Review Kebab E Que - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Loved the food and the ambience. We tried a range of items from their menu. All were good, except the dessert. The mutton kebab was amazing. The curries were a class apart - all dals, paneer and chicken were cooked properly and it was pure joy to be able to experience it. The ambience is lovely, perfect for a family get together. They can improve upon the dessert, rest is good.

Perhaps the best starters I have eaten in India, yet let down by the Chicken curry and Biryani which wasn't to our pallette at all. We left half the curry and biriyani and didn't take it home either. Had heard exceptional things about this place. The drinks ie Mojitos were very nice

Good table service and mughlai food with distinctive flavors. The serving portions are generous. We ordered with a lot of variety and all of it was quite good. I quite liked the tandoori chicken and the prawn malai curry.

A Culinary Gem with Intimate Ambiance My dining experience at this restaurant was truly memorable. The hallmark of the meal was the authentic and delicious food. However, I must note that the portions were slightly smaller than anticipated. Despite this, the culinary journey was remarkable. The service was another highlight of our evening. We were attended to with exceptional care, making us feel valued and well-cared for. The staff was attentive, responsive, and genuinely hospitable, enhancing our dining experience significantly. But what truly set this restaurant apart was its ambiance. The decor was stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The best part was the sense of exclusivity we felt, being practically the only patrons at that time. This allowed us to enjoy our meal in a peaceful setting, fostering great conversation without any rush.

Ambience was good. Food was outstanding. Service could've been better.

Large hotel restaurant serving kebabs and curries as well as a selection of Chinese dishes. Its nearby Maidan metro. The Astor Hotel, 15, Shakespeare Sarani, Elgin, Kolkata, West Bengal 700071. Buffet is fine as per price and atmosphere but as compared with BBQ & ABBBQ food options were less. However food quality and services is best. You can find parking here.

The food was real fresh, tasty, great portion size. The staff was friendly & helpful. Overall, it's worth the price going by the fact that the food was real good, ambience was awesome.

Loved the palce , sevice and food both are top class, specially their ambiance. Whatever we ordered were served very warm and food was delicious. Person who assisted us he helps us a lot in terms of deciding and their signature dishes.

Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great & waitress (Ravi) is always so friendly and kind. The food here is good and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.

I am glad to rate 5 out of 5. Vintage look and ambience. Perfect place for Kebabs. Quite pocket friendly if you have vouchers. Don not miss makhmali paratha and non veg kebab platter there. Caramel custard pudding was awesome. Staffs are customer friendly. All dishes were freshly prepared and served hot at table. Separate smoking are is available outside with seating arrangements. One of the great place for dine out.

Been coming here since childhood. After a long delay, came for Christmas lunch. Service was great, good was consistent and management was hospitable and professional. Happy to come back again soon.

It was just wow...an experience that is worth reminiscent. There will never be a person that will go out unsatisfied. The starter itself is more than enough for anyone to undoubtedly give the highest rate of satisfaction. We would never hesitate to have our second, third and counting...visits. It maintains its old school vibes... Good were excellent... Price is much reasonable compared to new fine dining places.

It was a great experience. The food is really nice and high quality! It's a great place to go with family. The ambience is great.

My wife got a buffet voucher for this place on a Saturday, but it wasn't applicable on weekends. Despite that, the staff went above and beyond, creating a personalized menu and serving us everything at the table. The food was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly courteous and prompt. In one sentence: "I will be back." Thank you, Astor!

The Best buffet for the price I've had in Kolkata( Flame&Grill will be a close 2nd). The Kababs served here are outstanding, every single one of them is succulent, packed with flavor and served hot. Starter has 3 veg and 3 non veg kababs. The main course is impressive as well with Chinese, Indian, Continental items in the menu. Sweet dish had caramel custard, Nolen Gur er ice creme, Chana r Payesh. There were 2 shortfalls, however, one is the biriyani rice is not cooked well and lacked flavor while service was really slow.
