One of the best value for money mughlai restaurant .Quite famous for the Biriyani & Kababs they serve.I always order mutton biriyani from this restaurant ,which is quite good ,though not comparable with aminia or Arsalan .The mutton piece they provide in biriyani is big enough .I also tried their Chicken Resmi & Tikka kabab .They both were of good taste. Conclusion- A restaurant worth ur money.

One of the oldest biryani restaurants in Kolkata, it has lost it's original charm due to intense competition from other similar restaurants. The ambience and staff behaviour are mediocre. The food (biryani and kababs) are tasty and worth a visit.

Enjoyed the Kebabs, though I would think that the quantity should be more. The nan and the chicken was delightful. The location is fabulous. Must visit.

Had chicken roll and a cup of tea today evening.The chicken roll was fantastic with the right amount of spices and a tinge of lemon.The tea however was quite disappointing of ordinary quality with lots of sugar ,it needs to be improved big time! The menu did not have coffee and would be good if included.

Owned by Keralian group, this restaurant serves a lot of authentic Mughlai dishes at a very affordable price. Not highly publicised and hence not many people knows about the quality of this place. A very neat and clean place.

At the Mallick bazar more. Affordable family restaurant. Enough quantity and quality. Biryani and Tandoori chicken were tasty. Also availed cashback paying through phonepay.

Today we went to Rahamania(Barasat).. We ordered biriyani for 7 people...First of all the quality of food was too bad..Due to some gathering we placed our ordered in advance with full payment..In that time they mentioned some offer like 1 extra plate of chicken biriyani with two mutton biriyani...After sitting there for long time around 45-50 mins a service boy came to us and asked loudly that this order is applicable only for take away. and we have to pay additional 4.9% service tax for dining..We agreed with that additional 4.9% payment and started waiting for the delivery..After 15 mins another one guy came to us and told us only food is available for 6 people even when they are serving same food for other table also.We asked them why the didn't clarify these before so we could cancel our order....it was around 10.15 pm..some how they managed an addition plate for us..It was cleared from the quality of that food that they are just giving us remainder from the container..some of the part was even burned...Also the behavior which we got from that guy that was unpleasant to us. .We are used to go all other branches of Rahamania..but our today's Experience was too bad...abhisek mondal

The quality of biryani has really become inferior over the years. It is no more, the same.

Rumali roti and mutton kasha is what we ordered. The place is also good for biryani and kasha items too. I visit this place for the above mentioned dish especially whenever i am around this place.

Amazing mutton kassa with laccha paratntha. You have to go little early to taste that, otherwise stocks are over. I m having it since 2007. No change of taste yet.

This restaurant is specialized in biriyani and tandoor items. Along with these chicken and mutton dishes like kasha, mosallam, chap etc are also good. Tried firni from here and it also tasted good.

I just love their mutton items. Be it mutton biryani which is sumptuous and flavourful or the mutton kasha which is somewhat higher in price but worth the money. Tandoori roties with chicken chaap is another worthy combination here. Mughlai cuisine based on Kolkata style. Kebabs are not recommended.

Very much disappointing,<br/><br/>I have order 10 no's of Egg Chicken Biryani and they delivered Chicken Biryani only. Eggs were not present in any of the packets. They have already charged for Egg Chicken Biryani. I urged to Zomato, please look into the matter and take necessary action at your end. I've attached my invoice copy for your reference.

I had ordered for Mutton & Chicken kadhai. Though both were oily as because restaurants use a lot of oil but the food was spicy and yummy. But one thing that needs to be mentioned is that the quantity.The quantity is below average.

After a long gap I ordered mutton biryani from Rahmania, Mullick Bazar. It took a long time to receive my order. First of all the biryani came in a paper box. The box contains a piece of mutton, a potato and flavourful rice. Rice is very rich and full of spicy cloves. You can fell the spiciness of cloves throughout the biryani rice. Really loved it. The medium size mutton piece was soft, tender and perfectly cooked. Long gain of basamati rice was very much satisfactory. But the negative part was poor packaging in paper box and excessive use of Dalda. As I received my order late, dalda started to thicken the rice n eventually it lead the biriyani little soggy. This kind of biryani may cause indigestion and felt heavily overburdened. <br/>Date :- 15-Nov-2018 (Thursday)

Few days back I ordered Biriyani from Rahmania as a kind of Biriyani festival is going on UBER eats giving discounts on the prices. The good part is the quantity which is sufficient for a person but except this nothing is mentionable the taste is disgusting the mutton pieces are very bad . Out of the 3 in one box there is only bones. Pathetic experience.

