We got here for lunch and we ordered two chicken biryani with raita and mutton kasha and salad and oh lord the food was so yummy. Absolutely loved the food, will visit again.

Good food with an amazing variety of choices--North Indian, Italian/Continental, Chinese/Tibetan, and Thai. Many vegetarian options are available. This is a great place for breakfasts, served all day. Located near Indian Museum. Only downside is the TV at times playing horrible old Indian movies.

I have used this cafe for more than a decade and it continues to be an excellent place for fresh good food. Going anywhere between Park Street and New Market and I would visit this place. Neat and tidy and food is always fresh n tasty. Service excellent.

All time favourite with a value for money continental choice of cuisine.. Situated right in the centre of sudder street in the heart of esplanade, this is a crowd favourite among both the foreign tourists as well as Indians.. My personal favourites include the burgers, sandwiches, chicken pepper steak, chicken lasagne and the shepherd's pie.. The variety pan cakes are nice too.. Do not expect fine dining experience out here, just go for good food and you return with a happier tummy

A nice place to chill out with friends over a nice cup of coffee or tea. Some nice offerings in the form of Chinese/Continental snacks. We simply loved the baked pasta. It was out of the world. The cheese balls and schezwan noodles were not something to write home about.

This is one of the best pocket friendly joints I have ever eaten from in Kolkata. The decor and ambience are very ordinary, but the food is out of the world. We had ordered two mugs of cold coffee and two mugs of chocolate milk shake, fish and chips and Tai Pei chicken for starters and two helpings of baked fish for main course. To top it off, we ordered two bowls of chocolate pudding with flame which was the icing on the cake. Needless to say, the staff were extremely courteous. I would love to visit this place again.

Went there this Christmas. To be honest at first we were a little doubtful about this place but after tasting there so heard about chicken lasagne all our doubts were blown up. Tge chicken lasagne was so good and cheesy with a good amount of chicken that it just melted our buds. The singapore rice noodles and hot garlic noodles were delicious as well to which the chicken dishes gave a perfect pairing. The cosy and comfortable atmosphere makes the place more lively. Perfect to hangout with groups. Wanna go there again.

Located at 3, Sudder St, Fire Brigade Head Quarter, New Market Area, Dharmatala, Taltala, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016, Blue Sky cafe is an unpretentious and inexpensive café on Sudder Street and is something of a landmark in the area. There is nothing remarkable about this place as far as appearances go (except that it is very crowded in the evenings), but they serve a big multicuisine spread-Continental, Indian and Chinese and a delightful assortment of shakes and fresh juice, burgers (try the chicken sunrise burger) and sandwiches. Try the classic grilled fish with lemon butter sauce or the cheese-laden chicken a la king, the boozy chocolate pudding with flame (flambéed basically) or the cheese omelette. It is best to stick to the continental fare here.

Excellent food & pocket friendly. A one stop solution for any meal throughout the day... The best place to eat at Sudder Street! Have been here a number of times, the following are my some of the things I've tried over time: 1. Grilled Chicken Burger - 5⭐️ [The MUST HAVE at Blue Sky Cafe, if you love meat. Accompanied by the French Fries, this burger is pure bliss] 2. Chiki Chicken Pizza - 4⭐️ [A lot of cheese and meat, something for the non-spicy lovers] 3. Fresh fruit juices - 5⭐️ [You know its fresh when its fresh. Though my personal favourite is the orange, but any seasonal fruit serves the purpose quite well] 4. Espresso- 4⭐️ [Nothing can go wrong with a double shot of espresso] One of my all time favourite places to eat at, a hearty experience every time. A solid 5⭐️

Small local place, friendly, great food really tasty. Very reasonably priced and the flavour was as good as some of the expensive restaurants I have eaten in on my holiday.
Divyapriya Chandrasekaran
Good food, minimal rate. Wide varieties of Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisine. I ordered Thai veg noodles and water melon juice. My frd ordered chicken dish and mint juice. Both of us liked the food. Because of wide varieties and cheap rate people flock to this shop. Very close to Indian musuem.
Tithi Das
Good quality exotic foods in regular price. Schzwan chicken noodles is a must try.

