Review Momo I Am - Kolkata (Calcutta)

What a lovely place to hang out and spend time with beloved ones. Firstly their decoration and ambience which is top graded, very well decorated with lovely art works and lights. Also the place is so quiet that it will drag one's mind into peace. Now coming to their food, which didn't fail to blow our mind and satisfy our tastebuds. Each and every food was so delicious and mouthwatering. Specially Pork steam momo, which was served so nicely, that tasted too good and juicy that we had to order it once again. Chicken pan fried momo, hot and sour soup, schezwan noodle bowl, each and every dish was so good and delicious. Coming to their price, not too high, and also not too low. More or less 300 rupees per person. Definitely recommended.

This restaurant is just a 4min walk from City Centre 1, so situated in an easily accessible location. I went there with my bestie on Dashami evening around 7pm. At that time plenty of seats were available. The restaurant is a bit small, not very spacious. We ordered: 👇🏻 1. Panko Prawn [8pcs] ₹390 this was really good 👌🏻💯 2. Momoiam Chopsuey Noodles Mixed ₹390 3. Cheesecake with Ice Cream ₹320 this was finger-lickingly awesome 😋😋🤤 The items seemed a bit expensive to me. Staff service was really good. Also, the serving time was quick. Point to be noted: If you wanna try sushi, then you have to visit either the Sector V outlet or the Chinar Park one because this is a small outlet, so they don't have enough space to prepare sushi!

A small and cozy place to savor delicious asian cuisines. We'd noodles tossed in basil sauce and chilly pork.I'd be more satisfied had the pork been a bit more succulent but the noodles tossed with tangy basil sauce , fried egg and chicken is a must try. Looking forward to visit this cozy place again.

We take lunch on Monday so it's not crowded. Egg noodle goes well teriyaki chicken salad. The sour soup with prawns looks like Thai soup but lacking some herbals. Just a small problem with card machine when I use my Visa card, then i paid by cash. A retro style restaurant with tasty food is a good choice in general

I visited this place for the 4th time in one week. The Tibetan pork momo was juicy and delicious. The soup with the momo was to die for. The noodles were also very subtle in taste . A must go place for momo lovers.

I visited Momo I Am on a weekday afternoon with my family and we had a great time. The restaurant is located in Bidhannagar Sector 1 CD Block, which is easily accessible by public transport. The ambience is cozy and colorful, with Tibetan flags and posters adorning the walls. The service is prompt and courteous, and the staff is well informed about the menu. We ordered Red Dragon and Soho La for drinks, which were refreshing and flavorful. Red Dragon is a mocktail made with cranberry juice, raspberry juice, lemonade, and mint - my Favorite. For food, we tried Momo I Am Crispy Chicken, Chicken Bao and Pan Fried Chicken Momo. The crispy chicken was tender and juicy, coated with a spicy and tangy sauce. The chicken bao was soft and fluffy. The pan-fried chicken momo was my favorite, as it was crispy and juicy and a succulent filling. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend Momo I Am to anyone who loves Tibetan and Chinese cuisine. It’s a place where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Just 4 months back I was first introduced to this place by a friend (we 3 ladies went out for dinner). And I absolutely felt in love with the food. So, I had to, by all means, take my family for a meal there. We ordered Tibetan food (some might call the taste bland, but it was perfect for my taste buds), momos, rice and some chicken dish. With a side of sweet lime soda and soft drinks, as per our usual. And the food was amazing. Each and every item Superbly cooked with the correct amount of spice and flavour. Since then, the place has been an absolute favourite. Pro Tip: Do try the steamed Bao. It tastes heavenly. The atmosphere is also good. Also would like to put a small mention for the washroom. Unlike many small/big restaurants, this place offers a Uber clean and stink free washroom. Plus has a separate wash basin outside the washroom, which comes in very handy, if you visit the place with kids. The atmosphere is great. The wait time (after ordering) could have been better. But given the fact, that they serve amazing food, I’m willing to wait for an extra 10-15 minutes for the food to come to my plate. Oh! And the crockery they use is also great. Fine dining restaurant. Highly recommended.

