Review Simple Simon - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Rohit Gupta
A nice cozy cafe, with nice simple and colourful interiors. The place can accommodate a maximum of 10-12 people at a time. The staff is courteous and time taken to serve is decent. The food on offer is really good and portion are just apt for a healthy meal. Price are moderated, neither too costly nor too cheap on the pocket.

Simple Simon Cafe located at Purna Das Road is a cute little cafe serving lip smacking Continental & Asian food. The ambiance is kept minimal with a soothing decor and a positive vibe. With comfortable seating and an all day breakfast menu which includes some delectable delicacies, Simple Simon is the place to sit and chill with your gang over good food, refreshing mocktails & desserts. Also they've some story books in house which you can indulge upon when you're visiting alone over a cup of cappuccino which they curate infront of you! We ordered some of their specialities and hence I'm suggesting some of them which I liked. From the beverages, the Lemon Grass Cooler, The Apple Treat were refreshing to the core. The Cream of Mushroom, Cheese Croquette, Fish Skewers, Buffalo Wings, Grilled Fish, Thai Basil Chicken & the Smokey Chicken Salad deserves special mention. The Caramel Custard & the Mudpie were an absolutely delightful ending to a sumptuous meal. The service is prompt with pricing kept moderate, this Cafe has the potential to be one of the amazing places at Purna Das Road. RECOMMENDED.

One of the best cafes in golpark area. It is a small place but overall decoration is very beautiful. Music taste is really nice. You can listen some pop hits of famous singers. Food quality is good. Customer service is very nice. You can find some decent continental foods here. This place also serves desserts.

Simple Simon has its own beauty and shows that extremely well. This cozy little café is located in the by lane of Hindustan Park. Precisely a 2-3 mins walking distance from Golpark towards Purna Das Road. Right from the minimalistic decor to the mellowed down ambiance speaks a lot about the place. The service here is extremely nice. The staffs are very courteous and the owner is friendly too. Below are some of the highlights of the food that we tried. In frame: Kit Kat Shake. ₹. 165/- Cheese Chili Cigar. ₹. 225/- Nasi Goreng. ₹. 295/- Warm Chocolate Mud Pie. ₹. 210/- The last pictures are of the entrance and glimpse of the ambiance. Located at Purna Das Road, just opposite Kimli Restaurant. This is a small but pretty Cafe. The decor is very nicely done and the ambience is great too.The service is decent. What I had •Smoked Chicken Salad (Strongly Recommended) I am not a salad person but this particular salad was just out of the world. The ingredients were so fresh and the salad dressing was super tasty. I would have started healthy eating if I got this everyday! •Buffalo Wings (Recommended) This was lip-smacking. •Chicken Lasagna (Recommended) This contained good amounts of chicken and was baked to perfection. •Pink Paradise The drink is what disappointed me a bit on an otherwise wonderful experience. Maybe it missed the fizz it required or something else but somehow it wasn't upto the mark. •Classic Caramel Custard (Strongly Recommended) Probably the best way to end the meal. I liked the presentation of it. It was simple but yet it appeared elegant. Taste wise too it was very good.

Located in a prime location along Purna Das Road, find delicious pastas and burgers whilst sipping on coffee at Simple Simon – perfect for any weekdays night out! This fresh face cafe also offers their patrons a unique own time from social media addiction - Social Detox. If you opted for Social Detox then you have to deposit your mobile to cafe during your stay there and you will only enjoy delicious food without getting distracted by social media notifications, in return there will be some special offers from cafe. So visit this small cafe for freshly brewed hot coffee with friends, complete with chic vibes and comfy lighting. I recommend giving the Awesome Jalapeno Cheese Bomb a go. The cheese and spicy jalapenos are mixed with spices before deep-fried, resulting in an interestingly flavourful, silky yet crunchy texture. Jalapeno Cheese Bombs are for something to share over coffee, get the tomato salsa to dip and munch on. Come for the mouthwatering Parmesan Crusted Finger Fish, a deliciously fresh and juicy part of the fish doused in spice marination before deep frying. Don't leave without finishing the Parmesan Crusted Finger Fish with Tartar Sauce dip — crisp, juicy goodness coddled inside a crunchy batter. The value-for-money Grilled Fish with Cilantro Rice sees tender grilled fish fillet slicked in a spicy cilantro lime cream glaze on a bed of perfectly warm cilantro rice – perfect for a quick and healthy meal. The flavourful Grilled Fish with Cilantro Rice should fill you up just fine. Lasagne lovers, dive straight for the Chicken Lasagne and eat your fill of juicy, minced chicken on inside Lasagne, slicked in a creamy and fragrant baked cheese with garlic cream. Everyone will enjoy the super tender minced chicken, paired cheesy bell pepper, tomato atop a garlic bread. The Warm Chocolate Mudpie, consisting of chocolate brownie and dark chocolate pudding. Pair that with hot chocolate sauce, and your afternoon is made.

