Review Ozora - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Amazing fine dining experience from the 20th floor of Acropolis mall, with a fantastic view to boot. The only problem seemed to the unavailability of some items in the menu. The ambience is great, the service is smooth and on time. The food quality and quantity were at par with the prices and the presentation was pleasing. There are also budget friendly combos available during the afternoon hours, such as the Chinese platter and Italian platters.

We went there simply for the view. Food was good and had a great time taking pictures from the 20th floor

One of the most beautiful rooftop bars and restaurants in Kolkata. You can feel Kolkata as like a bird. Cost is high but it's worth it. I hope you will enjoy it.

The view was mesmerizing. The food was delicious. Overall a must visit when in Kolkata. The staffs were very well mannered and courteous.. special care is taken for every individual. Lovely ambience. They have a separate zaccuzi as well.

Visited their rooftop section. Excellent ambience and service. Food is ok but can be improved. We ordered Tom Kha Shrimp soup, Lapchi Kai Chicken....these two r excellent in taste n portion size. But not satisfied with the quality of fish in Beer Battered Fish. Satisfied with their beverages....Gondhoraj Basil Mojito and In The Field....both r quite good. Service is excellent....special mention for Babai who was attending us....advices and service are awesome. And offcourse ambience is very pleasing if you are lucky to hv a nice weather. Price part....I wd say is quite reasonable.

Ambience - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Cocktails - 3/5 Staff - 3/5 Cleanliness and hygiene - 5/5 Music - 3/5 The place has a cover charge of 1000 per head for outdoor seating. The seats near the railing overlooking can accomodate only 3 people max, you can ask for an additional chair for a group of 4 but that makes it difficult for you to keep your food because the tables are very small. I'd prefer if they had bigger tables as well in the corner for seating a larger group. The ambience of the place is great. The view is amazing. However, they have a set of running lights which blinks very fast and bright making it somewhat irritable sometimes and not ideally suited for photosensitive people. The food is really good. My Favorite was cheese jalapeno poppers. We also ordered some cocktails which was not really the best ones I've had. It was decent to say the least. The noodles was a good option and the pizza was really good as well. Coming to the staff, I was not really impressed with their hospitality considering the price charged. They were very casual at their behaviour and did not show exceptional hospitality skills which I'd ideally expect from such a posh place. The music selection was not really great when I visited, probably you would find a better DJ on other days. Fingers crossed though.

Best view of Kolkata city from the rooftop. You have to give extra 1000 rupees to sit at the rooftop. The ambience is very chill and cool. We went in lunar eclipse day, the moon was shining bright and the city looks marvellous. One drawback is they take really long time to serve you the order. Had to wait for 30 mins for one small drink.

Ambience is par excellence!! the main reason why people visit. The food wasn't great at one time, but now its much better. They have improved remarkably. Service is v good. Polite and efficient staff. Overall excellent!

A great rooftop restaurant to hang out. The atmosphere is oh my God.....top notch and the food is great as well..... You can see the whole skyline of Kolkata city from the top.

We visited Ozora few days and loved the mesmerizing view of Kolkata from the 20th Floor (AcropolisMall Building). They have both rooftop and covered restaurant both . Wonderful lit ambience inside and the rooftop is most loved for its view. Cool music being played and the lights were beautiful. There are sitting arrangements for two or even large groups.They serve alcohol .The food was fresh and delicious. We tried Smoked Chicken Pizza,Reshmi Chicken Kebab,Kukkad Lehsuni Kebab. Desserts were so yummy- Tried Lemon Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheese Cake. Price is a bit on the higher side. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

A lovely experience from the 20th floor of the building which gives a skyline view of the entire city of joy. We wanted to sit on the rooftop area but soon decided against it as it was pretty steamy outside (despite being the evening hours). We ordered chicken sweet corn soup, roasted chilli baby corn, roasted chilli lamb, chicken fiesta (pizza) and hazelnut mousse for dessert. To start off, the drinks were good (virgin mohito and mango merry). The soup was good as well. But the highlight was the chilli lamb : tender and filled with flavour. The chilli baby corn had a good crunchy texture. The pizza was loaded with chicken and we enjoyed it without adding oregano. The chocolate mousse was amazing and it straightaway melts in your mouth. Service was good and rapid. We didn't have a problem in asking for additional plates and the waiters helpfully recommended the best desserts or drink options as and when asked for their opinions. Overall I had a pleasant experience, and after the meal went for a walk along the terrace to get some good clicks of the views ahead.

