Review Aminia Behala - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Good food. I ordered 2 Mutton Biryanis, Mutton Awadhi Biryani, Chicken Cheese Kabab, and Mutton Kasha. Mutton Biryani was so light and tasty. I expected mutton piece of Biryani would be a little more tender. Same feedback for Awadhi Biryani, too. Its spicy and different than normal dum Biryani. In my father's opinion, Mutton Kasha was delicious and perfect 🥰. Chicken Cheese Kabab was good. But too much cheese on it. The ambiance was good. And staffs are polite and well behaved.

This place needs no introduction. Located in a prime area of taratala, it provides valet parking which is a big plus point since finding parking on D.H Road can be difficult. The ambience gives a shahi-but-modern vibe which goes well with the mughal food that the restaurant serves. The food here is delicious especially the mutton biriyani which has rewaji mutton pieces. Despite being masaledar mughal food, it does not feel very heavy while eating unlike some other places. Coming to service, it has room for improvement. The service is slow and servers had to be reminded of orders. Also we had to ask for cutlery. Overall this place is worth a visit especially if you are a fan of biriyani or the Aminia special. Traditional Mughlai food joints in Kolkata Aminia opened several branches across the city. The Behala branch is located just next to Ajanta Cinema and in front of Taratala Metro Station. Due to the construction of Metro, business was not good, but it is picking up now. Holding valet parking system is added advantage. The food is good, but somewhere, the flavor of New Market Aminia is missing. Spacious seating accommodation and prompt service must win your smiles. Pocket friendly, too.

The food was satisfactory. We ordered a half plate of chicken tandoori in which one of the chicken pieces was quite charred though they changed it after addressing. The service person was trying to sell biriyani but we were determined to not have biriyani that day 😂. Overall I had a good time .

We really liked the food. We had North Indian cuisine. The stuffed kulcha and special naan was really nice. The kebabs were largely good. The malai kebab was a bit on the harder side. Lahori Chicken was kinda disappointing both in terms of taste and quantity. Chicken tandoori butter masala was very tasty. Even, the sweet lime soda was great. The Shahi Firni was amazing as well !

Located at 54 Diamond Harbor Road, Pathak Para, Behala, this outlet of Aminia is decorated beautifully. They have a huge seating capacity. Recently I visited this outlet with my friends and tried the following items: We started with their Independence Day special Mocktail called Tiranga Mocktail, this three layered mocktail was very refreshing. For starters we ordered seasonal special Tiranga Kebab (Non Veg) and Azadi Kebab Platter (Chicken). The Tiranga Kebab was loaded with Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Chicken Tikka Kebab and Murgh Hariyali Kebab. I absolutely loved the Hariyali Kebab it was heavenly delicious. The succulent pieces of Chicken Reshmi Kebab just melted in mouth. The Azadi Kebab Platter was loaded with Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tangdi Kebab and Murgh Reshmi Kebab. The Chicken Tandoori was grilled to perfection and tasted heavenly with the mint chutney they served. The Chicken Tangdi Kebab was equally good in taste For main course we had Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani and Lahori Chicken. Their Mutton Biryani is my all time favourite. The rice was perfectly aromatic, the mutton was very tender and the aloo just melted in mouth tasted amazing with Lahori Chicken. This side dish was full of flavours. We ended this amazing gastronomic experience with Aminia's signature dessert Phirni. This Phirni is highly Recommended. Overall I had a great experience. Loved the food, the ambience was great even the service was really good. All the staffs were very courteous. Do drop here if you want to try the best biryani, mughlai and North Indian dishes in Behala.

A few days back I was at this place with my friends to try their biriyani.I really love the Mutton Biriyani along with other food items like Mutton Handi ,Kababs and Phirni. The staff were all well behaved and cooperative. Hope to have a further visit soon.

Aminia is a great place for dining out. Although the price is a bit too high but the food quality is outstanding and the waiters behave very well too. Will always prefer this place for dining. Worth every rupee.

Recently visited Aminia Behala outlet. And as usual I'm satisfied with all the items we had. Ordered chicken and mutton Biryani, mutton handi, naan, malai and reshmi kebabs, phirni at the end. Just go and have your own experience!