This is a cozy little cafe located near hindustan park. The ambiance is simple yet beautiful. I ordered these...<br/>Beverage : Lemon grass cooler, Sunny day, guava burn<br/>Main course : oven baked stuffed scarmozza chicken, chicken lasagna<br/>The taste was really very good. The guava burn was a little spicy. The place is very pocket friendly but they don't offer online payment options and also don't accept cards. So carry enough cash while visiting this place. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

For 170rs the quantity of hakka chowmain delivered is extremely less. The quantity half fills the 400gm container. The quantity is not even proper for a 5 yrs old kid.

A pretty small joint,Simple Simon is one of those places where you go with friends to relish some super tasty food while enjoying a board game or reading books.<br/>Having a maximum capacity of accommodating 15-16 people at a time,it's got a nice vibe to it, the colourful sofas, the pictures hanging on the wall and the overall layout can be best described as calm and cute.<br/>Service was pretty good & the waiters are polite.<br/><br/>Now,coming to the food - (we ordered the following)<br/><br/>Thai Basil Chicken - Was a nice fusion of well-cooked soft chicken mixed with various kinds of pepper, capsicums and a mayo-like topping.A refreshing starter though I found the quantity to be slightly less. (4/5)<br/><br/>Buffalo Wings - Chicken wings are always my go to dish at any place, they don't disappoint too often and here, they were no different.6 pieces, coated with the adequate amount of sauce, they were really delicious.Give them a try. (5/5)<br/><br/>Thai Red Curry with Rice(Chicken) - Sober, tasty and appealing at the same time. The curry was cooked to perfection, tangy & light, and the soft rice complimented it perfectly. No complains here. If you like this thai delicacy, you can definetly go for it here.(5/5)<br/><br/>Grilled Fish - I liked the slightly different presentation, the fish pieces on top of the green rice, served with a nice white dip(more liquidy than thick) which went really well with the overall slightly herbal taste of the food. The fish was grilled well, melted in the mouth and simply blended with the mixture of green rice and the white dip.It surely was a different preparation but completely soothing to the taste buds.Good quantity too.Highly Recommended ! (5/5)<br/><br/>KitKat Shake - Wouldn't call it great but wasn't too bad either. It tasted well but a little more thicker would have made it even better.(4/5)<br/><br/>Cold Coffee - Was decent.Nothing special but served it's purpose.(3.5/5)<br/><br/>Overall,it's a wonderful place to hang out with friends/family accompanied by board games, books and some really lip-smacking food ! (The only problem I feel is it's pretty small size which might be a problem when the place gets fully filled up; though it was empty when we visited it). <br/>The prices are slightly on the higher side but the quality of food does complete justice to it.<br/>Giving it a 5-star rating cause the primary aspect of a cafe/restaurant is - "food" which is really very, very good here.<br/>Can definetly give this a visit(specially if you're a foodie) ! 😊

Located in Hindustan park, this place is not so big but the dishes that they serve are really delicious. We ordered : • Lemon Grass Cooler • Guava Burn • Sunny Day • Oven Baked Stuffed Scarmozza Chicken • Chicken Lasagna. The guava burn was good among the other two mocktails. The lasagna and oven baked stuffed scarmozza chicken was amazing and perfectly cooked. The staffs were also cooperative.

A pleasant place situated close to Gariahat more. This place has a very nice vibe and has a soothing decor inside. Even though the seating place is a bit crumpled and short in space, the ambiance makes up for it. <br/><br/>The food here is awesome! We tried the following:<br/><br/>1. Spicy BBQ, Grilled Onion and Cheese: Oh! The taste in this sandwich was something else! So niceeee that I want to eat it again!!!!!<br/><br/>2. Oven baked stuffed scarmozza chicken: This was my first time that I tried out Risotto that even beetroot one! And believe me, I loved it! The chicken was also good and was stuffed with cheese. Cheese oozing out of chicken, what else do I need!!? A must try from the menu!<br/><br/>Will be back at this amazing place very soon!

Visited this place on ashtami eve the food was okay but the service and ambience was pathetic, the place is too small, uncomfortable seating, no music the ac was not working there was only one guy shuffling around we kept asking him about the ac after sometimes a guy came I think he was the owner he was very rude and reluctant about our problem didn't even try to fix the ac there and when we wanted to leave there was a nice lady she apologised for the ac and tried to fix the problem.. All over a terrible experience.

