Review Mamamomo - Kitchen & Grill - Kolkata (Calcutta)

It was simply amazing, never known a place that prepares kebab just as delicious as their momos. Loved it so damn much! Its a humble request to improve the sitting chairs with the tall ones..

Posing in the pic are the super delicious pork potstickers from @mamamomocalcutta So it definitely took a bit time to get our hands on these momos but keeping that aside the momos were really delicious with super juicy filling. The momos were accompanied by a perfect chutney which had the correct amount of heat and flavours to it. In my personal opinion the taste was very authentic. The ambience was fine. I would give the food a 4/5. Pocket pinch- Rs.135 for a plate of pork momos. For more such details follow Instagram @hungerbong

I don't generally do food reviews. But these guys totally deserve it.Mamamomo,a small restaurant in the alleys of golpark is that hidden gem.that you krrp going back to.We discovered this place from facebook and decided to pay a visit. The place looks small.Has sitting capacity of 6 people. They have an open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared. But the food. The momos are juiciest most fresh Momos i have had in a while in Kolkata. We ordered a chicken momo,a pork momo and a pork shekhwa. The shekhwa is a nepalese kabab which melts in your mouth.I must again go back to the momo..the minced meat, the exact amount of salt, the soup.Everything is just perfect.Wonderful work guys. Also the name mamamomo comes from the fact, that its the founders mother's recipe.

Very tasty momos and other food👍 nice place but very small, takeaway is the best option.
anirban Mukhopadhyay
Small place with mouth watering Tiberian cum chinese dishes...though the table was high with small stools .....u have to eat standing.....but with the steaming thukpas and mouth watering boiled as well as fried noodles.....and the rush of taste and water form uer eyes will make the setting perfect and the seats wont matter any more.....there is even no tax with average price of a dish being 150 indian rupees......as the place is new and it mainly focused on take away orders.....they even have plans to open a full fledged restro in near future...and with tall chairs obviously 😂
ANIMESH DEY
Small place. Place for momo lovers. Quality of pork momo 👌. Cheap, soup quality is too good. One can taste various types of combo dishes here.

It's a small joint in the lane adjacent to Mouchak Sweet shop at Golpark. They don't have much variety on their menu but their momos do taste different. Very affordable pricing and they also sell Dalle' which is perhaps one of the spiciest chillies from Sikkim.

While scouting for momo joints nearby for an online order, had come across Mamamomo. Even though, I had never heard of them before, still decided to order online from them. Had placed an order for 2 plates of Chicken Steamed Momos. After a while, the restaurant person had called me up, apologizing for not being able to cater to my request of parcelling the soup with the momos, which is the case for all restaurants. On requesting him once again, and explaining the cause behind ordering momos, the concerned person had promised to fulfil my request anyhow. This kind gesture of the staff had actually made my day. The momos were delicious and the soup was sent to us too. Really enjoyed the steamed momos, chicken filling was appropriate, and the soup was nice and clear. A wonderful snack indeed!

If you love gulping down one momo after another, be sure to visit Mamamomo. They prepare all the items in traditional style from scratch. This is what keeping them a step ahead from other momo joints. I have ordered - • Chicken momo chilli – the momos were stuffed with chicken and had a thin outer layer. Steamed momos prepared in chilli chicken style. It was actually too hot. • Pork sekhwa – I have read a lot of recommendations of this item. This is the first time I had a kebab style pork preparation. It was well seasoned with spices and perfectly grilled.

“Superb” will be an understatement. I usually get stuffed after two plates of momo, but that served in MamaMomo irresistibly makes you want more and more so mellow is the experience in the palate. I ended up having lots of both pork and chicken momos, literally loads I lost count such was the taste and without giving you that stuffy feel normally akin to momo. Well done the smiling chefs behind the open kitchen beavering away to give us such delight. Alas my stay in Kalkota is all to brief. But I will head straight for this place when I come back to Kal next.

