Review Haji Saheb - Kolkata (Calcutta)

On 16th December me and my friend and his mom and my dad went to Big Bazaar, Gariahat for my 36th Birthday 🥳🎉 shopping my birthday which is on 27th December 2023. My friend gifted me in advance. After that I was feeling very hungry so we all decided to go to Haji Saheb, Park Circus Area for the 2nd time ever within 7 years since the year 2016. So my friend ordered 1 Chicken Biryani for Rs. 260/- and 1 Chicken Chaap for Rs. 220/- and 8 Tandoori Roti for Rs. 30/- each and 1 Chicken Tangri Butter Masala for Rs. 340/- with salad Rs. 60/- each 2 plates. The quality and quantity was enough for 1 person and the decoration and ambience was amazing 😍 with friendly staffs as well. Thank you so much Haji Saheb for making my our day amazing 😍.

Good restaurant to try non vegetarian food, Mugali, tandoori special dishes. Briyani is best with awesome taste but served without any raita or curry. Firni tastes good in sweet. Good family restaurant. Vegetarian options also available

I was on a official tour, not of much knowledge about the restaurant here in Kolkata, so I asked the cab driver for the good restaurant for biryani, he suggested me this place, I ordered chicken biryaniI and believe me, the biryani was delicious. the biryani was not that oily with right promotion of masala in it. The long basmati rice, absolutely chicken leg piece with proper masala marination, chicken was soft and tendered and it was just tasting so good. The quantity was also good. I ordered biryani from here. It was delicious. No side dish needed, the food was not that oily too. The meat was well cooked. Now it's in my favourite's list.

This is one of my favorite places which I would like to visit for my love for mughlai n tandoori dishes. The service, food quality and food portions are pretty good and can serve two persons easily. The mutton nalli kebab which I tried for first time was soft like hell well cooked. Same for murgh malai kebab. Tasted too good. Specially for those people's who like less spicy and flavour of malai with a little sweetness. I always prefer ordering the special biryani whether in chicken or mutton. It has two pieces of meat, one potato and one egg with enough rice for being shared among too. I requested them for good and soft meat pieces which was taken care of well by the persons serving us. Price is worth the quality and quantity of food served. So I rate it 4.5/5 for food and service. But for ambience I would rate it 3/5 since it like gets a bit messy and like noisy when crowded. I prefer a rather calm atmosphere. I even asked them for a place in their first floor, which was not listened to and they gave the excuse that it was not open which was not true. You must understand that when people come to your place they may have past memories or particular choice of ambience. Hope this may be looked for in future.

Food was good. Service was pretty fast. Waiters were polite. Single washroom for both Men and Women. Food is HALAL, environment is good for kids and senior citizens.

One of the highly recommended places for good mughlai food. I went here after getting a lot of recommendations about this place. This place lives upto all its popularity. Although I must say I got a very good review about galouti kabab and so I tried it was average. It was not bad but I had some pretty good galouti kababs in kolkata which is in another level. Except of that other dishes were very tasty. Specially the biriyani was super tasty. Also the raita.

Experienced the signature starters "Bhatti ki Bhatti" and the very famous "Mutton Nalli Kebab"...It was heavenly delicious and has the ability the to give you an instant foodgasm ...The smoky meat of the both the dishes has the perfect aroma , the spicky kick and satisfaction Index which can fill your mughlai craving in no time....in the list , we got Chicken Rawalpindi , Keema Kulcha and many more which was equally awesome...We wash down the meaty heaviness with Pina Colada , Masala Cold drink and ended our meal with the awestruck Firni , Jangal me Mangal & chocolate ice cream....For me , it's a must visit if you are a fan of mughlai cuisine....

Pathetic biryani Tasted like as if it was cooked two days back, and when i tasted it. It was yuck !! When asked why is the biryani tasting so bad, I got the reply from waiter that the Chef is saying 'Biryani toh thik hai" I wouldn't recommend anyone Arsalan is the best !!

So my friends decided to give me a biriyani party and we were looking for the restaurant and found haji saheb, it seems to be a promising one. So we visited there and ordered biriyani. Service was quick actually. I loved the smell when the waiter was bringing the biriyanis, it was strong and mouth watering as well. So without wasting further time we started to eat. It was amazing actually. Perfectly cooked everything. A must recommend place.

Well I hadn’t had biryani in a long time. Wanted to eat it at some nice place and I was utterly disappointed by my choice of visiting here. Some guy named Shahab served us the food. You can look at the biryani’s picture, it was like some khichdi. It tasted so bad and they gave us a chicken leg piece like it was half eaten. I will never visit this place again. The best thing about this place is their Rolls. Specially try their Double Chicken or Double Mutton Rolls which are absolutely heavenly. Biriyani is good too and the mutton dishes are Delish as well.

