Firstly talking of the ambience .. the ambience is very good! Comfortable seating arrangements are there .we have ordered pastas, garlic bread, soup, augratin, sizzler etc. Each of them tasted very good I specially love their mixed sauce pasta. The sauce was very creamy and the herbs were giving an extra kick to the whole dish! All over it was a very good experience out there. ☺️

Just beside Shanghai Co, The Cave is a themed restaurant perfect for a family get together. It is kids- friendly. We went there for a hangout and enjoyed ourselves quite a lot. For starters we ordered: Manchow Soup, Crispy Chilly Babycorn and Chinese Bhel. For main course we ordered: American Chopsey, Chilli Garlic Noodles and Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. And for the side dishes we ordered: Sweet and Sour Veg and Manchurian Gravy. All the items are really recommended. It was a gastronomical experience. Cheers and Happy Eating! ❤️

"The Cave" This place is located at Russell Street (Park street area). As the name it can be understood the cave it's totally designed like a cave. The ambiance is very much attractive and spacious. The staffs are courteous and polite. It's a great place to chill out with friends and family. Now coming to the Food section. They serve Chinese and North Indian food. It's completely a vegetarian restaurant and is fully air conditioned. The quality and quantity of the food is worth it as per price. Taste -5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Food -5/5 Highly recommend 🔥

The Cave, as the name suggests gives you an exotic feel of dining inside a cave. The decors are simple yet So enthralling. They have cute monkey hangings and wall decors . They have a huge seating area. It could easily accommodate 50 people at a time. Coming to the food, We ordered Quite a handful of items. Among the items we had, What I liked the most about them was the presentation. I really loved the "Cave Special Platter" & "Cheese Fondue". They tasted heavenly. Only con I found was that the staff was not that cooperative. Everything was perfect overall. 5/5

This is a vegetarian restaurant, but not Jain as they use onion and garlic. The restaurant completely themed based on stone age period. Rocky cave walls and pretty decorations were really good. Dahi kebab 3. Baby aloo tikka 4. Vegetable Jalfarezi with Cheese naan 5. Dal Makhani with Pudina laccha paratha 6. Methi matar malai with Masala kulcha 7. Rajasthani Masala Pulao 8. After visiting the cool places around Park street and Maidan one must have to eat good food for the 'Cherry on the cake' ending. This place definitely into that list of Restaurants that one should visit with Friends and Family when they are out on a trip or a together time. The place have good vibes all around. Staff was very friendly and food serving time is very less. My friend and I ordered #Creamy TOMATO soup for both starters and refreshers. The soup was yummy (slightly sour & more sweet) and the bread crumbs added to the falvours. For Main course we had #Paneer_Kajuwala #Punjabi_AlooDum along with Garlic cheese Naans. The gravy for both the cuisines were well textured and very differently tasted. The former had this Sweet cashewy flavour suiting with the light spices and paneer adding the buttery bond. The latter was very spicy (we asked for more spicy), potatoes were so soft and curry leaves added the smell into it. The Garlic cheese naan (always had Butter but tried cheese for the first time, and ll say go with butter or no butter, cheese is no better) could be little more softer and thinner, so that was okay. The ambience was new having a 'Jungle' like appearance. Overall, good place with reasonably priced food. #ThanksfortheFood

Last couple of days back I visited at this newly opened veg restaurant , situated at little russle Street and the nearby area of park Street...!! This is one of the most beautiful themed restaurant in our city which will surely give you the goosebumps..!! The entire ambience of this restaurant is like Inside of a cave where you will also be able to feel the environment of a cave..!! I visited over here for attending a get together which was being hosted a couple of my friends and we also a couple of dishes too..!! We started from starter item till desert item..!!! But I personally want to recommend to the people that whenever you will visit this place must do order penne pasta in mix sauce cause it's Just drooling and mouthwatering to have,, it's actually being served by deeped in a mix sauce which contains 3 to 4 type of sauces like starting from pesto sauce to garlic sauce which will actually make your mouth to be melt whenever you will having this..!! So I must recomend to all the people out there do visit this place once and have a great experience along with some great foods too..!!

Regards
Sayak das

Drop into the perfect Vegetarian hub of Kolkata - The Cave

Finding delicious, wholesome vegetarian food is not always easy when you’re eating out at a restaurant, but it’s totally possible when you make it at home. Kolkata is well known for serving delicious food that satisfies a wide range of tastes. The hottest new food trend in the city is the rising popularity of purely vegetarian restaurants, and some of these restaurants also come with interesting themes, novel food preparations, live bars and sports screen. Keeping in mind the classics and some newbies, here is a new baby in the food map of Kolkata - The Cave.

