Review Mud - Clay Coffee And More - Kolkata (Calcutta)

The Fish Fingers I had there were awesome, they were accompanied with French Fries. Oreo Shake was good. Coffee was good.

We feel nostalgia in every corner of the cafe because the legendary Debabrata Biswas, popularly known as George-da, had lived here at 174E, Rashbehari Avenue which a year ago has been turned into a cafe- Mud Café
sarbani roychoudhury
This cafe is not so big in size, but very cozy. Food is excellent. And the most exciting thing is that all the songs sung by the legendary Rabindrasangeet Artist Debabrata Biswas always played here because the legendary singer lived in this building for many years.
M K Maitra
Legendary Rabindra Sangeet singer Late Debobrata Biswas's home now converted into a restaurant named 'MUD Cafe' with a nostagic touch near Gariahat. Good food, good ambience with nice menu & price. Very popular to younger generations.
Ankita Chatterjee
The food is absolutely amazing. The place is located just beside Manyavar and very easy to locate. Tried the chicken sandwich with cheese, fish finger, cold coffee. The ambience was great and very homely.
dipu borthakur
Loved the cafe. Their menu is really unique which you generally don't find elsewhere. Quality of the food was also awesome. Fish Finger , Chicken steam momo , Mutton Ghugni .. Must try.
Vanali Parmar
Lovely Rustic ambience with slow old bengali manna dey songs!! Felt like it is durga puja with no crowd 😇 A bit pricey compared to the quantity!! Located at Triangular Park, just beside the House of SL. Cost for two : 900

A themed café, theme is Debabrata Biswas, the Rabindra Sangeet Icon. This used to be the house where the legendary singer lived. Café reverberates with his famous style of deep, soulful Rabindra Sangeet. Food is tasty, and quite diverse in variety. Snacks & some sandwiches, kachoori & fish fries/fingers. Coffee & tea are of good quality. Price is reasonable.
Soumyadarshan Biswas
Nice place for spending time in a aesthetic ambience over delicious food accompanied by lilting Rabindra Sangeet tunes.
SANTANU SUR
Must visit for Debabrata Biswas fans. We were informed that the famous baritone voice rabindra sangeet singer stayed here. The restaurant continually played his beautiful songs one after the other. Since the first floor was empty and quiet, where we sat, listened to those gems from tagore from the maestro. Location - just beside triangular park. Food - Matching the ambience, light, and tasty. It was nostalgic listening to "Bajilo kaharo bina," " Prano bhoriye, Trisha hariye," etc, over a cup of darjiling tea.Service ok.
Suman Samui
Good food, nice ambience and very well decorated classic environment _ what else do you need? I would recommend their sandwich mud special.
Koyali Chowdhury
My favorite in this area. Gives a very soothing peaceful vibe. Food is too good. Do try their momo, fish chop, mango shake! Highly recommended.

The ambience is very unique being a heritage house. Quite tasty food. Portion could have been better considering price tag.

The aesthetic and tranquil café amidst the busy streets of Triangular park, with a hint of nostalgia is all I can say about the ambience. The rich aroma of coffee coupled with the songs of Rabindranath tagore in the voice of Debabrata Biswas aka GERORGE-DA who lived in this very place is definitely enthralling. The food tastes great with an amazing presentation, this café is worth your visit . P.s: I was too hungry to click food pics, but I will make sure next time I update the photo section. Till then you can a pay a visit to the café. Cheers.

Very conveniently located...Triangular Park stoppage, opposite to City Style, beside Leather World. Take the narrow lane beside Leather World and enter the cafe. The place was actually the residence of the famous singer Debabrata Biswas. The cafe is unique in it's own special way. Homely decor, touch of "Bangaliana" everywhere. The soft soothing Rabindrasangeet was adding to the charm. We went to the 1st floor and occupied a table. The cafe was almost full though it was a weekday. The hospitality was warm. Staff were courteous. We ordered a Grilled Mud Sandwich, Irish Coffee & Chocolate Mud Cake. Irish Coffee was not available, so we ordered a Hot Chocolate. The sandwich was great. There were 2 layers, lower one had egg & cheese, upper one had chicken. It was served with Kasundi & sauce. Loved it! Chocolate Mud Cake was decent, however I felt the sweetness could have been moderated. Hot Chocolate was just perfect. It had the right proportion of sugar, milk & cocoa powder/ chocolate. It was served with a cookie. The billing is done on the ground floor. The bill had no taxes added. Extremely reasonable. Overall, a very nice experience. A good food journey. Totally Recommended!