This cozy little place is one of my favorites! The cafe has a beautiful decor, with flowers, bookshelves, colour contrasted upholstery etc.<br/>Coming to the food, I've tried their Chicken Lasagna, Warm Chocolate mudpie with ice cream, and the KitKat shake. The Lasagna and the shake was mind blowing! However, the mudpie happened to disappoint us a bit as it did not taste as impressive as it looked. However, overall had a lovely experience and will be back again.

Visited this place yesterday evening (chaturthi). It's a small joint with pretty ambience. But service wise quite pathetic. There were 3 tables occupied including us, a total of 6 people. All the guests were irritated by the long wait to get their food.<br/>There was one guy who was shuffling between kitchen and guest servicing. We ordered chicken wings and tempura fish with malt beer and lemongrass cooler. They couldn't serve the beer also any sooner which needs no preparation. The food came when the beer was almost over. And i never saw the face of my lemongrass cooler. They totally forgot. It was really a disappointing experience. Definitely not going back.<br/><br/>Taste wise both chicken and fish were okayish. The chicken wings were undercooked and a bit raw inside with blood on bones (pictures attached).

Simple Simon located near Purna Das Road is probably one of the most elegant cafes in Kolkata. The classy decor, upbeat lighting and the amazing quality of food is surely worth mentioning. This cozy little café located in the bylane of Hindustan Park in the perfect place to indulge in Continental delights.<br/>We Ordered-<br/>*TEMPURA FISH(5/5)<br/>This place serves some amazing tempura fried fish. The fish inside was fresh and soft, the outside layer was perfectly fried and crispy and it was complimented by a mayo tartar sauce. Highly Recommend this dish<br/>* PENNE PASTA IN GARLIC CREAM AND CHEESE(3.5/5)<br/>This dish was a little bland...It required a little more cheese and seasoning.<br/>*WARM CHOCOLATE MUD PIE WITH ICECREAM(4/5)<br/>This Brownie topped with ice-cream and Oreo looks impressive and tastes equally good.<br/>The staff was also very professional<br/>This is a small cafe with minimalistic decor and bright furnishings. Simple Simon, Simply minimalist.<br/>Nothing charismatic about the place. Just few books and peace. Liked the decorations. Very colourful. But disappointed by the food. Nothing great. Also the portion they serve is just not enough for the price of the dish. It's just so disappointing. Also we ordered Pan seared peri peri chicken which according to the menu comes with mushrooms. But there was no mushroom on the plate.<br/>Liked the bbq chicken salad though. But again, the portion and the pieces of chicken were so small.<br/>
Adrija Ghosh
Was looking forward to visiting this place because I keep crossing it and it looks pretty from outside. It's a small and cutely decorated cafe but the seats aren't comfortable at all. The food to my utter dismay was not up to the mark either. The barbeque chicken salad lacked croutons as per description and the Peri Peri chicken lacked mushrooms as per description. Portion size was also small.

This little place off the main road of Gariahat street is totally a must try for everyone. The food is pretty good and the quantity is also pretty decent though if you're thinking of two people sharing one main course dish then it might not be enough. The interior is also nice. Though the staffs nees to be a little more professional if a comparison is run with other places. Lastly I felt like its a little expensive for the amount and dishes you get. But in a nutshell it does deserve atleast one visit.

This place is literally a hidden gem, serving quality food at such low prices. It isn't very spacious, with seats accommodating about 15-20 people. The interiors are simple and chique. We had tried teriyaki chicken with rice and veggies and oven baked stuffed scarmozza chicken. They were so good in taste and very fulfilling. Also, the service was quick and good. Looking forward to visiting this cafe again real soon.

A small cozy cafe located near golpark more precisely opposite kimli restaurant.. A tiny place with a seating capacity of 15 people at max..<br/><br/>Now coming to food :-<br/><br/>1) Lemon Iced Tea :- Refreshing and tasty.. Nothing special though..🙂<br/><br/>2) Buffalo wings chicken :- Chicken wings tossed in a buffalo sauce.. Spicy and tangy..😋 recommended..<br/><br/>3) Chicken Peri peri burger :- This was not at all good.. The patty was dry and bland..😕 the bun was too hard and dry.. Really not the way burger is meant to be..<br/><br/>Overall a place u can visit once but definitely do not try their burger..😔

A beautifully decorated little café located at Hindusthan Park, a newly designed one at one of the most talked about places in Kolkata. The food was amazing! The thai dishes served indeed satiated my taste buds, more so since I am a bit partial towards oriental cuisine. The grilled fish was the winner..simply melted in my mouth. As we went in Summer, the coolers served were refreshing and quite out of the box when it came to the taste factor, as it was a blend of sweet, sour, salt and masala (indian spices). The guava cooler had a blend of all of these with a tinge of chilly powder and garam masala. Overall, a lovely experience at Simple Simon. Do keep up the spirit guys! Cheers!!!