Where? The address reads 12C, Russel St, Park Street area. This one is very near street to Indian Bank, Russel street branch.

What's it about? When you walk in, you get transformed into a whole new experience. It is that of a rustic cave, where animals haunt on. Since it is amidst nature, the food is vegetarian. The place serves fusion North-Indian food. The otherwise mundane, everyday recipes and street food items are given a complete makeover to make it appealing not only to the tongue but also to the eyes.
It's the perfect place for a fun family lunch or dinner.

What did we try?
Soup:
Cream of Tomato Soup

Starters:
Baby Aloo Tikka
Dahi ke Kebab

Mains:
Vegetable Jhalfrezi
Dal Makhani
Methi Matar Malai
Cheese Naan
Butter Naan
Masala Kulcha
Onion Kulcha
Pudina Paratha
Rajasthani Masala Pulao

Desserts:
Gulab Jamun

What you shouldn't miss?
Baby Aloo Tikka - Grilled baby potatoes in lip-smacking Indian spices, grilled to ecstasy, served with the green Pudina chutney.

Dahi ke Kebab - Dahi Kebab is a very unusual Indian appetizer. These kebabs are made using hung curd, which is basically the strained thick yogurt grilled to perfection.

Dal Makhani - Creamy and buttery Dal Makhani is one of mybmost loved dal! This dal has whole black lentils cooked with butter and cream and simmered on low heat for that unique flavour.

Methi Matar Malai - Methi matar malai is a delicious and popular North Indian curry made with fenugreek leaves, peas and cream. The creamy, smooth, delicious and fragrant delicacy stands out.

Hot Gulab Jamun - soft delicious berry sized balls made of milk solids, flour, soaked in rose flavored sugar syrup and enjoyed Hot and supple.

So, if you are searching for the place to sit and eat out vegetarian delicacies,The Cave is the newest den for you.
Cheers!

Enjoy heartwarming Vegetarian meal @ The Cave, Park Street.!

Situated at a walking distance from The Park, this vegetarian restaurant is located inside a building complex, just diagonally opposite to The Bengal Club. What separates this restaurant from its nearby counterparts, is its ambiance, and the beautiful cave like structure on the outside and inside. On a very first impression, you would literally be transported to be getting ready to dine inside on a restaurant situated on the mountains, getting wooed by the cave-like structure you see from outside. The inside is picturesque too, with the lovely lights hanging from the top, and monkeys clinging onto them.

We started with a cream of tomato soup, which had a rustic tomato soup, with cream poured generously from the top. The soup was thick, much like shorba and tasted well to begin with. Next to come were Baby Aloo Tikka and Dahi ke Kebab, both of which were done to perfection. The baby potatoes were soft and easy to break into, and so were the delectable kebabs made from yoghurt. Pair these with the pudina chutney, and you are set for the main course. For the next part, we opted for a hearty vegetable jhalfrezi, a popular vegetarian maincourse along with Dal Makhani.

The latter deserves a special mention here, due to its creamy and buttery texture. The Dal was boiled well, and was evident as all the lentils had literally dissolved and all that remained was a thick stew of lentils. Another fine dish was the Methi Matar Malai, which had peas cooked with fenugreek and cream and were a sheer delight to our tastebuds. We paired these dishes with Butter Naan, Cheese Naan, Masala Kulcha, Onion Kulcha, Pudina Paratha and a Rajasthani Masala Pulao, the latter of these being the showstopper.

We ended our meal with some lovely hot Gulab Jamuns, which literally dissolved in our mouth, as and when they went it. This place also serves a good buffet at quite an affordable price, if you were looking for cheap, but good alternatives to your daily meal.

#vegetarian #alacarte #buffet #starters #kebabs #maincourse #jhalfrezi #desserts #naan #pulao #gulabjamun #vegetarian #thecave #whenstomachtickles

Park street, I assume is the most happening place in Kolkata with tons of plush hotels and people do pay a visit for fancy dinners and booze. But amongst us who love to indulge in some non vegetarian dishes there are some people who absolutely love vegetation dishes as well. For meeting their needs, The Cave is a ready-to-go restaurant for a gala vegetarian spread with an awesome ambience resembling a cave itself. An exact 7 mins walk from Maidan Metro, this place will take you to the ancient days where you can relish sumptuous food.
Went there a few days back and clicked some funny pictures with a giant elephant in front of the restaurant and had some amazing dishes namely,
Manchow Soup, Crispy Chilly Babycorn, Chinese Bhel, American Chopsey, Chilli Garlic Noodles, Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Veg and Manchurian Gravy. It would be too long to describe each of the dishes, but in a nutshell, one should definitely come down and enjoy the dishes. Good quality and good quantity makes the place stand out. Very satisfied and Happy!

