Dimpi is a Cozy Restaurant in Shyambazar with some Good Aesthetics and Good Food I loved the lighting of this restaurant, and the Thalis are pretty good as well. Dimpi specializes in South Indian Food but I would say that they cook all the other Indian Cuisines pretty good as well. I loved their Masala Thums Up, especially due to the addition of the lemon.

This is the only pure veg restaurant in Shyambazar, and the food is extremely tasty and authentic. Nice seating arrangement. AC dining is also available. It's one of the oldest restaurants so the atmosphere is nice too but with some renovations it would look better. Food we ordered - Crispy baby corn -Rs. 170 Butter masala dosa -Rs. 140 Pav bhaji- Rs. 140 and Dahi Lassi On the whole it cost us around 600 and is totally worth it. Do try food from here👍🏻

The variety and quality they have as a pure veg resturant is really recommendable. The maharaja thali was absolutely delicious and more than enough for 2 people. they also have good south indian delicacies. The rose lassi is a must try. But the last time I was there the attendant was a little bit impolite.

Food r awsam. Khub vlo khabr kore. R best testy dohi bora. Tandori roti and malai kofta is not a vry testy. It is a sweet dish. Lahori kofta some spicy. But kofta gravy is testy but kofta hardy . I might not be a vegetarian food lover or specifically a south Indian cuisine lover, but never miss a chance to pay a visit to Dimpi, a vegetarian restaurant which comprises of a menu filled with authentic vegetarian, especially south Indian dishes,whenever I am loitering around shyambazar.It is typically a paradise for veg lovers.. I have tried their veg chowmein,veg manchurian and dhosa..while the dhosa and the manchurian tasted divine the chowmein was a bit soggy. The price of the food is affordable.. The ambience is neither exquisite nor poor..The environment is childfriendly and the staffs are quite polite. If you are a veg lover and planning to go to shyambazar, Dimpi is the perfect place for satisfying your hunger pangs.. I would like it a 3 out of 5.

The place is vegetarian, the front is non-AC, like regular old school cozy eateries, and upstairs is an AC unit. Ambiance : 4/5 . Clean and tidy as much as these type of old eateries get. Staff : 4/5 . Courteous and prompt. Food : 4.5/5 We ordered a Butter masala dosa (4/5) and a Dimpi special masala dosa (4.5/5) which was loaded and so tasty. Total cost : 294/-

Gone are those days when I used to eat quality foods in this restaurant.Now a days the quality has deteriorated.Yesterday I ordered two plates Chole Bhature.It comes along with salad and pickle.The Bhature was more like paratha as well as puri. It's not like the one you will find in a city like Delhi.The quantity of chole was not sufficient for two plates.The taste was also missing.I am totally disappointed.I rated 2 stars that too just because of paneer in chole coz I like paneer very much and for salad.Overall, Average at its best.

I have ordered 1 special masala dhosa, 1 zomato thali, 1 mixed utthapum, 1 punjabi chole kulcha & 1 aloo paratha.. Utthapum & Kulcha was too good.. Masala dhosa's quantity was very large. Zomato thali was ok.. But the aloo paratha was horrible.. There is no aloo in it.. Only we get tandoori roti. Got the food delivered in half an hour with good packaging.

Not a good place..secondly food quality is very bad... The roti are half cooked and gravy of any dish not that tasty... I have taken food physically there I didn't find it that good. So I thought to give a try once again so I ordered online then also i found a very bad service the quality was pathetic as usual and I ordered two kulcha and one tandoori roti and they sent me two rotisserie and one kulcha and even after calling they denied that have done correct deliver... So nothing to say more than that...

The ambiance on the entrance isn't that great so I recommend you to eat in the indoor room which is calm and cozy and also a little bit dark but has way better ambiance than the entrance! The food here is really simple and great and the desserts here are also nice. You get varieties of Dosas here and that is very pleasing to me since I love Dosas and other South Indian Food! It doesn't open up before 10 AM which means we cannot have breakfast here but they do give online deliveries before 10 AM. The way of packaging in their deliveries are really nice and helpful.

This is a decent place located near shyambazar 5point crossing. They have a great variety of items on their menu. Have been visiting this place since my childhood and the fact that their taste hasn't changed a bit is both a compliment and a criticism for them as they master in south indian dishes but then their north indian can be better. Really affordable place to grab a bite while shopping in the nearby hatibagan area. Also if you are a vegetarian, then you should definitely try their food once.

I used to go here for Kulfi since a very long time as I live within 15mins of this place. Once I ordered dosa here and the chutni was rotten badly. That was a day of summer. I asked them to change and they did promptly. The replacement one was the same and I promptly left the table. Zomato, I understand this is not a place of hate, but I report here of unethical business where they could easily ask me not to pay for a food that was unfit for eating. I have never been thr since and I shall never go there again.

As we went to Shyambazar today for shopping, just thought of having some food at Dimpi. The main attraction was chilled curd (in form of Dahi Vada or Chat). As planned, we ordered for one plate of Dahi Vada & one Papri mix chat. Quality- Good. Papri was fresh mixed with kabuli chana, raisins, tomato pieces, pudina chatni, fresh curd and garnished with bhujia n pomegranates. The Dahi Vada was equally good n fresh. Portion was good also. I was disappointed with the room temperature curd in chat, expected it to be chilled. Price wise okay. Ambience okayish, not great. The place seems to me a bit cramped. And it was crowded too. When u r tired after lot of shopping, this is the place worth trying. When u r thirsty, you should come here for a glass of lassi, for sure. Tried a dahi vada, which was excellent; with cold curd mixed with tamarind sauce, pudina chatni and with sprinkles of kismis and pomegranate. It’s too tasty for my tongue. Tried also papri chat. Which was equally good. Papri was fresh and no oily smell- well garnished; though dahi was of normal temperature ( would have been great to have cold curd instead). Situated just at the five point in Shyambazar, this food joint is often easily missed because of the unending line of shops on the pavement. This is one of the older restaurants in the area serving pure vegitarian food, without onion or garlic. But this doesn't matter much. The food is really good. Though the Chinese ones are often not upto the mark, the indian dishes are awesome. I tried out masala dosa, mixed chat, tandoori roti, shahi paneer, dal makhani and shahi lassi. Food is served at a pretty good speed. The ambience is okay, but the food beats it. The prices are pocket friendly and the servings are more than enough for one. I would recommend you to try shahi paneer, lassi and dosas which are quite tasty.
