Good place with great food and ambience!! We would surely recommend their original jalapeños nachos and italian sizzler with pasta (must try)!!! Do try their garlic bread and virgin mojitos!! Overall good for small bites !! Just one odd thing which was “No Washroom” not even for washing hands!

Only Veg place, but still me and my family members are the regulars here which itself shows how wonderful this place must be 😁 It's newly done pastel and chic interior oozes out class and so does the food. Be it sizzlers or their signature dish The Garlic Bread....only con is that they don't serve any hot beverages as without a hot cup of coffee it's difficult for me to enjoy my food but I still love coming back here. Expensive place but worth it.

Loved the Italian food here.. Family garlic bread and pasta are too ooo good.. Must have it.. Although I am not a huge fan of pastas but I genuinely loved it here. I also had cheese fondue, aglio oglio and risotto but nothing can beat pasta and garlic bread here.. A word of advise don't ever order sizzlers.. It just tooooooo bad..

A decent vegetarian place to have food with your friends and family. The food is really light and well balanced. I really enjoyed the variety in the menu. From middle Eastern to Italian to Asian, it's all there. We had ordered 4 main dishes. Namely, Pita falafel Sandwich, Mexican sizzler, pad Thai noodles with Thai curry and Spaghetti Aglio olio. All of them were spot on with their flavours. Really enjoyed them. For dessert we ordered the sizzling hot chocolate brownie, which had the usual taste. As we went on a Sunday night, the place was packed and we had to wait for 30 mins to get our seats. And yes, the place is really small. Probably can just fit 50-60 people at a time. Decor is okayish, nothing fancy. Do try it once, atleast. You'll definitely enjoy the food.

It's a vegetarian restaurant which serves Italian and Mexican food. Price of food items are on higher side but quality of food is good and tasty. Tried Garlic Bread, Italian Sizzler and Virgin Mojito and liked all of them.

Location - Very good. Behind the Pantaloons at Camac Street. Food - Family garlic bread is a must for a cheese lover. Its so buttery and cheesy. Nachos were not so good. Those were in-house baked. Price - Bit expensive. Service - Good. Q & Q - Quantity and quality of the food was good. They don't have a restroom.

A good outlet which has really tasty food .They have good options for vegetarians also .Keep adding more dishes .Do maintain speed .Another visit @the resto which serves veg food and some are Jain dishes which means no onion nd no garlic .Keep this restaurant in your list Jains .The drinks are normal .Food is expensive .It is crowded even on weekdays .You may have to wait for 30 mins .

One of the best place to have Italian. The best part of this place is its absolutely Vegetarian. The service is quick. Food is really good. You can hog onto supreme nachos, family garlic bread , mushroom soup, Mexican sizzler, Mexican rice with spicy cury, and many more. Whatever you choose will most probably turn out good, it's very rare when you wouldn't like anything here.

I family garlic bread is filled with mozrala cheese . And the cheese fondu is also awesome and the Mexican sizzler is the best sizzler found in Kolkata.

Having heard great things about this legendary place it is a must-visit when in Kolkatta, Jalapenos has lived up to its reputation.

The food an absolutely disaster and packaging was a disaster. We had ordered khao suey and would never suggest anyone to order this and looking at the packing, it’s best to avoid their food for delivery.

It’s a nice restaurant with various varieties of dishes or food items. The place is located in camac street. The staff out there is friendly and courteous and friendly as well. They also help with the choice of dishes, they also suggest their best items so that we could could try. A happening place.

The garlic bread was stale and not upto even street food standards. Had to throw away the entire chunk of it. Kindly return the amount charged. And try to maintain at least minimum standards for quality food production and delivery.

The portions of lasagne and canneloni was little compared to the price they charge.

Called the restaurant twice to check whether they would be open today 21-Jun-20 (for Father's Day). They said that they would be open. But when I tried to order, they said they are closed due to the eclipse.

This place is paradise for cheese lover. Ambience is normal and space is less but still if you are craving for some good food with cheese. You must visit this once.

The person sitting at the cash counter does not know how to speak. Having been a regular and loyal customer for over 10 years at the restaurant, the least a person would expect is ill treatment from the staff at the restaurant. The waiters at the restaurant are good but the person attending the cash counter is a disgrace to the entire service industry. Being a loyal customer for over ten years, I would like to put it across to the top management of this restaurant that they have lost more than just a single customer due to the ill treatment from the cash counter attendant.

A very nice and cosy place tucked under a residential building in the Camac Street area.<br/><br/>Ambience: Simple and sleek. Comfortable seating and pleasant colours.<br/><br/>Food Ordered: Jacket potatoes, Mexican rice with mushroom gravy and the Italian sizzler.<br/><br/>Taste: Mexican rice was the standout. Beautifully seasoned rice that can be eaten on its own. The jacket potatoes come a close second, served with a generous filling of cheese. Absolutely lip-smacking!<br/><br/>Portion size: Very good. Italian sizzler can be sufficient for two, even three people!<br/><br/>Suggestion: The Italian sizzler could be better, as in the cutlets could be made the hero of the dish with pasta/rice as the side.<br/><br/>All in all, a must-try for all who are looking for Italo-Mexican options in vegetarian dishes!

