Review Starbucks - Kolkata (Calcutta)

We tried 3 types of cold coffees and we all liked it. Ambience was great and classy. Love to go there again. If you don't mind budget then go for Starbucks.

Location: South City Mall it's on the ground floor. ambiance was pretty nice but the place is little bit small, there sets are cozy..!! service Frome the staffs is really great & quickly, they are very friendly. there it's mainly self-service.. we had -> 1. Java Chip Frappuccino 2. Caramel Java chip Frappuccino 3. Mocha chocolate Frappuccino bottle drinks are satisfying and quantity was good as well.. but the price is little bit costly..! caramel Java chip frappuccino is disappointing to me bcz there was no caramel syrup on the top theye put chocolate syrup, don't know why..!! otherwise all good must Visit & Enjoy THANK YOU..!

Great ambience. Both the beverages, Cappuccino and Black Tea were really good. We visited during the Christmas times so got to try their festive special Carrot cake with Vanilla sauce, which were perfect. Would highly recommend. Try out during off peak times during the weekdays or mornings on weekends as the place is popular and really gets full easily. Still providing the same professional service.

One of those niche high profile places in South City Mall that has a segmented crowd of its own kind. Visited on a sunday evening to have some coffee and pastry and found the place to be pretty thickly crowded. Had the cafe mocha and ny cheesecake and both the items were pretty spot on. But it's Starbucks so expect exorbitant pricing as usual as the catering audience is of mostly high profile individuals

A good place for catching up with friends and their various drink items are great as always.

The beverage they made was so so good... There behaviour towards the customers are also very very good... Best place to spend some alone time or a nice date

The aroma of freshly ground coffee welcomes you when you step in into the shop. This is a very cozy place to hang out with your friends and loved ones. All the staffs are very polite and humble. They try to welcome you with smile. The place is very neat and clean. They maintain proper hygiene. They serve variety of hot and cold coffee. I personally prefer cuppuchino( hot & cold both), frappuccino. They also have good quality brownie and ginger bread. Billing procedure is hassle free.Both on and off line payment is accepted. Waiting time is not too long. If you are coffee lover, then it is must visit place for you.

Usually, I don’t like a lot of Starbucks. It is mediocre coffee generally unless it is something sweet. Love their birthday month offer though, you get a free drink (any drink) if you’ve spent atleast Rs 600 throughout the year.

It was really an amazing experience. This was my first time at Starbucks. I liked the service, I told them that it was my first time there and they really helped me to choose one of the finest coffee drinks. They explained to us in detail about the menu items and everything else. Coffee was served very quickly and i really enjoyed it. I would like to recommend everyone to try it once. Place is Charming and warming and a nice place to work beside enjoying your coffee. The ambience is very very eye pleasing and asthetically beautiful. Cons: The space is little low and you may not get a seat to enjoy this aesthetic beauty.

Starbucks, I've been there for the very first time. A very cosy & aesthetic place to enjoy your coffee. They offer a wide range of desserts & snacks. We ordered Hot Chocolate & Caramel Frappuccino. I really liked hot chocolate but caramel frappuccino is not upto the mark. Staffs are friendly & polite. Everyone minding their own buisness. I would recommend to visit during morning hours like 11 am or 12 pm.

Well we finally went to The Starbucks at South City Mall, Kolkata and stayed there for a long time. It is definitely one of the best places to hang out with friends or family. We of course went with the children. Had a couple of Cappuccinos and Cold Coffee with Cake and so on. What we liked was the good ambience and decent people who were there. Everyone minding their own business and very quite. There some merchandise and coffee seeds, etc which one can buy of course. They do distribute cakes etc for people to taste. Overall a good experience. But don't forget that price of everything is premium.

Here all the staff behave very politely with all the customers. They can be served very professionally with a smile. Specially I noticed Ansika served all the Guests/Customer's orders very carefully and she also served to the customer's table when they were seated. Starbucks atmosphere, food, drinks etc. Outstanding. I love Starbucks.