The taste and quality of the food is top notch. The jhol momo and the bao are heavenly. Must visit for having good food and to relax.

🫰how to reach: very close to city centre 1. 🫰Momos, Tibetan foods 🫰Foods were good. I just love the chicken bao. Pricy food little bit. Otherwise nice.

My go to restaurant whenever I find myself stuck at sector 1, Salt lake and the best part is, it only takes five minute walk to reach city centre 1

Hello Folks, I never make any post public, but this post needs serious attention from all of you. Momo I am is an eating joint having four branches across Kolkata. I am a frequent visitor of lake gardens branch. Since I don't stay in Kolkata, whenever I am in my home time I make a point to visit this place with friends and family as they serve amazing momo. Today was one such day, when I visited the lake gardens branch with my sibling tribikram ghosh We ordered the following: 1. 1 Chilly chiken momo. 2. 1 Chicken bao. 3. 1 chiken shypta. 4. 1 mix non veg noodles with strict instructions NO PRAWN. I repeat NO. PRAWN. Our order was served smoothly, but as soon as the noodles arrived, we noticed prawns have been added to it, we politely requested the waiter and reminded him that we ordered mix non-veg noodles without prawn. The waiter took away the dish and got another plate of noodles after 5-7 minutes. This time, when the noodles arrived, we served it on our plates and started eating. Only after a couple of minutes later did we realize that the staff of momo I am removed the prawn pieces from the top only and entire dish had the pieces of prawn intact from inside. The restaurant got crowed slowly and there was no waiter to attend us. We finished our remaining food and approached the counter to clear the bill. It was then, when I explained the horrific experience to the billing counter guy. He has no answer for the actions done by the staff. I asked him to make me speak to the owner/manager of the joint. After a couple of minutes, he made me speak to one Mr. Prabhakar who claimed to be the manager of momo I am. I explained him the entire ordeal. I also told him that owing to the callous display of service by his staff, they have wilfully committed negligence which can trigger health issues since both me and my brother are allergic to prawns. I also told him, how the first time we requested the waiter to change the dish, but just to save some money, they did not remake the dish but just removed a few prawn pieces and left the remaining ones. I was shocked to see his response, as his sole solution to the problem was "ma'am you needn't pay the bill. The order placed by you shall be made complimentary". Mr. Prabhakar and momo I am please get it clear I did not go to your joint to eat for free or to expose myself to serious allergy. I went there to enjoy the food. But sadly, you have failed beyond standards. Let's forget about customer satisfaction, you have put me in a condition which can aggravate my allergy condition. After the telephonic discussion with Mr. Prabhakar I asked the billing guy for the amount so that the payment could be cleared. The entire staff asked me not to share this experience with anyone and tried to bribe me by making the entire service complimentary. When I vehemently refused and told them, that they should apologize for what they have done rather than bribing me, they gave me two voucher coupons of RS. 500 each to be used by 31'st July. This behavior displayed by the staff and manager of Momo I am is not acceptable and that they have failed terribly in serving their customer and have put us to acute health hazards. I wonder where are we heading to? If this the level of service should we carry our medical kits along? Or is the food joint go to bear the mental stress for falling sick? A sincere food lover.

A very tiny place to sit and eat barely 5-6 tables and that too a table of 4 only fits 2 Yes there are nice graffiti on all the walls which give it a different look The service is moderately slow and the staff is sweet and polite Now the food Chicken momo-a plate had 6 pieces was nice but were a little small and the red dip which we get with it was not so good had a lot of garlic in it Chicken Hakka noodle-was good in taste and there was a good quantity also Chicken thuppa-nice warm refreshing tasty and there was good quantity of soup but it had verry less quantity of chicken

This is my all time favourite place to hang out. Food is totally awesome and staffs are very good. I am fan of this place The ambience and the grafitti in the wall is truly perfect. I love this place.