Ambience was differently beautiful.Nostalgia was littered in every corner of the place. There is a beautiful touch of romanticism in its decor.A heartfelt conversation over a cup of coffee with your close ones with Rabindrasangeet in the backdrop makes the place unique in its own way.The food was not as good as expected.Else a thumps up.
Nilanjana Roy Chowdhury

Located just beside Triangular Park, MUD Cafe is a popular hangout for food lovers in Southern Kolkata. It's mostly famous for its Mudcake, sandwiches, tea, chips, hot chocolate, Dahi chicken and chocolate mud cake. Many like to taste its mutton ghughni as well. We had mud sandwiches, hot chocolate, Darjeeling tea, Irish coffee, mutton ghughni and finger chips. Taste is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Outstanding ambience takes you back to the golden era of Debabrata Biswas. The staffs are courteous and prompt. I would like to give them a rating of 4/5.

Its a very comfortable cafe i just loved the ambience and the food items are quite good ..and also best place for clicking pictures xd ... yes you can do it too .

There was a time when Rabindra Sangeet and Bengaliana is synonymous. It is impossible to even imagine Bengalis without Rabindra Sangeet. Even in today’s modern age, the relevance of Rabindranath to Bengal and Bengalis is there for all to see - be it the songs in an amateurish voice in any small function or in the happy feet of the fledgling dancers. In making Rabindra Sangeet so important and loved to Bengalis, one cannot deny the contribution of one Debabrata Biswas.<br/>The beautiful heritage house of Debabrata Biswas just beside Triangular park has been turned into a small Bengali café with homely atmosphere. The quaint entrance to the little Bengali cafe at the heart of Gariahat is worth visiting. 💕 If you're Rabindra Sangeet lover then this is a perfect place for you. Whenever we crave some chai pe charcha or some quality Bengali adda this is the place must be go to place for you. Recently I visited this place with my close friend for some quality adda over a cup of Darjeeling tea.<br/>📍 Location: - This Bengali themed café is located at the heart of Gariahat, towards Triangular Park (just beside Manyavar). <br/>▶ Ambience/Décor/Service: The ambience of the place is calm and quiet with neat well seating arrangements made from Jute, earthen floor mats and wooden racks containing clay pots and with music from the 90's played on. It is two storeyed building with an open kitchen in the lower storey and is air-conditioned only in the upper storey. Starting from the table mats to chairs, things are so simple and appealing. This cafe is very pocket friendly compared to other cafes located in that area. One can have their quality time with close ones and can listen to Rabindra Sangeet playing in the background. All over the cafe there are books by different authors and CDs displayed on the walls for purchase. There is also a section for the sale of different handmade jewelries, bags and other accessories. I love the way in which one could call the staff here by the call of the bell anytime one pleases. No one to hurry you down. The staff would oblige to take the order with a smiling face.<br/>▶ Now coming to real deal which is food and beverages of course. Their menu is short and sweet. Their menu has an authentic bengali touch. Some best-selling items are mutton ghughni, mutton puchka, mud sandwich, Special Kolkata mojito, mud cake. On our recent visit we opted for-<br/>❤️ Beverage ☕️<br/>⚜️ Darjeeling Green Tea. <br/>⚜️ Irish Coffee<br/>⚜️ Cold coffee with Ice-cream<br/>❤ Snacks 😋<br/>⚜️ Fish ‘n’ Chips<br/>💰 Pocket pinch: - Pinch for two is ₹ 250 - ₹ 300 for a nice and pleasant experience.<br/>▶Overall: - Overall, had a nice experience. The place has a Bengali aura that will attract every Bengali, who is fond of adda, irrespective of age. The food, no doubt, is good. Be it with the Darjeeling tea, the club sandwich, the fish finger or anything really, MUD won't disappoint you. We get the real free kick to your thoughts once you dropped into this place. Do pay a visit to this place, you won't regret 💕

This place is 2 min walk from triangular park towards gariahat. It's a two storey comfortable cafe. It's got good seating arrangements and bengali songs playing. Staffs were courteous. We ordered grilled cheese sandwich. It was served with chips and tomato , mustard sauce.

