Review Sarson 360 - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Prasun Banerjee
Renovated a closed restaurant and built a surprisingly new place to dine out with family and friends. Food is average and price is very moderate. It is very spacious and very well lit. The staff is pleasingly courteous and will go all out to meet your demands. As it is on the first floor, and does not have a lift, elderly people might have trouble negotiating the stairs.

It has gained individual identity by shifting out of South City to this place. The buffet spread with Indian, Chinese, Italian thrown in is awesome. Yeh, one gets value for money. I loved the non veg starters.

Hi, I have visited the South City outlet 3/4 times and now want to go to the new outlet. It seems the phone number is wrong...I am unable to connect. Can anybody please share the correct phone no. of sarson 360?

I went to the Purna Das road outlet on a quiet weekday afternoon. Service was prompt and very good. We ordered basic food of Tandoori Roti, mixed Vegetable and Dal. The Roti was oven fresh, the vegetable dish was tasty but cooked in less spice and relatively less oil as it seemed. The ambiance of the restaurant was spacious and decent for a family dinner with comfort. The only disconnect was blaring heavy metal music in the afternoon completely out of sync with the occasion and food and loud to the ears. the other area was the free flowing soft drink on offer where the soft drink did not have enough fizz, seemed it was being offered from a tap

went here when the buffet price was only INR 455 or so,the ambience is great and so is the interior decor... The staff is well-mannered and amicable.. All the items were great and nicely cooked, there were many items indeed and each of them tasted good.. loved the place :) Will visit again!

Thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the food on offer, especially the buffet. They taste like leftover pre heated stuff and is just so tasteless.. Sarson, south city, was one of my favourite Indian places snd was a regular there. But this new place is just a blot on its illustrious past avatar!!
By chance tried this place for a change and the experience was disappointing. We were the only customers there for dinner. Place is huge, Decor is well furnished but food quality does not match the ambience. Average quality food.

nothing very special at all. they have changed location from south city mall to here. but food has been the same. all general stuffs that you get at every place. otherwise, nice staff and service.

Went there last weak with my friend. It is situated at Golpark near Nava Nalanda school. They serve both Indian and Chinese and have both the option of buffet and a-la-carte. We went for a-la-carte. First entering the resturant the decor will surely impress you. The interior is very classy and sophisticated. Sadly they had some kitchen issues that day and was not able to serve chinese. Coming to the food price of the food is very reasonable and quantity is good and quality is average. But the service should be more prompt and fast, it is really poor.

Went there twice with colleagues for a get together and this place is a hit or a miss. The food is nothing to write about. Limited options for vegetarians. Some options served were good, some okay.

Finally managed to visit the place yesterday.
This is situated in Hindustan Park, the restaurant on the first floor was situated here. A very beautiful restaurant with huge and comfortable seating arrangement. The buffet spread is really beautiful. The starters have a fish,a chicken,a paneer and a aloo dish. Each and everyone of the item is really mind blowing. The main course is decent. The fish and chicken are made to perfection. The desserts had malpua with rabri, mihidana and caramel custard. All of them were good. Plus ice-cream. What else can one ask for? All this for 399 thanks to Nearbuy voucher.
Loved the place. Good service. Courteous staff.

Kudos to the management.

Nice place for a quite weekend dinner with friends & family.
Food is good & the ambience is also nice.
Nice front place for parking
Recommended dishes will surely be fish items

Another good place if you like some serious good food, i don't like the buffet though but individual ordered food are awesome, specially their serving style and the cutlery are all unique.. Over all a very good place

It's located near to the Golpark Petrol Pump at the Purnadas Road. Interiors are neatly decorated. Ambiance is warm and so are the staffs. They give attention to each and every guests. We had to wait outside a little because of the rush at the lunch time but they wasted no time to call us back as soon the tables became vacant. We decided to go for their buffet. The price of the buffet was kept on the lower side as this one was totally a new outlet a few months back after they shut down their part at the South City Mall. Quality of food is good. Number of starters are served are little less I felt if compared to their former outlet. Salad were too good specially the ones which had the pastas and the macaronis. Chicken items in the main course was well-cooked and had the right amount of spices in it. Paneer was a bit more spicy than what it should have been and the mutton was a bit more hard and smelly and not that much soft and succulent. On that day they served mostly Indian desserts but now a days I have heard they serve all kinds of them. Nolen Gurer Rosogolla was good and juicy and so was the Kalojam.

What we ordered - Regular Buffet

LOCATION - 4.5/5
FOOD QUALITY - 4/5
HOSPITALITY - 4/5
DECOR AND AMBIANCE - 4/5
HYGIENE - 3.5/5
VALUE FOR MONEY - 4/5

very disappointing experience. they take a long time to prepare the food. when the food reaches the table it is cold. the items are neither fresh nor god in taste. the biriyani and fried-rice tasted the same. however they have good kebab and bharta!

I bought a voucher for a Friday night buffet at Sarson 360 from Nearbuy. The restaurant is situated on Purnadas Road, near Golpark Petrol Pump. The restaurant looks classy from outside and the interiors do justice to the up-market feel. They have ala-carte and buffet available for both lunch and dinner.
Now let's jump into the main part: the food. As per the voucher, the items on offer were 2 non-veg starters, 3 Non-veg main courses and similar treatments with veg counterparts. The starters were some spicy fried potato, a paneer kebab, mini fish fry and a chicken tikka. The potato was nice, crunchy, spicy. The paneer was stiff. The chicken tikka was ok; the star of the show were the fish fry. Bite sized pieces of Beckti thinly coated and perfectly fried. It was yummy.
The main course had 2 non-veg items only, though the voucher said that there will be 3. There was an Indian chicken preparation (it was quite rich and spicy, but somehow there was something amiss). Plus the fact that the chicken wasn't boneless wasn't very pleasing. The other non veg item was Hunan fish. The quality of the fish was good, but the preparation was bland. The accompanying veg noodles didn't help much. The veg items, on the contrary were better. The spicy dum aloo was really good and the creamy paneer gravy was tasty. However, if there was one item in the main course that stood out, it was the Thai green curry with vegetables. It was subtly balanced in flavours and went well with steamed rice.
The dessert section was simple: had an icecream, rosogolla, gulab jamun and caramel custard. I tried the caramel custard and it was very good; much like my mother used to make back in the day.
The food was ok; but the problem was the service. It was painfully slow. They were severely understaffed; each and every refill on the buffet table would require atleast 10/15 minutes of waiting time and multiple follow ups with the two servers who were having a hard time serving the customers.
The price of the buffet (for Nearbuy customers) was INR 399 inclusive of taxes and it's a good deal for a Friday night, if you are ok with limited offerings in the non-veg section.