Authentic Darjeeling flavor comes to the city in a new way with Kidwai family, thanks to the help by the Nathmull's. Momo and thukpa are abundant. Home-cooked vibe is really there. Price is very very affordable. Cash only, non-AC place. The staff behavior is extremely genial. The flavors are just awesome. Pure Darjeeling. There're no seats, so just eat standing and go. But I'd suggest you to visit this place again and again for the pure unadulterated flavor of the Hills.

First thing on entering, welcoming staff and the live kitchen. Loved everything on the menu especially the steamed momo and pork thupka. There are a number of high tables for eating and one can also sit on the ledge outside the shop. Must visit for all .

Love everything in the menu esp the momos and pork chili. Only place that's offering grilled pork and it's a must try! Would highly recommend to all the foodies for its fresh delicious food.

Great food. Wonderful staff. The service was quick and pleasant. I would recommend this place to people wishing to get served quickly with good quality food and not overpriced. Enjoy! :)

Its a good place to chill with friends, nothing fancy but really cool My mom said she felt Darjeeling's authenticity here but I didn't The chill step music in background made it groovy I'll surely visit again

Food was nice, bt not enough space to sit and eat...
The way they served good, overall good food, amazing initiative nd hopefully in future will increase their outlets...

It's a quaint little place in the by-lanes of Golpark
This place can't be visited with a huge group but is an ideal place for a small gang of 3-4 people.
The momos are amazing and the best part being that those are made right in front of the customers.
The service is prompt and cozy
All the variants of items available are great.
Although the menu isn't too vast but all the items are must try items

Head to this joint on a rainy evening for one of the best experiences ever with your friends.

At around 3pm, this place was empty. There are only two tables with four chairs, and food is meant to be had while standing.
We ordered pan fried chicken momos for ₹140+₹7 tax. They served us two bowls of hot soup first along with fresh coriander chutney and hot chilli sauce. The momos arrived a few minutes later, seared with a pretty golden brown crust. There were nine momos, filled with chicken without any vegetable filler.
Will definitely be returning again to try more of their dishes.
Debanjali Rarhi
The momos were excellent in taste..a sure value for money.8 pieces priced for Rs 130 was actually quite affordable. There was solid chicken in the momos.

Hidden in a quaint lane in Golpark "Mamamomo" is a small and cozy food joint which serves authentic momos, thukpas and other chinese and tibetan food at a reasonable price. They don't have any seating area. It's mostly takeaway based but you can stand and have your food there. I tried "Chicken Pan Fried Momos" there. They served 8 pcs of hot momos with a bowl of soup. The momos were stuffed with chicken and tasted just heavenly.
Aerica Sardar (The Eten Rovers)
One of the best places to eat Momos. I tried the chicken steamed momo and the pan fried momo, served with a bowl of soup and 3 sauces. Loved the Momos which are soft and filled with meat. It is very pocket friendly and more of a takeaway than dine in because it is a very small restaurant. It's a must try for all momo lovers.

For more information about food follow my website theetenrovers.com and on Facebook and Instagram by the name Aerica Sardar (The Eten Rovers).

This momo joint at Golpark serves you mouthwatering and succulent momos at a very affordable price. Other than a little space crunch, you'll love everything about this place. The food tastes delicious and the staff is very polite and courteous.
Tania Sahu
Though this place don't serve soup with Momo but momos are worth trying. The soft outside coat and stuffed inside momos , 8 in numbers, are something to make your belly full and soul in peace. Do try their pan fried chicken Momo for sure.

It is a small but well maintained place located in Golpark. But above all, the food quality & quantity is the best thing about the place.

I ordered Mixed Thukpa and it was delicious. The staffs were nice and polite. I could see the genuine & top brand products which the chef was using to prepare the dish.