We always visit BlueSkyCafe, only to taste the yummy Mixed Gravy Chow (our preference) and Pan fried Prawns😋😋😋. Every dish on the menu is delicious ✌🏻. Cash and Cards accepted here. Very very friendly staff and comfortable seating arrangement. There could be an issue with parking right in front of the restaurant (cafe) but there is plenty of parking lots available around the cafe. Located in the heart of the city, around Sudder Street. I would highly recommend this cafe to all who wish to enjoy a healthy breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner😊. Thank you for your awesome service, we shall see you again, soon!! Cheers👍🏻

Hidden gem in new market area. Lots of foreigners come to this place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonable rate. Portion size is average. But dishes taste good.
Shuvashree Pathak
Nice Food but in a affordable price.. not so spacious but offers delicious foods and beverages.. located in proper esplanade market area. Chinese American Indian cuisines are available and burgers fries are available too. Do try their burgers. It's yummy and so affordable

I ordered Chicken biryani.
Compared to the price, the quantity & quality was good , although the Chicken piece could have been a little bigger, but still it's okay. The biriyani was so delicious.
Krishani Poddar
This is an old place with normal seating arrangement.
I tried their famous double chicken lasagne and let me tell you this is a must try. One of the best lasagne i have ever tried. Tasted amazing. Also tried their barcetta cheese burst pizza which was not that good. I did not like the crust and did not feel like cheese burst. Lastly, chocolate pudding with flame which was okayish.(4/5) Good place in new market. Ambience not great but the lasagne was awesome. Also the menu is not updated in zomato. The prices of the items are higher by Rs30-40 than mentioned in the menu which is in zomato

Food is awesome . Also service is quite fast.

Heard a lot about this place so thought to try out . From North Indian to Italian every cuisine is present on their menu and all of them has equal appreciation. I ordered :
▪︎Double Chicken Lasagna - more cheesy and with good amount of chicken stuffed in it . Sufficient for 2 tastes, great .
▪︎Deep Dish Pizza - tasted good but was not quite a deep dish with very less cheese which was really disappointing. And the cheese burst pizza was also unavailable.
The prices ar quite pocket friendly but the quantity seemed a bit less . Otherwise the taste is appreciable .

This old retro cafe in the hearts of Kolkata has my heart too........
The ambiance is small and cosy but good for groups......The usp of this place is that you can sit relax and talk to any person as there are many tourist gatherings from different countries.
The food is one of the best, whether Chinese Indian or Italian each item has its own way of impressing us......must try are chicken wings.
Highly recommended this place because of its great quality and pricing..
Follow us on Instagram - khete_dao
For Vlogs on YouTube - OUTSTATION

Located in Esplanade (in the next lane of Sreeleathers). Visited here a long time ago.
The ambience is however not so good but the food served here will definitely hit your taste buds; many foreigners visit here.
We tried fried wantons (which was a new dish for me) - it was good and had cabbage stuff inside it but was very much oily.

Last week I visited this cafe for the first time. The ambiance was good. Not a very big cafe but things were pretty clean. Loved the tea so much. For small talk and for some good food you should try this one.

Blue sky cafe is well known cafe in new market area... well we ordered starter and main courses... but honestly starter was good.. but they charge high price for the food... quantity is not that enough as per price.. but I like the starter...

The steak was ummm delicious!! The chicken pieces slipped inside..the vegetables were fresh and the dish had the perfect amount of salt.Lasagne could have been better if the layers would have been more towards a solid state rather than being kind of semi solid. The fish was tasty! I am visiting the place again.

Have been here for the past 7years with friends!! Very pocket friendly and great place to hangout with friends!! I like the burgers here more!! My fav is the Sunrise burger!! They are too filling and a good one!! 😊
This place actually reminds me a lot of my master's days!!

No one needs introduction to this cafe. We went there on a rainy saturday evening after having lunch. We were already full so wanted to try some desserts. We had Chocolate pudding with flames and pancakes. The chocolate pudding was too sweet for me, though my friend liked it. It was like a normal pudding with alcohol on top. The pancakes were good. Will come back again so try out the orher dishes.