Gave a visit to this place today. Well it's a nice little restaurant with a cosy ambience. I went there with my Mommy and we ordered Penne pasta in cream cheese garlic sauce, Pan fried chicken noodles, Chicken in Oyester sauce and lastly warm chocolate mudpie as the dessert. The prices are a bit high but the quality and quantity is sufficient and the food tasted good. In all the experience was good.

Simple simon has its own elegance. It's a cosy cafe located by the lane of Hindustan park. It's a small cafe with 5-6 seating.<br/>We ordered their signature dish caramel custard suggested by many. It was worth it. The custard was lip smacking.<br/>The Buffalo wings we ordered as starters was a delight. Perfectly crispy wings of chicken marinated with a sweet n spicy sauce.<br/>Next was the Nasi Goreng. The rice tasted different and the best part was the sunny side up with it.<br/>

This has an odd location. Keeping it aside, the place is quiet small. Ambience is okayish and coming to the food, it looks good but the taste isn't so.<br/>1. I really liked the mudpie.<br/>2. The lasagne had a milk smell in it which was making it more on a sweater side which I didn't like.<br/>3. The teriyaki chicken platter only has soya sauce in the chicken and kasundi mixed rice. Very so so in taste. I feel it could have better.<br/><br/>Overall its a 3.5 out of 5.

I had really liked this cafe on my first visit and went back with my daughter. It was terrible! She ordered a penne with arabiatta sauce and a cold coffee. Both dishes had a strand of hair in each, like some special garnish! Will definitely not go back ever!

Simple Simon is a cute, little and cozy cafe located at Hindustan park just opposite kimli restaurant. It is a 15 seater cafe.We had to wait to get into the cafe as it was crowded.<br/>The service was really slow but they were hospitable enough.<br/>Coming to the food section the menu has a lot of varieties to pick but I have choosen these:<br/>Guava burn- a spicy drink the perfect thing I liked if you are a kacha peyara fan u all should definitely try this😋<br/>Noodle bowl- It is just like normal noodles not extraordinary with lots of veggies n non spicy<br/>Pan speared Perri Perri chicken- frankly speaking I loved this dish though this is definitely not like the real Peri Peri chicken it was filled with veggies n mushrooms<br/>From the wok nonveg- this was lipsmaking I literally didn't left a drop of it even<br/>Hot Mudpie with icecream- Jst for this my friends dragged me here the quantity was really little it tasted okayish...<br/>Overall this was good experience for me and this cafe is a one time try cafe definitely 💛

The food here is overpriced and the quantity is disappointing to say the least.<br/><br/>But that is somewhat made up by a very courteous staff, cosy ambience and good music.

Worst dinner I ever had in my life. Please stop fooling people with such cheap quality food and not so reasonable price. We ordered grilled fish for Rs 395 which came with a heap of rice and surprisingly a very small amount of fish. Please change the name of the dish coz where it is said grilled "fish" we literally had to find where the hell it is and even the rice served with it was of low quality. The chicken sandwich which we ordered for was not even worth what we spent, again the food proportion was not correct. Lastly, the so called mud pie which I don't know what it was. It is the laziest mud pie ever made with a scoop of ice cream, some crumble Oreo and brownie. Please taste some mudpie in other restaurants. Highly offended with the food quantity and quality. Itz an advice improve the food quality and quantity to stay in the competition.

It's a little cafe opposite Kimli in Hindustan Park. The decor is easy on the eyes and minimalistic and that probably is more of a necessity than choice, given the limited space. We ordered the chicken lasagna and chocolate mudpie. I really liked the lasagna- the minced chicken wrapped in pasta sheets was perfectly cooked and the dish was very creamy. I didn't quite like the mudpie, it was somewhat bleh! It's a good place for a hangout if you want to steer clear of crowds and bustle and also if you are on a budget.

Simple Simon is a small cozy cafe near Golpark. Ambience and the interior is very attractive and they have a small collection of books too so that you can enjoy your coffee and food with some good reading.<br/>Now let's come to the food, I had their buffalo wings, tempura fish and kit kat shake. The fish was amazing in taste, the texture was crispy and light on the outside and juicy on the inside. The buffalo wings were not so good, I didn't like the flavor of the chicken. And the shake was average in taste, not so delicious.<br/>Overall this is a nice place for some date evening and hangouts.

