Review Daawat-e-shiraz - Kolkata (Calcutta)

We were at Shiraz@56 located at a prime location near Park Street. The number 56 represents the street number and not anything else . The decor and ambiance was superb. The welcoming attitude of the staff is worth mentioning. We had ordered Tandoori Jhinga, Gilafee Kebab, chicken biryani, mixed fried rice , chilli chicken and Shahi Tukdra. The Biryani was just heavenly … the aroma, taste… all too good. We had Fresh Lime Soda. It’s worth visiting this place in case you are looking for authentic Mughlai food.

A very cozy and calming place to have Lunch or Dinner ❤️❤️❤️. Really enjoyed the food and overall ambience of the restaurant. Food was a bit costly compared to other restaurants. But, the taste and the quality was amazing. We had ordered Veg fried rice, Mutton Curry and Firhni 😋😋. Overall, really enjoyed that afternoon ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful restaurant with very well mannered staff. Love the way the staff welcomed the customer. Just had a cup of coffee and a take away. Loved the coffee and loved the food even more, bit expensive but worth what I paid for. Would love to return to try other dishes.

I’m quite impressed with the ambiance and the food quality and quantity. The quantity of each dish is enough for 2. We ordered 3 Fresh Lime Soda and 3 Butter Naan. For main course we ordered Mutton Rarra Masala, it was the show stopper, the taste was just amazing. I would recommend it to everyone. It had 2 huge pieces of mutton and the gravy was filled with mutton keema. It was finger liking good. Then we ordered, Mutton Chaap, however had a lot of bones, I would next time opt for a boneless item. Mutton Special Biryani was a little disappointing, the biryani lacked the taste of actual biryani. And there was no aroma of biryani. There were 2 huge mutton pieces in the biryani, the rice, aloo and mutton were flavourful but I guess the chef has changed or something because it lacked the actual taste of biryani. I’ve had from Shiraz before and I felt the taste different. We then ordered Pista Firni and 2 Butterscotch ice cream for dessert. Overall, the food was good and the service was quick. The staff were friendly and nice. On an average it’s ₹2400 for 4 including drinks, food and dessert.

One of the best restaurant for veg & non veg lovers both. Food quality is great with all hygiene maintained. Staff is courteous and good with hospitality.

Very well looked after and had almost 3 waiters looking after us for new years lunch. Food was superb. Very well priced and cordial place.

Taste Good, specially those who love light Biriyani, the place for them. But price little bit high... Now in Kolkata, foods are very much affordable..

It was such a beautiful experience at shiraz@56! No doubt the food was really delicious and it was such an surreal experience. They were very polite and the largest plus point they had was there waitress who made everything so easy and kind. We ordered tandoori rotis and chilli chicken but they didn't take much time and served us right away. We also took 2nd and 3rd rounds of food with rice and paneer currry. Everything was beautiful. We first had doubts about we should go in or not but then we went in and i am happy we did so. Thank you shiraz@56

Best hotel with veg and non veg options. Great hospitality with good staff.

The ambiance is good for group of friends and families as well tge quality of the food is also good, taste is amazing. The only thing i don't like is that the price is high and the portion are very low. For two people you have to pay 600 - 700 depending on the eating habits. Otherwise, stuffs are good and behave well and helpful too.

The quality of food, the location, family atmosphere, and accommodation services were all up to the mark. It's also a great couple and family space. Based on my experience, I would give it a 5-star review and would love to visit again if I ever can.