I went there on 16th Feb '18 with my friends travelling from abroad. I've been here multiple times before and hence vouched for this joint. We ordered for a momo platter and much to my embarrassment my friends stumbled upon hairs inside the momo. No apologies were offered but a new serving was issued. Needless to mention the experience was quite ruined. Safe to say I am steering clear of this joint.

Mouthwatering foods at cheap rate. A good joint to catch up with friends or for a hangout on weekend. Only one demerit is that the space is very tiny..
Ankit Manna
Pretty cool place to taste chinese food in a affordabe price. Give it a shot if you are looking for a new chinese joint.

One of my favorite joints to head out for Sunday lunch. Me and my daughter ordered for steamed chicken momo and drums of hell. The momo was soft and chicken filling was just about right. However I felt the size of the mom has become smaller in comparison to my last visit. The soup given along with it too was of less quantity but was light and soothing. We had requested the chef to keep the spices to a bare minimum in our drums of hell to which he was attentive. The sauce was just yummy. Can't wait for Sunday again..
Prantik Mitra
Ah, the music, the ambience and the food. A must visit destination for all the foodies out there.

Ordered Lhasa Pork at Chinar Park outlet. As it is home delivery they served only fat as much as possible. Hardly found lean meat, which is not at all acceptable. However they charge good money.

It's really a cool place.. good authentic food and a good vibe .. one should visit.

In this post-pandemic era, there are new parameters to judge a restaurant. Momo I Am delivers fine in those, and of course the same familiar taste.

Visited this restaurant for a casual Chinese lunch.

Review

Food- ordered chicken bao, drums of heaven and pan fried momos.
The food quantity was good. Pan fried momos is a must try hopeful the bao seemed a bit overrated.
4/5

Ambience- Very cosy place. Nice decor and simple one. Spacious and the colour coordination of the interiors is quite comfortable for the eye and having a beautiful experience.
4/5

Behavior- The staffs were friendly and very efficient.
5/5

Overall experience quite good.
Must try for Chinese Food Hunters. ❤

Pork steam momo was asusual delicious. They enable to maintain the taste as long back as now. Despite, the sour taste was different and authentic lemon flavour add extra points, the thai chiken red curry was too much sweet in
taste. The little spiceness may enhance the taste.

Well first of all the ambience 4/5
Sanitisation- 5/5 temperature check with sanitizer
Well maintained distance
Order served very fast
Most important
Pan fried chilli fish is like its melting in our mouth
The chilli chicken is like a puffed meatball inside our mouth and its so soft that it melts up.
Overall i must say it’s a place for all the welcoming gesture to the food then ever procedure they take through is really great. And most important in this lockdown also the service was superb and upto the mark a overall 4.5/5.
Yogesh Goyal
The food was pretty average. Not great. We ordered for Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Hangover Spicy Momos, Chilli Garlic Noodles and Veg Manchurian. The Crisp Chilli Babycorn was descent. The momos weren't spicy as the name suggests and was average in taste. The Chilli Garlic Noodles and Veg Manchurian were a huge disappointment. It didn't taste good. Although the food was pretty average, the service was pretty good.
Shreyasi Biswas
We ordered pork bao, Cantonese noodles and crispy roast pork. The pork bao was delicious. Cantonese noodles was really good, but it was a bit less salty... which is okay. The crispy pork was delicious. Overall we really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately cheesecake was not prepared so it was a bit of disappointment. Other desserts weren't there so we just ordered pepsi.

This was an unplanned visit to Momo I Am, and surprisingly it became one of my favourite Asian Cuisine restaurants in Saltlake.
Food is too delicious! Service and interiors were great too. We ordered Pork Bao, Mixed Noodles in Garlic Sauce, Chicken with Shitake Mushrooms in Oyster Sauce and Cheese Cake for dessert. All of them were extraordinary and had distinct flavours that I will cherish for long.
Loved this place a lot.