This place was in my wishlist for very long. Finally got chance to visit it. A cosy bengali themed cafe with rabindrasangeet playing. <br/>Reading rave reviews at Zomato, ordered the famous mutton ghugni, lemon tea, fresh lime soda and mud cake. <br/>I just got blown by the mutton ghugni and the mud cake. Perfect is the word for both. <br/>Will definitely go back just for the mutton ghugni.
Subhajit Bhattacharyya
ordered one chicken white sauce pasta. it was a disappointment to say the least. While the chicken quantity was generous, it felt tangy in mouth. also, the taste was totally bland. we believe they forgot to put salt. we had to mix hot sauce separately to bring some taste. Not willing to try much from here.

Very nice to visit this place. Ambience is so good and calm. The ordered items are nicely garnished and served…<br/><br/>Those who not visit in this cafe…should go.<br/><br/>Have your own experience…!

We spotted this quaint little cafe on our way to pandal hopping during Durga pujo this year. We stepped inside. The decor was minimalist yet quirky. Books by Ranjan Bandopadhyay were for sale. There were also handmade boutique jewellery for sale. We ordered a pot of filter coffee, chicken egg cheese mayo sandwich, Mexican chicken burger, chicken tikka burger and chocolate mud pie. Coffee was okay. All three food items came with Lays chips. Food was good. The dessert was very yummy with generous amount of chocolate sauce. Prices were pocket friendly. Service was prompt. Overall a good experience.

It is a modest house near Manyavar triangular park that depicts the old charm of kolkata. We were seated at the 2nd floor which is a combination of simple and sophisticatedly chosen interiors.. The food is good compared to the prices they charge. It is definitely going to tickle the nostalgia through the old Rabindrasangeet and other old songs. We ordered cappucino, chiken tikka sandwich and orange mojito. The food was good but the mojito tasted little bitter. Overall grt place for small talks and addas. Definitely gonna visit again...
Abhisek
A very simple but cozy cafe. One of the best place to hang out. Actually this was the home of famous Rabindrasangeet singer, Debabrata Biswas. That's why constant rabindrasangeet playing. Coming to food. I ordered fish finger, grilled mud sandwich and rumali ruti with doi chicken. Overall food quality was good and reasonable.
Benazir
Apart from the ambience of the cafe, I did not quite like their service.. ordered shakes and mojitos but was highly disappointed... the chocolate shake tasted like bournvita totally... utter disappointment.

This beautiful heritage house is turned into a modern bengali cafe with homely atmosphere. The two storied place is decorated with wooden and earthen articles. Soft Rabindra Sangeet playing in the background will travel you back to another era. They are also selling some handcrafted artefacts.<br/><br/>Their menu has an authentic bengali touch. Some best selling items are mutton ghughni, mutton fuchka, mud sandwich, Kolkata mojito, mud cake etc.<br/><br/>We spent a lovely evening here over some coffee and fish fries.<br/><br/>This is the kind of place which compels you to stop by for a while.

Sundays are best described with friends and family.. Well so last sunday I went to this cafe after a long time. The first floor was crowded so they offered us a table at the ground floor.<br/>The interior was well decorated.<br/>Table arrangements was great.<br/>Though it has an open kitchen, it doesn't bother the customers much.<br/>The place was very neat and clean.<br/>Here comes the food, we ordered<br/>1. Irish coffee, which smells really good. I'm not much into strong coffee so for me its the perfect one.<br/>2.fish fingers, which comes with salted french fries along with tomato n mustered sauce. Tasted really well.the filling was good and sufficient.<br/>3. Chicken sandwich, that comes with chips. But it didn't taste well rather it has no salt or papper. The chicken was only boiled and wasn't even spiced up properly. I really don't like this dish.<br/>4. Truty fruty which is a combination of vanilla n chocolate ice creams and chopped fresh fruits on top of it.<br/>Apart from the sandwich I like all the other dishes.<br/>Price was not high, its a pocket friendly place .<br/><br/>