Visited this place on 13/10/2019 (today) around 7.45 p.m, was asked to wait for 15 minutes as the restaurant was full, when we were finally called and seated, we ordered 2 items as starters, after finishing the same, I asked their staff (one with glasses) for the menu card to order main course but for some reason he forgot to come back to our table, took an order from probably a regular visitors (bigger group as we were only 2) sitting beside us but couldn't give us the menu card; another family came in and they were seated and menu cards were given to them, all this was a duration of approximately 10 minutes during which i asked for the menu card 3 times, at the end instead of giving us the menu card, he came with the bill, when i told him that i had asked for the menu card and not the bill, he said and i quote "apne 1 baar bill bola na", i felt insulted and told him, since you have got the bill, i won't order anymore and to my utter surprise, he kept the bill on the table and left. We paid and walked out.<br/><br/>While the food was good, service was pathetic. Was my first visit and definitely last as well.

This is the second time I am going there but the experience is same as amazing last time. The staff is courteous. The food is just amazing and the service is very fast. The staff gave us complimentary dessert also. Overall experience is just amazing.

Ordered their most famous family garlic bread which was full of cheese the quantity was ample and was filling but it could have been better like I didn't find it that much interesting. The interior is quit simple and Minimalistic with comfortable seatings.

Jalapenos is veg lover's paradise. It has all varieties of (mostly) Italian dishes with nice non-alcoholic drinks. The ambience is nice and warm and family-friendly. It's a fairly busy crowded place on weekends but otherwise you'll find a table pretty quickly. The food is not that spicy and palatable with a huge serving, enough to fill your stomach.<br/><br/>What gave me a negative outlook was the horrible service provided to us. The waiters behaved as if they had held a grudge against us. They served food to us in a very forceful way, gave us looks of anger and took our order as if we were causing them an inconvenience. Had the service been good, I would had gladly returned to this place.<br/><br/>Final verdict: Good for the food, bad for the awful, awful service.

Have been to Jalapeños several times and it is one of my absolute favourite places in town. The ambience is really casual and chill and the service is absolutely delightful. <br/>My personal favourite dishes are the Supreme Nachos, Family Garlic Bread and Mexican Fajitas. The Supreme nachos is an evergreen favourite with all the three dips that they serve. Specially the curd dip is really refreshing and nice. <br/>The Mexican Fajitas is simply the best in town. The grilled vegetables on the sizzler plate with dips and tortillas tastes amazing. The Family Garlic Bread is a bit on the heavier side and one can’t have more than two pieces. The Skillet Potatoes with Chilli dip is super spicy and flavourful. <br/>The Jacket Potato and Stuffed Mushrooms are both served with cheese dip which is really tasty. The Stuffed Mushrooms are super crisp and taste perfect along with the dip. Intriguing as it’s name, this restaurant is one of the best food joints. We started with Nachos and ended up ordering another portion of it because it was so yummy. The place is cosy and perfect to hang out with friends or for a bite with family. Quantity is great. Do try Ravioli in Balsamic Sauces and Garlicy Mushroom with herb bread.

We visited this restaurant last week. If I talk about the food it was simply awesome. There was nothing which was good or average. In fact all the dishes were simply the best. But, the service was just the opposite. The waiter at our table dint bother to serve us even a single dish. We were 5 people and he gave us only 1 glass of water. I mean this is basics and it cannot be taught or even told for that matter. I so want to give 5start for food but the service was not worth even a single star, still giving 3 stars for the food only.

Jalapeno has been one of the finest and oldest place for Vegetarian delight.<br/>Located at wood street.<br/><br/>I went there to try their very famous Family Garlic Bread which was amazing and super cheesy in every bite.<br/><br/>During the visit I came across the soup and sizzler festival, so went on to try some among those.<br/><br/>Papaya Soup and Borscht Soup - both were equally good and the flavour was excellent.<br/><br/>I also tried the Thai Sizzler which again was very particular in taste and also great quantity.<br/>

Kolkata youth is a hard core fan of jalapenos as their taste is same forever ...<br/>I taste here was cheese garlic bread which it is famous for and actually it is ... cheese really melts me and backed jacket potatoes with salsa and cheesy dip a combination definitely made in heaven ... at last in sweets we ordered tutti fruttiii which was enduring for me especially the combo of fruits and ice...

I had ordered quite a lot of food including a Mixed Sauce Pasta for a 5 year old. We had specifically mentioned that the pasta should not be spicy, and had even called the premises to repeat the same, yet once the food arrived, it was clear that they are unbothered, ignorant and callous. They give a damn about specified instructions. This has become a repeated phenomenon at Jalapenõs. Upon calling them to ask about the same, instead of being apologetic, they began to rudely answer back and argue. This is completely unacceptable behaviour. I would not recommend anybody to order food from Jalapenõs. Please ensure that you are given the best service and if not, point out their mistakes so that they learn a lesson and don't repeat the same.

