Review Sufi Palace - Kolkata (Calcutta)

I went to this place after reading other reviews on Google and I was not at all disappointed. The food was delicious and the chicken pieces almost melts in your hands. I had garlic nan, chicken reshmi butter masala and biryani and every dish was delectable. This is probably one of the best mughlai cuisine I have had in Kolkata.

Visited this place a couple of days back and really liked their quality of food. We had ✅ Chicken Biryani, which was good and the piece of chicken was satisfying 🔸 Chicken Reshmi Kebab 🔸 Chicken Tikka kebab Both the kebab I felt was a bit stiff, not much soft to chew.. taste was good though. The best dish I had over there was 🔸Chicken Tangri masala🔸 ✅ This was delicious, the gravy, the softness of the pieces , everything was perfect. This is a must try❤️

The place is one of best Mughlai restaurant of North Kolkata. The ambience was really awesome but there was no space inside, so we had to dine in the outside waiting area. Otherwise the food was really delicious at a very reasonable price. The Chicken Lolipop especially was lip smacking and outstanding in taste. Also the pieces of chicken was quite good and juicy. Crispy chilli baby corn was indeed a 'must try' here. Tandoori Chicken (Gravy) was so good and the juicy pieces literally melt inside mouth. Now coming to the Biryani (Chicken) was the star of the day, Sufi Palace caters one of the best authentic biryani in Kolkata. Firni here deserves a special mention.

In conclusion, Sufi Palace is a restaurant that transports you to the heart of Mughal cuisine. The flavors are authentic, the ambiance regal, and the staff's behavior, satisfactory. If there's one area for improvement, it would be a slightly larger portion size for the biryani compared to the price. Nevertheless, a visit to Sufi Palace promises a memorable and delectable journey into the world of Mughlai cuisine.

Best place near college street, great biriyani. The kabab is best. The atmosphere is also good. Staff is friendly. The mood is light and friendly.

The place quite nice but we orderd Drums of heaven and the courting was all cornflour and the amount of chicken is kind of non existed. Overall place is nice!!

I visited this restaurant during Durga Puja. The ambiance during the Durga puja added a nice touch. However, the service was a bit disappointing. It took longer than usual to get our orders. Despite the friendly atmosphere, the slow service affected the overall experience. I hope they can improve on this aspect in the future. I must say the overall experience was average. If you're looking for good food and don't mind a bit of a wait, this place might still be worth a try.

I will have to say that Quality And Taste of Food is quite capable of Giving a very good competition to Arsalan or Amenia being cheaper than theirs. Biryani, Kebabs are just mouth watering and pretty full filling

I recently visited Sufi Palace and had their Special Mutton Biryani, Cheese Naan, Chicken Tikka Lababdar, and Chicken Angara Kabab. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I enjoyed every bite and would highly recommend it.

Sufi palace is one of the best place for Biryani in Kolkata. Before lockdown I went there and my experience was good. Affordable price ( students can visit there for celebration as well as for couples also best place to have good food with reasonable price). Chicken lolipop very good. Chicken biryani very good. Been here twice. Place is quite spacious and tidy as well. Service is prompt, stuffs are courteous. Food was flavoursome, ordered mutton biryani and chicken chap, biriyani was enough dilapidated with tender piece of mutton. Chap was nicely blended with the chicken as well. Overall a good family dine in.

In Central Kolkata it's the best restaurant to me.Your cravings will be satisfied in affordable prices. The quality and quantity of food is sufficient. You will get Chinese cuisine as well as Indian cuisine. . Once must visit the restaurant and then you will become a fan of their restaurant as I'm. Before lockdown I visited in January for 5th time. The behaviour of the stuffs are very polite and service is too good.

Visited this place last year with my school friends. Sufi Palace is located in M G Road area. The ambience is indeed beautiful. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting options. We opted for the outdoor option which is actually the roof top, and loved the exquisite view and the open ambience. <br/><br/>Coming to the food part, we (count four) ordered :<br/><br/>🔸Chicken reshmi kebab <br/>🔸 Mutton Biryani and salad<br/>🔸Firni <br/><br/>The reshmi kebab was amazing, undoubtedly the best dish of that particular day. The chicken pieces were extremely soft and succulent. Mutton Biryani tasted great, though felt it a bit oily, which is the only negative side. The mutton piece was juicy and decent in size. Our meal ended in a sweet note with firni, which tasted quite good too. The quantity of the biryani was great too. <br/><br/>Overall the experience was really good. Service was fast. Definitely recommended.