Overall, it was an amazing place & every foodie out there should try out this gem of a place.😀😀

Well Finally it was Mamamomo time!!..This small yet nicely decorated eatery is located conveniently in Golpark and it is easy to reach. The Menu is decent. The best thing about this place is its food both in terms of quality and quantity.I had Chicken Steamed momo and it is by far the best i have had of late. The momos were nice in shape and were not torn or sheared. The dips were pretty well made. The owner of the place is a cordial gentleman who spoke nicely about the reason behind the name Mamamomo.I could see the genuine and top brand products which the chef was using to make the momos and other interesting delicacies.I will surely be back to try out the other options but in the meantime...Friends do pay a visit to this gem of a place called Mamamomo..and to all the people running the place You guys are doing great..Keep it up and spread happiness..Sujata Manna

I wanted to try Momos from here from quite some time and I finally managed to visit there.Located near golpark mouchak. The outlet is not so big.. There's just two or three tables..The decor is very eye soothing.
I went there with my friends..We ordered chicken steam Momo and panfried chicken Momo..The steam Momo was just perfect but the pan fried one was a bit spicy..I founded the price a bit more as compared to other Momo joints. But it tasted great.
Overall had a great experience. Must visit it.

Momos are very good, large in size, delicious & juicy. You must visti or online you can order, INR 130/- for 8 pieces. Famous for momos & staffs are very friendly

This is a hidden treasure in Golpark. Tiny place with open kitchen but they prepare food with alot of care & hygienically. Loved the Pork Steamed Momos to bits. 8 pieces of juicy & delicious pork stuffing is one of the best in South Kolkata. Chicken steamed Momos weren't that good as the stuffing was dry compared to the pork Momos. But overall this place is a must try.
Shweta Sunar
The momos wear so bad and tasteless all my money got into waste mamamomo I m totally disappointed with the taste I highly don't recommend any one to order there food from mamamomo and I'll give 0 star

Small place. Place for momo lovers. Quality of pork momo 👌. Cheap, soup quality is too good. One can taste various types of combo dishes here.
Zeeshan Dadabhai
I have been eating here since it opened and have seen the quality going down drastically. Soggy unpick-able momos and the stuffing inside was stale.
Sriparna Biswas
I have given order for a Mixed thukpa and a chicken Momo, chicken Momo was ok but it's a bit expensive accordingly, But MIXED THUKPA was hilarious, no pork was their, only pork fat, I have given photos too, in that bowl the white thin layers are pork fat you can see only chicken and egg is their, even taste was also worst no vegetables nothing is sufficient in that bowl.
Ritika
Had Ordered Chicken momo through Zomato... Loved the taste and the quantity... Just a suggestion please add soup with momo for home delivery also if possible ... Overall very good
Subarnita Guha Roy
It's a small joint so ordered Chicken Sekhwa for takeaway. The dish tasted so so, not too good not too bad, it is nothing less than plain and simple chicken kebabs, they were very much spicy accompanied with a extremely spicy sauce/chutney, though according to me price is okay and packaging was great. Next time will try their momos.
Sayantani Sarkar
A very small place located at the heart of golpark promising some really good food. They are serving amazing momos(one of the best steamed chicken momos I had in recent times) with flavourful soup and twp different types of chutneys and PORK SEKHWA (kind of pork kebabs) extremely soft succulent spicy tender pork pieces which literally melts in the mouth. Both the items highly recommended
Ritu Mitra
They have a special touch of tibetian style. Hygiene is well taken care of. This foodjoint has authentication in its taste.

In frame: Chicken Momo chilli
Chicken Grilled Sikhwa
Pork Chilli Stir Fry Noodles Combo

Pocket Pinch: 700/- (for two)

Must try!

Tastyesy momo I ever had, the sauce they serve with momo is mind blowing if you are a spicy lover. We ordered chicken & veg momo steamed & fried, loved it. Worth of money. A good place for casual timepass and for small gathering.

the chicken momos was different and delicious. You may find a lot of momo outlets in kolkata...but this one is the best. Must try if you are a momo lover

It was a short visit from my side...actually someone told me about the speciality of dish of them..so to have that only we went there...we ordered chilli pork there...n it was mindblowing...I mean just awesomely soft n delicious...still I m drooling after thinking about the dish repeatedly...their service is also really super quick...staffs are well behaved...it is actually delivery based restarurent still I think for short visits it is ok...so from my side they will get A++ grade...I ll surely be there again...