Just like any other Starbucks, here you'll get all the authentic frappe and shakes. I always give a four star to Starbucks because of their unnecessary charging in black coffee. Also ky table was not clean before i had a chance to take my drinks over there. Otherwise you will be able to get all the food stuffs available in any other Starbucks in optimum quality :)

Awesome experience, good food, great coffee, best ambience among all the coffee shops in Kolkata. Price - It's Starbucks bruh, what to expect. Dutch truffle - 295, Chicken croissant - 250, and 2 grandes is like 700.

This Starbucks is located on the ground floor of South City Mall. The seating area is quite spacious, the service is good and the coffee is good too. The operating hours from 11am to 11pm. They do provide free wifi.

Poor quality Americano with little trace of coffee. Staffs are looking for heavy eaters of their food and if you are alone willing to get a good quality coffee you will be frustrated.

Well what more to say about this place then compliment about their world famous coffee. The ambience was nice, good service. They have an extensive menu, but I personally feel this place is a bit overpriced.

Posh atmosphere. But if you don't know about what to choose or exactly what it would taste like, you might end up with a not so good experience. Pls ask the counter people about what to order, they will help you out.

Visited recently the South City Mall outlet. Ambience is good. Fancy croud. But the coffee is little overpriced according to the quantity. Flavour of the coffee is really nice. It has some Smokey flavored coffee beans. Overall good experience.

The legendary cafe has been dominant in West since decade now has five outlets spreading through out the city of joy. The queen carrying the star of heritage in her head is the signature of this cafe. Though I am not a tea or a coffee lover still I love this place for the widest variety of wraps. A great place to enjoy with friends and family as well.

I am a regular at Park St and Baristas there call me by my name and there is this guy 'Asit' at Starbucks South City Mall left such bad taste. First of all he didn't ask whether to redeem offers and then on asking he started 'laughing' on us. On asking the reason of laughing he was adamant enough to reply "where am I laughing? I am not laughing."<br/><br/>This is not his hometown chai shack. This is Starbucks. We come here ans pay premium for premium coffee and best in class treatment. Kindly do train guys like them. Starbucks, South City Mall is a popular hangout for college goers.we tried the following beverages:<br/>Red velvet mocha<br/>Java chip and<br/>Caramel.<br/>Needless to say Java chip is one of the best thing about Starbucks.The red velvet mocha was a experiment that yielded good result, the taste was worth the hype.Caramel is my favourite flavour and i wasn't disappointed at all with the blend of caramel and coffee.Overall, it was a nice experience although it took a toll on our pockets.

One of the most trending places to visit in the city. Its speciality Chocolate Chip Flavapaccino was delicious. Caramel Flavapaccino was a different but great version . Try thier new Chocolate Mocha for Christmas it was Awesome. Great Ambience and place to hang out with friends

I love the Frappuccinos from Starbucks. My all time favourites are java chip Frappuccino and double choco chip Frappuccino the taste is amazing these drinks so not contain coffee their are other options other than the Frappuccino which has coffee

Exorbitant. No doubt. This brand should be analysed in the economic accountability in India. I would say CCD is 100 times better than this. We ordered Mocha Frappichino and tripple mocha delight and I cam tell that I am only giving one star for the chocolate cheescake that we ordered. Our bill was around 1100. Just for two drinks and a cheescake. Coming here never. And even if we come than it will be for the desert.

This coffee joint recieved tons of hype during its launch. Really like their caramel mocha coffee. Their espresso is delicious as well. Furthermore, I really love the food you can find there, my favourite being the blueberry muffin. Their only flaw, their prices are way too high, priced atleast 100 rupees above average prices. The question is whether they can justify their prices?

Obviously this is no surprise that the vibe and ambience of the wll known cafe is great, we ordered two tall coffee latte, which are rich creamy and tasty , although I did not like the cappuccino coffee that much in the Elgin road outlet but the south city outlet is awesome, they serve other snacks as well,but most importantly coffee lovers will surely enjoy this place very much.

As we all know, the name doesn't need any introduction. It is one of the best coffee shops in town and the food there is just delicious. The coffee there is very good and the cakes are just awesome. And the blueberry cake is just awesome and my personal favorite.

Slow. And totally unorganized. Not what I expect to pay so much money for. People who came after us to order got their drinks before us. The staff didnt seem to care that we had ordered for coffee without whipped cream. Horrible experience all around.

