Quality and quantity of food was beyond expectation. Behavior of all staffs were pretty well and they were even guiding to choose the right dish with drinks. Service is great . Must visit .

Rose restaurant has been our family restaurant for years. We admire the quality of food served. You get the actual flavor and essence of that Mughal food. Also you get a variety of beverage that includes alcohol too. Inspite of being this great at it's services and quality, you do have to wait a long time to get a table during any of occasion.

Food is quite good especially dosas; masala is quite delicious. Not bland like some of the better known eateries. Fried rice, chilly chicken n other Chinese dishes are well made. All in all food is tasty.

Cheap and best place to have food. The portion of the food served is really very good.

outstanding ambience and the cooperation from all staff can not be forgotten... couple of days ago, i visited to celebrate my gf's b'dy party and it was the perfect place to do so as all the staffs were very helpful and supported us friendly.. They arranged everything that was very beautiful. they clicked pictures for us ..they encouraged us and joined in our celebration... i must say that if you have low budget and wanna do something special then visit here and celebrate any occasion in a pocket friendly budget..

Ambience is great.both Quality and quantity are mind blowing. Biryani tastes like heaven. 2 plates of biryani can serve 3 people .

It's extremely sad to see the current state of affairs at rose. Rose used to be our goto place for south indian in north calcutta but our last experience was really bad. The menu has been cut to minimal owing to the pandemic. That's ok, what was not ok was getting soggy vadas and coke without fizz. The itthapam used to be nice n crisp , this time the image can give you a good idea of the state of affairs . I hope that this is just a passing phase and post the pandemic they can get back to previous levels .

A place to relish for and most important is that you can have the no of dishes from their house as you like it to be all eggless cake and most important is that the pastries and cakes are worth dying for. A must visit for all😊

I order from The Rose kankurgachi outlet many times, we have ordered takeaway from here. Today when I was serving myself to eat, just came across this. Some leg of some insect was present. It was utter shame that this is happening in such a reputed restaurant. The insect leg was there in the Paneer Butter masala. After looking at this I just couldn't eat this food. This is not what we expect from such a good restaurants. Feels so yuck now that I have seen this. We had to throw away the full food.

1. The chicken parcel is my all time favourite item . It contains white sauce into it and enough number of chicken . And if you are a cheese lover (just cheesy smell, never found it ) you should definately try it once .<br/><br/>2. The chicken ss is kind of chinese tasted dish . It is made of like red chilli chicken sauce and delicious in taste in a very affordable price . The only feedback is that i does'nt contain enough chicken into it .

The restaurant needs to improve a lot on it's hygiene . The tables had small cockroaches and sofa had some kind of mites which made the experience worst . There is no question of second visit to this place unless until the any care taken on it's hygiene . Service is pathetically slow .<br/>All in all the bad experience of dinning one can ever have .

I visit this place very often, as it is just across my home. The food quantity and quality is really good. The south Indian and the Chinese food here is really recommended. The only problem is it is small in size, so there are only tables for 4, so if it is a big group you have to take more than one tables.

Rose Restaurant at Kankurgachhi is one of the worst restaurants in Kolkata. The behaviour of stuffs are terrible and hostile, the food is pathetic and testless, the stuffs are arrogant and very rude. They did not have courtesy to communicate with customers and Food are served very last after ordering.<br/>It's terrible restaurants.

Have been visiting rose since a decade and I must say I have never returned dissatisfied ,be it food be it service. I have never been able to figure out which cuisine is better coz I love all the three Chinese , Indian and South Indian .

I have visited often. Of late the taste of food and service have both gone down drastically. Tapan Ghosh, one of the head waiters, is rude. Waiters are busy txting on phone. I ordered 3 flavoured Non Veg Noodles. It tasted awful. It was cold too. I asked a waiter to get it warmed in microwave. Still it was listless and cold. Noodles usually are served hot and steaming. This was barely warm. Taste was bad. I have had food here before. Both in the bar on the ground floor and 1st floor bars. Used to be really good.<br/>I will never go back again though it's so near to me. Made a mistake of dropping by as it was near and I was hungry.