One more done out of my long pending bucket list 😂<br/><br/>Went there for a chitchat session..located a few meters away from Priya cinema hall beside manyavar showroom..their narrow entrance may give you a negative vibe about the ambience of this place..don't guess, simple but neat decoration, less crowdy, calmness of the place,Rabindra sangeet playing all around etc will make your indoor seating quite impressive,a perfect adda place for everyone.<br/><br/>We took special mud sandwich(that we loved the most)chicken wings,Fish nd chip and cold coffee with ice cream.Food tasted okay,Served within 5 to 10 minutes after placing the order, reasonably priced..but we we're not happy with the quantity.<br/>Overall experience was good..but..had a little more expectation from them.
Ishita Maity
Completely in love with the ambience. With constant background music playing rabindra sangeet this is perfect place to hang around with your college group. Coming to food we ordered<br/>-grilled mud sandwich,<br/>-Lemongrass mojito,<br/>-oreo shake,<br/>-walnut brownie with icecream,<br/>-chocolate mud cake<br/>Except for mud cake there was nothing lavish about this cafe but is pocket pinch & completely affordable cafe.
Ankita Chowdhury
Good ambience. Though the space is small, it is well decorated.<br/>The drinks are very average. The iced tea was very dilute. I tried the peach passion and watermelon. The watermelon was ok. But the peach passion was so bitter and dilute<br/>I also ordered a salad. Which was a total disappointment after having salads in Cafe Mezzuna and places like that. Totally plain salad with satisfactory taste but appearance was so disappointing.<br/>Overall. Maybe the other food are good here<br/>But the ones I ordered was a complete disappointment..<br/>

Mud Cafe and More is not just a cafe it is a heaven for adda loving people.<br/>This was previously the home of Legendary Rabindra Sangeet Singer, Debabrata Biswas. It was lying around so the family members has used the total house as cafe.<br/>When you enter this places you will feel the bygone era. Ambiance is so soothing and the calm envierment will regenerate your senses. ONE positive thing is the owner has used Debabrata Biswas posters all around the place along with Rabindra sangeet was playing on background.<br/>You can read some books as well kept on the wall.<br/>Apart from the Beautiful Ambiance the food was great as well. I have tried Darjeeling tea and Egg Mayo Sandwitch which costs way below 200 bucks which is so affordable. Darjeeling tea was treat to flavour loving tea lover.<br/>This cafe is way better than the western ones.
Sanghamitra Baidya
This is a small beautiful cafe in the memory of the great Rabindra sangeet artist Debabrata Biswas. He spent his last few years in this house. This two storied buildings is covered with mat ( in bengali "madur") and decorated with pictures of Debabrata Biswas. We order Mud special grilled sandwich, Darjeeling tea, mango shake with ice cream, Mud cake, Fish n chips, doi chicken with rumali roti, pine apple ice tea and Dab mojito. Food quality was good. Service was superb.

The best thing is the ambience. It's so refreshing and homely. The staffs are very prompt and helpful. The location is a bit tricky. In a place where there are so many cafes this place holds its head high. The food is great and has lots of variety

Went to MUD with one of my best buddies. An awesome place if someone wants to just relax and hangout and maybe recapitulate some fond memories over a cup of tea/coffee. Food is good, price is legit, the staff there r courteous and they just leave u alone. We sat there for 3 hours over a plate of momo nd beverages.<br/><br/>Also it is the place where Debabrata Biswas used to live, that carries a different meaning altogether for a Rabindrasangeet lover like me.<br/><br/>Keep it up MUD!!!

The place is lovely, cozy. Has a old zamidar bengali bari look to it. We ordered two shakes and both of them were amazing. The quantity was good too.

The only thing i liked there was the decoration. We ordered Sandwich, kitkat shake and Mojito. Shakes are not at all good. Sandwich i can rate 5/10.
Rishideep Roy
Loved this place! Was recommended by a friend who is a lover of Tagore songs. But even otherwise it’s a great cozy place right at the heart of hustle and bustle of south kolkata. I would especially recommend the masala fries with Kasundi, along with masala cola. They are the perfect accompaniment to George da’s voice and the chitchats.
Srijani
you can locate this place just beside manyavar store at gariahat. The decoration is so nostalgic and it will remind you of bengalis old adda zone. Radindra sangeet was playing in background. I ordered chicken momo and chicken and mayo sandwich. It took so long to serve the momo that i had to cancel the order. Sandwich was good but no upto the mark.<br/>price 131 (with tax)<br/>taste 3/5

