (7th Dec 2018 ) for lunch. We ordered jumbo ilish special, plain rice, bhetki rongpuri fry, mutton dak bungalow, pulao, am doi and nolen gurer ice cream. Awesome quality of food. Tasty ilish jumbo size. Loved it. Spacious interior. Nice ambience!
Poulami Roy
Had a small visit to this place yesterday and after visiting this place quite shocked with their Zomato ratings..I seriously don't know why it is just 3.8.<br/><br/>People who are fond of bengali foods and or if you are looking for some authentic bengali foods on a special occasion you must visit this place at least once.<br/><br/>Went there other branches before and if compared to others this one is much more spacious and decorated well.We took maxi thali..found is enough for 2..apart from that we took Chicken dakbunglow with egg and it was simply wow..Bagda chingri malaikari..that was again too good. But could not try more menu as we were only two. Also could not try daab chingri as only jumbo was there.<br/><br/>In short, had a very good lunch at Bhojohori Manna within a very good budget.
Subhadeep Sarkar
My first time at this outlet. The food was okay. However, a very selective list of items were available. Nothing apart from soft drinks were available. Do not expect super-nice staff-behavior. The ambience was nice.
Suchandra Ghosh
Last Saturday visited this place for Lunch with my Friends. Food was very tasty but there have limited menu. We ordered Veg Mini Thali with Bagda Chingri Malaikari, Mutton Dakbangla, Chittol Mach er Muitha, Kochu lati chingri.
Mita Basu
Went for lunch. Place was empty. We were the only customer. Staffs are decent and quite helpful.<br/>Now coming to food, food is good. You will feel like home made food. But Mutton was undercooked... Otherwise my overall experience is quite good...
Pratyusha Mandal
I went to this place yesterday.<br/>Worst experience ever.<br/>Most of the items mentioned in the menu card are not served by them.<br/>This will actually piss anybody off.<br/><br/>Out of the remaining food<br/>I ordered<br/>Mutton Duk Banglow-5/5<br/>Pabda shorse - 4/5<br/>Dhokar Dana -5/5<br/>Ambience- 3/5<br/><br/>I expected more of the fish items which to my surprise was absent or which they phrased as "cannot be served now".
Indranil Mukherjee
Very complicated experience. Almost all the dishes were without any doubt tremendously good. But there is a serious issue regarding the pricing. Also, quantity of few items like Dal, Aloo bhaja, etc are too less.<br/>Seeing the positive side, Dakbunglow (Chicken & Mutton) dishes are mouth watering, Paturi is exceptionally good. Overall experience is nice.
Sia
Was very excited to order from here as heard that their Bengali food is one of the best. I ordered jhinga aalo posto, shukto and dhokar dalna along with dal and chutney. The quantity I received was hardly sufficient for 2. And it tasted ordinary. There was about 1cm oil layer on top of each Curry. They completely ruined my Bhai phota.
Sarmistha Sarkar
Last week visit this place for Lunch. Orderd plain rice full 2 plate,Dal of the day, Chetol muittha,Kosha mangso (mutton dish). Also ordered Dab Chingri large but only dab Chingri jumbo was available,so cancel that because don't prefer to have too large prawn.<br/>Ambience is quite okay. Served the order within 10mins. Now coming to taste part, Dal was normal in taste and quantity is fine. Chetol muittha was awesome tasty, best dish. Mutton Kosha Mangso was just totally waste of money, didn't get any spice taste, salt was not proper and dish was little sweet.so for 2small piece mutton this type dish at 180 INR is total waste. Rice quantity also not good. <br/>Total cost around 650 INR.<br/><br/>Ambience: 3/5<br/>Food: 3/5<br/>Service: 3/5

Hello foodies,<br/>Just a quick brief review about the restaurant "Bhojohari manna" i went yesterday. The menu has so many bengali dishes to try. I ordered jumbo bhetki paturi, chicken dakbangla, kosha murgir maansgho and bangali pulao. The food was typically desi types and tasted awesome. The ambience was also great and the prices were also reasonable. One should definitely try the bengali cuisines here.<br/>Good for bengali cuisine seekers and fish lovers <br/>Thank you for the service ❤️👍

Went to Bhojahari Manna. Going there we ordered after lot of discussion- Thumps up, Chicken Rangpuri Fry, Foul Cutlet, Polao and Mutton Dak bunglow .Mutton Dak bunglow and Chicken Rangpuri Fry were their signature dish but for Polao - i was expecting Basanti Polao but we  were given khuska Polao(white in color and not yellow one). Foul cutlet was not  their signature dish so taste was not upto the mark.<br/>We ordered in end Nolen Gurer ice cream in the dessert.

If you want to have authentic Bengali food ,this is the place you can trust on...most of items are good.. specially I recommend the khejur amsotto chatni..