Recently I visited this place with a few of my friends and I had a wonderful time there. Although a pure vegetarian restaurant, the food is quite appealing. The ambience is pretty goofy, featuring the characteristics of a cave. We tried the crispy chilli baby corn, chinese bhel, manchow soup, American chopseye, chilli garlic noodles, burnt garlic fried rice, which all tasted quite amazing. The staff were courteous too. Overall quite a good experience.

This restaurant is situated at Park Street, so few days back i was here along with my friends. This is totally a veg restaurant. The ambience was good and the staffs were also very humble and cooperative. Coming to the food part, we ordered:

Manchow Soup
Crispy Chilly Babycorn
Chinese Bhel
American Chopsey
Chilli Garlic Noodles
Burnt Garlic Fried Rice
Sweet & Sour Veg
Manchurian Gravy

All the items tasted good. Overall had a nice expirience. Do give a try.

And one thing to mention is that, they have launched a new combo pack of Chinese which is worth Rs.349 and they also launched a combo pack of Continental which costs 449.

Thank You.
Happy Dining.

Plush interiors, cheerful chefs and a joyful ambience; you will automatically get transcended into the stone-age era as you enter the rustic, robust and resplendent Cave, one of the best veg restaurants in South Kolkata. The Cave is the first of its kind multi-cuisine veg restaurant where their delicious menu is bound to make your experience magical and satisfying.

The irresistible range of Indian, Chinese, Continental gastronomies will give your taste buds a treat; while the unique décor will give you a real feel of a cave.
We ordered Paneer ke Sholay in the main course. Tender, stuffed, cubes of paneer are skewered with crunchy vegetables and grilled to perfection! In the main course we ordered Garlic Naan, Kulcha, Lahori Paneer and Dal Makhni. The food here is amazing and the quantity can suffice two to three people fully. Do drop here and try out their amazing veg delicacies.

Yesterday was surfing through zomato , and i stumpled upon this weird looking place which i supposedly thought of being a themed restaurant, The Cave which is located in park street, very feasible which is why i thought of trying our their food. The place is a bit oddly located in park street. But the food which i tried out there was commendable and worth praising for. This is a vegetarian restaurant serving delicious North Indian, as well as chinese.
You won't believe the fact that they serve 5 course lunch menu( 1soup, 1starter, 2main course, 1dessert) at just Rs.349/- which is great and if the food tastes this good, it is crazzyyy.
So, in my opinion i think this place being veg is totally underrated and i think we should definately check out this hidden gem in ParkStreet. Also if your are lookin for a place under budget, this is it.
Few of the dishes which i tried are: Sweet Corn Soup
Paneer ke Sholay (Recommended)
Popeye Shashlik (Highly Recommended)
Chinese Bhel
Crostini
Lahori Paneer (Highly Recommended)
Sabj Jaipuri (Recommended)
Dal Makhani
Hakka Noodles (Highly Recommended)
Manchurian Gravy
Masala Kulcha
Butter Naan
Tutti Fruti

Really loved their food and was quite impressed with the service as well.
Overall would love to visit here again.

Until then,
Happy Dining

The Cave is a casual dining restaurant at the forefront of Russel Street serving tasty vegetarian dishes. The place is craftfully built, and has the exact appearance of a cave. It specialises in Chinese, North Indian and Continental cuisines, and shines through in terms of quality.

Some of the dishes we tried here include:

Sweet Corn Soup

Starters:
Paneer ke Sholay
Popeye Shashlik
Chinese Bhel
Crostini

The starters are well cooked to perfection, and I would especially recommend the Paneer ke Sholay as this dish perfectly demonstrates the flavour of the tandoor and is soft and delectable.

Mains:

Lahori Paneer
Sabj Jaipuri
Dal Makhani
Hakka Noodles
Manchurian Gravy
Masala Kulcha
Butter Naan

Special mention to the Sabj Jaipuri, probably the best veg dish I've had in a while. The Dal Makhani could've used some more salt, and the Chinese dishes are pretty scrumptious as well.

Dessert:

Tutti Fruti

As a vegetarian restaurant, this place does quite well in coming up with delicious recipes that go way more into filling the tummy. A perfect place to try out for a fun outing, great in terms of quality and surely recommended! 😊

Since you are deprived of entering a cave in the city, this is your chance to experience one. Yes, as the name suggests, the restaurant has walls mimicking a cave but in all honesty. Perhaps the owners took the name quite seriously. Coming to the food, it is a vegetarian-only menu with quite family-friendly choices. Typical North Indian and Chinese food with a few continental dishes.