Every time I have visited this place, I have been blown back by one factor which is the courteousness of the staff. Right from the person who'll usher you in to your server....everyone is very polite and the servers are thorough with their albeit limited set of items on the menu.<br/>Right beside Sreeleathers, you might or might not be able to catch a glimpse of a hoarding displaying the name of this cafe.<br/>Now coming to the cafe. A very aantel/intellectual atmosphere is what you'll find inside. Some people(like most of my friends) are unable to soak in this aantel (intellectual) spirit which is why I'm unable to visit this place as often as I would want to. Very reasonably priced, this place offers basic finger food and a host of beverages(both hot and cold).<br/>Certain things to try out would be club sandwich, fish finger, cheese/chicken omelette and you can team that up with tea or any type of coffee of your choice.
The Foodicted Bong
The cafe is located near Triangular Park (just beside Manyavar). This two storey building which is now converted into Mud Cafe, belonged to singer Debabrata Biswas. If you're Rabindra Sangeet lover then this is a perfect place for you. They have a nice collection of various flavours of tea for selling purposes. They also sell music CDs, coffee mugs, story books, junk jewellery etc. The staffs are very cordial. Prompt service. It was a great experience. The place is absolutely amazing with a great ambience. The food quality as well as the prompt service is also worth mentioning. We had mixed sauce pasta, chicken sandwiches and chocolate mousse of which I loved the pasta the most. This place also has a good collection of various flavors of tea and some junk jewellery as well. Totally loved it!!<br/>

Went to this place before also, but didn't specifically wrote any reviews, but yesterday again went to this place with Anujit Singh, in the evening.<br/><br/>Coming to the ambience : Cosy, comfortable, small joint with two seperate seating arrangements, one in the ground-floor & the other one is upstairs. Combining both the arrangements it can accomodate approximately 20-25 people at a time.<br/><br/>Last time we preferred to sit on the ground-floor section, but this time went to the upstairs, which is obviously better than the ground-floor section.<br/><br/>Last time & this time also, we never found this place to be called as 'crowded', rather you can actually spend some quality time with your closed ones here. So, ambience-wise this place is highly recommended!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/><br/>Now the FOOD : Last time we ordered "Fish & Chips" (⭐️⭐️⭐️) & Mango Shake with Ice-Cream (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) obviously based on zomato recommendations & reviews!!<br/><br/>This time we ordered, Grilled MuD Sandwich & Cappuccino. Sandwich was nothing great, normal, only the chicken in it had some black pepper flavour, which we liked the most, otherwise it was a normal sandwich, so I'll give it⭐️⭐️ (considering the price they are charging)<br/><br/>& Cappuccino was like as usual, so it'll will get ⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/><br/>Overall, it was nothing great, but Good, the USP of this joint according to me is it's ambience!! & I am surely going to visit this place again in near future!!<br/><br/>

It's a hidden gem, a cosy, quaint cafe which has a good selection of snacks and beverages both hot and cold. The décor too is good with a homely feeling. The staff are courteous and service too is reasonably fast. So this is the place to go to if one wants to chill over a cup of tea with friends or even alone for there is that melodious music that is played continually to add to your happy experience here...🙂

This is a cozy cafe at triangular park, and if you have interest on rabindra sangeet then this is the best place for you to sit and chat as they play those old songs. I visited this place several times. The best dish of this place is mud cake. One must try this. Hot cake with chocolate sauce is just mouth watering. They serve very good darjeeling tea. The sandwiches are ok, but cheese chicken omelette is really nice. You can feel the taste of cheese and chicken separately that made the dish special. The chicken wings are normal like other places. It's a good place if you like non crowded place.

This is a cafe that can be best described as a hidden gem. Located behind manyavar it is a very cozy 3 storied cafe. Having visited this place many a times, some of the signature dishes you should definitely try if you visit this place are the<br/><br/>MUD Sandwich full of chicken and eggs and cheese and mayo ,<br/><br/>The cappuchino very well made,<br/><br/>the Darjeeling green tea,<br/><br/>and the chicken wings, newly introduced. The wings can be made better according to me. Overall a ver pocket friendly and cozy cafe appropriate for spendong some time with your loved ones.<br/><br/>#recommended

My favourite eatery in South Kolkata ...it's cozy decor and choice of music :)<br/>The residential address of sinher George biswas ( Debabrata biswas) is one of the most soothing places for a rabindrasangeet lover :) the staffs are polite and the price if pocket friendly ,the sandwiches are to die for :) keep going.<br/>