Located in the street just beside The Indian Museum, this multicuisine diner is an easy find as popular with foreigners and tourists, quite more than the average Indian foodie .I had visited there with Saptadeep Misra by his recommendation and by God ,am impressed !
We had ordered Creamy folded lasagna , Blue Sky cafe special pizza and Fresh lime soda. The soda was a bit on the downside but the pizza and lasagna were quite good . The lasagna was the best I had till date and the portion sufficient for one . The pizza had good amount of cheese and toppings ..only the bread felt a bit of sour , otherwise quite okay for the price . They serve a a lot of variety in continental items and in other cuisines as well .

The main key point of this restaurant is it is a cheapest continental restaurant in that area.not only continental , chienese and indian tems ate also there.a very common place foreigners..very good and quick service..

I had been introduced to this place almost 5 years back and ever since then, i couldn't stop visiting this place. It truly is a hidden gem. It serves some of the best burgers, sandwiches, pastas and healthy steaks. The fresh juices and custard puddings are also beautiful. I have eaten almost all items off the menu, including indian dishes. Didn't try their chinese dishes however.
The place is always crowded and you'd most likely have to wait for a seat. The place is frequented by people from other countries and other origins visiting our city. A great hub to chat with strangers and a chance to know their culture. The prices are extremely affordable. But you might get a little impatient having to wait so long for a seat. The decor is very average but the food makes you be in a win-win situation. Pay a visit to this hidden gem.

The monsoon is steadily summoning up in the heart of the city.. It was an usual cool and drenched weather yesterday as I was craving for some food while gazing through the streets of new market.. Location is pretty simple for this joint.. Take the route opp of simpark mall and take left from there..Its a pretty cool cafe which kinda provides various items... I opted for mixed Cantonese noodles and it had that smoky yet flavourful taste to it adding a bit vinegar chilly shreds made it even more delightful to taste buds.. The service was spontaneous and corteous..
Abanti Pramanik
A small but prominent place for continental food in sudder street, this is a go-to restaurant for me when i crave pastas and continental. The food quality is really good and the lasagnas are perfect. While the quantity is reasonable for lasagnas, I find other items like the salads and continental platter like "farm house steak" and "grilled chicken in rosemary sauce" a little too less for the price.
Saibal Dhar
A wonderful place of food...a wonderful place for food. I have a 1000 memories at this place.

Staffs are very cordial and co-operative. Special mention of food would be for Shredded Spicy Chicken, Lasagne, Cold Coffee

A small and nice place to visit. Me and my friends went there for a treat after reading reviews on Zomato . We ordered beverages, Indian both veg and non veg items and Italian. Every dish was delicious. The place is worth the money. If you are thinking of grabbing some good food in New Market then this place is must to go.

A small cosy place located on sudder street, esplanade area. This is a pocket friendly restaurant and the quality and quantity of the food is both good.

We orderd the mango milkshake which was thick and creamy. We had the burgers. They were big enough to fill your stomach and was served with chips. Lastly we had their chicken sausages. They were crisp from outside and soft and juicy from inside and were served with fried onions. They also have a variety of continental food range.

So if you are shopping in esplanade area this is a must go place.

This place is situated near New market area .
A bit old place but with large food variety as well as taste was too good .
We had chicken chicken momo with pan fried chilli chicken!

Lastly the dessert ..chocolate pudding with flame !
A must have dessert dish which was amazing.
Tiasha Biswas
This place is small but have a huge variety of food and every single one of them is cooked to perfection. The thai n continental is what I tried but the Indian looked pretty nice.

If you are looking for best continental in a budget friendly joint then this is it. Not only continental, any damn cuisine is prepared best here.
I love sitting here with friends for a cup of cofee, lasagna, pasta bolonese, cream of chicken soup, kebabs, chowmin, grilled fish, etc. My favorite here is texas grilled burger !!
Agnish Chakraborty
I had been here a long time back, dont really recalled how my taste buds had reacted but recently post my MBA and my job at Fairley Place where they fortunately deliver,I got the chance.
Trust me,Im not exaggerating!
Its totally worth every penny.
I tried the Texas as well as the Cordon Bleu Burgers which were amazing, the Texas ones buns could have been a little softer or butter waved but both had fine patty and was quite filling with excellent sauce combos!!
Later I tried the Veg Burger and I swear Im a hardcore non-vegetarian but I was surprised and so I also opted for the Veg Manchow Soup which was a little dissapointing in quantity and could have been a little less spicy!!
Im looking forward every week to ordering from here!!
Kudos to you peeps!!