The ambience is awesome. There's few places with this magical surrounding in kolkata as this... The food is both delicious and eye catching... Ample ingredients of taste in right quantity with juice texture makes it really on of the top asian dining experience. Just do yourself a favour, and go in a crowded day. You'll feel like enjoying a party .. 4.7 from me🤘...
We had an amazing experience there. The ambience was pretty good. Though the place was small, the place offers a cheerful cozy ambience with warm wooden furniture. The Graffiti was very eye catchy and can be the next background of your cover photo.😎

Now let's come to the food!
📌We've ordered -
Drums of Hell ||₹250 (3.8/5)[only for the 'choi' thing] 🤕
Pork Pan Fried Momo || ₹180 (5/5)
Chicken Flat Noodles || ₹210 (4/5)
Cheese Cake (with ice cream) || ₹240 (3/5)

Pork Pan fried momos were very juicy and the filling had right amount of pork in it and was tempting. The sauce in which the momos were tossed had a nice consistency and was finger licking good. 🤤
The savoury drums of hell had the added garlic and onion flavour in it which can drive you to hell! 🤤But the irritating part of that dish was the 'piper chaba' (aka choi jhal) which will bother you in every bite of that dish.😓
The flat noodles had a balanced flavour with a good portion.😋
We ordered cheesecake with cranberry dressing as we heard that cheesecake is one of their signature dishes . But alas! It couldn't match our expectation level.🥺

----------------------------------------
Food Quality- (8.5/10)
Food Quantity- (9/10)
Ambience - (8/10)
Service- (9.5/10)
----------------------------------------
Last but not the least staffs were cordial and courteous.😇

If you love Tibetan, Chinese and Thai dishes then it is a must try restaurant for you! 😊

The Ambience was on point! Loved the experience way too much! The themed decor was wonderful.
•Pork Bao: the Bao was really soft the the pork was yum and really flavourful
• chicken drums of hell-- extremely juicy and tossed in a spicy yet tangy sauce
•Kamikaze- the mocktail made with cranberry and litchi had my heart. Loved it very much
Suvashis Halder
Poor quality glass momos and soup ! Did not expect the filling to be so ordinary as compared to the price. The chicken coriander soup was a big compromise. Quite sad ! Bad experience.

For me this is the best place for having chineese around Sector 1. Very well decorated place with Chinese vibes . Food served there is very tasty . Pork T-momo combo is my favourite . Beside that noodles, momos and other dishes are also very tasty.

Last night I ordered from MOMO I am. I have ordered chilli Garlic fish, Sezwan rice and shitake mushroom noodles and I must tell you what a delicacy. After lockdown, the first food which I am having from outside is from momo I am. They never really disappoint anyone. The food tastes heavenly. Sezwan was perfectly seasoned and spicy. I loved the freshness of the fish. Shitake mushroom just takes away my heart.
Miss Quinoa (Tamasa Mullick)
Momo i am is currently my favourite joint, this time tried stir fried chilli chicken momo, Kung pao chicken and oriental basil noodles.. quantity was good for 2ppl as u can see and quality was good as usual.. only the saddest part was there were no dessert and mocktails due to this pandemic situation.. which was very disappointing, bcz i wanted to eat that lemon cheesecake.. that's my favourite! But there were no cheesecake available 😓😓
Dr-Nilanjana Bhattacharyya
We love food from this brand...due to the global pandemic we were really sceptical and were not venturing much..but when we came to know that our favourite outlet has opened it's door to dine in, delivery and takeaway..we were overjoyed..they are maintaining strict hygiene and hence we ordered few of our favourites like dry Schezwan Chicken, Chicken T momos, Bangkok Street noodle soup etc.. finally our tummies are happy now!
Mr.Foodie_Official
Had Chicken kothay, Chicken bao,
Shiitake mushroom noodles with chicken and Cashew teriyaki chicken a few days back via zomato. The delivery was fast and the packaging was wonderful. The food was fresh and hot even after hours. Coming to the food , the kothay and baos were juicy and too good. The baos are especially superb. The combo of noodles and teriyaki chicken went perfect. The quality of chicken used in the dishes are really nice and the portion was quite great too. A highly recommended place for everyone.
Overall had a wonderful experience with the food from this place.

