Review Aqua Java - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Aqua Java lives up to it's name once again on this branch as well. All the dishes I tasted was really very well made. The food was fresh and tasty. I just can't give it a 4* as well. Must visit if you like tasty dishes.

This is a pretty good place for a bite. Aqua Java is quite the popular name in Kolkata. We ordered the club sandwich and the burger with fries and a can of coke too. The food tastes good and the quantity was quite good. Even though you'd love these items to be non-veg they only serve veg. But for what it's worth, it does taste good. This particular outlet has a seating area in front as well as one that is inside which is if you chose to smoke hookah and have a gala time with your friends. Thus this is a good place for all kinds of outing and plans. The waiters were also quite cordial and welcoming. The experience here was good. I would definitely recommend it to the people who like vegetarian items.

Geat cafe to go to with friends.... Quality food & drink items at an affordable rate. Easy location, just a 5min walking distance from Minto park crossing, and just past the Belle Vue Clinic Hospital. Great staff, dishes served fresh and hot and quickly too. Overall, a must visit, place!

First time hookah experience.. just awesome...

Ofcourse Taste wise they are up to the mark but I am impressed with their hospitality much more. I was not well the day I went there and I was with my Mom who is aged and we just came out from the Nearby famous Nursing home, the courtesy and hospitality they shown to us is just overwhelming!! They gave us separate space where we can rest and that too for long time. They didn’t force us for any order in that long time we rested there other than one we ordered by our own. They also have varieties of foods and fresh atmosphere. I strongly recommend this place.

Brain freezer hookah was one of the best I've ever had. Mocktails were also good. Very reasonable price. Only they need to improve the ambience as it is very bright unlike a hookah place generally is.

Food and beverages are good to taste. The place is hygienic and staff are very friendly. They lose out on a star because of the "value for money" product is not appropriate to my senses. I feel the prices are a bit on the higher side here.

Sooo a cafe with a bigger brand now a days, specially known for hookah. We went for 2 hookah 3 soft drinks and a pizza , it was pretty good in taste

This is a good place for hangout and hookah. It remains open late night. You can come late and have a bite here. Behaviour of the service people is also very cordial.

The staff members are good and some of the dishes are good too like coffee, pasta, chelo kebab and brownie while dishes like maggi and bhel is just pathetic.

EMPTY On a Saturday Night,dull ambience,Shisha lost its fun with 5 mins, no music sysyem- they play music on the TV on a channel.. Crispy Baby Corn was soggy with a sauce that left tuste buds hoarse.... Recommendation: Don't visit, You are in area with lots of other options ....choose wisely😉

Best dish over there is Wai wai bhel which is like any thing snack. Hookah is nice.

This is a pure vegetarian Cafe situated in Loudon Street. The Food menu is good was not so pleased With the beverage menu. Food is good.

Creamy and cheesy, filled with veggies,I loved it.<br/>The hot chocolate was love love love!!!! It was the best hot chocolate I've ever had!! It's a bliss to have this hot chocolate in the cold season,it tasted heavenly!!!<br/>The ambience is good. But the best thing about this place is that they have a separate section for hookah,so the people who don't like hookah wouldn't get bothered by it's smell. I have never eaten food this bad.. we ordered for a pasta in mix sauce and pan fried mushrooms.. they charge ₹299 for the pasta which includes only sauce and boiled pasta then to add veggies to it they charge ₹45 extra and they give some 4-5 pcs pf veggies in that that too only carrot and zucchini no bell peppers no onions nothing.. then the mushroom was tasteless we could taste only soy sauce.. we asked them to change so they added tomato sauce and got it back.. when we asked them to serve us regular drinking water we were denied saying that they serve only bottled water as they dont have a filter and that they have only tap water.. i would like to know that a place like this makes its food in TAP WATER !!?? <br/>They are here to make money and not actually do any service to the customer.. never going back.. <br/>bad service bad food and not even hygienic <br/>

I had a very bad experience after been a regular Customer of the place.<br/><br/>The Manager of the place was very rude and the staff wr not present to take order every time we had to wait for atleast 10-15 minutes to order some thing or we had to go to the counter and call them to take orders. After complaining such thing to the Franchisee Owner the manger (NOT SURAJ) misbehaved and was rude in front of the owner.<br/><br/>In simple words the Manger was not qualified to be the manger of such place he is just a trash which has to been thrown out of the place.

This restaurant is run by Harshad Ruia ..I am co owner of the property ...my Ruia is forcefully using the space without paying rent and not vacating ..I am writing here because he is not picking up calls /not responding to emails ...he has not paid rent for 3 months which is more than 1.5 lakhs ....