It's situated at 6min walking from coffee house. A very good place and beautiful ambience for chinease and mughlai cuisine. Everything was fine but the Management needs to focus more on cleanliness and hygiene. Overall it was a very good experience for the second time. Economical and the service was commendable.

I've visited the place...it's near m.g. road metro station..i've ordered mutton biriyani,nun,tandoori roti,chicken reshmi butter masala and gajar ka halwa...mutton piece in the biriyani is not good enough..but the reshmi butter masala mas extremely buttery and creamy and tastes really nice..gajar ka halwa mesmarised me..it have a good amount of kheer and almonds tastes awesome..the staffs behaviour towards customer is very good..and ambience is so good as well as inner decoration..

At first the ambiance is very good and the staffs are well-known mannered. And the best thing about this restaurant is Good food and it's pleasantl quantity. The Babeque- chicken is soo amazing .

I visited this place during durga puja...we ordered malai kabab chicken tangri butter masala and tandoori ruti....<br/>We told the staff to bring the starter 1st then the main course but he delivered them almost at the same time... Considering the puja time it was ok...the staff behavior was very good which was the only thing that was good.<br/>Now come to the food tandoori was soft and juicy... But too much malai made it worst.... Too much sweet...<br/>The tangri butter masala looked soo great that it will water your mouth but when I take the 1 st bite it was totally aweful....the spices were not cooked properly and it was tasteless specially the chicken..i didn't had any taste...and tthe gravy was awefull...<br/>I had much expectation from here .but my experience was horrible...

Visited this place for school friends reunion and oh boy! We all loved the experience. The food was awesome, the ambiance was pretty darn amazing and the stuffs were lill weird but okay.<br/><br/>We had -<br/><br/>1. Hakka noodles ( tasted delicious, good quantity)<br/>2. Assorted Sufi Kebab platter ( this costed Rs650 but it was worth it, it had 5 types of kebab,2 each including fish, mutton and chicken, higly recommended)<br/>3. The interior is really pretty and the staff extremely courteous. But service is very slow and the crowd in the entire restaurant was too loud to enjoy the meal peacefully. The quantity of the food as well as the price both are quite upto the mark. Would probably choose the delivery option next time.

We ordered Chilly chicken, Schezwan noodles, chicken biryani. Food was tasty. But my glass of water contains something so I told staff to change it he bring another but it smells like a rotten fish kind of. Overall a good restrauant to visit with family.

In the New Year's Eve we had a college friends reunion at this restaurant which is near to College Street. College Street is a nostalgic place for all of us. This is place where Mughal Dishes are served better. Though this place also serve Chinese foods too. We had Murgh Angara Kebab as starter, which was a mouth watering dish. Next we had Chicken Patiala with Tandoori Ruti. Chicken Patiala was spicy and had a Mughalese flavor, served with a Egg poached topping.<br/>One should visit this place in North Kolkata and taste some Mughal dishes.

The ambience is amazing.. The quality of food is also good and also price is reasonable.We ordered chicken cheese kabab and Mutton bara kabab and both of them were quiet good.. The staffs are also cordial.

I passed by many times but 1 day before I visited this place. The arrangements are classy,clean, the environment is pleasant. All things are well arranged. Service is really good. The people are very humble and polite.<br/>Now comming to the food. I only eat EGG CHICKEN roll but (one grain of rice can tip the scale) get the idea of the overall quality of the food. The EGG CHICKEN ROLL is itself really delicious. I would like to visit soon.<br/>Sadly I have no picture today.Maybe next times.

We went here to dine during Durga Puja. We sat at the AC junction which is a bit costlier than the non AC one. I generally don't like Biriyani but this place changed my mind. The Mutton biriyani smelled and tasted just perfect ( but the oil was a bit too much). Overall a thumbs up and 5 stars from me.