This place is located near New Market and is famous for Continental food. We dropped in for lunch some days back and ordered Chicken Steak and Chocolate Shake. The Chicken Steak was very different from the normal Steaks and had Chinese flavours in it. It was delicious and very filling with lots of veggies and French fries. The shake was creamy and thick. The service was good and prices moderate. Would definitely recommend.

Located at the heart of the city, this simple food joint is one of the hidden gems of Calcutta. The decor is extremely simple but the food is wonderful. We tried the following dishes:

Chicken Cheese Omlette

Grilled Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce

Egg Chicken Cheese Sandwich

All the items were mouth watering especially the chicken cheese Omlette. I visited the place twice and every time I made sure that I had this omlette.
It's an extremely pocket friendly place which serves delectable food at a very affordable price. A 'must try' place this is.
Been here after a hectic pre birthday shopping ..not to forget I was fasting (due to ramdaan)the entire day and opted for blue sky for iftar .. the restaurant was empty and it looked nothing like a "cafe" .. this place is at a stone throw distance from Raj Spanish Cafe(which happens to be my favorite ) but yet I chose this just to try something new .. Coming to food we ordered :
1) Cheese burst margherita pizza : this was a below average pizza it was nowhere close to an Italian pizza .. the pizza had no taste but just mozarella cheese stuffed in .
2)Penne Alpolo : pasta was ok ..nothing extraordinary about it ..but the quantity was too less ..very dissapointed with the quantity ..
3)Chicken pepper stake : this was their trademark dish but it was the worst amongst all ..the chicken was smelly .. the sauce was very blunt no flavour at all ..
4) Chocolate banana shake : this was a disaster too
I regret my decision of picking this restaurant especially when I was breaking my fast with such food .
Raj Spanish Cafe is any day better ..
Absolutely in love with this place. Have been there only once but I wish to visit here again and again. Prices are dirt cheap.

Cheese chicken omelette from this place is to die for and that too at such low price. Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce is also quite good. Cold coffee is also appreciable.

Located in Surther Street. It's a complete hidden gem. The juices are a must try; very fresh and refreshing. The food is good. Service and staff is pretty well and fast. They also have access to free WiFi. A must visit.

Cosy ambience. Ordered a coffee cappuccino (Rs. 60/-). Coffee tasted normal. Lacked in sugar. But you can change that to your preference. Lemon iced tea (Rs. 50/-) was refreshing and good for a hot summer. The chicken cheese burger (Rs. 120/-) was totally worth the price. The pattie was juicy and the tomato slice and lettuce was fresh too. The buns were nice and soft. Lastly the Farmhouse chicken steak (Rs. 270/-) was good too. This visit it was a bit overcooked and rubbery but the last time I visited the chicken was perfectly cooked with veggies, pasta and gravy on the side. I wish they added mashed potatoes too. That would make the menu perfect rather than having to order it separately. However the staff is really warm as they recognize people who've already been there. I rate the place a solid 4/5.

The restaurant may be small & shabby from the interior & exterior as it is located in a lane of New Marekt but when it comes to the food it is delicious as well as its pocket friendly.
Moreover the quantity & quality of the foods are well maintained also a wide variety in the menu section & so will be visiting this joint again to taste the other items.

Located in the new market area , you need to take the lanes next to Hotel Lindsay and you will enter in Sudder Street, take a left and you will see this place.

Ambiance- Nothing great, just a simple eatery with very basic tables, chairs and cutlery.

Food ordered- 1. Chicken cheese burger 2. Texas chicken Burger 3. Grill Chicken Burger

We were 3 and took 3 different kinds and tasted all. Grilled chicken burger being my all time favorite has been an absolute love.

Texas chicken burger and chicken cheese burger was nice as well.

Burgers are served with potato chips.