Horrendous place ever visited as i have been invited by my family member for a dinner and was shock n suprised by the kind of service and quality of the food and all & above that the kind of serving plate they are using seems like they have not washed it before and previously served food was been able to seen.
Not the right place for a proper food and if u do not wanna spoil ur mood then do not visit..!

Sarson 360 was a second visit yesterday..last time visited wen it was there n southcity..loved d food...we ordered butter naan, lahori murg and kadai murg...kadai murg was of great taste compare to that of the lahori murg..reasonable price..the only suggestion will be if the no.of staff u can increase it would be better

This is located just near Golpark petrol pump. The ambience of this place is very impressive. 5/5. The food is ok nothing special. They really need to improve a bit more. They had very few staffs and the service was quite slow. You expect a bit more when you see a restaurant claiming to serve world cuisine. 3/5 on service and 3/5 on food. They had only Indian and Chinese cuisines on offer while the menu displayed on Zomato shows so many options....

I wrote a review of Sarson (South City) a couple of years back. Food was nice, the place was very well decorated, overall it was a decent experience.

Sarson 360 is apparently the same franchise on Purnadas Road.

Interior still remains marvelous and grand, but, food quality has deteriorated a bit. It was a stock dinner buffet served with a constrained spread.

For a family of 4 (one teenager and one toddler), they decided full buffet charges for 3 of us and 99/- for the toddler, which was perfect.

Starters were served on the table and included Fish in butter garlic sauce, chicken tikka, chilli potato wedges and malai paneer tikka. Fish was well fried but, the preparation was bland with no significant flavor. Mostly due to the lack of salt and a little more garlic was needed. Chicken tikka was ok, so was the chilli potato wedges. But, malai paneer was dry and the paneer did not look like it was high quality / full cream etc …

For main course, the spread had rice, kali daal, veg thai green curry, chicken biryani, chilli garlic fish, rajasthani laal maas, boondi raita. Salad had pasta salad, onion, green chilli and lemon.

Dessert section had mango mousse, hot gulab jamun, rasmalai and chocolate ice cream.

3 such buffet, plus 99/- for the kid and 2 thumbs up cost us 2535/-, which was pretty steep in my books.

Each buffet was 595/- plus taxes.

In comparison with the old Sarson, things have definitely have gone south. Also, with buffets becoming a staple in South Calcutta, they need to pull up their socks to attract more patrons.

Well Sarson 360 is very different from the Sarson which was is South City Mall
the preparation was good consider almost home made food with less spices.
The buffet variety is not much to choose from
Overall the old buffet ambience is missing
With a price of 495++ yes you can try but satisfaction not guaranteed

Visited the place once. Interiors are good but food was not upto the mark.. The staffs were not amiable.. The starters tasted really good...

Ambience 3. Food 3.5. Variety 2.5. Went for a dinner buffet. Got a deal from Nearbuy. The spread was pretty small. But taste was good. The desert selection was not tht good apart from the rasmalai. Overall a little above average experience.

Took out my friends for lunch on my birthday. Had purchased vouchers from near buy. We had opted for the non veg Indian meal. Reading the previous reviews, I was a little skeptical whether everyone would like the meal or not, but turns out I was worrying unnecessarily. :) This place is located in the lane right beside gol park petrol pump. The entrance is neatly done. The interiors is beautiful.. The glass windows overlook the street which makes the dining experience even better. The staff was well behaved and helpful but a little lost at times. Coming to food, we were given soup ( chicken sweet corn), starter: chicken malai kabab and 1 more (I absolutely forget the name. Sorry! :p), main course: fish/ butter chicken, naan/ roti/ rice, dal: dal makhni/ yellow dal, dessert: caramel custard. Barring the rice which wasn't well cooked, everything else on point. In spite being of a huge group there was no space crunch whatsoever. The place is spacious, well lit. A good experience indeed.

I wudnt even rate dis place a zero..d entrance n d interiors were decent..but dats where d gud experience ended..there was no cold water for a summer evening..there no ice either..d staff were clueless about everything..v ordered for veg kabab but even after 45 mins dere was no sign of food..finally aftr asking d waiter abt d starter he had nothing to say..finally v left d place widout food hence spoiling our experience.. I'm sure d place will not run for long if d attitude remains d same..

I have never had buffet before, as I always had that notion of LIMITATION when it comes to buffet but this time I gave it a try although we sorted out few options beforehand but we mutually agreed upon Sarson 360 as the name was giving me an Idea of typical Punjab :) I liked the ambience at a glance. Well lit, Punjabi style wooden furniture and the buffet table. In the starter they had complimentary drink Jal-Jeera with mint. Then Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Fish Sesam crust fry and Spicy Potato fry.. I simply loved all of them each and every item were different in terms of flavours, textures and definitely taste 10/10. Now in the main course I found them little haphazard Chicken Biriyani, Rogan Josh (way different than authentic Rogan Josh), some italian salad, chinese dishes were there. In dessert ice-cream, baby gulab jamuns and sandesh were there and I didn't try any of them. I opted for Chicken Biriyani and Rogan Josh. I think chef is not very good at Mughlai and Kashimiri cuisines. Biriyani was very ordinary and Rogan Josh was disastrous they made it "Bengali Pathar Mangsho" Rogan Josh is always thin Curry and the RED OIL should float over the surface of the curry. Main course was a let down for us hence, 4/10. The guy who was serving us (forgot to ask his name) was trying hard to satisfy my all sort of food (they were serving) related questions :D They do have a bar counter set up which serves Jal-Jeera and water now hehe.. :D Fun filled "FooDay" it was though :)

To start with, when you enter this place, feels great....street corner location and a good layout.....well lit, good ambience....et all, so impressions are good at first

We decided on the buffet, the starters were good, they didn't go overboard with the taste and masala.... it was actually very well made especially the chicken

However, truth be said, the food was quite abysmal, a total disaster, the variety was not good too.