Rumali roti and chicken chap is an awesome combo amd , this combo from here is a heavenly taste! This is like an any day go to dinner thing.

The special Mutton Biriyani was of really good taste but the packaging was a bit issue for me but it's okay as long as the food tastes good and so it did . So a thumbs up for it

Ordered the egg fried rice and chilli chicken combo from Aadab Restaurant, the delivery was fast and the packaging was great.<br/><br/>The combo contained three pieces chilli chicken and huge amount of fried rice (decent for 2 persons). The fried rice was pretty delicious and was well accompanied with the chilli chicken which tasted mouthwatering.<br/><br/>4. Ordered the Chilli Chicken, Egg Chilli Garlic Fried Rice and Momo Combo from New noodle king through Zomato, the delivery was swift and the packaging was excellent. (They even provided a sanitizer)<br/><br/>The combo contained two pieces of chilli chicken which tasted mouthwatering along with a huge quantity of chilli garlic fried rice which tasted delicious followed by one piece momo.<br/><br/>All of the items were pretty delicious.<br/><br/>5. Ordered the Bounce Back Combo Offer from Wow Momo through Zomato, the delivery was fast and the packaging was great. (They even provided a sanitizer)<br/><br/>The combo consisted of Four pieces of Fried Darjeeling Momos, two Chicken Moburgs and two cans of Cold-drinks.<br/><br/>Each of the items tasted mouthwatering. Indeed a great value for money offer.<br/><br/>6. Ordered the egg fried rice with chilli chicken combo along with mixed fried rice and chicken manchurian from Hot Chick through Zomato. Since the restaurant is partnered with Zomato Gold, got the Gold Offer Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Bot the combos came at a cheap cost.<br/><br/>The delivery was swift and the packaging was good. <br/><br/>Both the combos tasted delicious, although we preferred the mixed fried rice combo, more.<br/><br/>7. Ordered Chicken Do Pyaza along with Laccha from Food Express through Zomato, the delivery was quick and the packaging was excellent.<br/><br/>The Laccha paratha along with Chicken Do Pyaza tasted mouthwatering. The chicken do pyaza was chef’s special, the chicken pieces cooked with bell peppers in a spicy masala gave it a great flavour.<br/><br/>8. Ordered my favourite sweet Gulab Jamun to mitigate my sweet cravings during the quarantine period from Maa Bhabatarini Sweets, the delivery was swift, packaging great and the gulab jamun were delicious.<br/><br/>9. Ordered my favourite ice cream flavour from Kwality Wall’s through Zomato, the delivery was fast and the packaging cover was great.<br/><br/>Kwality Wall’s Fruit and Nut Tub as usual was wonderful to have during this lockdown to mitigate my sweet cravings.<br/><br/>10. New Sher-e- Punjab is located near the Dunlop Bridge, visited this restaurant a long time back for a friend’s birthday.<br/><br/>The restaurant is pretty spacious, with a big screen at the entrance and the light is quite good. We ordered around six plates of mutton biryani and four plates of chicken tikka masala. The staff service was pretty decent.<br/><br/>The mutton biryani tasted pretty good (could have been better) the preparation of mutton and potatoes dum together with flavoured rice and various masala.<br/><br/>The chicken tikka masala was delicious, presented the tikka kebab in a creamy and thick spicy gravy.<br/><br/>11. Ordered Paratha Combo for dinner from Gopal Bhog through Zomato, the delivery was fast and the packaging was good.<br/><br/>The combo consisted of 3 pieces of paratha and enough proportion of aloo dum for one person, tasted pretty decent.<br/><br/>12. Ordered my favourite breakfast combo from Mousumi’s Kitchen through Zomato, the delivery was quick and the packaging was good.<br/><br/>The combo consisted of six pieces of luchi and aloo chorchori, tasted delicious. Would highly recommend this one.<br/><br/>13. Ordered three chicken biryani from Haji Shaheb through zomato, the delivery was quick and the packaging was great.<br/><br/>The Biryani consisted of a huge piece of chicken (mostly a leg-piece or wing), a big potato and good amount of rice. Tasted pretty decent.

I had tried Chicken biryani from this place.Chicken was juicy and well cooked. Biryani taste was also good. But yes price seemed a bit high.

Situated in park circus below the ajc flyover, Haji Sahab is a nice and elegant family restaurant. <br/>Proper hygiene is maintained and the staff is friendly and approachable.<br/>We ordered chicken cheese kabab , haryali kabab tanndoori chicken, 3 gravies, naan, cheese naan and a mojito.<br/>Starters were great, tender and well prepared. All the gravies, however, had this sweetness which doesn't align with my liking.<br/>Even when we asked for recommendation for a red gravy that would be spicy, it was also on the sweeter side.<br/><br/>I am not sure about another visit here except for trying biryani someday, maybe.