Nothing more to say about this place coz it is known to all that Starbucks is Coffee Lover's Paradise. This outlet is no different. A must visit for everyone as sometimes all you need is a cup with a little green straw !!!

I had a very bad experience. Despite the fact that I asked the server twice to make my coffee hot and strong, it was cold and totally milky. The snacks were tasteless as well. Considering their steep rates, I am shocked at the bad quality that they provided.

Name says it all. I found it little bit expensive . The least price beavarage is of rs 230 (with tax and all). Service is really good. There are plenty of varitey.

I am quite a frequent visitor. I visited today and ordered the usual coffee. This time I saw a new item on display "Soba noodle with teriyaki chicken" The displayed item looked quite good and decided to go for it. But I was very disappointed with what I received. I told the staff that it doesn't even look very appetising and the quantity is very less and they told me its the same quantity as displayed. You can see in my pic the differences between what was served and what is displayed. And the cost is 295! I think Starbucks could do better when they charge such exorbitant price. Really disappointed with this visit.

The rating is actually ‘3.7’. <br/>Had ordered a cookie crumble Frappuccino because on my question, they said that’s the best Frappuccino that they offer. It was just okayish, nothing fancy or extra. Also, the drink was too cold, so instead of the cookie crumbles, I could only feel the crushed ice. It wasn’t that good of a drink. Just... okayish. However, what I loved was the presentation of the drink. It looked great. <br/><br/>Overall, the ambience is great, but wouldn’t really recommend this place for the drinks.

My go to for convenience and consistency! <br/>My beverage of choice the Americano either iced or hot. <br/>I also enjoy the Citrus Cold Brew.<br/>For a quick bite or working lunch I like their roast chicken croissant bun / double meat sandwich and Chilli Cheese Toast. The Turkey Ham and Egg Wrap is also quite good. The Lemon Cake , Brownie , Cookie and Cruffin are all tasty options to add a bit of sweetness to your coffee. It’s always advisable to request your order taker to heat the food less as they always overdo it and the sandwich gets ruined.

Starbucks is coffee lovers paradise . The variety of cold and hot coffee available on the menu makes it difficult for one to choose but if you are a regular , you would definitely have your favorite coffee already sorted out . I swear by there Frappuccinos and java chip is my all time favorite . Also they have this wide variety of breakfast menu , bakery and sandwiches available which are equally good as their coffee.It is definitely one of the places that I like to visit during my visit to South City mall . Also do try their reward cards , if you are a regular there . Every now and then after a few visits , you will be treated with a free coffee !!

Didn’t like this outlet at all! Considering how muchh i love the other ones, I know it sounds strange but I really found all the drinks diluted and watery... neither did the ambience work well for me .. I would rather recommend the Park Street outlet...

As we know from the great Legacy to carry Starbucks release of great coffee and not only it's good with coffee but it has also always range of side dishes like baked potato sandwich bbq grilled cheese sandwich and other toast items of bread it is also good with cold coffee which one of my personal favourite items.<br/>The frappuccino item is really great.<br/>Cold latte Mocha is one of the best coffee ever tasted it is really what praising how how the taste as well as a service is always hand in hand you can never be unsatisfied with the service that it provides.

Trie the caramel macchiato (hot) and it was really nice in taste.The blueberry cheesecake and red velvet cake could have been much better in quality. Also tried the CARAMEL MOCHA FRAPPUCINO and it was wonderful.

Went their last day to try their frappuccinos. The ambiance was ok nothing wow. Ordered one Java chip frappuccino and one double chocolate chip frappuccino both are the same one with the coffee and the other without it, and one Chicken club sandwich but they gave me the Grilled Chicken salad sandwiche but it's ok i didn't said anything and one Double meat club sandwich. The sandwiches were really good specially the Double meat club sandwich the sandwiche had Sausages,ham,fried egg in it just yummy, the Grilled chicken salad sandwiche was also good. But the drinks were an utter disappointment, for there was too much crushed ice. The taste was good but the too much ice made it worse. I hope the next time I visit Starbucks I have a better experience.

I visited this outlet on the first opening day! It was crowded as hell, but they didn't pronounce my name wrong so that was a plus. Although the place is a bit smaller sized, the ambiance was good. And the shakes were pretty good too! I will recommend anything according to your preference, my personal favorite is Mocha.