Compared to this, the buffet options in some of the other places I visited are way better....wouldn't rate it anymore than 3/5 (especially when the main course deserved no more than 2/5)

Went for a buffet dinner but wasn't much impressed with the food spread. Kolkata being a place for food lovers I expected a bit more. The people were very polite though. Ambience vise quite a decent place but a bit cramped up.

Been there on a Friday night and the experience was horrible. The restaurant was packed with people but there was hardly any food on the buffet table. Had some starters and the welcome drink, no main course and no desserts. Waited nearly half an hour for a glass of water. Extremely poor service. Do not recommend.

On the afternoon of Poila Boishak we happened to be near Purna Das Road with some really hungry stomach. After skipping a good amount of Bengali cuisine restaurants due to long queues outside, we were forced to settle for some North Indian lunch for the day.

We headed straight to Sarson 360, located on the same road. Ever since Sarson (South City outlet) has closed, this one is the only proper dine-in restaurant from their franchise. Anyhow, when we entered the restaurant, it was fully empty to our shock. We soon got to know the reason of the emptiness. It was due to some marketing problems that they were forced to start the buffet from 2PM instead of 12 Noon that day. Sarson is famous for buffet, so no one really cares about their à-la-carte due to lack of choices in the menu.

We had to opt for à-la-carte as we were one hour early of their buffet starting time. The starters we choose were Achari Paneer Tikka and Murg Tikka Angare. The promised time for serving starters was 10-15 minutes, but it took almost 30 minutes for them to serve starters.

Achari Paneer Tikka was soft and tender, well marinated in spices, only five pieces however. Murg Tikka Angare had well charred pieces of chicken that would melt in the mouth, super flavourful and well spiced and had a great texture.

Moving on to main course, our order went with Veg. Pulao, Dal Makhani, Paneer Lababdar, Butter Chicken Boneless and some Butter Naan to accompany with. Main course came quicker than we anticipated. Veg Pulao was like plain rice with peas and carrots, no flavour whatsoever, not at all recommended. Dal Makhani was nothing special, just about okay. Paneer Lababdar was again okay but nothing special. It lacked the typical North Indian flavours, paneer were soft but the gravy was too runny. Butter Chicken was the best in the house so far, the chicken pieces were flavourful, of course buttery and the gravy was spot on. Butter Naans were good. Also we had called for Fresh Lime Soda to gulp down everything, it was overly salty.

Overall, the vegetarian section failed to satisfy my tastebuds. Non-veg. items were good, but not one of the best I have had.

Pricing is bound to go higher if you opt for a-la-carte, buffet is reasonable. Cheque for a family of 4 came to ~₹2400 with taxes. Quantity for food is perfect, not too much, not too less. Some items are quite quantitative like Veg. Pulao and even the Butter Chicken had good number of pieces.

Service is below average. There is a serious lack of staff. I could only see 2-3 servers in the whole restaurant and they were busy preparing for the buffet rather than focusing on the tables. They were serving like newbies whereas I think the outlet is now open for what?...a good year or so. Serving time also needs to be improved a lot. Thankfully, the billing procedure was fast.

Ambiance was good, decor was nice but not as expensive as Sarson outlet at South City used to be. Lighting was not dim. Tables and chairs felt a bit cheap, cushion on the chair was not that good. The overall place is not that big with only the first floor serving as the restaurant. There's a big window to give a clear outside view. Buffet area is very small, crowding could be a problem on certain days.

Final conclusion, I had a much better experience at Sarson in South City. So sad it closed. This outlet adds the '360' part to it's name but I don't find any good reason for that. Maybe because it has a continental menu alongside North Indian, but apart from that, no 360 factor. Value of money factor is defeated by the taste and overall service of the restaurant.

Buffet is good here with welcome drink. Ambience is very good. If you are looking for good food with good ambience, go for it.. It is the perfect family restaurant and quite spacious.

It occupies the same space as "The restaurant at the first floor" of purna das road on golpark side, which had recently shut down . The entrace and the decor was really nice with wooden furnitures and an oval window , hence the name 360 going with the degree of view. There was no music and a noisy a.c. which added a lot of boredom to the place. No cold water for a hot summer afternoon, the person however added ice cubes to our glasses of warm water.
Two of us were the only diners and attended by two amateur staff, who doesnot have any clue about the food availability. We had nearbuy vouchers for an indian meal. The menu for deal customers came in laminated sheet of paper with absolutely no choices on food. Pretty disheartening kind of promotional attempt by their management! There was no non veg soup as the cook did not come today. Not sure who cooked the rest for us. Mains just had choice between chicken butter masala or fish tawa masala.Lol.
We had Tomato soup ( tastewise decent), murgh malai tikka (whatsoever) ,dal makhani ( nice) , chicken butter masala ( sub average) , naan ( terrible) , caramel custard ( fine). I am not sure to place this under fine/casual dining , the decor was posh but had paper napkins instead of hand clothes. The entire experience was aweful , and we felt cheated availing the offer.
Sarson 360 ! In case you are not keen to shut down your doors for the second time , better buck up with the service and food , mention your retarded highly restricted menu on the online deal site which says everything is available except prawns , and please store cold water for this tropical weather period. I should have rated you atleast a 2 for putting up the wooden tables and not providing stale food , but every penny we wasted on you held me back . U proved to be absolutely worthless!