I decided to try our this place since people have been talking about it for a while now. I ordered 4 plates of chicken momos. The quantity was good but the momos were rather dry and the meat inside had to be softer.
I also ordered veg noodles and chilli pork.. The chilli pork seemed more like a pork curry with tomatoes and a curry gravy.. The taste was nice but it didn't go with the noodles at all. The meat pieces also were mostly fat and had to be disposed of.
Kaushik Saha
I had ordered Veg Thupka and chicken momos from here. Loved the taste of the food. It was awesome experience. In fact other items are also very good. Must try.
Aantarika Samanta
Ordered steamed chicken momo. It was very well cooked and the order was served pretty fast. 8 sumptuous pieces are served with two types of sauce and a bowl of soup.
Price : 130/-

We tried the grilled chicken sekhwa and grilled pork sekhwa... Out of this world!! A must visit place especially during winter...!! Can't wait to get back there soon!!
Suchira Sadhukhan
I have been to this outlet once. It is a very small joint with only 2 tables and a few stools. We had ordered one plate of CHICKEN SEKHWA and a plate of PORK MOMO (steamed). The sekhwa tasted very well.
The second time I had ordered through Zomato one plate of PORK THUKPA..the quantity was good and also the taste was okay..only one issue was that Thukpa is supposed to be a mixture of solid food and soup, however, the soup was only half of the container (given in the photo). The taste of thukpa would have been evident if soup and noodles and evrything were in proportion.
I guess the container wasn't big enough to accommodate the soup and the noodles together.
Anyways, still I recommend this restaurant. Next time I will try their thukpa at the outlet.🙂

This place is situated in Golpark, just beside another restaurant called Whistling Kettle.
The space is very small. And there is no ambience as such.
There are 2 tiny tables with extremely tiny chairs, which do not even reach the table(Found it very lame). Half of the place is their kitchen, and it is separated from their seating area with a transparent plastic curtain.

We ordered Chicken Pan Fried momo, and it was not the usual Pan fried momos we have elsewhere.
The steam momos were lightly fried rather.
It was served with the red chilly and green chutney and also clear soup garnished with parsley. It tasted well and is a must try.