Recommending:
From the starters :
Paneer Sholay
Popeye Shashlik

From the main course :
Masala Kulcha
Paneer Lahori
Sabj Jaipuri

From the desserts you can give any sweet tooth a try!

What to say about this place. The interiors, the ambiance, the vibes and the paneer ke sholay, paneer stuffed with mashed cheese, the best starter pack. The chinese bhel was also amazing. The food quality is amazing at a reasonable price with meal ranging from Rs349 to 499. Loved the main course as well. Last but not the least comes the tutti frutti desert. Amazing look and great taste it had. A perfect place to chill for our vegetarian friends and family.

My recent visit to this restaurant, was a lovely experience. This place is themed just like a cave, as the name suggests and has plenty of props and stuffed animals to make is, suggestive of a cave. This place has a dimly lit ambience.
Coming to food, I loved having Popeye Shashlik and Paneer Ke Sholay for starters. The main course is the best part of their food. The Hakka noodles is really tasty and works well with the veg Manchurian. The stuffed kulcha, Daal Makhani and Mixed veg was lovely. A special mention for the mixed veg. It was super tasty.
For desserts, we had had tooty fruity, which was decent.
Thank you Cave for inviting me over.

This is a vegetarian restaurant perfect for vegan dinners. It is located inside an alleyway so it maybe difficult to find for newcomers. However the decor at the entrance is sure to catch the eye of any passerby. Service is excellent and fast, air conditioning is well and ambiance is good. Sitting can be more comfortable.

I have ordered:-

Sweet Corn Soup

Paneer ke Sholay

Popeye Shashlik

Chinese Bhel

Lahori Paneer

Sabj Jaipuri

Dal Makhani

Hakka Noodles

Manchurian Gravy

Masala Kulcha

Butter Naan

Tutti Fruti

Taste -5/5

Ambiance - 4/5

They don't take reservations on Saturday and Sunday. The quality and quantity of the food is worth it as per price.

The place is a little bit different from the other normal veg restaurants. Recommended for non veg people too to try some amazing veg dishes.

The Cave is a pure vegetarian restaurant located at Russell Street right beside Shanghai Co restaurant.
The ambiance of the place is just like a cave as the name suggests.
Started off with some starters, and loved the
Paneer ke Sholay, grilled paneer stuffed with a layer of mashed cottage cheese tasted delicious.
Popeye Shashlik was presented in a great way in shots glasses with paneer satay in a sweet honey based dip
Crostini was a lovely dish with small crispy bread topped with bell peppers and cheese.
For Main course ordered Hakka Noodles with Veg
Manchurian. The noodles tasted great.
They also have some amazing offers on a full course meal for a person ranging between 349-449 only, including 4-5 dishes with starters, desserts and sides.
Pocket friendly place.

'The Cave'- as the name might suggest, is indeed a cave theamed restaurant located in Park Street, besides the Queen's Mansion building.
This pure veg restaurant is beautifully decorated, to replicate a pre-historic cave. The walls are painted to recreate the feel and texture of rocks present inside a cave. The walls are adorned by artificial plants and masks. Although not truely explicit, but they have surely got the right vibe. Attention to details is easily observed.

Now coming to the food, The Cave serves multicuisine vegeterian delicacies, and I have tried the following items-

Broccoli Pepper Soup : The soup had an overpowering flavour of bell peppers, which subdued the other elements of the soup. It wasn't thick, but taste was somewhat okay.

Manchow Soup : It's a dark brown soup prepared with various vegetables and flavored with generous doses of soy sauce, salt, garlic and chili peppers. The crispy noodles on the side added a nice crunch.

Dahi Ke Kabab : This famous north indian appetizer is made from a beautiful amalgamation of hung yougurt and spices. The Kebab were rich in taste and had a nice melt in the mouth texture.

Classic Cheese Fondu : Melted chesse was served in a bowl over a candle to maintain it's texture, along with toasted croutons and veggies to dip in the fondue. It was perfect for the cheese lovers.

Rajasthani Kofta : Panner koftas were served in a rich and creamy yellow gravy. The flavours were subtle, and had a sweet note.
We savoured it with Afghani Kulcha, which was very soft and had a good amount of filling inside.

Dum Biryani : Veg biriyani isn't a something easy to make, and the Cave has surely not succeded in producing the perfect biriyani. The spices did not feel right, and it was extremely oily.