Went there a couple of times. Both times opted for the buffet. The buffet spread was amazing. They served Nimbu Pani as welcome drink which was good.
They served 6 types of starters on the table. All of them were equally tasty. In main course They had Mutton Biryani along with other dishes. The main course was just average.
In Desserts. They had four varieties along with ice cream.
The food was good. The staffs were also well behaved and friendly. It's located on the first floor and the ambience was awesome.

Ambience: Good, subtle, spacious, decorated & clean

Food oder to wait time: A lot. Quite frankly, we went there when the number of people were quite low and the time taken to deliver the food was a bit more than usual.

Food taste: nothing out of the box, same as many other restaurants of its category.

Just one things, grilled fish item on a non veg platter has fish bones ?? How and why ? They must change that

As my friend and I walked in this restaurant with high hopes of a great lunch, our expectations were soon shattered. We had a coupon from nearbuy to pay for the meal but the staff were absolutely clueless about it and firmly stated that it was not valid for Sunday. We had called twice before and the receiever of the call had informed us that the coupon was valid till Sunday. As we were already aggravated, the taste of the food was another disaster. The vegetable chow was just boiled noodles sprinkled with a few sightings of vegetable. The Kung pao chicken was bland with a few pieces of chicken swimming in an ocean of tasteless water. On top of this, it took a great load of energy to get the waiters' attention. They seemed in no mood to serve. It was a terrible lunch and huge mood spoiler!

Wonderful lunch at Sarson,

The restaurant manager "Eric" was too good. He is very amiable in nature, helpful and very well behaved. At every point of time he came across and assisted us in having extra dish. This type of response actually makes you feel good and you can again go to this restaurant. Well Eric, you are too good. We would surely visit again. Your hospitality was indeed great. You made our anniversary special. The menu was mouth-watering: (this was on 26th.Jan.)

(1) Three non-veg starters (Fish fry, chicken, mutton kebab)
(2) Mutton Biriyani (Just Awesome !! My wife's favorite)
(3) Chicken kasa
(4) Hakka noodles
(5) Fish in hunan sauce
(6) Two types of veg dal
(7) Nun, kulcha and assorted breads
(8) Greek salad
(9) Russian salad
(10) Assorted vegetables
(11) Soup
(12) Ice cream
(13) Gazar ka halwa
(14) Gulab jam and
(15) Rasgolla

Just cannot move after having so much........
Good atmosphere, people around came from elite society, warm temperature and nice and clean bathroom. Overall it is a good experience.

Visited the place for dinner and had buffet. Food quality is average. Nothing special to write about. The dum biriyani was not good. So was the chicken preparation which was mellow in taste. They were having serious problems in re-filling the starter counters. Among the spread liked the fish in thai curry though the lemon grass proportion was touching the overkill limit. The dessert spread was good. Food quality needs improvement - at the current quality its not worth even for a price of 595 + taxes.

And one more things guys - I noticed you have put three jars beside the aquarium with plants and a fish in each - but in such a way that the fish could not even move - its so cramped with the plants. It may be OK to use them as decoration but at least give the fish a space to swim and move around.

Went there on a Sunday and it was worth it completely. Though the ambience was better in south city mall much more compared to this newly shifted outlet but the experience was quite the same for us. The staffs were good ( could be great, most of them looked worn out and hanging on just for the sake of it) The manager was good and came along to ask about the food which is a nice thing always.
Overall worth the money spent and quite reasonable.

A total waste.... I used to visit this joint at South City Mall (now closed). That was good but this one is too poor. Went for a weekday buffet found Décor is good but we food lovers want tasty food and service from the staffs. Coming to food they have very limited starters 2 non veg & 2 veg. I did not get any mutton or prawn in main dish section, they have only fish taste ok but chicken feels like leftovers from previous days. I requested for ice which very surprisingly refused saying they don't have ice. I was wondering what kind of restaurant is this which does not have ice !!!. In the dessert while choosing ice cream I requested for chocolate flavour. They gave lame excuse like it was not available. I felt amused.Oh I forgot to mention the real shocker .... it was "Flies" in dining tables. The attendants were guarding my table with fly catcher rackets like SPG commando but one of the flies played Hide & Seek with them for long time. This food joint cannot survive for long unless they improve quality & service ASAP.

Went for their weekday lunch buffet with family.

First of all, this place is not at all tricky to locate. Again, thumbs up for the elegant decor and comfortable seating arrangement. And I must acknowledge, staffs were courteous.

Coming to the main part, food, it was a mixed experience for us. While the chicken, paneer and fish starters were excellent to be true, Main course was pretty blunt. Rice, dal and one Thai veg curry were completely tasteless, noodles and the fish preparation saved the day for me. Raita was good. Mutton was properly cooked.
Dessert section lacked variety with only 2 types of ice cream and 2 sweet dishes Mihidana and Kalojam. I got my favourite though- Darshaan with ice cream.

Considering the pocket pinch, it was a decent experience. Would like to try other items from their a-la-carte menu in future.

Good restaurants for hang out with friends family even with your loved ones as well. I have organized a party for my office colleagues which is a great success thanks to Sarson 360. I had taken the buffet option where you get unlimited lime soda. In starter we had chilli panner, staffed aloo, fish fry, chicken tikka kebab. Salad are there two types. In main course they served rice, dal, aloo with shimla mirch, another veg dish which I forgot, then pasta in white sauce and chicken do piaza.noodles and fish with oyester sauce..in desserts they provide baked cham cham, kheer, caramel custard.and ice cream at the end... Long list but tasty food undoubtedly.. Prompt service. We miss mutton dishes in the buffet menu..may be it might be available in weekends.. But must try this... I will definitely visit soon for their mutton dishes...