Recommended to order at home, rather than visiting the place.
This place has become my go-to for ordering momos. Have tried nearly everything on their menu and I’m biased heavily towards their pork steamed momos. Always juicy and fresh. Love the packaging, the different dipping sauces and most importantly the smiley faces they draw on the containers. What a sweet, personal little touch. Highly recommend!
Saheli Datta
Location is just opposite to the ccd, golpark. We ordered pork steamed Momo and chicken steamed Momo....the Momos were hot and fresh. Expected a more spicy sauce with it but it's okay. Price is little bit high...but taste wise you won't get disappointed here.
Swati Mittal
Ordered chilly momos from this place and loved it. Nicely packed, very decent quantity, yummy taste and made as per customisation. The delivery was fast.
Karan Chawla
It has the best steamed chicken momo amongst all the places listed in zomato... I’ve tried at least 10 places and ordered 3 times from mama momo.... each time their momos were consistently the same.
Shubhomoy Mukherjee
Tried the plain Chicken steamed Momo which is excellent in taste and freshness. Each plate is of 8 pcs while being competitive in pricing. Its a open kitchen so that you can see and reassure yourself about the quality. And the Momos are fresh and piping hot and come with soup which many of the competition have done away with.
Disadvantage...small and standing room only... so this is only for a quick bite.
Anya Sheikh (whatkolkataeats)
This small joint is located in golpark almost beside the whistling kettle. It's mainly for takeaway as the space is not much to accommodate many people at a time. Tried their chicken steam momos. The chicken was tender and juicy, though I didnot like their soup much. I think the prices are bit too overpriced. A plate of steam momo (chicken) costs you around 130 bucks which I think not that great as compared to the taste of the momos.
Yogesh Agarwalla
Went for momos after a long time
The chicken steamed momos where freshly steamed and we'll stuffed and very tasty
The sauce was hot and firey like it should be
The chilli chicken and noodles were also excellent
They tasted just like what you get in the street stalls without the dirt and dust and small stones
Being able to see the food being cooked in front of you only adds to the experience
A must go
Hari
I have tried momos from various places in Kolkata and what they provide in the momos is a lot of oil and sometimes stale filling of chicken or cabbage. But this place is not like those outlets. The momos are made fresh here which you can actually see through a glass partition. The momos are soft and fresh and the sauces just have the right amount of spices. The place doesn't have enough sitting arrangements though. The shekwa is also quite good and unique.
Tania Chakraborty
the food is awesome. the thukpa was very good and the momo quantity wise was brilliant but i would have preferred it more if you served it with soup
Vishal Bharat
Yesterday I ordered babycorn and I got delivery also but the delivered food is unhygienic and totally worst and the value which is paid to zomato total amount wasted as being a regular customer of your restaurant I m disappointed with your food.
It's request to you that don't deliver this worst quality of food to any customer
Please Take care of customer health
Sayantan Chakraborty
Located just beside whistling kettle in golpark. Max. 6 people can accommodate. Yesterday we visited and ordered chicken chilly momo and grilled chicken sekhwa. This sekhwa is a special type of items i found here. Food tastes very good n yummy too. Staffs are well-behaved n courteous. Must visit.
Saurav Ghosal
Situated at just opposite of Golpark Ccd, it's a small eatery with a max sitting capacity of 6persons at a time, so its better to avail a take away or order online. I am a momo fanatic nd i have tried momos from famous eateries all around but truly their momos r super tasty nd totally different with a unique taste accompanied with their special momo sauce. U can have any of them without giving a second thought. After momos they have a second specialty "shekwa" chinese style barbeque meat ... U shld definitely try those according to ur meat choice but if u love pork never miss that its a must have nd generally its available after 5pm.
Rajarshi Chakraborti
The first order was a pork thukpa.
I expected a little more but it wasn't thst great. The pork pieces were in equal fat to lean ratio. The broth wasn't much flavourful and the veggies, didn't add much to the dish. Looking forward to try the momos.
Swikruti Mangaraj
A tiny outlet right beside 'Whistling Kettle' in Golpark, serves delicious momos and more. The place is best suited for takeaways as there's no proper seating available. The momos are good in taste and size. The pocket pinch won't hurt taking the quantity, quality and service into consideration.
Soham Ghosh
Awesome momo with reasonable price. 8 piece of chicken momo cost only 130.Thats is just awesome. For the first time I have my momo with choupstick and my 1st time Experience is awesom
Anindya Parbat
This quaint little eatery is conveniently located in the lane beside Mouchak in Golpark. Went there on the evening of Maha Saptami and asked for two plates of pork shekhwa. The chef informed us that shekhwa wasn't available, and he enthusiastically suggested that we should try their fried pork. We agreed to his suggestion and in 15 minutes, two plates of steaming hot fried pork arrived at our table. At first glance, the quantity was drop down disappointing. The taste made up for it to some extent. The pork was well fried, was crisp, and went well with the dip they provided with it. However, 170 bucks for a handful of medium sized pork pieces, merely fried with no distinct seasoning whatsoever, is not justified. And there was quite a lot of pork fat as well in place of meat. Not a memorable experience.
Debangana Tarafdar
I had food delivered from Mamamomo via Zomato.
The order was delivered on time.
And, boy was it good! Very neat and impressive packaging, with no spillage.

Huge portions. They have a selective menu, but it’s kind of perfect, for someone who is just looking for momos or thukpa.

I ordered a portion of chicken steam momos and chicken chilli momos. Each plate contains 8/9 pieces of momos.
The filling was delicious, with a fine coating.