The cost is kind of more expensive than what we think to be honest the biriyani is not that satisfactory as expected because it's a brand and if the brand dish are not upto the mark it has no value, but again I'll say that everyone has a different tastes and preferences what I might like you don't but if you ask me or reading my review please rather putting this so much for amount here visiti some other restaurants you'll be amazed and love the food

I have been ordering from Aminia Behala since many years. Their Chicken and Mutton Biriyani is splendidly fingerlicking. Though the quantity is a bit less but the taste of their biriyani will recover that. By far the best biriyani in Kolkata according to me. I have tried biriyanis from many restaurants but Aminia Behala exceeds them all in quality and taste. Mind it, I am talking about the behala branch not the others. I have tried other branches too but Behala branch is the best. Their mutton in the biriyani is so soft and tender, its inexplicable. I would suggest everyone to order from the behala branch if possible.

Last saturday I went there in the Behala outlet. It was not that crowded other than some zomato guys waiting outside. Sanitization protocols are being followed. The ambience is so so. not that good. We were two people and order a half plate chicken tandoori..which was nothing but some fried chickens. Total waste of money. Another disaster was the chicken reshmi kebab. No taste. The chicken pieces were not well cooked. The starters were very poor in taste.Didn't expect this from Aminia. Then we ordered 1 butter nan and chicken tikka butter masala. The staff took a note and when the order came it was 2 nans. They are so inefficient that can't take order properly. We took one firni also which was so so in taste. I don't recommend anyone to have kebabs at aminia. Biryani I dont know but the nan was fine. I liked the nan only.

The restaurant which comes in our mind when we plan a dinner with Biryani is of course "Aminia". It is one of the best restaurants for biryani lovers and non vegetarian eaters. The Aminia restaurant in behala is in a perfect place where we can reach very easily and can grab good spiced dishes at pocket friendly price. They keep food quality good always. Overall a hygenic place for all.

Tandoori chicken butter masala was worst no taste ,I have ordered 2 nan & 2 tandoori roti ,roti was missing ,plz check the order before receive the food & also I have received the food after 1 hour but they have written 30 minutes, I don't recommend to all food lovers<br/>

The ambience was really pretty. The taste of the rezala was too bland. The gravy was not that good. The sheek kebab was good but the price was too high.

Have always liked Aminia food earlier...But last time when we ordered chicken egg rolls from this restaurant on 29th August 2020, we were so very dissapointed with the taste and quality .I must say they have deteriorated very much in terms of food quality.The chicken pieces were hard and tasteless while the rolls were only filled with onion and tomato ketchup instead of egg and chicken pieces....Rolls were tasteless and badly wrapped.....not worth the price at all....

Aminia Behala is not a very old restaurant as I remember this place opening up sometime back. But they have really maintained consistency in every item in their menu. Awesome biryani, kebabs and rolls. Even during lockdown, they have maintained their quality of food when the menu was limited. Prices are neither cheap,<br/> nor expensive. But the food will not disappoint. One more thing is they are right on the side of DH Road but you don't have to worry about parking, big relief.

This was first restaurant where we dined post covid19 pandemic changed the scenario...<br/>On entering our temp was checked and there was sanitizer to sanitize hands...<br/>On entering inside the restaurant found it was empty, in spite of being a festive day...<br/>Coming to food...we ordered mutton special biriyani and handi chicken...<br/>The quality was good...and portion per plate was quite enough to feed 2 people...<br/>To end it all we had phirni for dessert...which was yummy 😋...

"Aminia" is a very famous and popular for its Mughlai and North Indian cuisine. I had visited their Behala branch which is located at Behala pathakpara just opposite of the showroom of Prapti and Chikitsha Diagnosis Center. <br/>• Ambience of this place is very nice with beautiful interior decorations. Speacialy their's design of upstairs is really good. <br/>• This outlet is spacious and they have seating arrangement of more or less 30 people at once.<br/>• I had tried their Special Mutton Biriyani with Lahori Chicken. The taste of Mutton Biriyani was just amazing. It had 2 pieces of mutton with aloo and egg.Mutton pieces were so large and soft and also infused with spices.<br/>• Lahori Chicken was superb in taste.It was so flavourful.Chicken was tender and flavourful. The garnishing of all the dishes was so nice.<br/>• Quantity and quality of each item was enough and upto the mark. Service is fast and staffs are courteous and helped us to choose the right item. Prices are appropriate according to the quality and quantity of food.

Never had such awlful dinner ever. Both items are only filled with oils with few meat pieces. Dont have any taste . Also the quantity is very less. Nevermind didn't eat it. Throw it away. I paid nearly 700 for these disgusting items. This restaurant is pathetic and doesn't think about customer. Kindly delist it from zomato. They pathetic scums nothing else. Robing customer in broad day light.