Bhojohori Manna has always been a favourite restro for not only Bengalis but also people around the globe who love bengal , its people , its culture and definitely its cuisines. <br/>Bhojohori Manna recreates the essence and authenticity of bengali dishes. Aha! Oshadharon❤️
Abinash Prusty
I used to like the place but went there during the Durga Puja with family. They had only the Thalis for the festival and no other food from the menu. The food was served cold, not tasty at all and the Thali costed 850 rupees excluding GST. <br/>I regret going there and could have a very good meal at any other good restaurant for less than that price per head.<br/><br/>Taking advantage of customers during the Puja, looting them with very very poor value for money food and service.
Rajalaxmi Priyadarshini
The food was horrible. They served everything cold. The taste was really pathetic. We had to leave almost everything we ordered. Not at all a good place to have Bengali cuisine. I had high hopes but alas the money didn't worth it at all. A big no to this place.
Anirban Das
Worst Bhojohori Manna outlet. Worst food quality. I visited this outlet during durga puja and it was a total disappointment. I have never expected such a worst food quality from a reputed restaurant like Bhojohori Manna. The only thing which is good in this outlet is the behavior of the staffs.
Surjyo
Went with family on Saptami i.e 16 th Sept. They only had Thali. Where in BBQ Nation you get unlimited choice for 900, the limited thali here was costing 850 + tax. Service was pathetic. Bill was presented even before water bowl for cleaning your fingers was given. Experienced something like this for the first time ever. The food tasted fine was the only saving grace.
PRASUN DAS
Very good for bengali food. Specially Chingri, Ilish & Mutton items. Also excellent desserts item like Aam doi & Natun gurer ice cream. Only drawback is if you reach late there, you may not avail all the menu items.
Sunny Sharma
Had my first run in with authentic Bengali cuisine when I visited this place in April 2018. Paturi was very soft and light on the palette. Their mutton curry is amazing. Luchis were nice too.

Situated in Globsyn Building, Beside KFC , Webel More.<br/>Typical Authentic Bengali Dishes.<br/>Price quite high with respect to quantity and quality.<br/>I loved Prawn Malai Curry, Pabda, Nolen Gurer Ice Cream (Must Try).<br/>Service is Ok.<br/>Ambience is ok.<br/>

Bhojohori manna has always been a renowned name to all the bengalis. But unfortunately I experienced the place few days back when I planned for a lunch with my colleagues.<br/>It is located in Globsyn Crystal building in sector 5. Easy to locate.<br/>We ordered for mini thali. Which includes :<br/>Luchi ,Alur dom, dal , jhurjhure alu vaja, polao/rice, a veg item, mishti doi, chatni (a thali is enough for two). The thali was good indeed. With soft kichu in a bucket.<br/>Beside we ordered chicken dakbunglow and bhetki finger. The finger was too good.it comes with 4 pieces per plate. These were crispy and fresh.<br/>Food was good. We were satisfied. Staffs are also nice.
Debali Mukherjee
Went here for lunch.Staff was courteous. Ambience was okay.<br/>Ordered rice, luchi, chicken cutlet, fish, pepsi, etc.Food was good.Quantity was okay.Overall an okay experience.
Ankita Bhowmick
This is a decent place to have Bengali cuisine in reasonable price. Though I would say there is scope for improvement, infrastructure needs maintenance, I found chairs to be not clean enough to sit. Please work upon your infrastructure and the food tasted good but nothing extraordinary.
Agnivo Biswas
Visited thrice so far. Food has been upto the mark and phenomenal. Chicken Duck Bungalow and Nolen Gurer Ice-cream are my favourites. A bit overpriced. But still a good place to visit with your friends or family.
Victor Ch
Their maxi thali is all what a foodie need from a Bengali restaurant. <br/>AMBIANCE- Its very good. It plays decent background music. Rabindra sangeet while I was dining. <br/>FOOD QUALITY - I would say, is this price, the best quality food. <br/>SERVICE - Good. Because they serve thali items in bowls so you can share it easily

We had an Office party at this joint yesterday. It was a pre-ordered menu including a veg thali along with Fish Fry and Mutton for a group of 30+ people.<br/>The food was excellent -   the luchis in most Bengali restaurants tend to be not the right type, they were perfect here, that too, being served hot to a large group apart from regular other people having lunch as well. The fish fry was very good. The other item to specially mention among a long list was  staring with Amporar Sarbat which was an excellent appetizer.<br/><br/>One thing which can be improved about the place is the addition of at least one more wash basin as for such a large place, one is a bit insufficient.

Though ate food a lot in this restaurant before. But today visited it's this outlet!<br/>And one word my mouth uttered once I entered in this outlet is 'awstruck', foods here they are❤ no need to mention that separately here had #Rice #Shukto #Dal #AlooBhaja #GoldaChingri #SorsheIlish #AamErChatni and #MishtiDoi as well as the emotion connected with bengali cuisine is uplifted as a Bangali😋.<br/>Well have to say that the staffs here are polite, mannerful and great service oriented. Another thing I must say that all photos being posted in this review were all taken by the staffs! Good clicks📸📲 guys👍<br/>Ambience with interior decorations is superb👌<br/>That's all for it & Keep going up the Bangaliana of your's like this 😉✌

The food had great bengali taste. <br/>We ordered Dhokar dalna, dimer devil, posto bora, chingri machel jhol, katla curry and paneer curry. Everything tasted great with the perfect bong sunday afternoon ambience. The only complaint i had was the quantity was very less according to the price. Atleast the quantity of the steamed rice should be increased.