Ambience is very good♥️. The food quality is very good and the quantity is enough♥️. But the maintenance is a little weak💔. There is little maintenance required. Food serving is good enough♥️. Overall I like it very much. Perfect place for couples♥️.

Love the ambience, food quality, staff behaviour & professionalism. Just had to wait a little over average for the main course to be served. The menu has a great variety. But most importantly the view is great. But it's limited because of the extreme pollution of the city, you can see only up to a few kilometres.

The ambience is priceless and people prefer going over there for the same. If you are looking for a place that's value for money, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a perfect place to take your loved ones don't give a second thought just drop in there. Things Ozora should work on: 1. Should provide menu for Hukkah 2. The view .. The music ... and the Food .. Everything is perfect ... Best part is music and ample space for dancing ... Cocktails are pricey but they are very much worth it ... Well, afterall the view from 21st floor made me exhilarated! The live performane and the bar at notch was awesome! Endorse to visit over dere at eve during sunset to have d 360 degree view of d city of kolkata!

The place looked amazing and specially the view from its 20th floor was the cherry on the cake. But unfortunately half of the things we wanted to order were not available so we had to order other dishes. Apart from this, things went quite well. :)

This place is a great place , from a romantic date to unprecedented fun with friends, welcomed by Nagma at the service and it was humble enough of her to get a beautiful loaction just by the side of the railing. Thanx ozora and team for such a beautiful evening.

Firstly Excellent Rooftop, Attentive Receptionist and Waitstaff. My gf and I had an amazing dinner. The food, both starters and main course were excellent. I find the drinks quite reasonable comparing to other similar lounge over kolkata. Receptionist was so welcoming and polite. Waitstaff had perfect timing with the drinks and food. We never had to wait for him nor did he hover. Hope to visit again soon. *Mr.Lama*

One of the best place in Kolkata where you can enjoy your food with an magnificent view. The ambience is magical and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. The food is delicious though the price range is a little bit on the expensive side. But would you not pay a little extra penny to enjoy your chilled beer with this view. After visiting Ozora, I am not that much happy about their service. <br/>They are not sanitizing the tables after each guest . <br/>The foods are not up to the mark.<br/>Moreover, now the large rooftop is closed, so only a small portion of the rooftop is open. <br/><br/>we ordered one chicken dish, which was full of salt. <br/>Overall the service is not good. Though the view is breathtaking. If you only want yo enjoy the view then you can visit.<br/>

Staff was not professional. The staff-in-charge was rude to everybody. Rain had stopped a long time ago, but still none was allowed outside on the open air seats.

Ozora is a popular party place in Kolkata and it has it's reasons for being so.<br/><br/>The place is well located at Acropolis mall which provides a hassle free parking lot.<br/><br/>Coming to the restaurant itself, it is enormous and leaves us spoilt with the choice of ambience they have to offer. They have a well lit indoor, a dimly lit poolside and a romantic roof top area to dine in.<br/><br/>All of the arrangements are well maintained and all safety precautions are being taken keeping in mind to minimise physical contact as much as possible. Tables had hand sanitizers and cutlery was wrapped in plastics.<br/><br/>I tried a couple of mocktails suggested by a staff and I was happy with the recommendation.<br/><br/>The pizza ordered was crispy while I also felt a little bit of more cheese on it would've made it more complete.<br/><br/>The other dish we ordered was excellent and filling.<br/><br/>The prices are justified for the ambience.<br/><br/>Service is decent here. <br/><br/>To sum it up, a perfect venue to party with your date, with good food post it.<br/><br/>Cheers!

Ozora is a name whose presence is almost a mandate in every food blogger's feed. Mainly for its rooftop diner that offers a breathtaking view of the Kolkata skyline. But this review is not for its better known Acropolis outlet, rather for its brand new delivery combos! We had ordered their Continental Combo Meal Non Veg which is priced at 299/- only! We got another 100/- off using a Zomato promo code. The meal consisted of a non-veg Caesar salad, Jalapeno and Cheese Poppers as starter and Chicken Stroganoff and Pasta (Penne) Arrabiata. <br/><br/><br/>Hits:<br/>1. Price, price, price! Easy on the pocket. Not so easy on the hunger. More than filling for a grown adult.<br/>2. Pasta: A full 5/5. The sauce was a right blend of spicy and tangy.<br/>3. Chicken Stroganoff with Herb Rice: The rice was well cooked and was served in a modest proportion. The Chicken and mushrooms were tasty and in adequate amount. The gravy was a bit too watery though. 4/5<br/>4. Jalapeno and Cheese Poppers: Could taste the cheese alright. The Jalapenos, not so much! 3/5<br/><br/><br/>Misses:<br/>1. The Caesar Salad: Thoroughly disappointing with soggy croutons and the dressing being not well mixed. 2/5<br/><br/><br/>Hit-o-Meter: 4/5 if the Caesar salad can be forgiven. This is the worst place to go to specially when you are looking for a rooftop section to sit. Horrible staff and behaviour is terrible. Do not visit this place. The staff there ignores as if you will eat there for free.