Hi everyone,

I would like to share my experience with Sarson 360 where I celebrated my son’s 5th Birthday in the evening of 10th January, 2016 with over 70 guests including children. Going by a few reviews of Sarson 360, I was a bit skeptical with the food quality of Sarson 360, albeit I was a regular visitor of Sarson at South City and had absolutely no complaint. I had a word with Parvez (manager of Sarson 360) regarding the same. He rest me assured that the food quality will be better if not same than the previous South City outlet and proved himself worthy on the very day. He allowed me to customize the buffet spread with Mutton Seekh Kebab, Hariyali Chicken Tikka, Batter Fried Fish, Chilli Paneer and Falafel reflecting the starters. All of them were highly soft and delicious and my guests enjoyed every bit of it. The Mutton Biriyani in the main course was awesome and so were the rest of the dishes and nonetheless the dessert spreads. I like fine dining and have dined at most of the Speciality Restaurants in Kolkata but rarely have given any review. I am reviewing this because I was highly confused with a few previous reviews till the occasion. I would like to state here that I override all the food concerns in previous reviews and highly appreciate the food quality, hospitality of the staff as well as the manager. Guys, quality food at affordable prices with humble staff and efficient management; I am highly honest in my review. Very good ambience....
Foods are good
Booked from Groupon for buffet
And got huge discounts
Starters and welcome drink is also good
Ice creams are also good

Well I booked table for 3 from groupon so got a huge discount for buffet lunch. Well the experience was really good. They serve 3 veg and 3 non-veg starters at first. My pick would be the fish fry its different not like the usual fish fry we eat than mutton sheek kebab the chicken starter was also good. In veg rice balls were really good. The thing which I liked was, well you all can say it's really nothing but they were serving unlimited sweet fresh lime water which actually help me eat more. The main course was nothing special but the mutton preparation was really good followed by the fish in white gravy. They served soup also. Had live salad counter, served veg-noodles,rice. In dessert they had one choice of ice cream to choose from 4 different flavors, kalajam, kheer. Friendly staff. Good ambiance. All in all a good experience.

The welcome drink was horrible. Starters were good specially the kababs which was perfectly cooked and the thin crust pizza. Coming to the main course - it was OK . The veg items were good. But the non veg items literally sucked. The chowmein was pale and tasteless.. Biriyani was very average quality. Desserts were OK. Ice cream was not good. However the restaurant has a fantastic ambience. The window side seats are a bonus to this ambience.

When I almost booked from New Delhi and then read the mixed review I was very skeptic and thought will be a waste until I dropped in yesterday night and i was honoured

It's beautiful. Honestly, one of the most amazing places to go. Their food is EXCELLENT. The staff are courteous and the decor is beautiful. They use fresh flowers which are creatively placed all over. It's a huge space and the open area really adds to this place's charms. The food is terrific. The starters are fresh and have a good but small variety. The buffet is great too.

I especially liked the Methi aloo matar and Mutton Rara, something really different. Their Fish batter with salt and Pepper was superb you will definitely love that. Pervez the Manager of Sarson was very helpful

Two Suggestions : Please keep one chicken/mutton and a Fish item in mains like yesterday both were meats instead of fish and one of my family member had toc contend with Veg

Try coming with a large group to enjoy the full course well. The open space also gives enough privacy for romantic dates. The staff is very hospitable.

I wanted to give 5/5 but they should take the above feedback and yes light music was very soothing

Great Place for Buffet Dinner/Lunch. The dishes are well cooked, and there is a lot of variety. Ambience is great but can be improved, no personal sitting area is available. Staffs are friendly and well behaved. Highly recommended.

The food was really good and tasty.
We opted for buffet but the food was served really hot & fresh.
May be the waiting time was little bit on the higher side but overall the quality of the food will surely compensate that.
Starters 9 out of 10
Main course 7 out of 10
Desert 8 out of 10.
Food was exquisite. However my overall experience was a disaster as there was a fly inside the biryani and the manager insisted that it was our fault and refused to accept the fact that it was their fault.
Kirit Sankar Gupta
Great food. Didn't go for the buffet, and tried out the menu. You might have to consider ordering larger amounts or portions.
The service and ambiance is also very good. Great experience overall!

"Perfect" Don't have words to describe this place... Management was vary friendly ... Starters was awesome.... Main course if fabulous... Keep it up with this taste and I hope your place will rock vary soon

I must say food is quite bad. Per head buffet cost being 495 plus taxes - we did not expect anything fancy, but its far below standard, and all 8 of us were of the same opinion. The spread is an utter confusion. Probably to make the '360' part of the name fitting - all sorts of cuisines are kept jumbled together. The spread looked like this - Daal, then noodles, then cheese pasta, then a Chinese garlic chicken prep, then keema matter, then cream chicken, then raita, pickles, salad. Chinese gravies were too spicy, keema under cooked, kebabs served as starters quite tasteless. The only good dish was the rasmalai which was probably not prepared inhouse.

Went here on a special occasion and although it didn't disappoint me , it didn't leave an indelible memory either. We took the buffet and it was good, nothing fancy. The atmosphere was commendable, staffs were generous but lacking in numbers. It didn't affect us since we were having the buffet but I could notice a lot of ala carte customers getting a little impatient coz of a little lack of attention. Coming to the buffet, the items were well prepared and judging by the overall price, the buffet spread fitted the bill. But the replenishing intervals of the buffet caskets were too long and it was a major let down.i Personally went up to get my chicken starter thrice and found that it was empty. On complaining to the staffs, they assured me to wait a little longer and it would arrive and after quite a long time it finally did. I hope the management looks into these areas of improvement, and it will certainly be another visit from my side.

My worst experience when I visited this place. I visited that place in 31st December evening when I started the buffet dinner all the starter finished.we wait for the starter at least 20 min and after that they served food in our plates. That was the most unprofessional buffet service I ever seen in my life. Food quality is very low and in main course all the foods are very cold. They need to improve there standard.