Momo I Am is one my favourite places to satisfy my frequent momo cravings.
They have adopted the following safety measures -
1. Regular sanitization of the restaurant.
2. Daily temperature checks of all staff.
3. Proper handling of raw materials.
4. Entry point hand hygiene (sanitizer dispenser) and thermal
screening provisions.
5. Only asymptomatic staff and patrons are allowed.
6. All staff and patrons to be allowed entry only if using face cover/masks. The face cover/masks is to be worn at all times inside the restaurant.
7. Posters on preventive measures about COVID-19 displayed prominently throughout the restaurant.
8.Adequate manpower has been deployed restaurant management for ensuring social distancing norms.
9.Maintaining physical distancing of a minimum of 6 feet, when queuing up for entry and inside the restaurant.
From Steamed momos to Oriental rice, every dish has a flavour that makes the indulgence relish-worthy. Today I had Veg steam momos, oriental basil fried rice, salt and pepper fish and pepper sriracha chicken, all of them were scrumptious!

This is one of my favourite dish. The momos are delicious and the spicy yet not too hot broth takes the dish to a different level. Highly recommend this dish!!

Momo I am has been one of my go-to restaurants in the city for my Chinese cravings. I have been regular at their RDB outlet which is the grandest, but this small outlet just beside City Centre 1 didn't disappoint me either. They don't serve alcohol n doesn't even come near in comparison to the ambiance u get in RDB. But this doesn't come in between their food n staffs. Ordered: 1. Pork Bao. This is my favourite dish n I never miss out on this whenever I visit their outlet. One of the Best n Must Try!
2. Chilli Pork: This was on the spicier side. Nothing extraordinary.
3. Pork Shyapta: Again succulent, juice tender pork cooked in homemade gravy. Not recommended for people loving spicy food.
4. Stir fried Mixed Noodles: Again their noodles is something I just live, be it any preparation.
5. Schezwan Mixed Fried Rice: This seemed to be pretty regular, nothing to mention in particular.
The staffs were courteous, proper sanitation was done, chairs r placed at distance, food was delivered on time, all orders were available. One may be disappointed if expecting RDB ambiance. Else all in par.

Yesterday i had the worst horrible experience ever. Roadside street food tastes better than what I had yesterday.. the food was completely TASTELESS, SALT LESS.. FLAVOR LESS.. they had just boiled the food.. tossed it in some some sauces and vegetables and handed it over to the delivery agent.. the chicken was watery it had no salt, no flavor, only full of spice. The fried rice was just boiled rice tossed in some vegetables and chicken.. again no salt.. the noodles was just horribly spicy.. like they had put 10 chillies in it..
I had ordered the following Chicken shiitake mushroom fried rice, Oyster shitake mushroom chicken, Veg mushroom and spinach chili garlic noodles

Love the ambience and staff are very good.. Our favourite is the momo platter, mixed hakka noddles, pan fried momos, mixed schezwan fried rice and zen chilli chicken.. I definitely recommend..

We went to sector 1. Ordered one chicken Bao which was really good but I think it's a bit over priced for that quantity. I liked it but the quantity not enough. Then went for the Schewan rice an chicken in white gravy which were yum. Very light and yummy. They were fulfilling. And atlast we ordered the cheesecake. I just loved it.