Recently in my two visits to this place, I found COCKROACHES crawling in the furniture n light panels. When i asked them the waiter said pest control karaya but abi bi hai. I wonder about the hygiene in their kitchen. I hav been coming to this place for a long time . No doubt i love the food here. But will definitely avoid this place now onwards becz cockroaches are a problem in this restaurant. BE SAFE. BE AWARE. No restraunt has the right to do business at the cost of our health and hygiene.

Although intact in its ambience , Rose the one time non veg haunt in kankurgachi among the many veggie ones I think has fallen in its standards.<br/>Firstly only Chinese was available. We ordered only snacks like fish finger, a salt pepper chicken, a red pepper chicken which was suggested by the staff , a chicken noodle soup and lime sodas. Firstly the food came in bouts not together, and it was all average. The fish finger had 8 on a plate but charged 325.<br/>The salt and pepper chicken was rather on the dry side.<br/>Overall a very mediocre experience. Leaving much to desire.

I have visited here with my office colleagues.Firstly my colleagues are greeted by their staff in most unproffessional and rude way. Secondly most surprisingly we have found that in the dinning table cockroaches are roaming.Also human hair and cockroaches found in food and plates.Is this the way to run a food place in the name of hygein.very bad and pathetic ecperience.

This is the first time I have ordered form Rose as recommended by one of my friend. And it really satisfied and pleased me. I ordered it for my birthday and each and everyone liked it. It was a pure chocolate cake and had the exact flavour of it. It was really delicious and mouthwatering. And inside they serve chinese continental amd south indian food. Visited here on valentine's day for dinner. Ordered chicken fried rice , chef's special chicken which was filled with cashew and pineapple all sorts of other veggies. It was wrapped in an egg omlette. A pocket friendly place to eat at while on a daily rush. South Indian dishes are good. I surprisingly liked pizza. If you cross this place sometime, you may hop in. You need not to visit the place by taking extra effort. Overall, it's a good pocket friendly place. Happy fooding! :)

Though a bit high priced but one can opt for it for its tasty food. Try to avoid weekends sprcially after 7.30 as the place is not so big and easily becomes over crowded.

This is one of my fav restaurants in Kolkata. Situated nearby tu my house, they deliver hot and sumptuous south Indian food within a matter of 20 mins. The only concern I have is that the delivery staff is not available all the time. Hence they should opt for swiggy or zomato to enable delivery round the clock.

Worst restaurant I have ever visited in my lifetime. The food is poisonous. On 25th April I visited this restaurant for lunch with my family. I ordered chicken fried rice chilli paneer and chilli chicken . The food while eating tasted as usual cuz we keep visiting then and now . But from next day onwards my whole family including me suffered from incessant vomiting and diarrhoea and it has been almost a week that I haven't recovered fully. My Dr from columbia asia too suggested that the cause of the illness was from outside food. Guys plz dnt visit this restaurant. It has no consistency in its quality of food. I will never recommend it to anyone.

Great dining place. Ideal for a date. The price of the food is average. The ambience is satisfying. Bar is available here too. The mutton kosha and kulcha is fabulous. The biriyani too taste great. The price is a bit heavy on pocket.

The place is quite small and remains crowded most of the time, possibly because of the lack of good restaurants nearby. The prices were quite high which was a bummer considering how the place is done up. We had ordered Chinese and a pizza, the quantity of the food was superb which kinda made up for the pricing. The taste was decent, not too bad not too good, somewhere in the middle. Not a bad option to visit if you are in that area.