The interior of place was good. I personally liked the place because it was not very dull place. Food was good. Pizza were ok and fondue was clasic.

Visited here with a friend. Nice ambience although a little rework here and there may look good. Service was really awesome. We had Fettuccine Al Fungi (basically pasta in white sauce with mushrooms), it came with a garlic bread which was undercooked. The pasta was refreshing in taste and quite basic. A bit low on salt but it didn’t matter much. If you want to grab a quick bite with your friends in Camac street, I would recommend this place.

My worst experience at aqua java was years back when they were located at Wood Street. Although this was only slightly better than the last visit. On my last visit, there were little cockroaches in the sitting area so cleanliness and hygiene wise 1 extra star. We ordered an aj special pizza and lasagne. Lasagne was watery and did not have a bottom layer of lasagne sheet/pasta. Pizza was okay nothing special about it though. There are much better pizzas available at other places. Service was much worse than the usual cafés in town, the service was bad when I visited earlier. They did not bring bill to the table even though we called for it out loud. They allow hookah smoking in a non smoking zone. Actually, we had planned to go to wokaholic, but since it was closed this was the only nearest option. You can seriously get better food and much better service at any other place.

Good seating arrangements too.<br/>I had visited other Aqua Java outlets like the one at Saltlake Sector 1 a couple of times in the past, and like all the other times, my experience at this outlet was indeed a good one too... The kitkat shake and the Blueberry mint yoda soda were refreshing and the tasty garlic bread, crispy chilli babycorn and the masala french fries satisfied my hunger. Every dish was in surplus amount and interestingly the masala french fries here, are a little different of a kind from the ones I have had at other different cafes, and this, does taste way better. Had a great time indeed. Also, thanks to Zomato Gold, that we had one of our food dish for free.

Had one of the worst experiences ever. We ordered a peri peri pizza which was basically tasteless and more like rubber. The staff was impolite and rude. Instead of replacing the pizza, they argued with us and the tone was just not right. Would not recommend this place go anyone. Awful service.

Hello. I am sorry to say utterly dissapointed. The staff here dosent know how to make food and is not trained. I heard th asking their people how to make ceasar salad and the truffle was horrible. It seemed like cake dipped in chocolate sauce. And the plates that came to me and the fork had soap in it. I removed it with a hanky. Never returning back to this place. Sunday was ruined.

Used to go here a lot when during college time. It has somehow lost all its past charm. With so many new hookah places coming up in the city, they couldn't cope up.

But one of them helped me choose the above drink.<br/>The drink arrived after five minutes. It was fabulous.<br/>Price moderate.<br/>Parking on paid basis.<br/>I shall come again as it is on my way in order to try solid food.

Good service and v large servings of food quite unlike most cafes. I had the fries which were quite yummy and the cappuccino was nicely done as well. However the Tandoori Momos were a let down as they tasted nothing like a momo and were stuffed with paneer to top it off. The chocolate shake was avoidable as well. So a mixed experience.

Since this is near to my place, I have visited there a number of times. It is a simple cafe with few games available. The food is good and so are the drinks. You can sit there, complete your work while snacking. Also , a go to place for college students for completing project works.

After a long long time today I had huka. And it was a kind of need to be present at Aqua Java. Today it was my first experience with them it was wonderful. I love their concept of adding Huka with coffee shop. and the best part is they have a separate section for it, just one thing was missing personally I felt the dim light 💡 option. Huka becomes more dhasu with dim light .. and that drink oh my god! kit kat shake it tested like heaven 🙏.. A must try there.

I visited this place few days ago. Tred their thin crust Margherita pizza. It was yummy and chessy. But I think they charges too much for service charge.

Awesome ambience and good food sums up this place. Loved the atmosphere and in winter being outdoors and in the rooftop makes for an enjoyable evening.. But even in summer evenings, one can still sit outside as it is on the roof. Liked their chairs, giving a different look...Surrounded by potted greens and the adjoining pool, may seem like a haven away from the bustle of Park Street round the corner.

Located just below the Consulate of Zambia in the lane of Bellevue clinic, this cafe is a really cozy version of the aqua Java chain. With an outdoor seating arrangement and an inner smoking zone, this place is really cozy. We ordered a rose-springwater combo hookah and 2 moctails - green apple and blueberry mojito. The coal served was really less with the hookah.. so we had to order a coal change. The changed coal lasted much longer than the first one. So might be that they give small coals at first to ensure that a coal change is requested. The mocltails were fine. Staffs are helpful. Cash n card accepted. However, when paid in cash they tend to not return the change. My bill was something87/- and I gave them all hundred rupee notes. The return should have been 13 rupees, instead they returned a 10 rupee note. Besides, they also charge a 10% service charge over the bill. Hospitality is ok. But this kind of behavior is not acceptable. Since it was only 3 rupees, so we didn't create a chaos. But this should not have been done.

