Review Jaisalmer Bar & Restaurant - Kolkata (Calcutta)

I must say that each and every dish I had ordered from this city’s one of the best multi-cuisine restaurants—be it Indian, Oriental, or continental—were absolutely flawless. Thumbs up to the taste and portion! The staff are extremely courteous, with a big shout out to Nataraj, a great attendant who is very good at suggesting dishes according to one’s taste. Overall, this restaurant gets a top recommendation from my side.

Everything about this place is good. The staffs are extremely well mannered. Coming to the food each time we went there the food served was fresh and every item tasted excellent. We tried kung pao chicken, crispy mushroom and egg fried rice. The place is beautiful also wide range of cuisine available here.

We had the buffet. All the items on the spread were tasty, but the veg items like tandoor aloo & dal makhni were the show stoppers. A little work can be done to improve the service & atmosphere.

Located in Globsyn Crystals building in Sector 5 of Salt Lake this multi cusine restaurant has a good location and ambience. However, the food quality needs to improve quite a lot, for example, the crispy fried baby corns were really tough to chew and the biryani was quite bland. Moreover, a lot of time was being taken to refill the food counters. Overall an average experience.

One of many restaurants in the Globsyn building of Sec -V, but it stands out on the decor. The entrance with double height lobby design attracts attention. The atmosphere is classy, well maintained, well lit. Glass wall throughout which gives a beautiful view of the area. A family restaurant which serves liquor on the upper deck. Food wise good, lot of vegetarian options. Along side Tandoori items are also worth trying. They also serve buffet but not on all days, checking with them will be good. Staffs are courteous, pricing is at par with other restaurants in the locality. Paid parking on the street is available.

Nice experience with my family. Also it's a very special for group of people like 100 plus. Special dedicated floor was there with beautiful light and music combination.

One of the best tasty north indian food we have ever eaten . One of the staff is Sujit ..he is excellent at his service.

It's a perfect place for private party and Normal dining. Delicious food and warm hospitality by team. Must recommend North Indian Dishes. LASOONI kebab was really fantastic. Lal Maas was fantastic.

On the eve of Diwali, I visited this place for the 1st time for dinner. Located at the heart of Saltlake Sector V, just few mins from IEM college more, inside the Globysn Crystals building. The ambience of this place is very well maintained and very innovative and will surely remind you about Sonar Kella. Inside the resto, the ambient warm light gives you a different feeling. They do have a beautiful bar counter, hookah place that is serve upstairs. Apart from this beautiful decorations, they do have live sports screening too. We ordered 2 Non-veg buffet for dinner that cost us around ₹950/ person excluding drinks. They serve us all the item on our table, although they have a separate corner for buffet also where you can go and have your food. The food item starting from starters to main course was sufficient for us, would suggest if you can't eat too much don't go for the buffet. We feel that for two of us the quantity was more, so ended up very quickly. All items are unlimited, except the welcome drink. Suprisingly each and every item was freshly cooked and served hot. For biryani lovers, I feel the biryani is not so great compared to other buffets in Kolkata. Apart from biryani every item was delicious. In the desert, we got baked sandesh, brownie with Ice cream and hot gulab jamun which was pritty big than BBQ. My overall experience was good. Now coming to the drinks part, all the item prices are comparatively low than other places. We ordered 1 glass of red wine(₹550) and a corona extra(₹599) along with the buffet. With drinks they serves hot peanuts which is also in good amount and unlimited. All the staffs are very polite and helpful in this place. Mr Sujit Maity served us, he is such a great person, loved his behavior and humbleness. Lastly the Chef of this place Mr Kamal Giri, cooked very well and well behaved person and friendly too. We interacted with him during our buffet, honestly speaking never met such a humble person like him. I would highly recommend everyone to try their buffet. They do change their buffet menu everyday. Few days ago, I visited ' Jaisalmer Sonar Kella ' at Saltlake, Sector V, Kolkata & that was my first visit of this place. Dining at Jaisalmer was an absolute delight. Impeccable service by Sujit, a diverse menu, and exquisite flavors made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a special night out. We all were satisfied by the service.

Food quality is good enough. Special Chicken biryani was very good in quantity they serve 4 pieces of chicken and one egg for special chicken biryani. Veg biryani was good too

Ambience is very good. Foods are awesome . Variety of foods are available here ....from chinese to indian , all !! Staffs are well behaved . The foods I tried - 1) Chicken Biriyani. 2) Kashmiri Polao. 3) Chicken Bharta ( contains egg ) 4) Tandoori Roti. 5) Butter Murgh . All the items were delicious 😋 Overall , it's a nice place to eat !! Liked it !!