Only stopped by to have dessert here, but I was literally blown away by the ambience and their set up. Coming to the dessert, it was just mind boggling. A must try for everyone at least the dessert. Looking forward to stop by another day and to have a proper meal. 🙈

From one of my friend i got to know about this place. I was pretty much attracted towards this one dessert and that is "the mud pie"<br/>And hats off to their creativity of presenting this.<br/>Totally loved your idea.<br/>The taste was pretty awesome.

Simple Simon has its own beauty and shows that extremely well. This cozy little café is located in the by lane of Hindustan Park. Precisely a 2-3 mins walking distance from Golpark towards Purna Das Road.<br/><br/>Right from the minimalistic decor to the mellowed down ambiance speaks a lot about the place. The service here is extremely nice. The staffs are very courteous and the owner is friendly too.<br/><br/>Below are some of the highlights of the food that we tried.<br/><br/>In frame: <br/><br/>Kit Kat Shake.<br/>₹. 165/-<br/><br/>Cheese Chili Cigar.<br/>₹. 225/-<br/><br/>Nasi Goreng.<br/>₹. 295/-<br/><br/>Warm Chocolate Mud Pie.<br/>₹. 210/-<br/><br/>The last pictures are of the entrance and glimpse of the ambiance.

A tiny but tastefully decorated café in the heart of the city is Simple Simon which offers good quality food curated to suit your needs. They have delicious standalone dishes as well as combos to serve all purposes. We tried the classic ceasar salad, delicately prepared with the newzilander, an apple juice based mocktail and they went well. Later we took the tempura fish as a starting starter and scarmoza chicken as main dish. The chicken prep attracted me as they served it with a mildly flavoured creamy beetroot rice and was quite tasty. Being a dessert freak of course I had to taste the caramel custard and it was one of the best I had.<br/>A pretty decent place with pretty interiors and conviniently located just in the lane off Nava Nalanda School, it offers good food and great service. Looking forward to visit again soon.

A very classy cafe located around Purna Das Road, which is like 3 minutes away from Golpark.<br/>The place is kinda small, does not have too many seatings. This place is located close to Gariahat more and is probably one of the best option to dine in while you're in Gariahat area. A simple, small, colorful yet elegant cafe having a variety of menu items. This place is not the best option for large groups as they have only 4 tables but one of the best option if you're catching up with your friend and want to indulge in some adda.<br/>We ordered<br/>Buffalo Wings - The wings were really great and the small addition of sauce to its body really made it a great choice and also a must have if you're ever in this cute restaurant.<br/><br/>Spicy Thai Fried Rice - Non veg fried rice with a hint of lemon, this dish was also great and the lemon hint which was something new for me for a fried rice but I absolutely loved it. I will also recommend this dish if you're in mood of trying something new.<br/><br/>Everything was great but one thing is that they should work on maintaining cleanliness of the washroom.<br/>

The place is quite pocket friendly and the continental food it really nice. The caramel custard is something every one must try. Specially the desert lovers. I feel there should be some more variation in the drinks.

Simple Simon is a very cute little cafe with a seating capacity of around 16people. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We had coffee, lemon coriander soup and chicken lasagna. The chicken lasagna was really delicious. Definitely going back again.

It's a very cozy and a nice place. But the food & drinks are very sub standard. I had ordered a burger and Mexican garlic bread. The burger bread was stale and I did not like it at all. Even the coffee we ordered was not great

Simple Simon is a tiny cafe with minimal decor situated just opposite to Kimli at Gariahat. The place is too small, can hardly accomodate 15-18 people at a time. However the aesthetics is definitely going to win your heart. We visited on an afternoon around 5.They were welcoming. We were given complementary roasted papads as we waited for our food.we had-<br/><br/>Sphagetti with garlic and cream(chicken)- It had a fine balance of the creamy sauce and garlic flavour.Seasoning was well done.It was impressive.<br/><br/>Oven baked stuffed scarmoza chicken- It was a continental dish served with beetroot risotto and a sauce on side. The risotto was nice, however I felt it could be creamier. The chicken was soft, well marinated and had a distinct flavour. The only let down in the dish was its portion. It was too less for the price they charged.<br/><br/>Brownie shake- Nothing unique in the presentation but tasted perfect. The brownie blended perfectly giving it a thick texture.Loved it!<br/><br/>Kitkat shake- Again was very well made.Perfect in taste. No complaints.<br/><br/>Cold coffee with ice cream- This was a let down.It was neither dense nor rich in flavour. God knows why they used an ice cream with nuts in cold coffee! Not recommended.<br/><br/>Otherwise it was a nice experience overall. The staffs were friendly and definitely worth a visit!<br/><br/>Happy Dining :)<br/><br/>

Simply avoid...the only pros is excellent location..but the food is terrible.. firstly the chicken lasagna was bad it was tasting sweet..no cheese..not baked properly..steak was served without salad(had to remind them & fresh lettuce was provided at the end) & herb rice is only white rice..no appropriate sauce ,no mashed potatoes only very little vegetables.the third dish of chicken with beetroot rissoto was equally bad in taste..chef is amateur it seems..funny thing even for main course they don't give dinner plates , serves in small side plates . better to avoid this place if you have craving for good continental food as the quantity is extremely minimal, taste bad but priced on the premium end...