My home my place and have been there every time I reach Kolkata. Tasty food served hot with minimalist attitude and great 👍 service. The tandoori and the Singapore noodles and the biryani for my mom has always lived upto its experience and expectations. The Rose Restaurant - A great experience. <br/>=====<br/>Intro:<br/><br/>This is located somewhere near Kankurgachi inside a hotel. I am not very familiar with the roads of Kankurgachi. I had been returning from Madhyam Gram with a friend of mine when i had got to try this restaurant. <br/><br/>The ambiance of the restaurant is a little dimly lit but has got class service (courteous staffs) and good food. As we were in a hurry and did not want to eat much, we just went on ordering the nibbles.<br/>=====<br/>What we tried:<br/><br/>○ Sweet Corn Chicken Soup - The soup arrived quite fast. It had ample chicken pieces. The gravy was not very thick. It was just perfect. The corns were perfectly boiled. The soup tasted Great. #nomnomnom<br/><br/>○ Chicken Lollipop - The Lollipop was good too. However, the coating could have been a little thin and it was a little dry. Nonetheless, tasted really good. I took a bit of ketchup with it. #perfect #lipsmacking<br/>=====<br/>Pros:<br/>○ Amazing ambiance.<br/>○ Good food quality.<br/>○ Courteous staffs.<br/>○ Good hospitality.<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>○ Prices are somewhat elevated.<br/>=====<br/>Meal for two: 500 - 1000 approximate (Prices are subject to change due to macro economic factors such as inflation, etc. <br/>=====<br/>Summary:<br/><br/>Presentation 3.6/5<br/>Quality 4.5/5<br/>Quantity 3.9/5<br/>Taste 4.3/5<br/>Hygiene 4.2/5<br/>Ambiance 4.2/5<br/>Hospitality 4.1/5<br/>VFM 3.8/5<br/>=====<br/>Conclusion:<br/><br/>It was a good experience here. I love those places which gives good service. If the staffs are courteous, the experience automatically is enhanced and a customer feels more comfortable to talk, ask and experiment. :) I will be coming here soon again to try out their other items. <br/>=====<br/>Unbiased review based on my dine-in experience.

The Rose is located beside Pantaloons, Kankurgachi. This place serves north indian, chinese as well as south indian food. It also caters cakes and pastries. Both the food and the ambience is average.

So sofisticated place.. Very much tasty food and good staff.. crispy chilli baby corn, chilli chicken and fish fried rice we ordered... yumm yumm.. loved it...

There are two outlets of The Rose at Kankurgachi and both of them are placed near The Pantaloons. I have been to one of them but it is very difficult from the addresses on Zomato, to identify the one I actually visited. To be on the safe side, I am giving a similar rating for both of them.<br/><br/>I have been to the outlet of The Rose with two friends of mine for a casual outing. The sitting area was on the first floor and we made ourselves to the place.<br/><br/>The place was dimly lit but the staffs were extremely courteous. We were approached almost instantly for order. We requested him to wait as we need ourselves to get settled, to which he clearly obeyed.<br/><br/>Taking a bit of time, we ordered for one plate of Chicken Fried Rice with a Chowmein followed by Veg Manchurian. The order delivery took a bit of time but it did not bother us as were looking for a quality time together.<br/><br/>When the order finally arrived, they made sure that the food gets divided equally to all three of us. This, they did without us requested which earned them a brownie point.<br/><br/>The food did not taste exceptionally good but it was really better. However, it is to be noted that the price of the items are on the higher side.<br/><br/>During the Bengali New Year, the waiter approached me and directly asked for money saying it is a New Year and you ought to give us,. The way he approached and said the stuffs did not go down with me and reduced the ratings!

I have become a fan of the Tandoori moorg from this place!<br/>Never like before.<br/>Also, the fish Manchurian and schezwan chicken are brilliant.<br/>Also,<br/>This is by far probably the only place that has Kaali daal on it's menu!

Rose is one of my favourite restaurant's. The various types of cuisine's offered is a plus point. The quality of the food is well maintained and the taste has not been compromised with..they maintain the quality as well as the taste of the food..my favourite dish was the panneer roll and the paneer tikka butter masala..Everyone should must give a try.

Ambiance: Good. The ambiance is good even for a romantic date.<br/>Service: Good<br/>Food quality: Could have been better. Curries are of same taste.