Rahmania runs by its name and legacy but it isn't the same as it was in the early days. Since it comes close to Park Circus area, the demand is high. It's not that the food is bad but isn't that authentic as per it's legacy and other fee outlets nearby.<br/><br/>Most of their preparations are delicious but somehow, the biryani lacks the punch for me. I used to work in this area and have had my share from here many times along with some of the other biryani joints as well.<br/><br/>They need a little work at the interior section cause it's still like Nokia in an Android world hypothetically. It's not completely tidy by somehow does the job.

For those who are health conscious yet do like an occasional biryani indulgence, then Rahmania is the place to go to. The biryani is tasty and yet not oily. However the take away rice quantity of the Special Chicken Egg Biryani falls short specially if two people plan to share. The Tangri Kebabs are just superb. So is the Chicken Korma. A must try outlet.

A sudden craving for some Biryani and Kebabs had me order for home delivery from Rahmania. I was pretty excited to try out this new place. The food was delivered pretty quickly and the packaging was neat. I had ordered for a Mutton Biryani and Chicken Tikka Kebabs. The Biryani was perfectly cooked and had a big succulent piece of Mutton and an aloo. The Chicken Tikka Kebab had 5 pieces of well cooked chicken in a spicy marinade. The food wad great and the quantity was huge as I could not finish it all by myself and had a lot of leftovers.

Ordered biriyani and kababs from this place via uber eats for my sister's birthday and that's the biggest mistake i have made! The mutton biriyani ordered did not seemed to contain any proper meat atall! It was only bone and nothing else. The kabab ordered was fine,but no onions provided along with it and the packing of the items were poorly done. Very disappointed with their service n quality!

Worst Biryani I ever had.. Had Biryani at many places in Kolkata, this was the worst.. Literally they made it without spices, it was stale and obnoxious smell was coming from Biryani.. Rice was mucousy and Chicken wasn't even cooked well and was smelly.. Literally worst.. Not even worth 1 star..

This place is pretty famous and rightly so . They churn out one of the best Mughlai dishes from their kitchen . I have been visiting this place since the last 10-12 years. The food is excellent . My favorites being the Chicken Bharta , Mutton Pasinda and their Biryani . Special mention to their Firni . It has the same taste since the very onset . Once you gorge into it , you keep craving for more .<br/>Talking about the problems , This place has not reinvented it's menu even after so many years . The menu still is quite limited . The place is not maintained nicely . They can easily give the place a revamp and make it a family diner .<br/>I would advice you to not expect anything out if the world . Just go for the simple Mughlai preparations and you won't be disappointed .<br/>

Overall: Good place, for nice meal and service was quite fast.<br/>We tried Mutton Halim, which is Good, and order chicken Bartha along with Rumali Roti & Tandoori Roti. Nice experience..it was a birthday treat with 9 friends..they arranged properly..ac..peaceful ambience..biryani was the main attraction...it was as light as it can be...mutton pieces were big enough...kebabs and tandoor were brilliant..lastly there was a nice cold firni...prices are very reasonable..staffs were very cooperative...I would love to go again..you should also... just opposite to institute of neuroscience..

Well, ordered online for Mutton Biryani and Chicken Reshmi Kabab.Both the dishes were good but expected a bit more owing to the reputation of Rahmania. The Mutton in the Biryani was good and well cooked however the rice felt a bit low.The price is decent as well. Will be looking forward to other dishes from here in the future.

Heard so much about the place and so decided to drop in. As it was way past lunch time so decided not to order biriyani and instead ordered mutton chap and rumali roti. The place is not very well decorated, just simple furnitures (I was in the non AC section though). The food was served within about 5mins. This is the worst mutton chap I have ever had. There was no taste at all. The mutton chunks were just swimming in a plate full of oil. I could hardly see any mutton, it had only bones. A very very dissapointing experience. Maybe I would have biriyani next time and change the rating.