Food Quality- 4/5
Value for money-5/5
Nayanika Dey
A new place in town serving great momos at pocket friendly prices. Located near golpark, very easy to locate. Though the place is small and doesn't offer such sitting but they have a live counter which is really well maintained and tidy. They are preparing the momos on spot. We ordered-Chicken steamed momo and Chicken Pan fried momo. Each plate serves 8 pieces which is really enough. The steamed momo also had a bowl of clean soup.It was indeed a happy momo time!

🌐 LOCATION: A few steps from sweetmeat shop Mouchak in Golpark.

🏠 AMBIANCE: This is mainly a takeaway joint, thought there are 3 tables for having food.

🍽️ FOOD: Had steamed chicken momo. Eight pieces of momo comes with a bowl of soup. Served hot and fresh. It's felt pretty good at tastebuds. Price is reasonable.

A famous joint in Golpark, Kolkata. Mamamomot is a famous joint for momos and remains filled whole day with waiting time of about 5 minutes for new customers. Has various varieties of momos and thukpa. Ambiance is quite good. They serve yummmm momos. You can try any type of momos without having second thoughts
. Must visit.
Priyanka Kumari
Orders:
Chicken Fried Momo
Chicken Steam momos

I will still choose pork steam momos over this. I think it was not that great. The steam momo was good. Just like the pork
The sides that is the chutney is one of the best I've got till now. It suits my taste really well.
Poulami Ghosh
Recently had their steamed chicken momo and they gave me 9 pieces! That's a huge number for the amount they charge. I loved the clean taste alongside the two chutneys and it's a must try.

Somrita Biswas
Only ordered once that too only Steamed chicken momo...packaging was nice. Came with 6 pieces of momo.and 2 sauces...1 spicy red sauce( and it was spicyyy) and a pudina chutney ( I don't know why they serve that with momos😶) . Now coming to the actual momos...nice and plump...chicken filling was adequate. Nothing special from the pricepoint actually. There's a place at Lord's more which serves the best Chicken momos(acc. to me ofcourse) along with a nice clear soup at a reasonable price.
Pritha Dutta
Posing in the pic are the super delicious pork potstickers from @mamamomocalcutta
So it definitely took a bit time to get our hands on these momos but keeping that aside the momos were really delicious with super juicy filling. The momos were accompanied by a perfect chutney which had the correct amount of heat and flavours to it. In my personal opinion the taste was very authentic. The ambience was fine.
I would give the food a 4/5.
Pocket pinch- Rs.135 for a plate of pork momos.
Yash Tibrewal
it's not pan fried you have given me something else
Sriparna
Few weeks back we have been there.the place is very small.they are famous for their sekhwa.they serve it only after 5pm.small joint but great food with reasonable price.we have tried the dry chilli chicken also.found this place quite good.
Priyadarshni
Tried their pan fried chicken momo and chicken thukpa... Momos were normal in taste like wow momo... soup was also ok.....I didn't like their thukpa because it was very mild... they don't have lot of items on their manu .. don't know whether I would visit again or not...
Subhajit Majumder
If you are looking for authentic Darjeeling Momo this is the right place to order / venture out. Even you will get Pork Momo in this outlet.
Nivedita
Ordered through swiggy. Pork steamed momo was good...Nice and soft with proper filling. Expected soup with steamed momo but was not provided. Both quality and quantity of the momo was good. But the chili chicken was a disaster. It was totally bland and the chicken pieces were very hard to chew. Will definitely order momo again but would not recommend other food items on the menu.
SAUDAMINI DUTTA
Giving a 5 star after a long time.
Reason: Absolutely lip-smacking momos.
I have had momos from many other joints and very few make such good momos, Mamamomo is one of them.
We ordered:
Chicken steam momos and chicken pan fried momos.
The momos were meaty. Not filled with onions. Seasoned very well. Their pan fried momos do not come fried with your regular schezwan sauce or chilli garlic sauce.
It is a type of kothey, if you are familiar with one.
Very lightly seared at the bottom to give a good crisp.
Momos are juicy especially the pan fried one.
They serve two types of chutney, one the red momo chutney and the other a green chutney. Both taste very flavorful. 8 pieces of momo per plate. Steamed momo comes with soup.
The new dish that we tried was:
Chicken sekhwa. They explained to us that it was a nepali chicken kabab served with their special in house-made chutney. There were 8 pieces of kabab. Size was medium. The burnt smell of charcoal added to the flavour of the grilled kababs.
The space available is quite insufficient. You have two small tables. Where you have to stand and have your meal.
The restaurant despite it's small interiors is well decorated and lighted. The staff were friendly. Prices are affordable too. Overall a good experience.
Bringing the comforts of Darjeeling, right to The City Of Joy is Mamamomo.
.
Located near the Hindustan Park- Golpark Crossing, right beside The Whistling Kettle is this quaint space that offers a minimalist but delicious homemade Darjeeling favourites to the city. The recipes are local favorites and come from the Owner, Tashi Kidwai's Mum's kitchen.
.