Aqua java, Loudon Street. This aqua java is a quite peaceful. Gathering of people is less over here. So i went with a coupon of ₹179 which fetched me a exotic shisha and loaded fries. No doubt both of them were good. Well the space inside is even quite moderate. Service is good. Food were fresh. They gave Jallepeno with loaded fries which tastes amazing. Should give it a try. Not that bad either! Kudos! 🐱

One of the worst experience in the recent that I had with a cafe. Had ordered a salad and it was almost an hour and it was not served and then the reply for the delay was that they were making it fresh. If any one of you get your salad early then kindly do not have it as it would be a stale salad and not a fresh one

Overall, it wasn't a very nice hangout for me. The coffee was good, there's no doubt about that. However, the pizza and nachos weren't tasty. Since they're a cafe they should focus on their menu wholly. The food needs to be made better and tasty.

Interiors are normal and kept simple. The seating area is small and has very less to offer. The place overall is okay to be in, the staffs are less attentive but generous enough. We were a group of 15 people so to help us sit properly they offered us a private section where we felt hospitable enough to carry on with our purpose of meeting. Food served tasted okay nothing to hype over. It's a good place to kill time over sisha maybe.

This place is beside bellevue clinic. They need to really renovate their ambience. We got an offer from book my show one cappuccino free if we have cappuccino. So we ordered two cappuccino along with masala french fries. coffe & snaks were okay. But i'm highly disappointed with their service. They do over charge. They charged 30 rs for 500 ml water, and it was not even sealed. Where we get 500ml water for 10 rs from outside, what was the need to pay extra 20??<br/>And last but not the least they charged extra 10% service tax which made us very angry.😣😣 Most of the restaurant charge 14.5% vat & 5.6% service tax. But they charge extra 10% along with those.<br/>I will never visit this place.Samrat Baskey

Came to Aqua Java Loudon after spending whole day at hospitals for some soul food and coffee. The service is pits. Ordered a Fungi Pasta described as pasta in white sauce with button and shiitake mushrooms and mushroom cheese toast. After 10 minutes got a plain pasta in white sauce. Returned the same and it came back after 10 minutes with only button mushrooms. When I asked the cook about it he said the pasta is supposed to have only button mushrooms. I told him the menu says otherwise and he said not possible. When asked to check the menu he leafed through the menu card for 5 minutes and was not able to find the dish. WOW a chef who does not know his menu. On being shown the menu description he said we don't stock shiitake mushrooms as they are more expensive. Meanwhile no sign of the mushroom cheese toast. They forgot that part of the order till we reminded them after it had not come after 30 minutes. Rajdeep Rukshana if you could get this feedback to the right person.

Came here as it is close to Belle Vue clinic. The place itself needs new furniture and a renovation and also the toilet has to be improved. I ordered ice tea and the veg caneloni, they were just ok but expensive for the quality if u add all their taxes. Also notice that they dont give the whole change back

Not so great place and doesn't do justice with Aqua Java brand. It doesn't even have a environment of hookah parlour, not recommended to be visited.

As per government norms Resturant, Airport & Cafes cannot charge more then the MRP of water every where 500 ML water cost is Rs. 10 but Aqua Java has taken out the new venture with its own packing MRP of 500ML is Rs. 30 thats a best way to make there guest unanswerable if 500ML water is available in the market at Rs. 10 then why should we pay extra Rs. 20 are u guys providing some extra minerals.

I am a hookah lover and this is the only reason I visit Aquajava at times. Also when I am nearby this area this place is on my list. Mocha Magic and a hookah with ice base is a good time pass. This place can be better in terms of service.

Strategically located, Nice joint for an Adda session...However the food served doesn't stand up to the expectation....they should work on improving the quality and taste.....

Located next to bell vue hospital. Very very disappointed with their poor service and food quality. Jalepeno cheese ball was served after 30 mins which was just a stone- hard to dig the fork into the cheese ball. Just had a bite - simply dumped with flours with no traces of melting cheese, over fried and burnt. Though this appetizer was not charged to my bill.Staffs are more busy staring at the television than attending the guests. Rating 2.0 is only for the chocolate truffle shake which tasted good.