Coffee = Starbucks ❤️<br/>Do i need to write more?? They are good... Probably they are the BEST when it comes to coffee. Have visited ccd, barista and many more cafeterias in Kolkata. But trust me Starbucks are the best option. Its not overhyped neither overpriced. Yes... the Ethiopian beans they use to make their expresso are really something beyond. I had their caramel frappe chino & i fall in love with its every single sip. They charges 260bucks for one glass & i find it absolutely worth for money. Looking forward to my next visit.

I went there on my birthday. The girl at the counter was really sweet. She made me a card. And I got a free drink because of my birthday. That probably a new drink. And it was really awesome. Prices are really high though.

Starbucks is a tricky place to grab your coffee. While the Indian side of you thinks it's ludicrous to be paying such amounts for something as basic as this, you cannot help but feel a fleeting sense of guilt and pleasure when you take that perfect snapshot and dive right into it. Elitist or not, I like doing the latter once in a while. And the beverages are honestly not that bad, if you choose to ignore the subsequent burn in your pocket. I'm far from being an expert in this venue for I've been used to drinking 'kadak sa' black/milk coffee nearly all my life, but I'm familiar with my mochas/lattes/frappes/iced teas. And from that not-so-heightened platform I make a privileged observation and say, go for it. You need such experiences once in a while as well. Starbucks might not make a regular out of me yet, but it feels nice to clasp my venti cup plastered with my name on it, and then walking with an air of posh swirling 'round me as the onlookers pass me filthy, judgemental looks.

As a coffee addict I ordered a cafe americano to me and no wonder it was good and strong when comes to Starbucks coffee. Low sugar or no sugar as they serve you and the blend of coffee do makes it tastier.

The place is rather small unlike the other Starbucks in kolkata and Bombay, but the food doesn’t disappoint atall! I tried their red velvet cake and their cheery chocolate cake, absolutely delicious. In savoury I love their raps, they are really generously smeared with filling and every bite you can taste that. The new set of juices are also fresh and light on the palate, the only cation is the cold brew. If you not sure about the taste I will warn you on that! Overall a good place.

I took dark frape..it's costly but the coffee tasted heavenly.U can get every bit of coffee and cocoa when you will take a sip.It has two other branches also.So far it is the best place for a coffee lover.

Finally visited this popular coffee joint. The ambiance is really nice with quick service. We ordered hazelnut cappuccino and cheese croissant.. The croissant was delicious and the coffee was really nice.

The mother of cafés have hailed in the City of Joy and after a hectic schedule at work and multiple change of plans finally paid a visit to their Southcity outlet. The interior is great, very office like ; a great place to conduct casual meetings. Courteous staffs. Their midnight mocha is to die for *_*

First visit to the Kolkata branch tried as usual java chip frappo and amazing lip smacking roast chicken and ham croissant sandwich.. Would love to try other products soon

Indeed globalisation has led into the bringing of foreign companies and giving light to the cuisine of the platters of Bengal. Starbucks indeed makes beautiful and experimental coffees that one should give it a try. Service is indeed good. Quality is good. Infrastructure is good. It is definitely not overrated but I won’t mind stating that it is definitely way beyond the margin in economical POV. Well one could only wait and see what’s there to come in the coming years.

Whenever I visit South City mall, this outlet is a must for me. And every time I try to taste some new variants of coffee there. This time maybe the Iced Americana was not at its best for me, but will surely try something new and much enjoyable next time.

This outlet is like any other starbucks outlet.... Full marks to ambience and the staff... Coffee was decent but nothing out of the world.. Blueberry cheesecake and red velvet pastry is highly recommended

It was really a happening day for me. Not because, I went to Starbucks for having food, or that I went to Starbucks for the first time.<br/>It was special because, it was my first solo date with myself. I wasn't really sure about what people there would think or react to.<br/>But I was really hungry after shopping and thought why not give it a try to solo food date? And it wouldn't have been amazing without the staff, they were really sweet on their behave, they were serving extra tissues to me as they knew I am alone and repeatedly getting up for tissues might be tiring. Not, every outlet of Starbucks is this genuine and friendly. ❤️<br/><br/>Coming to the food part, I ordered -<br/><br/>➡️ Chicken Club Sandwich - Which was loaded with chicken and double layers of vegetables. It took me 45 mins to complete it alone fully. Didn't really know their sandwiches are so crispy other than the shakes, coffee and desserts. Totally enjoyed every bit of the bite.<br/><br/>➡️ Hazelnut Frappe - It was their Christmas launch add on. I loved it equally too, no one can beat them on frappes.<br/><br/>Such a stunning experience it was. You guys are doing great job. 😇<br/>Happy Dine In!<br/>