This place is a very pretty place with lovely interior and ambience... coming to the food we ordered Baked Chilli Corn Macroni and Warm mudpie with ice cream...<br/>Tastewise the macroni was ok... the mudpie was beautifully presented... but tastewise it was average... the biscuit crushes were given at the bottom of the tub was not of good quality...moreover the quantity of ice cream was also not enough according to us... the staff were courteous and friendly....

Simple Simon is a small and cozy cafe located in Hindustan park. It's interiors are very beautiful. They also have a book shelf so that you can enjoy your own company. Coming to the food I ordered the following-<br/><br/>Mexican garlic bread - Crispy garlic bread loaded with corn , jalapeno , bell pepper , chilli , Oregano , cilantro and melted cheese. Presentation was good and it tasted so delicious, definitely a must try.<br/>Rate-5/5<br/>Price - 195<br/><br/>Grilled veg & cheesebburger - presentation was good however the taste was below my expectations and they didn't have any other good option in burger.<br/>Rate -2.5/5<br/>Price - 225<br/>Ambience 5/5

Simplicity has its own beauty and Simple Simon testifies that extremely well... Right from the minimalistic decor to the mellowed down ambience speaks oodles about the warmth of the place... Add to that.... Spic and Span cutlery, mesmerizing service and an ever helpful attitude and you will know how close to my heart me this place has become right from my first visit.<br/><br/>Now coming to the food we ordered :<br/><br/>Chicken Lasagna 💟<br/><br/>This was the star of the show... Perfectly minced chicken encased in pasta sheets gratinated marvellously resulting in a burst of simplicity and flavour eruption in a silent and docile way.. Probably the best Lasagna I've tasted in the City of Joy till date<br/><br/>Chicken Penne Pasta in Garlic and Cheese Sauce 💟<br/><br/>Yet another heart stealer... Though honestly the Lasagna stole my heart and made its place far far deeper comparatively.<br/><br/>Special mention to Mr John, who was ever helpful and very courteous and who also arranged garlic bread when we pointed out that the meal was incomplete without it. Also, Mr Biplab never left any stone unturned to ensure our visit was worth it... Right from serving the Lasagne to the final smile while paying the cheque... It was a memorable experience.<br/><br/>Definitely Definitely Recommended ❤️<br/><br/>Second experience not at all good... Quality keeps om changing.. Lasagna wasn't the same this time.. Also bokchoy was missing when we ordered the next dish.. Though that was rectified once pointed out

Simple Simon is one of the most trending cafe is South kolkata... Worth a visit for sure...<br/>Location - Opposite to the famous kimli restro....<br/><br/>Food- We ordered chicken lasagna and jalapeno cheese bomb... The lasagna was very well prepared and baked properly... Loaded with cheese chicken.. This dish is highly recommended...<br/>Now talking about the jalapeno cheese bomb I felt the salt amount was bit more so after having a single dumpling it kind of keep that salty flavour in the mouth which I hope doesn't liked by anybody... This was just my opinion as I like adding salt less than a normal person takes....<br/>Coming to ambience- The cafe is small having a seating capacity of about 10-12 people... Still it is very well decorated... And yes you will find many spots to click your picture... A self of well collected books are also available which you can take for reading...<br/><br/>Staff and service- The staffs were very cooperative and they helped me to choose the menu..<br/>The service was good... We didn't had to wait too long..<br/>Highly recommended...

Located in Hidustan Park, the cafè has a very appealing aura with the beautiful decor. The aesthetic interiors with the beautiful, warm lighting makes you feel incredibly cozy. One can enjoy a quiet, alone time here with delicious food to nibble on. The cheesy, gooey Chilli Cheese Cigars and Jalapeno Poppers are an absolute must try for cheese lovers. I could visit this place again and again for it's comforting profile and amazing food!

Beautiful ambience, very cosy and nicely decorated . It's a very small yet a perfect adda zone for a gang. Loved their entire menu . Quite innovative.

Its actually a small cafe near gariahat. Well decorated but deducted 1 star because of the very little space. It'll feel overcrowded when full.<br/>Now coming to the food. It's really good. Specially the chicken lasagna. It's one of the best I've tasted in Kolkata. The other items were good too.<br/>They accept zomato gold which is an added advantage.<br/>We might visit again for that awesome creamy lasagna.