Food quality is very good and quantity is as per price

Pros- Good food, good quality, quantity and price
Cons- Ambiance

Look forward to have more food from this joint!

3.5*
This is an extremely old joint located in the bustling locality of Sudder Street.
Had ordered a takeaway comprising Grilled Chicken Burger, French Fries, and Lassi.
Honestly, the burger didn't stand upto the expectation as the chicken patty inside wasn't as juicy as it ought to be. The element of freshness and juiciness was majorly missing
The french fries were soggy, the Lassi was quite satisfactory.
Packaging was basic, nothing special.
Hopefully, they can improve the standards accordingly.....

My happy place.
I can't recall exactly how many times I have been here. Be it hanging out with friends or just family, they have never dissapointed me.
Discovered this place back in 2015 and I have never stopped going since. It's like whenever I wanna have comfort food and just relax this place pops into my head.
I am in love with their Continental dishes and of course the Thai noodles. Spicy and tangy just the way I like it.
Also they let you sit for hours to sit and talk with your friends when there's no rush hour.
Pocket friendly, located right next to the Indian Museum it is a place that you must visit.

Blue sky cafe is your typical tourist trap located in the most touristy area of Kolkata. They charge high prices for the quality of the food they serve and make every cuisine under the sun from Thai, Italian to American. Their lack of specialization means all their dishes taste average at their best. The owner overcharged us on our bill and when I questioned him, he gave me my correct change with no apology, which puts his honesty in question. Avoid.

Wanted to try something heavy for breakfast on a Friday morning. After scrolling in swiggy found this place who serves club sandwiches and chicken omelette. Ordered one chicken club sandwich, one chicken omelette and one chicken mushroom nd cheese omelette. Packing was good. Food got delivered a little late but since it was fresh the food tasted very nice. Cheese chic mushroom omelette was just wowww..will definitely try their other dishes soon.

Ever since I got into college, I've heard a lot about this place. So the first time I set my foot there, I was a bit underwhelmed by the interior and the decor. There were three of us on a tight budget, and so we decided to share. The food was good, and the staff, polite. We had ordered the following, which was quite good for people without a huge appetite:
Chicken Schnitzel (as far as I can remember)
Chicken Lasagna

On my second visit, I would first and foremost mention how warm and friendly the staffs were, especially the elderly gentleman. The bread was really soft and everything else seemed quite fresh. The milkshakes (with ice cream) were, on a scale, better than average. This was my second time there and I would like to visit it again, in the midst of roaming around in New Market.
There were two of us who ordered the following and received them within less than 15min of placing the orders:
Strawberry milkshake with ice cream
Chocolate milkshake with ice cream
Chicken cheese burger
Veg chicken cheese sandwich

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing café where food and service matters more than anything else. Thanks to Zomato for bringing this place in my search radar. Have been to Esplanade for innumerable times, but never knew that such a place existed. Amazing service and very well behaved staff. Ordered two cappuccinos, one Crispy Congy Chicken and one Taipei Chicken, each item was delicious. Coming to the ambiance, this ambiance seems to be very uncomfortable and old fashioned but it isn't at all. I had a great time with my partner and the polite behavior of the staff made our visit worthwhile. The price is very reasonable. Will definitely visit again. Olivia Saha

You have been my bestest outlet in Kolkata till date. I love you blue sky 😂 well on a serious note I dunno how many of you actually visited this place. This one is a hidden gem in new market area..If you are not aware of this place please do a visit right now only.with a sitting arrangement of 30-40 people this place serves a wide range of english, continental, chineese and indian dishes..
In frame:
Thai noodles:- not very different from any regular noodles but some sort of ginger flavour was present there...
Tai pei chicken- It tasted scrumptious..chicken with bell peppers were well cooked..combination of sweet, tangy and spicy sauces made this dish more beautiful.
Pan fried chilly fish- Proper bhetki fillet cooked with carrots, spinach and tomatoes..This one was the show stopper.
Mix fried rice- You will get lot of prawns, chicken cube and fried eggs..A plate is enough for 2 persons
Sanghai chicken: It was little spicy and served with cashewnuts..but it went with the rice very well..
Prices are really pocket pinch...only 1200 bucks for 4..