Taste and preparation was good but dint live up to expectation I had from the word 'world cuisine'..should have more variety in the spread..

Newly opened restaurant. Went there for a buffet dinner. Was very pleased. The restaurant has a very elegant feel. Our table was in the corner overlooking the view. First we were served drinks then the starters were served to us. 3 veg starters and 3 non veg starters. Wish I could remember all their names. What I can remember is that they were superb. The staff was very well behaved and attended to all our needs. Then came time for soup of the day followed by the main course. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to bring flavour to the soup. The mains were ok. The non veg mains were better than the veg ones. Salads were great. Lot of options. And in the end. Desserts. Choice of ice cream, loads of sweets and coffee moose. Was so full in the end we could hardly walk. Lol. Was very happy with the entire experience. Will definitely visit again and will recommend it to all to try their buffets. Bitti Chatterjee

Had a buffet lunch..the starters were good, but the main course was quite ok..need to serve some good desserts..overall its was quite good!!!
Subrata Kumar Roy
The starters were truly mouthwatering and as good as any other kebab-centric restaurant, though they stuck to the traditional but the cuisine was delectable. Salads and main course was good but not out-of-world, need to improve upon somewhat bland taste. Service was good, cordial. One should surely try this and beware not sarson of south city.

Hey guys good afternoon!!
We, the best two childhood buddies, are going to visit Sarson 360 this evening for buffet dinner expecting a great and fabulous experience ! As we are expecting this much so we should not mind to give it a 5 star in advance..
Thank you in advance !
with regards,
Somnath Manna.

This restaurant is a great place to eat if you're looking for those authentic Indian cuisine. You gotta try their starters, since they come up with something unusal, which you wont find some place else. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive to you. They have varieties of welcome drinks, which I personally love.

Would highly recommend this restaurant, if you want a change from the "normal" food that you usually consume.

Today we hosted a lunch for 70 heads at this place. The owner himself gave the menu. Advance was given a month before the said date. The menu included Biriyani. This was NOT provided and the manager gave some cock and bull story of changing menue every day!! They are not ready to cater to such a large numbers. Russian salad finished and was not replaced.Guests had to wait 10 minutes for kowsway. Food was just ok. nothing to rave about,
BUT WHAT TO DO WITH PEPOLE WHO PROMISED SOMETHING AND DID NOT DELIVER.???

Worst experience in Kolkata. U wont evn feel like restraunt .... Disgusting food... With disgusting service.... Only starters wer a bit ok.... Over all pathetic restraunt...

We recently visited the restaurant and even hosted a small get together in this restaurant. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating.
The starters had chicken, mutton, fish, paneer, veggies. The main course had biriyani, noodles, pasta, thai curry. The food remains placed on burners hence remains hot all the time!

Yesterday I went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambiance is very good, services were also good. Foods are delicious specially the starters. Wish sarson will run a long way. All the best.

The overall experience was good. But there should be more variety in main course and desert sections. Table oven should be introduced to each table for starter items. Waiters were well behaved and very friendly.
Resurrected From The Flames
Went there for a late lunch with friends. the decor was elegant.Skipped the buffet menu and tried a mix of a-la-carte stuff. The spaghetti bolognese, bhetki meringue, registhani laal maas were wonderful and so was the caramel custard for dessert. The chicken bharta was good too. However the starters... Ajwaini fish tikka and bhatti da jhinga(tandoori prawns) were a tad burnt for our liking. Waiters were courteous and friendly.Definitely worth a visit!!

Interesting place,this.

This space was rented by another restaurant till some time back and being close by on a working Saturday which incidentally is every Saturday,I chose to pay a visit when I saw the name Sarson.

Now, I liked the Sarson which was housed at the South City mall for the ambience and food. Here I was intrigued by the 360 but seeing the menu I understood the Global Spin that they have given to the menu.

That is in itself not a bad thing and many people like and prefer the elaborate range a restaurant like this offers which includes a well laid out buffet, oriental menu,Indian choice and what not.

I went for a Chicken sandwich and banana milkshake. The sandwich was excellent and was served with a chutney which was obviously a part of the Bengali buffet.Unnecessary.The grain of the bead was good and there were discernible pieces of chicken inside.

The banana milk shake was good too with chunks of banana but a little too sweet for me.

The ambience is excellent and the service was quick and attentive.

In conclusion,a welcome addition to the Kolkata Culinary scene.

Window seats give a good view, thats the only good things about this restaurant. 2 starters are served on the table(took 30mins to serve), rest at the buffet table.
The main course is just non-sense except for the paneer. Either the food is too dry or too watery in buffet warmers.
The desert line up is decent. I had to kill my hunger eating sweet dishes.
Piya
Went for a late dinner, reached about 10:15 pm, from the moment we stepped in staff were rather apprehensive about serving food because apparently they close at 10:30 pm! They could have refused us but they didn't but I really wish they did after I had their food.
The entire restaurant was empty apart from three elderly gentlemen, no music, no friendly welcome and even the waiters were not wearing any uniform.
I was a huge fan of their south city outlet, compared to that one the decor is a huge let down though they have used the same furniture.
Apart from the service the food is extremely disappointing. We ordered for a fish ajwaini tikka for starters and butter cream chicken along with masala kulchas for main course, a prawn masala along with more kulchas were ordered for a take away.
The person who was taking our order asked us whether he can serve all the food together because their kitchen was about to get closed, which was okay with us, but from the moment we walked in they seemed a little hurried.
Anyways back to the food, our starter fish ajwaini tikka was ok, nicely seasoned and good in portion but the main course was a disaster, the butter cream chicken had more yoghurt than butter or cream it was that sour and the masala kulcha stuffing was too salty, when I asked one of the staff to change the kulchas he was kind enough to replace it with a butter nun which was not brilliant but not as bad as the kulchas. The prices are easy on the pockets but the food is just not worth any money.