Darshan : As we came to the end of our meal, it was time for something sweet. The darshan was beautifully crispy and the vanilla ice cream added a nice contrast to the textures.

Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream : The name of the dish is enough to allure anyone to order this, but I would certainly suggest skipping this. Instead of brownie, we were served a flavourless piece of cake. Even the vanilla icecream or the chocolate sauce could not save the dish.

Overall, there is much scope for improvement in terms of both food and service.

Cave is an ancient cave themed cafe located inside queens manson building at park street . Feeding a hard core non vegetarian veg food and then getting praise is not at all an easy job and i found it slightly disappointing .

Not one of the best of places in the surrounding but yet it has some interesting features that nobody else possess . Firstly the theme is unique , sliding doors , walls are coloured to replicate stones even the ac's are painted to match the theme. They serve multiple cuisine but is a full vegetarian place . Mostly their dishes lag precision and are not upto the mark considering the amount they are charging. But there are a very few positives which i am going to discuss below.

Broccoli Pepper Soup : A soup made of lots of chopped capsicum and brocoli , not thick but just a marriage of some veggies with added hot water.

Manchow Soup : this one being slightly better due to its punch coming from onion and garlic also it has a crunch from the crispy noodles .

Dahi Ke Kabab: The famous vegetarian starter made of curd and other spices . The kebabs were tasty perfectly soft and the green chutney served along added to its flavour.

Classic Cheese Fondu : Cheese fondue is always a go to dish for cheese lovers . Here it was served with croutons and some grilled veggies . Crouton is a small piece of fried or toasted bread . I would have appreciated a bit more of grilled veggies which wasn't there.

Quesadilla Monteray Jack Cheese : Quesadilla is a popular mexican taco dish where tortillas are filled with choppes vegetable , cheese and spices. This was served with tomato salsa and mayo dip . An average dish to be honest.

Rajasthani Kofta with Masala Kulcha : we had this beautiful combination of masala kulcha with rajasthani kofta , both of them being sweet hence I would suggest to have something spicier with the sweet Koftas which are served in a thich yellowish gravy , made of chenna .

Dum Biryani: This was very bad , just cut veggies added with boiled rice doesn't make it a biryani, this should be avoided .

Darshan: Something good to end our meal with , crunch honey noodles served with vanilla ice cream scope .

Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream: Again something which need to be changed as soon as possible. This wasn't a brownie rather a cake that too had very bad flavour , this item should be immediately improved if not then should be removed from the menu .

Overall not a good experience for me.

Remember the days when we used to imagine what would happen if we were present during stone age and eating? Well this is not an imagination any more. At The Cave Restaurant it has become a reality and for foodies like us who likes to explore such places will surely be fascinated by this place. The place is located 12, Russell Street in park street area, just opposite of The Bengal Club. It will take about 2-3mins if you walk from park street metro station gate number 3 and is very easy to locate. The place is themed on stone age cave not only from outside but from inside also. From outside when you slide the door to get in you will definitely feel like entering in some sort of cave. Then after entering the wall decors, and interiors used will certainly blow your mind. On top of this, their service is very fast yet polite and respectful. Now coming to food we tried some foods based on our choice and some based on their recommendation. The details are following, We started with their unique mocktails. 🔸Thai Pinacolada- This was white in colour, creamy and had a distinct flavour of pineapple in it. Tasted very smooth. 🔹Litchi Sling- This was a triple layered mocktail and had flavour of litchi in it which was really refreshing. Then we moved on to the soups and here we had, 🔸Broccoli Pepper Soup- This looked like typical soup that we all are accustomed to see. Taste wise it was good and was full of finely chopped Broccoli and other veggies. Tasted great if you sprinkle black pepper powder over it. 🔹Manchow Soup- This was the star. Tasted wonderful and had a light aroma also which enlightened the overall experience. Then we moved to the starters which we all waited eagerly as both items were recommended by them. 🔸The Cave Special Platter- This platter had four different kebabs, each three in number. This had paneer hariyali kebab, paneer tikka kebab, dahi ke kebab and stuffed aloo kebab. Each tasted good. 🔹Dahi Ke Kabab- This kebab was literally outstanding. Had a unique combination of sweet and sour flavour. Best of the lot. Then we tried main course items in which we had, 🔸Classic Cheese Fondu- This was presented in a unique way, a pot boiling on a steel rack which had a slow flame steadily burning. Breads when dipped in this cheese dip, it tasted heavenly. 🔹Quesadilla Monteray Jack Cheese- On a personal note this was not upto the mark in taste and was blunt also. 🔸The Cave Special Sizzler- This was also good as the rice tasted well with roasted aloo and veg patty which was covered by mayo. 🔹Rajasthani Kofta- We took this as a dish dish for kulcha and naan and it tasted really well. The pieces of kofta were the best in taste among all dishes. 🔸Desi Videshi- This is also a mix veg item mostly containing bell peppers and capsicum. 🔹Tawa Veg- This was more or lesslike desi videshi. Tasted nice. 🔸Afgani Naan- It was soft and was quite big in size. This tasted better with desi videshi. 🔹Masala Kulcha- The stuffing in kulcha tasted awesome. This particular item and rajasthani kofta is just made for each other. Both tasted great together. 🔸Dum Biryani- This tasted more like peas polao and I personally feel the aroma of biriyani was missing from this item. So it was not up to the mark. After these, we tried dessert items in which we tried, 🔸Darshan- This is a typical chinese dessert and was served with vanilla ice cream on top of it in a glass. Taste wise it was satisfactory. 🔹Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream- This was amazing to see. When the chocolate sauce was poured on brownie and ice cream it was literally sizzling. Taste wise brownie could be a little better but was good when you taste it together with ice cream. Overall you want to try veg delicacies in a completely different ambience then The cave is your solution. You can enjoy good food at pocket friendly price and also enjoy the beautiful cave like ambience at the same time.. I would definitely recommend this outlet as a must visit place for all.