A small place at Hindustan park, the place is quite cozy and can be visited with your loved ones, and you can have an amazing eve. Well, the service being slow was the only con that i could i find. The food is too good, delicious. cold beverages are quite nice as well. Overall, im happy with this place.

The concept of cafe's in Kolkata is growing exponentially and Southern Avenue is no less than Parkstreet these days. Simple Simon is a small cafe situated just opposite to Kimli in Hindustan Road. The cafe can host maximum 10 persons on the go and has a simplistic decor. The cafe is a good option when you are around Gariahat and want to spend sometime talking with your friends and chilling during weekends.<br/><br/>Barbecue Chicken Salad:<br/>This dish in frame is both healthy and tasty. Perfectly cooked barbecue chicken chunks tossed in ranch dressing with grilled onions, avocados, crunchy ice burg and shredded parmesan is sure to make you meal a delightful one. Plenty of flavours, the creaminess and fruity flavour of the avocado, the smokey flavor of the onions and the relishing chicken chunks are wonderfully matched by the cold lettuce leaves and veggies.<br/><br/>Buffalo Wings:<br/>The chicken wings were crispy and tossed in buffalo sauce. Now, buffalo sauce should taste like a right combination of butter, a zesty flavour and heat. The sauce came pretty close to the above described taste but somehow I felt the hint of tanginess was a bit on the higher side. The chicken was tender and well cooked. Overall a good starter I'll recommend anyone who visits the restaurant.

This is one of the many new cafés that have opened up in the Hindustan Park/Golpark area. We visited it in the afternoon recently and rather liked the appearance of the place. It's nice and small, and though the tables are set a little too close together for comfort, it's not too bad in terms of seating arrangements.<br/><br/>We ordered two mocktails and two mains, and that is where we were disappointed. Both mocktails - the “Sunny Day” and the “Lemon Grass Cooler” - were rather good, but the oven-baked stuffed scamorza chicken (misspelled on the menu) did not seem to have any scamorza in it, and the glazed bok choy was extremely salty. The saving grace was the beetroot risotto on which the chicken was served - they might consider serving that as a separate dish.<br/><br/>The second dish ordered, the mi goreng, was more disappointing. It was very dry, and while we expected it to be spicy, this one was so exceedingly spicy that we could not appreciate the other flavours of the dish.<br/><br/>The service was more or less prompt and the servers very polite. While the café itself was very clean, the approach to the toilet, which is located at the end of a narrow passage outside the café, was very dirty.<br/><br/>Since this place is new, they have scope for improvement, so if they address these problems, it should become a good place to visit.

Located in the same lane as Bedwin's roll counter in Golpark, it's a quaint little cafe with few seats.<br/>The food there is good, but nothing exceptional. The buffalo chicken wings are very nice, but the fish is only average. The decor of the place however is excellent, as well as the service. The staff of courteous and helpful.<br/>A good place to randomly grab a bite, if a bit of sophistication is desired.

The place is a bit small but the service is really great. The food, though initially seemed to be a little on the less than sufficient size, actually ended up filling us quite a bit. It was also really tasty.

We visited this simple yet looking-nice cafe yesternight.Seating arrangement, according to me ,was neither cozy nor comfortable.<br/><br/>Coming to the food We ordered-<br/><br/>1)GRILLED PERI PERI COTTAGE CHEESE(2/5)-<br/>the worst starter i have ever had.Paneer slices they served was of lowest quality.I really couldn't find any taste for marination with garlic lime or peri peri sauce !!Rs.245 !!<br/><br/>2)THAI BASIL CHICKEN(3/5)-Taste wise it was okayish. But in comparison with price the dish lacked enough chicken.Rs.275.<br/><br/>3)GRILLED FISH-(4.5/5)-They only delicacy that was up to the mark.Fresh fish fillets were perfectly grilled and got well accompanied with cilantro rice.Rs.395.<br/><br/>4)WARM CHOCOLATE MUD PIE(3/5)-Where was the warmness?? they served it when we were just half-finished with grilled fish !! besides,it was prepared with mainly orero biscuits, very little amount of brownies, vanilla ice cream and hard-to -find choco syrup.Rs.210.<br/><br/>Service was not appreciable.Items were being served while we didn't even finish half portion of the previous one.<br/>And lastly ,I have zomato gold offer for this cafe.According to Gold, the second highest price should be deducted while billing. But they deducted the price of peri peri cottage cheese in place of thai basil chicken !!<br/><br/>So,very unsatisfactory experience !!!