A much awaited visit which was always on the cards! So after the lifting of liquor ban, we visited yesterday!! The entrance was very prominent and bright. Upon taking my details, i was escorted to the back side of Ozora, which looked more like a poolside party place. The downside was the place was very dark but thr view was astounding. The look of Kolkata on a bright night really is out of the world. Anyways back to Ozora, the service was prompt and courteous. All the hygienic sop was maintained. We also ordered one small JD & cosmopolitan. The price, i must admit, was on the higher side. We also ordered one beer later on. Coming to the food part, the taste was really good, portion has hefty as well when compared with the price. Maybe this visit was not perfect but will give the benefit of the doubt to Ozora and will visit once again when its fully operational.

Ozora is one of the few places in Kolkata that lives up to the hype it creates. The ambience is just perfect, especially for romantic outings. The prices are justified for the taste and portion sizes, and also for the setup of the place. Overall, an absolute delight of a place. 10/10 would recommend for dining in.

The worst place to be in kolkata. No Staff courtesy at all. Been there twice denied rooftop section twice with reasons saying not available though you can see people. If you are going there for rooftop there are other places. DO NOT. I repeat do not go to this place.

Went here for dinner today.. was very disappointed to know that due to Amphan there was a major damage to the rooftop.. only a part is opened with very less tables.. so just clicked some photos of the city view and settled in the lounge. Ordered Masala Kulcha, Butter Naan, Malai Kofta, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chicken in Chilli Basil sauce, Mixed fried rice for main course and Vailla and Butter scotch icecream for desserts. Food was really good. Stuffs were also really cooperative.. overall a very good dining experience. 😇

Feels like top of the world, perfect place for a date evening and also perfect place to make her say 'yes'! 😀 One of the best rooftop restaurant in the city. The service is a bit slow but then you get to spend a beautiful evening with a spectacular view of the city. The menu covers a limited combination of cusines, but food tastes good. One of the best pub that is placed in rooftop. I totally love the place and the ambience. Food was very tasty and they serve very chilled beer. One thing I would like to say that the place is over expensive. You have to make a budget of over 5000 to have minimum food there. The food quality the ambience the stuff were amazing.

One of the best place to spend some quality time with you love once in the City... The view from the 20th Floor Roof Top open air is breathtaking... The inner ambience is good too... Best time to visit the place is the evening... A perfect romantic affair is waiting for you if you visit them during this period of time... Staffs are friendly and helpful... Service is quite satisfactory... But the food here is extremely expensive... If you take hard drinks and hookha with a couple of dishes... It may cost around 3500 bucks for 2... Among all the rooftop places you will find this the most attractive. Try out the place. Here you will get alcohol, hookah and food. Food is too good. Specially baked fish in white sauce.

It is located on 20th floor Acropolis Mall, Kashba.<br/>Coming to the ambience, i guess everyone is acquainted with it's beautiful ambience specially the rooftop seating area with live dj & lighting with music.. Rooftop section is bigger than indoor section & you can totally enjoy the mesmerizing city view from the top floor.<br/>Coming to food- we ordered 1.Peri peri chicken pizza & it was quite filled for 3 people. 2. Ordered 3types of fish items but i was disappointed with their prawn item. It was not quite tasty as it was expected. 3.in desset we ordered Tiramisu & it was my favourite & must try. & Hazalnut one also very tasty.<br/>For rooftop only, you have to pay 1k per head in advance & in the time of billing the total amount will be deducted from your already paid money. Only the excess amount you have to pay further nothing much.

Nice place to enjoy with family /friends. View from the rooftop is excellent. Food quality also very good and staffs were polite and helpful.

The manager was least courteous, tried to move without attending or answering query, tables were empty but still waiters asked to wait for long and wasted entire mood of the entertainment

As delicious as the food was, the service was surprisingly mediocre. After entering the premises, we waited for someone to guide us to our table and actually had to find a place ourselves to sit. After we got a table and settled, there was barely an instance when someone was present to take our orders or help us with the existing one, yet ironically, there always was someone to alert us of the last order timing. It was a Thursday Eve and astonishingly the management had a hard time catering all the guests. The 4 star is only for the ambience and food.