Roll is one of the most popular Bengali street food which is widely available and can be found in any of the street side eateries in Kolkata beside established restaurant brand like Aminia!. I was supposed to went for Biryani primarily. It was hard to ignore the inviting nature of Biryani places likes Aminia. But, I chose to eat something on the go because of the time constraint. My uber was only a few meters away.

Just love the way they decorated the entire place with beautiful decors and lovely lights.<br/>Coming back to the food, I just cant get over the aromatic biryani that can make anyone go crazy. Now I don’t get the same feel when I visited there Behala outlet.<br/><br/>My order was basically take away ( eat on the go). I ordered Paneer roll and Phirni.<br/><br/>Paneer roll was decent and costed around 60. On the other hand phirni was disappointing. From cost perspective aminia is at par with the recent cafe’s but from taste front its lagging behind.<br/><br/>Note: I am vegetarian so no comment on non vegetarian menu.

I visited Aminia on 1st March for celebrating my mother's birthday. Aminia has been close to me and my family's heart since many years. My dad was a frequent visitor of Aminia in New Market when he was in college and has fond memories associated with this place. In our most recent visit, we tried the Aminia Special Mutton Curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutton Galawati Kebab, Naan and Firni. The kebabs were melt in the mouth and extremely flavourful. The best part about the biryani was that it wasn't too oily. The firni had the right amount of sweetness. All in all, it was a good experience. A special mention to the decent interiors of the behala outlet of Aminia.

Few days back I visited this place with my friends. It is located at Behala, 3 mins walking distance from Taratala petrol pump.<br/>Firstly I would love to talk about the ambience. It is a spread over a vast area and has a sitting capacity of approximately 50 people.<br/>It is well decorated with cosy lights and music was playing in the background .<br/>Now let's talk about the food.<br/>We tried<br/>Fresh lime soda which was quite refreshing.<br/>And in starters we had<br/>Chicken Tikka masala and Chicken Reshmi kebab.<br/>Both the kebab dishes was really soft and well flavoured.<br/>In main course we tried<br/>Mutton Biriyani<br/>Chicken Biriyani<br/>Mutton tawa Masala<br/>It was the best I had in recent times.<br/>In desserts we tried<br/>Mihidana with Rabdi<br/>This was unique and is a must try dish.<br/>All the dishes taste equally good.<br/>Quantity and quality was really satisfying.<br/>Staffs was cordial too.<br/>Will surely visit this place again and will suggest this place to everyone.

It should be Kolkatas burnt biriyani. I have ordered 1 Mutton Biriyani. As I put one spoon full of biriyani in my mouth burnt smell adviced me to throw the biriyani. Packaging , delivery all was OK except the biriyani.

This outlet is situated at pathakpara just beside Ajanta Cinema Hall. The interiors are gorgeous and overall the restaurant has a classy ambience. Over all good experience, food quality and hospitality is good enough. But the over all process was a bit slow, the resturaunt was almost empty but they took more 20minutes to serve the food after ordering.

One of the most oldest and finest restaurant situated in the different different locations along with the various outlets in Kolkata and none other the name is aminia...!! I visited over here in this branch 4 to 5 month's back..,, with one of my family friend and with their family too..!!! Everyone has the little idea about aminia ,,..!! They serve the North Indian,, mughlai ,, rolls and kebab items..,, and they are also specialised in biriyani items which is very tasty to have..!!! In this location the ambience is very nice Along with the beautiful interior design and works in the roof and in the Wall..!!! Staffs are also courteous and very much helpful to choice the food among in the full menu item..!!! I tried over there mutton biriyani and chicken champ Along with the kebab...!!! All the foods were very tasty to have..,,and nice to..!!! Price are also very much reasonable and within the budget too..,, overall cost for two people is just rs 700/- ..!!<br/>So all the people out there please visit this place once have some beautiful dishe's for yourself and your family too,,as I mentioned you can visit here along with your family and friends too .,,and have a good experience ahead..!!!

Ordered one plate of Mutton Biriyani, the large one and one Aminia special mutton curry. The biriyani was wholesome and tastes good. The mutton piece was big and juicy. But the Aminia Special Mutton Curry tasted just like spices were mixed in water and no flavors were added. There were two mutton pieces along with that which was good. But the gravy tasted like water.<br/>Coming to the phirni, it wasa okayish type. Tho I believe they can improve it.