The staff seems earnest but since it was getting a bit late their service didn't quite seem up to the mark, the food is really really bad, and I am sorry to say this because I used to love the buffet this restaurant used to serve at south city, many a times I have celebrated special occasions out there but this outlet is a huge let down.
Thoroughly disappointing, if you want to eat North Indian food I will recommend some dhaba as compared to this one.
Spare yourselves!

Decently priced. Reasonable service. Good ambiance. Buffet food served ranged from cold to hot and also varies on taste - bad biriyani to a good chowmein. The dessert section was very good though. Repeated servings of jaljeera helped as well.

We had the Sunday lunch Buffet over here. Location: Purna Das Road , Golpark
The restaurant is new and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. Coming to the buffet, starters - Achari Paneer tikka was very tasty, mutton seekh kabab and Fish was also extremely good. Only the chicken starter chili mustard chicken lacked marination and was hard and cheewy. The main course had a lot of variety but I only tried the Biriyani, which was very dry and the mutton although soft lacked marination. The chicken side dish murg lazeez was a plain chicken curry nothing special but went well with the butter nan which was nice and soft. The desert section also had quite a few options, from kheer, chum chum, malpua, darsaan, caramel custard and ice cream. I really liked the custard as the rest was too sweet for my liking. Overall was happy as my kids and family enjoyed the lunch.

This is the second time i went for their buffet...although service has improved a lot from last time but food quality has degraded to some extent...nimbu pani was served as welcome drink today which was really good and perhaps a change to normal cold drink we got last time...spicy rice balls served last time was better than today's batter fried vegetables...salad section today looked a bit unattractive compared to the last visit...main course was alright...indian bread was served on table on request...dessert was a mix of indian sweets like kheer, rasa malai, malpua(remember having kalo jaam last time) and western desserts like caramel custard.,darsaan and ice cream which by the way can do with some improvement in quality...which had small pieces of ice in it which means it was of not good quality...sarson 360 started of well but somehow seem to be losing track

Please think twice before you visit this place. The food in pathetic, the service equally bad and pricing EXORBITANT!!!!!!

SURPRISINGLY they don't even know the difference between "DISCOUNT COUPONS" and "GIFT VOUCHERS" issues by their own organisation. They refused to accept them (pics attached).

We had a very good experiences there.I want to emphasis on starter and dessert both are very good and tasty.Main course was average. How can we forget nimbu pani as welcome drink. We really enjoyed there. We want to recommend this restaurant specially for buffet menu.We want to go there again.

Sunday buffet lunch at Sarson 360 deserve special mention. Good food, nice ambience and lot of varieties will fascinate food lovers. Everything was fine, hence this restaurant requires strong recommendation.

While the decor, the serving staff and the restaurant itself checks all of the boxes, the food on the other hand reeks of inexperience. We had to order multiple times as the waiter kept returning to tell us that things on the menu weren't available. Maybe they weren't expecting people ordering those; one wonders what that says about their expertise in cooking those dishes. When we finally received some food after much deliberation, the pork used, to my disappointment, wasn't fresh pork but bacon and not appropriate in the dish ordered. A seafood dish was ordered as well in which the prawns were overcooked and rubbery. Overall it wasn't a very satisfying experience.

A new joint which has come up in place of the restaurant on the first floor, sarson 360 gives u a multicusine fare. However during the pujos they just had the buffet to offer. Unlimited supply of some refreshing aam panna marked the beginning of our lunch. But then i had expected better food from this place. The chilli babycorn was good but the prawn croquetes were smelly. The paneer kebab was way too dry n the piyaji was refusing to go down my throat. The chicken wings were an exception and tasted pretty good. The salads were at best ok. The thai red curry was good, the mutton in mutton kosha was very soft, the biriyani too was not bad. There were infact a lot of options like luchi, fulkopi, cholar daal, noodles, some fish and chicken chinese preparation and some good chingri malai curry. The desserts too were ok but im not sure i can call any my favourite. Guess will be able to get a better idea once we go for the a la carte.

Sarson has shifted from South City Mall to Purna Das Road and is now Sarson 360. Visited the place yesterday and found the ambience good. The staff are courteous but the buffet spread was a huge disappointment. The salad bar looked unappetising. The vegetables looked stale so stayed away from the salads. The crispy baby corn was dry, same with paneer tikka. On the whole the spread was very average and a wee bit expensive if you go to see the quality. The Chholar dal was tasteless. Prawn croquette was smelly and to cover it up they had put rose water which made it worse.
The dessert menu was fine if you go to see the number of items offered in that section. But I have had better ras malai & gulab jamun. There was no vanilla ice cream with darsan. Only chocolate and two in one.
What I found most surprising is that the dessert spoons were all plastic. Not expected from Sarson.
Neelabja Manna
Visted this place through vouuchers from groupon. First thing first, superb ambience, well mannered staffs. We had a buffet dinner and it consisted of mixed cuisines. The starters were very tasty, followed by wide variety of main course. But the limelight of the menu was their desert's section whick over powered everythng starting from kala jamun to darshaan to rasmalai to icecream.

Just dissapointed with their fish item where the quality of the fish was bad. Infact it smelt rilly bad. Other than that, a must go for the food lovers.
Adhiraj Sarker
I went there with my gang of friends for a buffet lunch. Although we didn't go there with any expectation, other than to eat lots of food, we were a tad bit disappointed.

LOCATION: Many people still think Sarson having its outlet in South City Mall. Well no, it has shifted to Hindustan Park region. From Golpark, enter the road adjacent to the petrol pump, walk for a minute, and you'll spot this newly opened outlet next to Nava Nalanda.

AMBIENCE: I liked the way the interiors were done. Large wooden tables, comfortable seats, good lights, large french windows offering a view of the neighbourhood.