The decoration is quite good as per the theme. The seating area is quite huge and comfortable. Though a little bit oily but it went went with the raita. The assorted naan ( Afghani, kulcha) was soft ( when served hot) , it went great with the side dishes . My personal favourite was tawa veg. The other side dish was good too. The kofta was fabulous.

Desserts :- Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream :- The meal was ended with a sweet note, the brownie was good but could be better a lit bit. Though the presentation was great and the ice cream went great with the hot chocolate poured brownie.

The overall experience was good. Last week we tried this veg outlet .It is located at park street. From park street metro station its 5 minute walking distance.

Ambience was good and unique. It gives u feel like that you are going to enter in a cave. Ambience wise its name perfectly suited. I would like to suggest some themed music if possible do arrange. I know its cave not forest but still i was missing some background music. Elephant structure was outside the outlet which was good. And the best thing was their ACs also themed in respect to maintain cave theme.

Staff behaviour was good. Their delivery was fast. .we didnt need to wait too much for food. We were in large group so yes we ordered different dishes.
Now coming to the food.

We tried different dishes like-

Thai Pinacolada was great and refreshing.
Litchi Sling which i found it good though it could have been better.

Broccoli Pepper Soup and Manchow Soup was nice .

The Cave Special Platter was one of the best platter. It was fresh and i tried veg sizzler for the first time.

Rajasthani Kofta,Afgani Naan,Masala Kulcha tasted good too.

Dum Biryani was bit disappointing in my opinion
Its bit oily .

Darshan and Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream was the main attraction ...

So all the dishes were good overall. We had nice experience out there. So love to recommend this place to all. Thank you.........

Situated in the Parkstreet area is the vegan restaurant. Themed on the cave, it actually is kind of turned its indoors into a cave like ambience. It was really exciting to sit in a stony atmosphere. The food was vegan. The staff was quite helpful.
We had-
Thai Pinacolada - It was a refreshing drink with the taste of coconut overpowering the other ingredients.
Litchi Sling - This drink was quite pretty with a lichi flavour.

Broccoli Pepper Soup - A healthy soup with a lot of vegetables.
Manchow Soup - It was quite a delicious soup served with fried chows.

The Cave Special Platter - This came with 4 different kinds of kababs.
Dahi Ke Kabab - Dahi kabab was a real delish and a must try one here.

Classic Cheese Fondu - One of the best item here served with croutons and vegetables.
The Cave Special Sizzler - Chicken sizzler served with vegetables.

Rajasthani Kofta - This one had a delicious gravy and goes best with the Naan.

Afgani Naan
Masala Kulcha

Dum Biryani - This seemed more of a Pulao.

Darshan
Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream - Served on hot sizzling tava, this dessert is an instagram worthy.