It's a small cafe situated beside manyavar, opposite to city style... Though the cafe has a very narrow entrance so people might miss the place at first... The house where the cafe is now situated belonged to Tagore song maestro Debabrata Biswas that is the reason why this cafe use to play different rabindrasangeet... It has a very cozy decor and stuffs are courteous and attentive... We had Chicken Sandwich, French Fries and cappuccino... Food was good and not pocket pinching... I already went there thrice would love to visit again... As it's a place to quickly catch up your friends for adda...
Banhi Sarkar
This is my top preference when it comes to an affordable place to spend time with friends and family or even just by yourself. With a homely atmosphere and very courteous staff, the food here will remind you of home and isn't very much on the steeper side. The mud cake is indeed a mention worthy choice and so is their chicken and cheese omelette. Definitely try it out if you haven't already.

This cafe is located in gariahat. Since the entrance is small it's little bit difficult to locate. It has sufficient sitting arrangement and ambience is also very sophisticated accompanied by soft Bengali music. Staffs are very polite and offers prompt service. Food is very good. We tried pasta and mud special sandwich. Both were upto mark. The drinks were also very refreshing. They also provides book for reading and cups, sarees, etc. for sale.

Food is pretty good. staffs are polite but the service is not that quick. Their speciality the chocolate mud cake and grilled mud sandwich is definitely worth a try. Also the fish fingers and the oreo and KitKat shakes. I have been there thrice. This place gives you comfort. perfect place to hang out with your loved ones.

This quaint cafe has been a favourite of my family. Whenever we crave some chai pe charcha, this is the place we go to. The ambience is calm, the decor is charming and the place has an aura that will attract every Bengali, who is fond of adda, irrespective of age. The food, no doubt, is great. Be it with the Darjeeling tea, the club sandwich, the fish chop, the fish finger or anything really, MUD won't disappoint you.

Such a pretty, warm and cozy cafe brimming with bangali-aana!!! The decor and ambience is really beautiful! The food too is good and at reasonable rates.
Sakura Koner
This is a quaint cafe with a very pretty decor, books and some jewellery too for sale. Food is pretty good and prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and efficient. The staff is very polite. This place gives very ethnic vibes which is really rare nowadays.
Rajat Chakraborty
The place has a very good ambience but the food menu can be better. If you are a sucker for old bangla songs, a lazy evening, some adda and a cup of coffee, this is your place.
Sayon Rakshit
It's a nice cafe cum boutique situated near triangular park. We had kitkat shake which was really tasty and mud special grill sandwich which tastes nice too.
Shromona Chakraborty
This place is a gem in disguise. Very cool and calm place. Their speciality the chicken mud sandwich and mud cake is definitely worth a try. You'll love the triple layer of the sandwich.<br/>Chicken mud Sandwich ₹165/-<br/>Coffee ₹95/-<br/>Also they have included chicken wings ₹140/-<br/>Definitely will visit them soon.

Firstly decor is one of my favourite it is comfy and cozy. It really feels like home in there. It's very much pocket friendly. Its one of my hangout spot. Food is good. Totally recommended folks.

My friend recommended this place... went there today on the new year's eve. Such a lovely place with homely environment. Sweet, soothing bengali songs were playing at the background... Visit was very peaceful. We ordered Chicken Sandwiches. First of all I liked their plating. Sandwiches were cut into 4 pieces and served with chips along with ketchup and mustard sauce... It genuinely tasted delicious... service was also good... gonna visit again 😊😊

This place is located in triangular park, just beside the showroom of Mohey. The atmosphere over there is very melodious. Songs of the famous Rabindra Sangeet singer Debabrata Biswas is played all day. It is aesthetically decorated with paintaings, books and showpieces. One can even buy those books, handlooms and croceries which they put up. The grilled chicken mud sandwich and mutton ghugni is quiet good over there. The sandwich is cheesy, stuffed with egg and chicken and is quiet filling. Mutton pieces were shredded over ghugni. It was very tasty. These two dishes are very much available in the cafe. The waiters over there are very cooperative. I loved both the food and atmosphere.