Though easily located, there would be an issue with seating since Mamamomo is primarily a QSR or in other words, a takeaway joint. Parking too plays a hassle, given the road stretch is mostly busy (3/5).
.
If you do like to sit while your order is being processed, there is a 4 seater available within the premises and it's honestly a joyful experience to watch your momos being made fresh, with so much love and hygiene while most places only serve reheated products to be honest (4/5).
.
Coming to the food, Mamamomo specializes in Steamed Momos, Pan Fried Momos, Noodles, Thukpa, and the Chargrilled Sekuwa.
They also have combo meals with your favorite Chilli Chicken/Pork/Exotic Vegetables with rice or noodles.
.
My favorite has to be the Pork and the Chicken Momo Chili. The stuffing is adequate and the dough thankfully isn't too thick for consumption. The Thukpa was delicious as well.
.
The showstopper, however, has to be the Sekuwa- meat roasted in a natural wood fire in a traditional Nepalese country style fashion- which is available in Chicken, Mutton and Pork varieties, post 5 pm.
.
These guys also have homemade sauces and pickles you could purchase for consumption and these are honestly yummy (4/5).
.
The service is pretty swift so expect your hot and steamy momos to be with you in no time (4/5).
.

From the price point of view, the menu is decently priced with respect to the quality and quantity served (4/5).
.
Would I recommend or revisit Mamamomo? Absolutely! Who wouldn't want to take a stroll down Darjeeling amidst the hustle bustle of Kolkata?! I know I would!
Devasis Ghosh
Just ordered chicken & vej momo through swiggy expected a fresh made momo. But Mamamomo is same like wow momo. Their momo is very hard stale bad quality product.

Pls don't go by the quantity the quality is not up to mark as a Tibetan joint

The momos were really tasty and soft.. the dish was spicy. enjoyed a lot.

My love for momos probably exceeds everything and here we have another joint helping me to keep going.
Mamamomo is located in Golpark. I haven't had the chance to visit the outlet so won't be able to comment on that.
Let's jump to the important bit the MOMOS!!!
They are absolutely delicious and the quality and quantity both are great. Also tried the chili pork-its good, but the momos have my money. My favorite is the pork fried Momo.
Looking forward to visiting the outlet and gorge on more of them.

It is a small outlet with a small sitting arrangement, so it is better to have a takeaway. The quantity of the food absolutely goes with the price.
Ordered a plate of pan fried Momo and the momos were juicy, but somehow the sauces did not go with it.
Variety in the menu card is recommended.

A must try momo specialist place which also has Thupka, Sekhwa as well and popular combo meals. The steamed pork or chicken momos are delicious. The filling perfectly minced with the momo wrapping just right. The thupka chicken or pork is a complete meal in itself. The broth is very light and well flavoured. The Sekhwa is only available in the evenings are similar to kebabs. The menu is limited thus keeping the quality of the food consistent, fresh and delicious. The place is small cosy but very clean and hygienical.