Fabulous ambience and great service. Keep going back whenever I am in Kolkata. Special mention of DS Kar who has always been excellent. He also keeps us posted on special evenings/events.

The worst experience ever. I literally thought ill loose my mind at this restaurant. Firstly they made me sit at a waiting table , not the table i requested. for one hour no one took my order, when someone took the order ,, still no food was served. Later got to know that the order wasnt taken or considered. The worst experienece ever, staff wasnt hospitable,, specially the manager is soo worthless and rude. we called him 5 times , but he didnt have the courtesy to come and attend. The manager should be fired. never go to Ozora. the place is pretty but the service is poor, sucks. the manager has no basic manners. If he stays the restaurant will shut down.

Had a terrible experience. Unfortunately there was no alcohol and the food was simply not up-to the mark. Nothing about this place was deserving of the view

Ambience is really top notch..

It's a bit expensive but it's reasonable as per the ambience and decor( the clientele it focuses on) food is reasonably good and the best time to visit is in the evening. Partho, who took cared of our table was very very courteous and prompt with our requests.

To begin with everything is good with regards ambiance food and even it's quality and quantity but few things I felt is really bad about them 1st of all to begin with I really wished to sit at the rooftop but in the entrance itself it was been clearly specified that we have to make an advance payment of 2000₹ then only we can avail the outdoor sitting and if our billing is 2000₹ or more the money with get redeemed accordingly but I think for two people atleast for personal like us who eats less for them a billing of 2000₹ won't be possible so even if the Billing costs 1k the entire 1k paid extra for the rooftop will be deducted. So I think for sitting outdoor making an advance payment of 2k is a waste of money highly dissatisfied with such a rule. 2ndly the receptionist cannot speak properly English I could see she was struggling to speak English fluently lastly I felt sorry for her and started to speak in Bengali and 3rd the staffs inside carry alot of arrogance we felt highly ignorant. 4th they instructed us since we have availed indoor sitting we can't go outdoor untill and unless we place our order and 5thly clearly told us at the entrance that EVEN IF WE GO OUTSIDE TO CLICK PICTURES WE CANNOT SIT. I really felt abit humiliated. Anyway barring that the only reason for which I placed a 3 star is because of their superb ambiance and we ordered Chicken and Bacon Pizza which was a large pizza and totally satisfied with the quantity and quality and sufficient for 2 people and 2ndly we ordered Chicken Biryani which was fantastic and it comes in 2 pieces of chicken which are breast pieces and the quantity was hugh totally filled the tummy. But most important suggestion to all of the viewers is that see,, wead these took item and our bill was 950+cgst+sgst something, if we had availed 2k advance payment rooftop sitting the entire 1k would have done on waste(atleast for us) so guys if u have budget of 1k or less its better not to avail outdoor sitting. I would have given a 2 but on HUMANITARIAN GROUND I gave 3.

It was very disappointing that it is no where mentioned they charge Rs 1000 per head if you want to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. It's worst to get to know there That it is compulsory for a person to make a bill of 1000 the above money charged won't be refunded. This is the first time after visiting so many rooftop restaurant over Kolkata Delhi Mumbai I faced something like this. They only charge to sit outdoors. Moreover we waited for booking timings and then we weren't informed about this after we got in we get to know this to sit outside we first need to pay this.

The supervisor is a shot man when we asked place at the balcony he promised as the place was full and provided a seat exactly near the DJ and when we went and enquiried after 20 mins he royally ingnorrd and claimed that he never said so such a pathetic service really upset with this kind of behaviour from such a great place.

We bought a food deal in girf dineout where no where it mentioned to sit on terrace you need to pay a surcharge of ₹1000 per person. On placing order the waiter was absolutely unaware about how things r prepared.drink preparations he showed us on Zomato app.the menu they give in hotel is just printed without preparation mentioned.the rates are exorbitant and definitely not worth.......

Located on the 20th floor of Acropolis Mall it offers breathtaking views of the city below. The food was quite decent and quantity was good for two people. Prices were a bit high but service was quick and efficient. Staff were very attentive and courteous. Would definitely go back again.

Recently visited Ozora at Acropolis Mall,Kasba with friends. Located at 20th floor there is cover charges at entry which can be redeemed with food and drinks.<br/>Roof Top Ambience is simple and impressive. Staff is well groomed and helpful.<br/>Drinks and Food is great thought at higher price which is ok for the service provided.<br/>Live music by band is cherry on top.<br/>Overall a great experience. :-)

The food was good. I loved the baked fish. Although I loved the rooftop view of the Kolkata skyline yet if you are not too much fond of a dimly lit ambience, you better not opt for the rooftop. I want call it dimly lit, I would rather call it rather dark. It would have been better if they had softer warm lights in the corners to add a touch of sophistication as well as warmth. I feel lighting affects the ambience and mood of a space get it right and the whole ambience improves.