The Stuffed Mushroom, Baked Jacket Potato, Veg Creamy Risotto were delicious, well presented, low on spices & surely yummy! The Whole Wheat Pasta in red sauce was again something to watch out for!<br/><br/>Overall, coming to the food quality and quantity, everything was sufficient & was on point. Service was good as well. The drink that we took, the Mojito was also fizzy and refreshing which went well with our sumptuous lunch that we definitely enjoyed at Jalapenos!<br/><br/>If you're looking for healthy options, also if you're die-hard cheese fanatic, this is the place to be in with friends & family!

Secretly located in camac street yet having a long history, Jalapenos is the heaven for cheese-lover. The cheese based dishes are amazing here. <br/><br/>Cheese Fondue: Amazing flavours and as i mentioned before the cheese here is just lip smacking! I would recommend this dish.<br/><br/>Roesti in Creme Mushroom Sauce: The roesti was really delicious and it tasted well and tagged along with the mushroom sauce.<br/><br/>Cream of Broccoli Soup: Though I am not a fan of Broccoli at all, if you wanna get over your phobia against Broccoli try this soup, it's just YUMMY! <br/><br/>Tricolour Pasta: Well I loved the concept of bringing three flavours together, but I felt the red sauce portion wasn't up to to the mark, otherwise it was good.<br/><br/>Green Apple Mocktail: Though this mocktail tasted good, the flavour wasn't near green apple at all. <br/><br/>Overall a great place for cheese lovers and a quick bite to make your taste buds experience some delicious cheese-based dishes at just 800 INR for 2 people pocket pinch.<br/><br/>Recommended.

I had been here a few times and I'm finally reviewing this place based on my recent experience.<br/><br/>I had a Strawberry Mojito, which was perfectly sweet and fizzy.<br/><br/>The food I had here, included -<br/><br/>• Original Jalapeno Nachos - The nachos were crispy and tasted great with the salsa dip.<br/><br/>• Garlic Mushroom with Herb Bread - This was very cheesy and I completely fell in love with the succulent mushrooms. This is something you must try here.<br/><br/>• Pad Thai noodles with curry - The noodles were well cooked. The Red Thai curry with broccoli and babycorn went well with the noodles.<br/><br/>• Family Garlic Bread - This is one of the signature dishes of this place. This was full of cheese. This was a delight to have.<br/><br/>• Sizzling Brownie - Nothing can go wrong with this. The brownie had a wonderful texture and I was a perfectly sweet ending to the meal.<br/><br/>Overall, the food was quite good. The service was very fast. My favourites would be the Mushroom and the Family Garlic Bread.

So as it's my to go place for all Italian food cravings, I had a really bad experience. On 14th September I went for dinner along with 3 of my friends. We ordered -<br/>1. Supreme Nachos<br/>2. Mix sauce Pasta<br/>3. Sizzling brownie<br/>4. Family Garlic Bread<br/>After an hour or so, all four of us experienced stomach ache. And one piece of the garlic bread was packed for my friend's brother. Even he experienced a severe stomach ache. What I feel is it was stale.. Stale garlic bread was served to us. Kindly do not serve something at the cost of someone's health. This is not expected from such a great food joint. Definitely, one negative experience will make me think again before visiting.

Jalapenos is located in Wood Street Area and is a well-established eatery. The staff is helpful and the service is timely. One portion of the delicious Italian Sizzler (rice base) is sufficient to fill two empty stomachs. My experience there was really great! :)

I was very frequent to this place till 2013. And I went to this place today after years. I have tried a lot of dishes here. Love the food. This place brings back a lot of good memories with my friends. The food here tastes still the same which ensures that I go to the place again soon. Family garlic bread and supreme nachos is a must try here. Although sizzler, pasta, cheese fondue, pizza, Mexican rice and my list is never ending is all super yumm at this place. After a long time I visited this place only to see almost everything is the same, little changes to the interiors(which has been refurbished). One of my friend recommended me about this resturant. We went first time for Sunday lunch. Loved this place and resturant enviroment. Service was promt with good behaviour. We ordered Italian sizzler, Bruschetta, Quesadilla. Food quality and taste both are just wonderful. We surely look forward to eat there in future!

My sister and I visited this place yesterday. We ordered one brownie cold coffee shake, one virgin mojito and family garlic bread. The shake and the virgin mojito were very good. However, the family garlic bread wasn’t good and I did not feel well after eating it. Please try and improve. Best wishes!

Have been to this place so many times since more than 8 years and they have kept their taster so consistent which brings me back here again and again. Trying new dishes at this place isn't scary! Some of their must haves is Supreme nachos, family garlic bread, lasagne, pastas, Italian sizzler.