FOOD & SERVICE: As were seated centrally in a table, and served our first round of cold drinks (unlimited aerated drinks!), we were told that the starters would be served by them. They started off with pan fried fish, and each of us were served only 2 pieces of it. which in that moment of hunger was finished in a moment. Then came crispy chilli baby corn, which was good, but I've had better in several other restaurants. In quick succession came a few more starters: chicken kebab, mutton balls, some kind of a dal bada! The fish and chicken starters were really good, but repeatedly asking them for those was a turn off.
After this it was only disappointment until desserts. The two or three kinds of salads weren't good, nor fresh. The mutton biriyani, seemed a bit stale to me, it was dry, and tasted anything but good! The veg noodles was okay, the Chinese side dish was good. The pasta was simple, and okay. No, there was not a single main course which I liked.

The saviour happened to be the palatable desserts. Creme Caramel, Gulab Jamun, Malpoa, Darsaaan, I liked all of them.

Service was a bit slow, the staff were courteous. On complaining that I didn't like the Biriyani, they were ready to oblige me by preparing it fresh.

CONCLUSION: For the price, this buffet spread is a fair one. They need to revamp the main course spread. Perhaps use some innovation, or just improve the overall quality of the food. One can avail this, if they go to a buffet only for starters and desserts.

Was a fan of the old Sarson. Was a fan of the Restaurant at the 1st Floor. But now am a mega fan of Sarson 360. We have been there thrice in the last 8 days (including an office lunch just now). We tried different cuisine every time and were very impressed with everything we had. Their buffet is decent, Burmese Khausuey is superb, Thai Red Curry was great and the Nasi Goreng was out of the world. Steaks have been also a revelation. This part of Kolkata needed a multicuisine. The most amazing part of the food there is the freshness you feel from their ingredients. I must also mention their service. You would expect a certain kind of personalised service from a premium restaurant and Sarson 360 lived up to it and bettered it. Good beginnings for them. Wish them all the best for the future. Oh... prices... acceptable for what they are giving :)

We went to sarson 360 on the first day of its journey. We did opt for buffet. It was not extraordinary. But still it was good. Specially the main course mutton item was fab. They were lil bit slow on serving starters. We enjoyed a lot on that day...

It was a lovely experience to visit this Restaurant on Mahalaya 2015. I didn't get an opportunity to visit Sarson while it was located in South City Mall but as soon as I heard that it has come up with a new outlet I decided that I shall have to visit this. The Manager welcomed us and guided us to a table for four as per our requirement. We ordered Murg Tikka Angare & Burra Kebab for the starters. Very well cooked indeed they were. Then in the main course we tried Plain Nun along with Highway Butter Chicken and Junglee Mutton. The mutton was a bit spicy but the taste was awesome. At the end we had Caramel Custard, Baked Citrus Cheesecake and Black Forest Pudding as desserts. The ambience was very nice and the behavior of the support staffs was mentionable. A must visit for any family at lunch/dinner. 4 stars out of 5.
PS: You can also try their buffet arrangements. Many items at reasonable price.

We went for the weekend buffet to this newly opened restaurant located adjacent to the Golpark Nava Nalanda. The buffet spread was not what I'd call humongous but it was good. The starters were the best. Didn't quite like the salad bar. Apart from the Russian salad nothing tasted good. Main course was okay. The dessert menu though not elaborate was good. Loved the creme caramel.
A sudden, much-awaited visit to the very recently opened outlet of Sarson 360 was made, and we were treated to a wonderful platter of various cuisines in the lunch buffet.

Located at a stone's throw in the lane just beside the petrol pump at Golpark crossing, the place is indeed at a very easily accessible point.

We were served the STARTERS on our table itself. It happened so fast that our plate was full of many different starters - crispy babycorn, fried potato chunks (like potato wedges), crispy batter fried fish , mutton sheekh kebab and an oriental chicken starter (with lots of bell peppers) - all in less than five minutes. We really loved the chicken, the little pieces of fried fish and the babycorn. The mutton sheekh kebab was also pretty good. Cheers to the starters!

Moving on towards the main course spread, we started with a MALAYSIAN LAKSA BAR. It is similar to soup with a distinct tangy taste, served with steamed/crispy noodles and a whole lot of condiments. We were helped with the entire serving, and although it was likeable, it wouldn't really qualify as a favorite.

Leaving aside the salads, the spread had bits of all cuisines viz. two Chinese items (noodles & side dish), some North Indian (biryani, rice, dal, 2 side dishes) and plain pasta (in white sauce). This was a slight setback because the pasta seemed out of the group, and the options were limited to one or two from each cuisine.

The big hitters of my palate were the AWADHI MURGH BIRYANI , KADAI PANEER, a MUTTON KEEMA dish along with butter nan. The biryani was amazing. Equally good, albeit being slightly sweet, was the paneer. The food quality was brilliant.

Coming to the desserts, a 'goblet' of ICECREAM topped with loads of chocolate sauce, around which revolved STRAWBERRY MOUSSE, MALPUA (WITH RABRI), GULAB JAMUN and DARSAAN, was enough to signal a really sweet end to the meal.

For the price, the buffet spread was okay-ish. The lavish ambiance and the appreciable service are worth mentioning. :)

As seeing sarson I thought it is a good restaurant . When we went there starter's in the buffet was Ok but the main course was totally un impressive as the biriyani was taste less.

A nice dinner buffet experience. Went on 2nd Oct to celebrate the Gandhi Birthday with my family. The buffet menu consists of unlimited soft drinks, 3 non veg starters, 2 veg starters, biriyani, steamed rice, indian bread, mutton and fish sides and a 4 types of desserts. When I purchased the deal from Groupon pizza & pasta parlor also mentioned but that was missing. I had to specially mention about mutton, that was superb in taste but got upset with desserts, specially ice-cream, I think it was mixture of ice-cream and cake and also not good in taste. I had big expectation with the starters but unfortunately that was so so only. The overall ambiance and hospitality of the stuffs were awesome although they were little bit nervous.

Food quality-3.5
Ambiance- 3
Price- moderate
Service- 4