A must visit for some lip smacking food at a reasonable price. The not so fancy decor of the place can be ignored because the food they serve can really compensate that. Looking forward to visit again.

I had their sheperd pie and cold coffee. The sheperd pie was quite underwhelming. There was barely any chicken and felt like I was eating sabzi topped with a cheesy layer.

After discovered this place we went just here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have several meals from different cuisine (Italian, Chinese, Indian, Western) and the prices are very reasonable. They are even pretty fast to prepare the meals, I really enjoy this place.

Worst service and worst style of food they produce and quantity is too less. Staff is so poor to attend costumers. #badfood #badservice #bad

Everyone knows about this place in new market. Food is very nice. Been here several times. One thing i like about them is- they have plenty of options there for you to choose.. thats really nice.

Of all the various places in different locales across the country I have been to relish the scrumptious offerings, I'm totally livid with myself to have missed writing about this total gem of a place! But what better day to do so finally when you miss home, family, and of course the sheer delight of being a gastronaut in Kolkata! The fact that now I'm in Pune since long and miss places like the Blue Sky Cafe because honestly, the food scene in Kolkata is way above and beyond Pune. Not at all complaining here. I love Pune but miss the extensive array of options (price-wise as well) that the 'city of joy' has on offer! Human after all!

Back to Blue Sky Cafe! Quaintly placed in the labyrinthine bylanes of Sudder Street/New Market area, I found this place thanks to my ex-colleagues. The fact that this was a walking distance from my office helped the cause. Ever since my debut, I've been here multiple times and loved everything I have tried on the menu to bits! Here's my list of it all:

* Cordon Bleu Burger
* Super Deluxe Pizza
* Rodeo Special Pizza
* Diavolo Pizza
* Chicken Supremo Pizza
* Baked Venezia Pasta (My all-time favorite and something I always order here; 'perfect' is the word to describe it)
* Farmhouse Steak
* Chicken Schnitzel
* Nutella Banana Pancake
* Irish Coffee (secret and hush-hush! it has some sprinkles of whiskey!!)

All of the above are absolutely fabulous and delectable. For space this small, the menu covers a lot of cuisines and everything is prepared from the scratch. Thus, dishes will take their own time to reach your table. Worth the wait in every sense of imagination. Every single ingredient is as fresh as it gets. It's not one of those kitchens where bases and sauces are ready in advance and things just get tossed in them according to orders placed. Truly reminds of those charming, laid-back, yet food haven cafes in Old Manali and other Himalayan destinations (without the breathtaking views of course). No wonder there are so many tourists that flock this place throughout the day.

Blue Sky Cafe has etched a special, magical place in my mind and taste buds. No visit of mine in Kolkata will ever be complete without a visit here. But honestly, in those terms, the must-visit list of places to eat/drink in Kolkata is perhaps the longest in the country!

This hidden treasure of Kolkata was on my list for a long time. Finally after my visit to the Indian Museum couldn't resist my self and went to this place finally. This place is located inside the crowded Sudder Street right opposite to CMA office behind the Indian Museum. The ambience is okaish and no fancy decor. Staffs are well behaved. I ordered a cappuccino and a cheese burst Margherita Pizza. The cappuccino was good but the pizza was just too good. Really enjoyed and will surely be back.

This is one of my favourite joints. Located on Sudder street, the lane right beside the Indian museum, nearest metro station being Esplanade.
They serve continental, italian, chinese, north indian dishes. I personally think they serve the best burgers, sandwiches, lasagnes, pizzas and chicken steak in order. My all time favourite here are the sunrise burger, chicken lasagna and chiken steak in rosemary sauce. Service is fast and prices are way cheaper! It is a total value for money place. Average cost is maximum 350 rs per person.

It's a small Cafe in New Market area. Went there in an Saturday afternoon,. The place was mostly vacant. Had chicken pepper steak n sweet lime soda. The steak costs about 240 bucks,. One full plate is enough for a lunch it's a big piece of chicken fried in some batter and then tossed in gravey and served with lots of veggies n French fries. The taste is simply awesome for both the gravy and the chicken,. It's a must try,.