Beautiful and cozy cafe.. The egg n chicken sandwich we had there was really tasty..prices are reasonable.. Location is great..<br/>Recommended 😊<br/>

I have been there twice. What this place mainly gives you is comfort. You can sit and talk to your friends in comfortable chairs. They were having Rabindra Sangeet on in a very light note. The place will give you the happy vibes to be a Bengali. They have few varieties of food but the taste if each and every dish will steal your heart. We had Grilled Mud sandwich which has two layers in it, one is chicken with mayonnaise and another one is of egg. They served it with potato chips. We also tried Mutton Kosha with rumali roti which tasted awesome. The Oreo and Kitkat milkshakes were also good. It is a perfect place to hang out with closed ones in peace.

This cafe has the home like atmosphere and charm. Located in Triangular park, this cafe is very pocket friendly compared to other cafes located in that area. One can have their quality time with close ones and can listen to Rabindra Sangeet playing in the background. Also, this cafe is cosy and comfy. Also, one can shop Tee's, Earrings and mugs there.<br/><br/>We Ordered -<br/>Cappuccino And Chicken Pasta In White Sauce.<br/><br/>The Cappuccino was served with two biscuits also, and that gained our attention because hardly any cafe provides biscuits anymore with tea/coffee.<br/><br/>The Chicken pasta was enough for two but I guess, the salt was less. Though, the sauce was blended well so it tasted good enough.<br/><br/>Would love to visit here again. 💖<br/><br/>
Aheri Bhattacharyya
Its located at triangular park. The residence of Debabrata Biswas has been turned into this cute-little cafe. Hot chocolate is a must try, and they and this heart with the chocolate syrup. Chicken pasta is so-so. Sandwiches over here are up for a good try. Ambience is very subtle.
B. Roy
Ordered two types of sandwiches... chicken sandwich and cheese chicken sandwich. There is scope for improvement as the chicken stuffing as well as the consistency of the cheese were too insufficient and the sandwiches were extremely dry
Dibyendu Samadder
Simple small and cozy restaurant. Not big enough to handle a crowd so might be hard to get a seat during any holiday or festival. You can have a seat in the groud floor or the 1st floor. Saw this special feature in this restaurant only, that is they have a call button in the 1st floor room so that by pressing it u can call the service persons from the ground floor.<br/>Food is ok and so is the price. Nice place for chit chats.
Animikh Sengupta
Awesome place with nice ambience. You'll always find legendary singer Debabrata Biswas's song being played (as this place happens to be his house only). Their 'Fish N Chips' item is just too good, the beverages were equally good. Service was very prompt and good, courteous staffs, nice decor & guess what we also got a complimentary chocolate cake as it was Halloween. A place one must visit.

Visited such a wonderful cafe for the first time... Such a delight to have the dessert delicacies.. Hope to visit this place soon wd my friends again in future...

A two tier setting in gariahat<br/>Offers good food at a reasonable price<br/>We ordered chicken white sauce pasta<br/>Chicken and cheese sandwitch<br/>Mudcake(highly recommended)<br/>The behaviour of the staffs was really good..<br/>All over a good experience<br/>
Aranya The Nomad
I was there for a bussiness meeting. So our order was quite simple.<br/>Cappuccino and Chicken Tikka Sandwich.<br/>Both of the items were superb.<br/>Till date, I have experienced that much aromatic and smooth cappuccino really very few times.<br/>The Chicken Tikka Sandwich was also very much tasty with that much stuffing.<br/>But the best part about the cafe is its ambience. Rabindrasangeet, dim lights, photographs everything were just perfect to make one happy.<br/><br/>I am giving the five stars for ambience, food, stuff and the all..<br/><br/>Hope to visit again.
Debayan Nag
Well this place has always been one of my favourites. You just sit and chill and munch on these snacks..Enjoy the laid back ambience of the cafe.
Sabyasachi Basu
The rating is entirely for the ambience. The menu isn't extraordinary, and I'm especially angry that what they called filter coffee was not even close to it, in fact it tasted a lot like bland nescafe without milk or sugar; that too at 160 for two cups. But not every cafe is at Debabrata Biswas' home, so that's there.
Abhraneil Basu
Pure ethnic feel.<br/>Sonia the food.<br/>Snacks are amazing.<br/>So is the service.<br/>Feels like home.<br/>Try out the ' three course'<br/>Snacks ,main ,nd juices.