This is a legendary Biryani joint of the city. The name Rahmania is unknown to absolutely no one in Kolkata. The ambience and service are not something worth a mention.<br/>                  I've tried out Mutton Biryani, Mutton Chaap, Chicken Kassa, Lachcha Paratha and Firni from here. I was very impressed by the food and instantly understood why 'Rahmania' is such a big name in the field of North Indian cuisine. The Biryani deserves a special mention and so does the chaap.<br/><br/>FINAL VERDICT- I highly recommend this place if you are a Biryani lover like I am.

It's located in park Street near Jameson inn. First of all, it is not an AC restaurant, which is very disappointing. Also the dinning and staffs are very casual. Coming to food, it's mainly north Indian n briyani restaurant.The Briyani was really very good in a very affordable price. If u r a briyani fan and AC n dinning is not a factor for u, then go for it. This is the restaurant u r searching for.

Rahmania is located right at the Mallick bazar crossing just opposite to Shiraz. Both of them are formidable names in the biryani scenario of Kolkata. Mutton biryani, mutton pasinda, mutton rezala and firni were the things we went for and the food was delicious. But what it lacked was the ambience. The place and the staff need to imlrove, or else it will soon lose by long strides against its rival across the road.

This is one of the older restaurants in the city serving Mughlai food. The two big names of Park Street have always been Shiraz and Rahmania. And though the former has grown exponentially, Rahmania seems to have reached a plateau phase in their growth. Rahmania is good by their own standards... The Biryanis and the Mutton and Chicken Chaap they serve, is no less than that dished out by the giant on the other side of the street. The Mutton Pasinda is one dish where they can certainly do a better job. Firnis are reasonably good too. They can certainly work to improve upon the ambience factor. Service is standard. It seems they lack the ambition for that final push, to be considered in the big league of today. To be in the race, they need to try out something new, like innovate on the menu, improve the ambience, reach out to the people. Cause definitely the 'Biryani Race' in Kolkata is hotting up......

Rahmania and Shiraz has had roaring businesses in the Mallick Bazar area forever and both are institutions​... And every man woman and child has their own favorite among these two.... While mine is Shiraz I can't deny the awesomeness of Rahmania.... The impeccable biryani and the lovely dishes.... That they have served for decades are undeniably great and time tested.... While one should not compare legends... We however always end up doing just that!!! I can safely say if Shiraz is the Bette Davis of mughlai food Rahmania is Joan Crawford .. beautiful, relevant and genius!!!

Fairly good food. Had mutton egg biryani, chicken biryani, chicken reshmi kebab, mutton rezela and tanduri roti with salad. Oh it was a cassual dinner with my girlfriend swati and three other friends. Food is tasty and quantity is also reasonable. Service is fast and cordial. Location fantastic, just beside Mullick Bazar crossing. Ambiance is quiet and pleasant. Pricing is at per with other restaurants of same status. Will be back their soon.

One of the oldest mughal food joint of kolkata. Been here many times.Service & ambience is quite well. They believe in quality. Ordered through zomato. Food quality & quantity are good enough. The most important part is its very much pocket friendly. The common concept " the more you pay, the better you get" does not fit here. A must visit for indian-mughal food lovers.

This place is probably one of the first to open every morning for Breakfast.. They start serving their customers as early as 5.30am. You get the usual suspects, like Paaya, Mutton Stew etc.. I tried both the Paaya as well as the Mutton Stew.. The Paaya for me felt too watery and lacked flavour, but the Mutton Stew was quite good. I have heard they make a very good Malai Roti, but you need to be lucky to get your hands on one, since it is not always available. During the day, Kolkata has so many options to offer, and I would probably not pick this place, but if you are craving a heavy Breakfast first thing in the morning, you can head to Rehmania.

This place I visit every now and then , I havent had a biriyani's mutton so soft and perfectly cooked. I know the ambience might not be that great but surely you wont feel bad here , its quite comfortable . The staff is so humble and polite , I always end up giving a lot of tips . Also I remember one of staffs who serve inside the a/c area once changed the piece of mutton because it was rubbery. You must try them once ! and I just hope their prices and hospitality keep up like this.