I recently visited this place. "The Cave" as the name suggests it's ambiance is totally like A cave. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. It's fully air conditioned and a good place to hop in and have a quick bite with family and friends. We ordered Cheese Fondue , The Cave special Platter and Brownie with Icecream. I really liked the food. Specially the Cheese Fondue. The quality and the taste of the food was worth it as per the money spent. Ambiance -5/5 Food - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Verdict - Great service . If you are thinking of having a quick bite then surely visit this place 📍 Highly recommend 🔥

5/5

The restaurant has good food with below average quantity compared to price and the bad service. The staff keep dreaming at times, discussing withing themselves before taking any action. The Worst part being they served Onion-Garlic Food to Jain people even after informing them.Very disappointed with this restaurant.
Sneha Mohanty
Basically Chinese cuisine of these restaurant is good we had 3-4 varieties of noodles but i didnt remember the names.
I wished i could try mocktails too but unfortunately that day that person was not available. Orelse the place is good bit cozy kind of not such big restaurant , and as the name suggest "CAVE" so the entire interior theme was like that.

The interior is too good. It looks like cave only. Even air conditions are coloured like cave. Staters are too good. Quantity should be improved .

I have visited this place for a weekend dinner, though I was lil sceptical about this place with the ratings on Zomato still I decided to visit. Here is the experience

Decor/Ambience:
Place is bit cozy and theam as the name suggest "cave", they tried hard to give the feel of cave. There are couple of big families visiting the place with lil cute kids who are bit noisy but the manager was seems okay with this. Space per person is not apt and seating capacity is more than it supposed to be.
Rating: 3/5

Service:
I asked for my booked table which has been provided the very moment I entered, impressive. However I was kept seated, clicked few selfies and pics of the restaurant but none of the waiter bothered to ask for water or give us the menu. After almost 15 minutes, I asked for water and menu. Here my expectations were vanished with the place. No table mats and napkins were there, highly disappointed.
Rating:1/5

Food: As we say food is the king in any restaurant. And ordered the basic things to avoid more disappointmented

Tomato soup: Soup is below average, sweetness is on higher side instead of lil spicy.
Manchow soup: Taste is so flat. Infact they forget to put the salt in it. Disaster!! We told this thing to chef, they said they will check this and they gave the same soup back and we did not know which bowls is of whom.. super disaster!!
Chinese bhel: taste is decent. Tried to give is lil pinch of western taste and somehow managed.
Lahori paneer: Its good in taste and the best amongst what we ordered.
Dal Makhni: It was good and near perfect.
Palak corn: Nothing special which can be mentioned.
Fried Rice: Very ordinary and average.
Rating: 2/5

Pricing: Its very competitive or infact on the lower side in comparison to the other similar restaurants.

Overall Rating: 2/5

#thecave #kolkata #parkstreetrestaurant #zomatogold #dineout #northindian #Chinese

I have visited this restaurant few times before and it's name was Ganapati, now it renovated in cave theme.

I have ordered Hara Bhara paneer and garlic nan for lunch and when it arrived it was palak paneer sabji but it was delicious and Garlic Nan was superb with proper garlic punched.

Service is excellent and fast, air conditioning is well and ambiance is good. Sitting can be more comfortable, However I recommend this restaurant for delicious foods.

Very poor experience. Bad food and no manners to talk. These people doesn’t know the basic principles of hospitality
They have lack of coordination
You need to tall one thing to two or more staff to let your voice heard
If you want to waste your time and money then visit this or else a big NO
Very bad experience
The manager or cashier what so ever banged the door on my face when I am asking him about the waiting time.. no manners to talk to their customers.. as if selling food for free...
This themed restaurant was easy to locate, near Park Street Metro Station, The Russell Exchange. The theme has been worked upon very well. The interior is dark and gives a feel of being inside a cave.

For starters, we had ordered Crispy Chilli Babycorn and honestly, it tasted average. For the main course we had ordered Mixed Vegetable, Dal Makhani, Masala Kulcha and Garlic Naan. The experience started at low but bloomed high in the main course. It was a hearty delight.

Courteous staff and good service. Pocket pinch- 6/10.

Poor quality of food. Late service. The staffs were very rude. Not worth it. Not recommended. The cafe is very small. Drinks were not good enough too. Choices for desserts were very limited.

Located in the heart of park street having delicious main course. Starters was also good. We ordered Paneer75 and baby corn which were delicious. In Roti we ordered Masala kulcha nd Cheese garlic naan. Cheese in the naan was negligible. Talking about ambience they tried to design it like cave. But that was hot. Out of 4ac only 1 was working.

The only best thing I had in their restaurant is this LOADED NACHOS. Apart from this, their service is too slow and they don't have all the items in their menu available all the time.
I feel , they are best for their starters only.

Ordered dal makhani and got yellow dal which is taste-less and naan was all burnt. Very bad taste.
Also the garlic naan is having a very burnt taste.

Food was superb.. but not the ambience. Too much noise, too much clumsy.. service is not up to the mark..overall average experience. Family type place, not for couples..