Starbucks coffee is a global brand.So their outlet also reflects the same.Be it's ambience , decor or food choices.The prices are bit on the higher side.However it's worth giving it a try if you want to taste their aromatic coffee or beverages and amazing food choices.They could be customized as well.I love the place and it's a must visit for me when I see one outlet around.

I've visited this outlet a couple of times, and I've always liked what they serve for the most part.<br/><br/>While the place is spacious enough, it's almost always crowded so finding a place might not be the easiest job.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, while Starbucks is known for their coffee, and that's the main reason for my visit. There are definitely some great options that you can choose from and I'll list a few of my favourites below. The food from here while being good, is nothing that stands out to me, and I've never really visit the place for their food. Considering all the hype around Starbucks, I decided not to lag behind and visited this very branch based in the South City Mall, Prince Anwar Shah Road.<br/><br/>Getting a place to sit is more of a challenge at this place considering the uncontrollable rush – scores of people awaiting their turns, but fortunately, I did not have to wait too long. <br/><br/>This is more of a self-service zone, but staff attend you with a smile. Went for a Paneer tandoori sandwich which came in modest quantity at very high prices, but most importantly, it was pretty tasty and that’s the only thing a foodie actually looks forward to!<br/><br/>Service is quick and ambience is fine, pro tip would be to come outside regular eating hours, else your appetite would be destroyed simply waiting to get a table!

Starbucks is a star in the world of coffee and resourced from the best beans. The chain being new to India one expects to be informed about the products and their special highlights. But there is no display of coffee-related information and the wall menu is a pie in the sky to be looked at with a telescope for myopic persons like me.<br/>The coffee and snacks were very good but lack of information left me and my friends dissatisfied.

Have frappachino once over here during the Rs 100 /beverage offer. Did not like the quality probably because they were delivering so many products at a time. However I'm sure they can do better.

Best place for coffee over conversation. Spacious, crowd is good. Ambience is 4.5/5. I would say everything is good about the place. The prices are bit high because of brand name. Still must go place for coffee lovers.<br/>.

I had ordered: <br/><br/>1) strawberries and creme venti : the drink was nicely mixed with creme topped on it but nothing super extraordinary. Probably will save my bucks next time. <br/><br/>2) choco chip venti : it was not sweet. It tasted more like cold coffee. <br/><br/>The place is extremely small and stuffy. It makes difficult to make a straight line for placing the order. Seating arrangement is very limited.

This is my second time. I love Starbucks. Various Cakes..😋 I tried the Blueberry Delite Cheesecake.. I think Redvelvet one is better. Oh Yes though I am a chocolate lover but still loves to try different flavors! Don't waste money on Coffee , Frappuccino and Cappuccino.

Starbucks has always been famous for serving us great coffee, shakes etc. So it doesn't need any introduction.<br/><br/>I quite loved the ambience.<br/><br/>We ordered a Choco java frappuccino and a Mocha Hazelnut crunch.<br/><br/>Both of them were delicious and delectable. Though the prices are a bit higher but it was quite good.<br/>We enjoyed the evening at Starbucks. Would love to visit again.

The most hyped about place.... Went with a friend... I ordered regular cappuccino and a red velvet pastry... My Friend ordered the mocha with whipped cream and a blueberry muffin.... My coffee and pastry were too good and I tasted a bit of my friend's muffin... It was so good and soft... It's definitely expensive but worth the money

This is the best Starbucks outlet in the city. Have been here many times and their ambience and the staff are really great. On one occasion a friend of mine dropped coffee and the staff immediately came and cleaned our table and bags. About their brews , what more can be said ? They are amazing , my all time favourite is their latte . The food they offer might seem a tad overpriced , but their coffees are unparalleled and a must try.