Rahmania for me would be a simple and casual dining place for mughlai cuisine. Nothing here is exceptionally well cooked for a distinct mention. <br/>Its a reasonable place and the food is normal. Not too bad and not too great.

There are many places that rest on their past laurels and give up on improvement and quality maintenance. This is one such place. There are dozens of other places to visit for mughal and tandoori fare at the same or even lesser pricing. Even its no-no longer-existing neighbour Milan was 1000 times better in taste and fare.

<br/>Well as you can make out from the other reviews here, they serve some very good Biriyani - especially the Mutton Biriyani. But the Chicken chaap is one of the best and highly recommend. I visited this place couple of times with friends. In the recent days, I am bit disappointed with the biriyani quality. But the mutton kebab and the phirni - both are still mouth watering with the same taste.

A nostalgic outlet per-se, for people who have come here in their childhood. I still remember the day, when my friend forced to come here and have lunch after a seminar at one of the nearby colleges. My father gave me 100 Rs. to have the Biryani as being a school kid, I obviously lacked resources. It was somewhere around 1999-2000, when I was in standard VII-VIII. We made our way inside and ordered for a Mutton Biryani each. Huge quantity of rice, with soft grains. The mutton was a nice beauty of wonder and the potato was beyond any description. I have made several visits later when I could, but this was one extravaganza, which will forever be etched in my heart.

I ordered mutton rezala and plain naan. Naan was okayish but the mutton rezala was shocking. No trace of mutton was there ; it was full of white and uncooked fat which was not consumable. So beware!

One of our favourite places for Biryani and Mughlai food. The biryani here is light and flavourful. During Ramzan they make decent haleem too. If you are here do try their Mutton Pasinda.

My old favourite place for Biriyani. I recently visited the Park street joint. The Biriyani taste horrible. Thik rice, lot of yellow color, a very thin mutton piece and served cold. Yak! Service is equally poor. They take customers as granted. Better you avoid.

a biryani lover like me always try to explore every possible good place to have biryani.  so tried mutton biryani along with phirni and chicken rezala. little bit below expectation food. heard from my dad that it was one  of the top biryani places. so my expectation was much more but its not matching that mark. but no doubt the mughlai biryani flavour was decent and the quantity should be little more comparing the cost of it.

Today me and my office colleagues went to this place,which is my first sit and dine experience here.This eatery is quite old but had a facelift few years back. It's located right at the Mullick bazar and Parkstreet crossing.There are both AC and non AC segments.Sitting in the comfort of AC , we ordered Chicken biryani, Salad and Firni for our lunch.<br/>Firstly the biryani struck the right balance between oil and masala.The mild aroma from the Biryani fuelled our appetite. However, the chicken piece was small. Salad was freshly cut and served. Firni was good.The colour was like misti doi and tastes quite delicious ! <br/>

One of the most renowed names in Biriyani in Kolkata. Rahmania has somehow managed to maintain its legacy of rich mughlai dishes. Although through time the taste does feel different from previous. Overall good.

The place is known to serve some of the best mutton delicacies. You must try their biriyani and the chaap here. It is delectable. Every holi in our family at one time, had called for Biriyani from Rahamania and box after box of kebabs. They are soft and succulent and tick all the right boxes. If you have not tried their nihari yet...then you must.

Rahmania,,, opens at 5:30 am,,, nd believe it or not,, the place is packed with people who love walking,, their talk nd breaking bread thereafter.... Only here they choose to do it with all kinds of mutton dishes as an accompaniment to the above,,, making it undoubtedly the best breakfast in Kolkata.......<br/>Mutton stew, mutton dal, nihari, zuban, kassa nd keema,,, among a host of other options..... There is the usual option of tandoori fare,,, if your system nd appetite can go for such a heavy meal in the morning nd fresh malai to cream off the remains on your plate later........

Rahemania is loacted opposite to the shiraz restaurant near park street Mullick bazaar crossing. <br/><br/>I had couple of times from them.. Their chap was good. Biryani was average. Serves hot. Service were pretty slow and no deco and ambiance.

Mainly known for the breakfast items. Good place to have breakfast other than Shiraz if you want to hog on to some Mughlai items. They have upgraded their restaurant and its cleaner now.