Visited with my friends. It is located opposite Kimli restaurant. Go right towards golpark from gariahat more. Then, you can easily locate on google map!<br/><br/>Mocktails:<br/><br/>1) Pink Paradise (photo given) - I didn't like it that much. It has a peculiar taste of jelly.<br/><br/>2) Apple treat (if you like really sour, you can take it).<br/><br/>3) Orio Shake (I only got the taste of milk and oreo biscuits. Nothing special).<br/><br/>4) Brownie shake (this one is good. A bit chocolaty and sweet).<br/><br/>5)Fresh Lime Soda (the sweet one) - tastes the same as other common places.<br/><br/>Nibbles:<br/>The starters are good. That's why gave it a 3/5.<br/><br/>1) Buffalo wings (photo given) - tastes good.<br/><br/>2) Fish skewers (photo given) - I actually don't eat fish. But since I like to explore, so I always taste a little if someone else takes it. I cannot eat fish because of the smell which I don't get in some of the fish dishes. So if you have a problem with the fish smell, don't take it. Otherwise, others who like fish, will like it :)<br/><br/>3) Thai Basil Chicken (photo given - the one with the black triangular plate) - okayish to me. Not bad or good.<br/><br/>4) Cheese chili cigars (photo given) - full of cheese inside. Good.<br/><br/>Main Course:<br/>We didn't like the dishes in main course that much. I mean its okay but not amazing.<br/><br/>1) Penne Garlic Cream & Cheese Pasta (photo given) - tastes good.<br/><br/>2) Teriyaki chicken with rice & veg (photo given - the one with the chicken and yellow rice) - It has a unique taste. Someone may like it, some may not. Among us, only one friend liked it.<br/><br/>3) Oven baked stuffed scarmozza chicken (photo given - the one with the chicken and pink risotto. Pink colour is due to the presence of beet root I guess) - We didn't like the rice part. But the chicken tasted okay.<br/><br/>4) Chicken lasagna (photo given) - This one tastes really good. It was full of cheese, chicken.<br/><br/>Soup:<br/><br/>Cream of Mushroom (photo given) - nope, none of us liked it that much.<br/><br/>Overall rating - 3/5 mainly due to good nibbles! I cannot say it bad because to me first impression is not the last one. I want to visit again and try new dishes :)

A pretty perfect place for a good gossip. The place is located at Purna Das Road near to Kimli Resturant. The place is small but the ambience is very nice. Bright and well lit. Coming to food, it was pretty good. We ordered Thai Basil Chicken and Cheese Cream Chicken Penne Pasta. I love the way they serve food. Staffs are polite and food is YUM. A must visit for a friend's group and couples.

This quaint cozy café located in the soothing alleys and by-lanes of Hindustan Park is a place you don't wanna miss. The simple and eye soothing interiors with soft music playing in the background is the main beauty of this place. The white, yellow and blue shades give a sweet and subtle look to the café. In addition to this, there's a pretty little book shelf too.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, they have a compact menu consisting of some light and innovative dishes. This place is perfect for the on-the-go plans with your group or may be you can come down and read a book while sipping some coffee or mocktails.

Simple Simon is a cute little Cafe located at Hindustan Park ,very close to the popular restaurant Kimli. The very first thing that will take your attention is the space arrangement. They have utilised the place in a smart way. A 20 seater Cafe that has a very neat look all thanks to the pop bright colours used in blue and yellow. There is a shelf with books placed for people who would like to spend time reading books at Cafes. The glass facade at the entrance allows natural sunlight to enter. It's a cosy little place and has a nice ambience for great meet ups and hangouts. They play nice English music at the background ,the collection is very classic and groovy.<br/><br/>The hospitality is ok but needs to work a little bit more in terms of basics like serving water without alarming. No doubt the service was quick in getting the food and clearing them once completely done. The food here is all about Continental and Asian affair. They open doors from 8:30am on Sundays as they have started Breakfast menu now. And the other days they start from 10:30am. The full menu has quite a lot of varieties to pick.<br/>Some of them which i tried and liked personally were Cream Of Mushroom Soup as the flavours were prominent,Smokey Chicken Salad was very different and had a sweet essence. The Thai Basil Chicken was soft and nice, then the Fish Skewers was good and just melted in the mouth. Next up the Buffalo Wings was ok but the White Sauce Garlic Penne Pasta was the best dish which will bring me back here. Last dish as a main course was the Grilled Fish and i kind of liked that too. Fish was well prepared and the rice was also having the right balance of taste.<br/>From the Desserts i would recommend Caramel Custard as it was prepared very well especially for the strong caramel flavour.<br/><br/>Overall the experience was nice and it's a place to try out soon !