Momo I Am has a outlet at saltlake sector 1 just few minutes walking distance from City Centre 1. They have a nice ambiance along with a cosy sitting area for 30-32 people at a time. We opted for their two bowls -

1.Pork Tibetan Bowl- In this bowl they serve two pieces of momo along with a soup and a portion of rice and pork shyapta. This bowl is more than enough to fill my tummy at lunch time. The pork shyapta was nicely cooked but can be better and goeswell with that steamed rice.

2. Slow Cooked Pork with Steamed Rice- They serve this along with Prawn chips and a hot chicken soup. The pork meat as very soft and succulent one of the best pork preparation I ever tried. For me this bowl is the best option from their bowl menu.

Prices are as usual very reasonable and quantity is always sufficient.

Schezwan Noodle Bowl from Momo I Am is what I tried out a few days ago for lunch! Was totally blown away by the portion size that they had to offer followed by the mesmerizing taste & amazing flavour! Curated to perfection, this bowl not only looks gramworthy but will surely tantalize your taste buds for sure!

Serves two at a go easily. Pair it up with your favourite drink and you're ready for a hearty meal!

It's a great place to have a casual dinner or lunch. It's reasonably priced and the staff is nice enough. The ambience could be improved a bit though. Also addition of new desserts to the menu would be a great improvement. Momo I am in Saltlake is located conveniently near City Centre 1 and it is also easy to park near it. The quantity of food that they give is excellent .

This place is located near CC1 that serves very good quality Tibetan cusines. Couple of days back, I was there with my very old friend. Since, this place was just new to me so didn't knew what to order. The staffs present were helped us a lot to chose the best food item for us. We ordered Thupka and schezwan chicken fried momo. Taste was really awesome and I recommend this place.

This is what we generally call a good ROI-return on Investment. With minimal decoration, the place has caught the eye with some really exciting Chinese food.Pan fry Chilli Oyster Fish is the best I have had! If you are looking for good food, it is worth the visit.

Me and my elder brother visited the place yesterday. Even after a telephonic conversation with a staff about the fixed price menu, the restaurant denied the service since we were only two but no where it is written that atleast 3-4 person should be together to avail the offer. This was also not being conveyed oner telephone by their staff when asked about the fixed price offer. The manager's behaviour was very rude and unprofessional. Higher management should look into this kind of attitude from the manager if they care about there goodwill, customers and also the potential customers.

I had a great experience at Momo I Am. It is a small eatery but it's well organised. Its an amazing place for anybody who loves to eat dimsums and momos. We ordered for some light steamed vegetables momos and they tasted delicious. The vegetable filling inside was juicy and chewy. The soft, translucent skin of the momos on the outside made them look appealing! The staff was very polite and well mannered and the service was prompt. I would love to come here once again because the taste of Momo I Am's super delicious momos is still lingering on my taste buds!

Momo I am has always been my favorite place for momos and this outlet was pretty packed up and cozy. Now coming to the food:
We ordered pan fried Pork Momos and Chicken Bao along with soft drinks.
The momos here are undoubtedly amazing especially the pork ones but this was my first time trying baos and I wasn't very satisfied with the whole concept of bao because the quantity was not sufficient at all for the price paid. It was pretty much good in taste but the quantity was not enough at all.
Other than that, everything was good!

An unwanted guest on the plate with Hoisin Chicken Dry on 31st afternoon at the City Centre outlet. Really added a dash of oomph to the year end celebrations! Add on - Manager specifically asked not to put in a review anywhere, especially because the cockroach apparently just landed on our plate from the ceiling! Asmita Datta

I must tell you these momo's are not road side momo's these are premium momo's & off-course these are not cheap but you will be satisfied with the price.

i am not saying is too costly but these are not like Rs 40/50 per plate. they is too big and i will recommend you to try different momo's are dishes in your every visit.

Also this is one the best place to hangout, in Sec-5 out-late you will get alcohol as well... so better to visit that out-late