It was my husband's birthday & we decided to dine in Sufi palace. This place is situated at the crossing of M G road. I heard a lot about this place & trust me it's worth it from food to staff, from decor to ambience everything about this place is very good. It's a place where you get both "QUALITY N QUANTITY ". The service is also fabulous & the staff are on their toes with a quick service so that you don't have to wait for too long.<br/><br/>Coming to food what to say everyone in my family has become a FAN of the awesome taste. I think it's a good competition to India Restaurant in Mughlai. We tried both Mughlai & Chinese, though it's famous for Mughlai dishes but their Chinese is also very good.<br/><br/>In starters we ordered Chicken 65, Fish in sweet chilli sauce, Crispy chicken, Pan fried chicken momo, trust me all the starters were yumm 😋 😋 . In main course we ordered Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Masala Kulcha, Mutton Rezala, Chicken lababdaar, Mutton chaap etc. Rezala was the best & a must try.<br/><br/>I wanna thank that one particular staff (who has a beard: Sorry I don't know the name) who was really very courteous to hold my 5 months old little munchkin for sometime bcoz he was not allowing us to eat at all & wanted to snatch everything out there 😀😊😀

It’s casual dining restaurant and they serve Chinese and North Indian dishes. The decor is all mirror and golden walls giving it a very regal look. The ambience of this restaurant and food is very good. And the price is also very reasonable. It has a rooftop restaurant. Best place for Dineout with your friends and family. Hospitality is also good. Overall a good experience.

The food is very good and the behavior of the staff is very good. The resturant is not so big but not small it is like medium. And the interior portion of the resturant is quite good

Absolutely loved their Chicken Patiala, the taste was perfect and the portion size was good. The egg wrapped chickens were great and the gravy tasted exactly as it should in a patiala.

Visited this place few days back....this place is near College Street more. The ambience is really nice and the staff was well behaved. Now coming to the food we ordered a chicken dish which was wrapped in egg (sorry forgot the name) and Butter Naan. According to me the gravy was very to less to have it with naan other wise the taste was good

What a place it is. The amazing ambiance with amazing environment with amazing food at that price. Really an amazing experience to visit this place.

It was a nice place with good ambience. We visited here during pujas and surprisingly unlike other restaurants, they didn't compromise their quality or quantity to meet the high number of customer demands.<br/>We went with some of the common dishes there which were high on demand but they were pretty tasty.<br/>Apart from biryani i went for mutton tikia and mutton do pyaza and they were 4.3 and 4 respectively if i rate them out of five.<br/>Apart from these we tried butter nan, chicken butter masala. All dishes were above par level.<br/>Food was great and service was good as well.<br/>Overall a very good experience, i would definitely count it as one of the best restaurants in that whole sealdah, college street region.

In this Puja I went their with my friend. Our order was Tandoori roti , chicken do -piyazi, chicken Keema ( they also gave an additional egg also), chicken tandoori and Firni. The ambiance was nice and the food quality was also quite good. For me the best one is Chicken Do-piyazi . The tandoori roti and tandoori chicken was fried too much otherwise all the Dishes was yummy. The desert Firni it's just awesome actually I took it as parcel.

Sufi Palace was on my list for a long time and finally I managed to visit on the day of Sosti , it was crowded but luckily we didn't have to wait for long. I was surprised to see a hotel room turned into a dine - in area. But it was acceptable as there was a rush during the puja days.<br/><br/>We ordered A plate of Special Mutton Biriyani which had 2 pieces of mutton ( not satisfactory at all) , a piece of potato and a piece of egg . The taste was fine but the quantity as compared to the price was very less , I mean both of us are average eaters and generally we share a plate of Biriyani which is enough for us , but the quantity here didn't satisfy and left us asking for more , Hence we ordered a plate of Mutton Chap which was again "Good to taste but Bad to fill ur Hunger"<br/><br/>Lastly we took 2 Firnis and now this was something really good so no regrets for Firni.<br/><br/>What we did not like was that the waiters were showing a hurry indirectly trying to explain us that - Finish your food fast and leave , this sort of attitude I guess isn't expected from a restaurant with such high ratings. But yes I must say that the quality was good Only the quantity needs to be increased as compared to the price.

The butter chicken was superb in taste and the quantity is sufficient for two .<br/>We had butter chicken with rumali roti which was soft and big in size than usually we had at other places.<br/>Now the best thing i loved at this place was Chicken Malai Kebab , it was juicy and tender from inside. It was well cooked all the spices with the cream makes it such a delight for every chicken lover 😍.