Visited this place quite a few times... I love the service... Staffs are very well behaved... Ambience is bright and beautiful... But they need to work on the quality of the food very much... I have tried the mutton Biriyani from Haji saheb and it was good, oil is very less, good for health not that oily. The restaurant having the most disgusting order processing technique .I ordered 4 Mutton Hyderabadi Biriyani but they deliverd only 1.After contacting the restaurant I came to know that the cook only prepared 1 plate of what I have ordered and the same has been delivered.Later on they accepted their fault and assured me that my remaining bill amount will be refunded.Therfore I would suggest everyone not to order food from Zomato or any other food delivery app from Haji Saheb,Park Circus.

A decent place to grab a plate of biryani. I went on to this place because it was the only one that was empty on a navami night. The problem I had was with the food that was served piping hot(they used the microwave infront of me though).The biryani was lacking flavours and was extra salty for some reason. I would say you can have far better biryani in the same area (if you know what I mean).

The place is very nice and especially the staffs are very courteous... We particularly said if possible give us the leg piece on biriyani which he said he'll try however when the food arrived it was not a leg piece. The staff over there immediately changed and gave us the leg piece which I thought is very nice of them. The food was really tasty and the quantity was good as well.

Ordered mutton biryani and chicken tandoori for lunch. The biryani was well cooked. Mutton piece was big and juicy, it had a big aloo also. The quantity was sufficient for one person.Chicken tandoori was also juicy and had that perfect charcoal aroma. Pocket friendly and zomato delivery was really fast even during this puja time but the delivery boy refused to come to the exact location.

Went there for teachers day's celebration with colleagues.. It's was a treat from our principal to all the teachers..we tried chicken tandoori kabab, lachcha paratha, chicken rezala and mutton biriyani.. All the dishes taste was good, ambience is so pretty in a small place..

The mutton Biryani was light, aromatic and delicious but they did cost us a little too much for green salad. The service was amazing but the interior needs a bit of advancement to it. Over all I liked the place as it serves food that is authentic.

The price are worth the food provided. I ordered Chicken Manchurian, Chicken Reshmi kabab and butter naan. The food was very yummy. Chicken Manchurian was the best. You should try the food from here it's really affordable and tasty.

Extremely disappointed with the overall experience of this place. Me and my girlfriend visited this place yesterday. To be honest they served quite decent food. What totally took us by shock was the waiter who was serving us. The guy was looking at my girlfriend inappropriately for quite sometime, which seemed to be not so shocking in our country now, but this guy went one step above. My gf used her debit card to pay. He noted her name from that(which we actually figured out later), and had the audacity to send a friend request to her on facebook. His name is Shadab Aslam. Requesting the administration to take strict action against this guy as soon as possible, as he is just ruining your years of reputation. Not only did you guys lose one regular customer, but trust me this behavior will not stop if no actions are taken and it will just be absolutely lethal for your business.

Tried Haji Saheb today at a friend's recommendation...their Mutton Biriyani was ample in amount and smelled great but wasn't impressed with the quality of the rice or the Mutton pieces...moreover the ghee/oil whichever they used in the Biriyani cooking wasn't the best quality.

Serves the best biryani in town. My all time calcutta biryani favourite serves in this place with a nice and well behaved staffs. All mughlai items are served best here.

Worst place to dine out with family and friends. No good service at all no one is bothered to attend you and they are totally careless. Food is good though

Went there on a Sunday afternoon, the place is quite soothing. Ordered 2 chicken Hyderabadi Biryanis with green salad. The Biryani was sufficient in quantity. The service offered was appreciated. the taste of the Biryani was awesome. হাজী সাহেব পার্কসার্কাসে অবস্থিত অসাধারণ একটি জায়গা, চারিদিকটা খুব সুন্দর প্রত্যেকটা লোকের ব্যবহার খুব ভালো খুব সুন্দর হবে জায়গাটি সাজানো আমরা অর্ডার করেছিলাম এক প্লেট ভেজ বিরিয়ানি এক প্লেট চিকেন বিরিয়ানি ও এক প্লেট চিকেন কোরমা এছাড়া স্যালাড এবং গোলাপ জামুন চিকেন কোরমা সাথে একটি ডিম দেওয়া হয় এবং চিকেন কোরমা টি খুবই সুস্বাদু বিরিয়ানি অন্যান্য জায়গা থেকে অনেক বেশি ভালো খেতে এবং এক কথায় সেরা গোলাপজাম যেন আজও মুখে লেগে আছে