For very long this place was there in my wishlist as I heard a lot about it but was very disappointed after visiting it. Very ordinary cafe in terms of food quality and decor and price is okaish. They have a section for handcrafts which are for sales, those are not even attractive.
Arnab Ray
Small but decent and presentable cafe with nostalgic ambiance.Staffs are friendly and humble.Food is amazing. Its absolutely pocket friendly.
Subhadip Chatterjee
Mud near Triangular Park is a small cafe with two tier seating arrangements and offers a nostalgic ambience where the evergreen numbers of Debabrata Biswas set the mood. Apart from that, it's a very ordinary food joint where the sandwich and shakes are just of average quality and the celebrated Mud pie cake also fails to keep a mark as it lacks any signature taste or flavour. Service and price tag are decent. Last but not the least,a handicraft stall in the cafe is a bonanza for the concerned individuals.
Yuvraj Gupta
All the peoples from the late 80 would find this place classically of their type. The ambience meets everything which will make you feel as soon as you'll enter this place as if you've been back to your old days. And especially to all of my Bong friends out there, a nice Rabindra Sangeet will be playing in the background. Except for the A/C everything looks vintage.<br/>Now about the food which is served very nicely and the texture is wonderful and the beverages are also a all-rounder, good in looks and taste. A must visit place for Calcuttians.😉
Bidisa Barnwal
The kitkat shake was just not upto mark, with late service. The material used was giving bitter taste instead of the choco taste and the price was not validating the quality of food.
Tamal Das
KitKat shake was worst I have ever try..<br/>And the cold coffee was very bad.. home made coffee is much better.. very bad experience.. i don't want to come here again.. price is reasonable but but taste is not so good as expected..

It's a cozy place with average foods . I found nothing extraordinary in this place wether it's food or ambience . This place for very long was in my wishlist because of their "mutton phuchka" , but unfortunately it was not unavailable. I visited twice but they never able to provide me with "mutton phuchka".<br/>#Highly disappointed!!!<br/>

Visited this outlet a few days ago.<br/>The decor is good. An old library sort of ambience.<br/>But the food we ordered was greatly disappointing in terms of quantity and quality.<br/>We had taken Chicken Mud balls, Chicken White Sauce Pasta and Hawaiian Chicken Salad.<br/>The salad was still better but the rest were not good.<br/>Expected better from a cafe with good rating.

Never had I imagined that a small & quaint place like this could offer so much decorated with literature word of Ravindranath Tagore along with calm Ravindra sangeet <br/>This place stands out from rest of the cafes <br/>It’s more like a comfort zone where you would love to get nostalgic <br/>The friendly service that this cafe provides with its efficient staff makes your order time minimum <br/>And <br/>The food is amazing too<br/>Regardless what you order they remain consistent, my fav food to this place varies every time<br/>The last that I tried was mustered chicken with cold coffee with ice cream didn’t let me down<br/>Over all this place deserves a thumbs up for its consistency and comfort <br/>Pocket pinch ₹300 - ₹450

If you love the work of Tagore as much as I do then this is just the place for you. Mud has always been my go to place whenever I needed a relaxing time away from the frenzied city life. The melodious tunes of rabindra Sangeet and the friendly behavior of the staff is like add on. My all time favorite has been their fish and chips, mud special sandwich and cold coffee. Definitely one of my favorite places in town.
Oh Goody
The place is quite spartan, it's basically inside an old building in which someone placed a few tables and chairs. There was awful bawling/groaning music coming out of the speakers when I went (old Bengali songs, I think) which really made the place feel more awful than it is - felt like someone's dying!  The sandwich I ordered tasted great, but the portions were quite small for the price, I felt (and for some reason, they gave a sauce consisting of tomato sauce *mixed* with kasundi, which was quite peculiar - the kasundi does not go with the sandwich!) To sum up, *if* I ever go back there again, I'll order something else, and I have to somehow make sure that that awful music is switched off!

It is loacted beside the Manyavar outlet, gariahat and on the opposite side of City Style.<br/><br/>This cafe is decent and presentable. It gives good vibes of 90's. Rabindra Sangeet are being played in the background music which is delightfully. This place is for every age group.<br/><br/>The staffs are friendly and helpful. They even owe up to their mistakes. And even ask, if they would change the dish or how can they rectify their mistakes. They are very humble.<br/><br/>Their are Bengali books written by different authors, which are present on the shelves for sale and there is another section were you can purchase hand made bags and jewellery.<br/><br/>The food here is just mindblowing. If you visit this place please try out the Panner Tikka Sandwich. I'm in love with their sandwich. It has an awesome flavour.<br/><br/>Highly Recommended.