A cafe tucked in the lanes of New Market. Ideal for satisfying your hunger pangs while a shopping haul at Esplanade.
Ordered:

🤘 Mango Juice- Tastes pretty good, thick and claggy.

🤘 Chicken and Mayo Sandwich - The presentation could have been better. However, the sandwich is stuffed with ample pieces of chicken. Taste could have been better.

🤘 Butter chicken and Tandoori Roti- The taste of the butter chicken is authentic. The quantity could have been a little more in accordance with the price. Perfect mix of spices though.

Pocket friendly. Ample accommodation. Service is good.

I had a hectic shopping day, and i was hungry like anything. I went to this place with least hope, but then this place came out with really nice food. Though, the stuff were late, and i had to wait like for 30 mins for one biriyani and one chicken tandoori. Or it might be that i was so hungry so that i felt like this. And yeah one more thing, this place was filled with so many foreigners.
And the pocket pinch was not high at all! I loved this place!

I have passed this place many times but honestly never had the heart to go inside! Then I was going through the hidden gem collection list in zomato and came across this place. Well that's the beauty of zomato. So on Saturday, I decided to have my brunch over here. The interior is nothing great. It's just like most of the old restaurants in Calcutta. I was there just for the food, so will just talk about it. My friend and I had ordered one grilled chicken burger, one cardinal pizza , a banana pancake and one mango curd. The burger was recommended by them and I loved it. It was really mouth smacking. The pizza was just ok. It could not really match up to the taste of the burger. When my friend had ordered the curd, we thought it would be a flavoured one but I was thrilled to see that it had freshly cut mangoes: I am not very fond of flavoured mango curd. It was a huge bowl and was very refreshing. The big letdown was the pancake. It was bland and tasted heavily of dough and looked like an omlete! Very few places in the city get the pancake right and sadly this place was not one of them. But if you are a burger lover, this is the place to be.

Located in the lane past the museum as you walk towards new market , this place is a hidden gem in this area. Went their for lunch with my friends. The grilled fish is worth mentioning. The food was great , the vibe here is amazing , and very very affordable. Highly recommended.

A perfect place for to satisfy one's cravings at any time of the day. The foods are excellent and the waiters are welcoming. Must try "chicken alaking with garlic bread" and "kaeng wan kai chicken(red curry) with plain white rice".

a quaint cafe near New market, good for having some time to yourself. Ordered Kentucky chicken burger, cheese veg burger and Pepsi. the burgers were delicious, decently sized and well cooked. It also has a large selection of continental cuisine. planning to bring friends next time so I can taste more food.
Mou Moi
This is a simple cafe located in the heart of New Market. There is negligible decor with perky ambience. The staffs are polite yet at times they are not very attentive. The place is frequented by foreigner visitors.

We ordered
☑️Double Chicken Lasagne
☑️Chocolate Pudding with Flame

The lasagne was delicious and satisfying. It's the ultimate comfort food for every pasta and cheese lovers. However, the pudding was very disappointing. Heard so much about it. But it didn't taste great at all. Will come back for their burgers and wide range of beverages.

Have you ever had one of those days when you don't wanna chew on food in the morning but still wanna go out and grab some good breakfast?

Blue Sky Cafe, in Park Street area has got your back.
Their juices are made from real fresh fruits and are a delight among Calcuttans and foreigners alike. This is one of the top visited breakfast joints for foreigners other than Flurys.

✔️Best orders- Mango Juice, Watermelon Juice, Cold Coffee with ice cream, Lasagne, Nutella Pancake and Sunrise Chicken Burger.

💰The Mango and Watermelon juice both come for 50 INR. No extra taxes.

Don't wait for breakfast in bed. Go fill yourself up with some heavy, filling breakfast when on a pocket pinch!

Shabby little cafe located in sudder street in New market area. Itz kinda like a hub for foreigners as they serve mostly continental n italian food but they do have indian n chinese as well. Had been to this place a couple of time and the food is jus amazing however would not recommend their milkshakes not good at all but their pancakes n sandwiches are too good, had been here mostly for breakfast only so cant really say abt their other maincourse dishes but will definitely visit for lunch next time n try out.