The place is definitely deserves more than 3 stars for its food, but our dining experience wasn't so good. Thus, the rating.

This We Tried:
1. Veg Manchurian Dry
2. Veg Sizzler
3. Burnt Garlic Rice
4. Mexican Rice

The Good:
1. The food tastes really good
2. The menu is pretty exhaustive
3. The interiors and the setting are quite unique
4. The place is easily accessible

The Not So Good:
1. It's not a very large place. The management has cramped up a lot of tables within it. This makes the whole place quite congested.
2. Most of the items on the menu were not available
3. The service is really really bad. Despite calling the waiters multiple times, the service time to us was quite high.

Overall, it's a good place with very good food. If you plan on going there, go during non-peak hours. Also, the place is going to be quite noisy. So if you are looking for a somewhat private and quiet place, you might want to look somewhere else.

Located in Russel Street. The place is not too big and the interior was also average.
I tried :
The Cave special sizzler with noodles - Rs. 389
Dal makhani - Rs. 229
Malai Kofta - Rs. 229
Butter naan and masala kulcha - Rs. 80 each

The quantity of food was good but the taste was not as per my expectations.
I would like to rate their food - 3/5
The Cave

In love with this place totally. Be it the ambience or the food or the service.
.
The North Indian is too delicious, especially Dal Makhni, I order it frequently from here.
.
The Bharwan Tandoori Aloo and Mangolian is a must try over here.
.
Panner butter masala, aloo do pyaza are amazing. (quantity is a bit less though)
.
Chinese bhel was okay-ish.
The food was awesome and delicious. I had ordered Pander Butter Masala and Aloo Do Pyaza which tasted very good. But the quantity of the sabzi was a little less when compared to other restaurants. The breads were also good. The starters were also good.

Very disappointing food. We ordered a variety ranging from north indian to Italian but every item was bad. Starring from paneer tikka where the paneer was hard and rubbery to their nachos which according to their menu was described to be served with cheese and salsa but there wasn't any cheese whatsoever! We can definitely differentiate between Alfredo sauce and cheese. Then came penne pasta in pink sauce which was undercooked. The penne was literally sticking to the teeth because it was raw. Last but not the least, the addition to another item we ordered that was paneer shashlik. The vegetables were tasting and smelling really odd as if they had gone bad or were cooked in non-vegetarian sauce despite claiming to be vegetarian restaurant. Horrific food. Horrible experience. Never stepping in again. The only thing to keep their food down was their mocktails which was decent. That's 2 grand from my wallet that I am never seeing again! #foodiedisappointed #neveragain #newchef #getone

I had zomato gold id which the staff refused to accept. Gave reasons that you are 7 people and so you cant use 1 id. From start they did not wanted to accept. And zomato customer service was also of no help. Looting its customers. Not renewing my membership. Staff there were directly saying no without knowing the facilities.
Quantity of the food was very less. We ordered kadhai panner - It was terrible. Other food items were okay - Nor too good nor too bad. I would like to avoid this restaurant in future.

Recently heard about this new baby in Park Street area. The restaurant has come at the same place which earlier used to house Om Ganpati opposite to Gangaur at Russel street. Had simple lunch of dal makhani, Handi paneer, naan n veg pulao. I must say the veg pulao was one of the best that I have had. Dal n paneer was cooked to perfection. Hope to visit again to try their starters and mocktails.

Would not recommend this place this anyone who would love to have some authentic Indian cuisine.

Food is not good at all, though service was fast and up to the mark but food taste is minus rated.

It was a below average experience as per my expectation and reviews in Zomato. Overall food was decent and there's was nothing special for which we can say 'Let's go to cave, its food is amazing'. Have to work alot in servicing and appetizers. Service was nice but has to work upon your taste of food.
Thanks alot for having me. I hope next time there must be something special👍

Good food... but very slow service nice decor but expected a little more lights. The portion size is on the lower end. We went with family on a weekday.

I don't review often unless it's some great news. However, You should eat here only if you don't value your life dearly.

*The food has generous amounts of PLASTICS thrown in.*

Yes the plastics is in rotis and in koftas and possibly in other places where you don't expect to find it.

BE CAREFUL!
The place is horrible. We called up and enquired about the happy hour offer. They confirmed the offer. On reaching the place they had a very negative attitude. They served us nothing and were searching a special menu for 15-20 mins and were very rude. I cant say about the taste because we left the place. Thanks for this 5 star service.

Good place to go with friends as food is also good and especially the quantity of the food is really adequate. Thus I can say that you should go and try this place .