Best place to hangout with friends and the staff are very polite which makes the place more comfortable.I recommend that everyone should visit once.

Restaurant had taken wrong order for some reason and overcharged me. Food was delivered cold.I complained to Zomato and they are offering me Zomato credits so that I can use their pathetic and bad service again. Earlier, too their service was below standard. Not the first time but ordering through Zomato for the last time. Zomato should be ashamed of themselves , causing trouble to consumers.

Located very close to bell vue hospital on loudon street. A very good location to do well. However poor food and service. The interiors are just about ok. Service is slow and not up to the mark. <br/>Food and drink are pathetic. <br/>We ordered green apple soda, lemon ice tea, masala french fries. All were so bad that we had to ask for the bill. The music played was also bad.

Came for a short break over here once a few months back. This is an all veg place. Didn't like it although. Tried the Cappuccino and Masala Loaded Fries. The food and the beverage were good but I was disappointed with the absence of non veg items.

This use to be a nice place but since sometime service is bad. <br/>I had free Aqua Java coffee card and they say they can give soda only. Whereas card clearly states hot/cold coffee. After arguing he says you want take a cappuccino. What was that??!!!<br/><br/>So we ignore the card and order our coffee and food. Which is so slow service. After that they give a bill which is not proper and charge 33% tax!!! It's handwritten bill and not a computer print. So not paisa goes to tax. <br/>33% tax on complete bill?? What was the calculation? Why open a fancy place and loot people? Take out your knives and ask money. <br/>Please avoid this place. It's not matter of money it's about ethics. You charge 1000 bucks for coffee I will pay cause that's your call. But then you give me a proper bill. Am ready to pay whatever tax you want to put..100% tax but on a legit bill.

Ordered for a white sauce pasta and potatoes on the pot with a special mention of it being non spicy( it's not supposed to be I know) as a take away. The stuff was bad... No taste. It was the second experience in two days. Earlier it was some spinach rolled in pasta sheets.... The filling not good and even the sheets were ... What to say chewy... Whatever. Earlier this place was much better... So still a chance<br/>

Kinda liked this place. Brought friends here from Chennai and they were amazed by the hookah and smoke. The lounge was closed when I went so that was a bummer. The food is excellent and so are the beverages. Overall good place.

This particular outlet of Aqua Java used to be a favourite haunt during college times. We used to drop in almost every day. We used go to share one plate of nachos or brownie with ice cream. Too many memories attached with this place.<br/><br/>I went day before yesterday after almost a year. The interiors have been refurbished. The hookah was superb. Staff was cordial. <br/><br/>We ordered :<br/>Crunchin Java<br/>Lemon iced tea<br/>Jacket potatoes<br/>Wai wai<br/>Brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce<br/>Hookah<br/><br/>The drinks were very good but I somehow felt the Crunchin Java used to be more chocolatey earlier.<br/><br/>Wai wai is a must try here. They make it the best ( Baby corn and bell pepper slithers with lots of oregano, chilli flakes and garlic).<br/><br/>The jacket potato was very yummy, melt in the mouth with a twist. It had some chocolate sauce drizzled on top. Only I felt the quantity was less only 2 pieces.<br/><br/>A bite of the brownie took me down memory lane. <br/><br/>The hookah stole the show for me . A stark improvement from last year. The flavour , base everything was perfect.<br/><br/>I guess I'm gonna be a Regular at this place like old times. Amazing place, staff, food. Must visit. Have the chocolate sauce, you'll go gaga! Just amazing. The noodles and assorted vegetables!!! Pasta is also amazing.

Good food and hookah. Good place to relax. But with few cons.<br/>1. Same music runs over and over again. 3 or 4 songs repeatedly running.<br/>2. Many of the hookah flavours that are on the menu is not available.<br/>3. Many of the food items are not available. <br/><br/>It is like they would give you few options and you can choose. They why the menu card.

Recently had their Brownie Java and Wai wai hakka. Both were super tasty. Got it home delivered. Service was prompt. Hope to visit the cafe some day and try the hookah and other shakes.

The first time I tried shisha was this plc only. Don't evn remember how long back it was.. So today I thought of giving it a review. Cool couch, I always liked to be seated extremely inside. Hukka was amazingly strong yet smooth and I had a bad headache cuz it was the first tym, though it still happens. I remember had ordered pizza ummmmm rest dont evn remember .. Friendly staff..Cool crowd..

The manager needs to learn maths.. He brings 20/- change when you give him 1100/- for the bill of 1015/-.. For sure on purpose.. Food is extremely below expectations..