Words arent enough to describe this place. You have to go and see it yourself. It is one of the best place if have been so far. If there would havr been more stars to review i would have undoubtly given that. This place gives u the whole city view which is amazing.<br/>Now some facts to know:-<br/>• This place is situated on the top of the acropolis mall, on the 20th floor.<br/>• They take a cover charge of 1000rs per person to sit on the rooftop. This charge is totally adjustable with the bill.<br/>• I recommended everyone to go to this place during sunset as it gives u an other wordly view at that time. It is damn mesmerizing<br/>• Must try their cocktails. its damn good<br/><br/>The price of food is bit on the higher side but it is worth the hype as the quantity is also good enough.<br/>This place is perfect for a romantic date, or an anniversary celebration or if you want to spend some good time with your partner. It is not mention anywhere that you have to pay cover charge...at the time of paying for cover charge staff will say that it will be refundable but after having your food they will not refund money and say that you will have to use the full amount..<br/>In my opinion one should not visit such places

I have been willing to visit this place since quite a long time given the positive reviews that I have been getting all over social media and considering the beautiful view from the 20th floor of the Acropolis but what I found was actually utterly disappointing.I was totally crestfallen on visiting this place.First of all the rooftop ambience was very very average.The place is too dark and it's even difficult to see the menu card in the darkness.I have been to other rooftop restaurants and I found this one to be too much overhyped when compared to the other ones.But the most disappointing factor was the price!Among foods we ordered chicken amd meat ball tartlets,chicken olivetti,chicken red wine pasta and chicken and bacon pizza and honestly speaking all of them tasted really good.But considering the quantity they were all overpriced.Especially the pasta costed 600 bucks!Same goes for alcohol as well.If you wish to eat and drink well in this place you need to spend atleast 5000 bucks for just two people!Also given the kind of ambience it offers I felt that charging 1000 rupees in advance for outdoor seating is totally worthless(no other places charge this thing).The service was not bad but not very good either. So inspite of having a lot of hope for this place ozora turned out to be a disappointment atleast for me.I wish that they improve their services else very soon this place shall lose it's name.And if anybody wants me to suggest a rooftop restaurant in Kolkata I shall definitely suggest other places over this one.

Ambience is just woww..a perfect place for romantic dine out..stuffs are very polite and cooperative also...we celebrate our anniversary..they allow cake cutting.. coming to the food, all the items are very tasty and the stater mainly 'prawn salt and pepper' is jst wow wowww....<br/>I recommended this place and wish to visit again👍

This is a great restaurant. I have visited on 1st January. Hazelnut Mousse Flan is the item I should recommend for everyone.

It was extremely chilly, but with time, the evening became very pleasant, courtesy the music, the crowd and some good old Old Monk.<br/><br/>We had ordered mostly starters.<br/><br/>The loved the food that was on offer. The staff was very courteous, and more than anything else, the ambience was brilliant.

This place is a must visit. The view is phenomenal.<br/>Its situated at the 20floor behind acropolis mall(tricky ti find the lift). There is a cover charge of 1000rs per person to be seated outside which can be redeemed in your bill in the end. The cocktail served were really made well. The staff was very helpful. We wanted ti have french fries which wasn’t in the menu but they arranged it for us. Apart from few classic cocktails we ordered fish tikka and grilled fish in tartar sauce. Both the dishes were well cooked. I found the pocket pinch very standard in context to what there are offering. Its same as most fine lounges these days around Kolkata. We really enjoyed the time there. I would suggest going to ozora before sunset as the view is so much better after sundown its still pretty but the ambience is dark and you won’t be able to click photos (if that’s something you are interested)<br/>Thus, the beautiful ambience and the courteous staff memebers make ozora a really worth while visit.

Been there for the first time for my anniversary celebration.. firstly I want to clear the cover charges. At the entrance you have to buy coupon for cover charges and the charge is 1000/- which you can redeem from your food bill.. ambience is superb.. have to wait for 20-30 mins to get a seat.. asked to place the order for the drinks while waiting don’t know why but they informed it will help me to get the seat faster!! Now come to the food menu order a fish and a chicken starter, mixed fried rice and a chicken side dish.. but I will say this is the one of the few restaurants in which I have dined in that have all tasty dishes.. can’t tell which one is better.. every dish is superb.. must visit restaurant in kolkata..