Ordered steamed chicken momos. Came right on time. The momos were really juicy and fresh. The sauce with it was also good. Good value for money.

Fantastic momos. Finally a place that does the pan fried momo correctly! Have ordered delivery twice, both times food came decently hot. Cheers.

So I got home delivered Pork steam Momos. I don't remember the last time I had any good pork here in Calcutta. But this one was unexpected. Everything just blended too well. It was juicy, the meat wascookedreally well and the stuffing blended quite well. This is one of the best pork momos I've had.
What surprised me was the two different Chutney. It was really good.
The packaging was way too cute and the way they mentioned my name was impressive.
Must try!

I thought steam Momo's comes with soup but they didn't give me any soup.

A new momo loving joint in South kolkata. A small restaurant with max 4-6 person sitting arrangement servers probably most delightful momos. Basically it's a perfect takeaway shop. zomato/swiggy boys were hopping in and out. As I was pretty much curious about the name of this resturent, the owner tells us, This shop's name is dedicated to his mother, he is using his mother's momo recipe which he earned & hence it's mama's momo i.e mamamomo. Tried their chicken momo (4.5/5) and Chicken Skhewa (5/5) loved both and will love to visit again.

Honest review - 3 stars!
Added one more just for the creativity of the name!
Right next to "The whistling kettle" who doesn't serve Momo's this young guy has surely made a mark!
Extremely small to sit and eat, but surely a big thumbs up for the Momo's.

Located right next to The Whistling Kettle finding this place shouldn't be a problem at all. The menu is limited to momos, thukpas and sekhwas. The cons about this place would be lack of chairs. During winters and breezy weather sitting outside is most pleasant.
Being a momo connoisseur i would recommend everyone to try out their pork steam momos as these guys produce one of the best in Kolkata totally juicy and with just the right amount of filling. The other item worth trying would be their Pork Sekhwa which is a basically roasted pork served hill style. You might need to wait a bit after placing this order as it takes a while to prepare. You can also try their Thukpas.
I would give their momos a 4.5/5, their sekhwa 5/5 and thukpas 4/5.

The food was very spicy. Not edible.I had put special instructions to make it less spicy and they had infact made it more spicy than usual. They really need to review it.

Packaging was impressive. Especially when you are a foodie❤️

Overall good, though the vegetable mono could have been better stuffed. Very little filling so it was too much of casing. Great packing and sauces.
It would be unwise of me not to give this place a total of 5 stars. A must visit for all the Tibetan food lovers. The owner is also polite and friendly. 🙂

This is a small joint at golpark which will greatly satisfy your cravings for momo and other chinese cusine... Ambience was great but there were no sitting arrangements.. the best option is to take away the food.. we orderd chicken steamed momo and chilli pork with garlic noodles... Momos were extremely delicious and juicy.. chilly pork was light in taste. Its a hidden gem to keep your jaw busy

This place was on my wishlist for a very long time. I made it a point that I visit this place, next time I visit Kolkata.
With much time constraints, to come here and eat, we ordered food from here yesterday via Zomato. Food was delivered on time, packaging was perfect. We had ordered -
Pork Steamed Momos - Lovely is the word for them. Eight in a portion, it is sufficient for an adult. Size of momos were pretty good. Loved it!
Pork Sekhwa - These are Nepali pork kebabs. Made on charcoal, the burns on the meat pieces were delicious. The meat was tender and succulent, although I wish they were a bit bigger in size. These also have eight in a portion.
Mixed Thukpa - This one was the best of the lot. Flavourful, filling yet very light. Loved it.
Chicken Chilli with Rice - A small combo meal for one adult. The meal was very good. Chilli chicken had the typical Kolkata taste. The fried rice looked a bit hard at first but when tried, it was perfectly well cooked.
Loved my experience from Mamamomo via Zomato order. Looking forward to try the food from here. Recommended. Happy Dining! :)