Really horrible experience..ordered chitol macher muitha..dey made chicken sausage curry..it's very shameful how they are fooling customers. This is something I never expected from them..

If you're hardcore fan of authentic bengali food then this place is for you. Clean n nice ambience friendly stuffs. Had chanar dalna, mutton dak bunglow and plain rice.<br/>1. Plain rice - 75/- full plate, I feel it's a bit over priced. They serves fine basmati rice<br/>2. Chanar dalna - 85/- two piece of soft a bit sweet balls made of chana with cashew nut gravy.. This one was too tasty<br/>3. Mutton dak bunglow - 230/- two solid poece of mutton and an egg. The gravy was good too.<br/><br/>Overall a good experience. Recommend

The taste of the food items is beyond just good. It was so yummy and delicious... Every food item was good. We ordered am pora sorbot, veg thali, jumbo prawn malaikari, chicken dakbanglow and notun gur er ice cream. All were soooo good. But yeah, for thali items, the amount is not worth tummy filling for one.

This place serves food with great taste. If you are in search of tastiest bengali food, then this is the place for you. Prices are also reasonable. And both ambience and service are of top class. However it would be better if the amount of food is increased. Otherwise all good!<br/>

we ordered plain rice, basanti polao, fish fry, kacha muger daal, dhokar dalna, sukto, jumbo ilish, nolen gurer ice cream.<br/>i have had food here for around 50 times in last 5 years. But im sadly saying this time i found quality has degraded a lot as compared to previous times.<br/>next time for traditional bengali food will have to look for alternative.

I have been there for ample number of time .had almost every dishes..The best one(actualy not one, many) is ofcourse nalen gurer icecream, aam doi, basanti pulao , chital macher muithya, fish muniya..!So the dishes are good..but I didnt like the quantity..there is a mismatch between price n the quantity. And the Service..it could be much more better..the cuttlery set should be upgraded!Thats y I have deducted 1 star..please go for it..u r representing bengali cuisine around the world..u must check on that!

Bhojohori Manna is one of the most authentic Bengali restaurants in Kolkata. It serves you very decent, delicious, delectable and delightful bangaliana khabar. The price is on the heavier side tough but the taste would suffice it.

Best place if you want to savour traditional bengali food in all its glory,be sure to try the mangshor jhol it's my favourite, would have given it 5 star but the long wait time is what held me back.

Full marks for the taste...!! Deducted 1 point for the packing where oil was dripping and also because I don’t know about the ambiance (got the same delivered).<br/><br/>Being new to Kolkata I wanted to try Bengali cuisine and someone suggested this place, ordered Kosha Mangsho (Mutton delicacy) and I must say this few of the best mutton I’ve had so far in entire north India..!! Well cooked, perfectly balanced spices with a hint of sweetness in gravy.. awesome.. and kosha Mangsho goes best with Luchi (kind of pooris in Bengal).

I have been there couple of times and below is my overall experience for Gloysyn's Outlet.<br/><br/>1st Experience- I was there for one of the TTMM( Tera Tera Mera Mera Bill ) treat and one of my colleague dragged us to this place. From starter(Read Fish) to Main course (Read Mutton Dokbongala) everything was just perfect. Although I am not that fond of bengali cuisine but really liked everything there.<br/><br/>2nd Time:- This time I was there for one of the birthday treat , nothing went good this time. Staff were rude, food was not cook that good. It didn't taste good as well. I am giving 3 start just because of the outstanding first outing that I had. I am taking my second experience as one of the bad day and will give it another visit some day in future.

Had lunch here today. We were a group of 14 people. Food and Service was awesome. Very tasty actual Bengali food. No fusion . The bhetki Paturi was great. The mourola jhal was just fantastic . Mutton was soft and tasty and it tasted heavenly with gorom big luchis. Altogether it was a great experience.

Authentic Bengali food, yes you heard me right. I get the taste of my grandma's hand in this restaurant. So subtle yet very elegant. Do try out the mishti pulao with chicken dakbanglow. It's the best combination of spicy and Sweet. And nolen gurer ice cream is one of the best delicacies I had there.

One of the best place for Bengali thali <br/>Ordered for mini Thala which included luchi chola dal alu dom and misthi dahi it’s a must try for everyone <br/>Most of the veg people avoid going to bhojohori manna cause they think that it only serves Bengali food but I would recommend it to every vegetarian as they should try authentic Bengali veg food from here <br/>Awesome place great service and ambience
