To me the best at Sadar street for Foods and friendliness. They have different varieties (i.e.,Plain rice, polaw, Biriyani, Soup, Kebab, Pizza, Pasta etc.etc.).....though they are famous for kebab however we have tried different items which all were good. I highly recommend it. Their sitting arrangement not big therefore you may not get chance at rush time.

This place is in the sudder street, beside bhoj company. More or less Okay for budget fooding. the ambiance has nothing to say. Small, narrow place for 15/16 heads. They dont have card swipes. Food is good in taste. Service may also improve.. cost needs to be reduced as per standard, as there are much better facilities in the area with same costs.

This is like a very small restaurant in freeschool st. area. I am going there, not much often, from my childhood. They do offer you decent food in a cheap rate.

Must haves:
● Chicken sandwich
● Fish fry (delicious!)
● Kebabs
● Fried rice

This is best tax free restaurant which provides mouth full delicious food and the service is also upto mark and the ambient is the perfect for anyone. I just love the place and the food. This is my favorite restaurant in Kolkata and the plus point of the restaurant is it is located in Esplanade. So best shopping accompanied with best food. The perfect match ❤

A small restaurant located just beside the bhoj company with limited number of seats.. I went there few days back for lunch with a friend.. ordered American chicken chopsuey and chicken hakka noodles.. The noodles was like okay but the chopsuey it was a blander just tomato ketchup all over and no other taste.. they doesn't know how to make it.. but the noodle was decent..

Very poor service. They don't even know whether their delivery men's are available or not to go to the desired customer's place. It's been written that home delivery is available but on calling they r telling to order a minimum amount of rs 5000 to rs 6000. Are the guy's mad? U mean who order's food of 5k to 6k? Hahaha lol. If u wanna make fun of yours then only call or go here. Otherwise don't even go to drop your shit in this place.

Substandard food, pathetically slow service with worthless service staffs having zero sense of hospitality. So don't judge the book by its cover. Better help someone poor with some money than to waste it here.

Located at sudder st beside bhoj company and super pub the joint seems to be lifeless.
The only great thing is the Fried chicken which if ordered through the pub costs Rs 150/-otherwise 135/- for two pieces.
The sitting ambience inside looks shady..so my suggestion grab a drink inside the pub and order from the restaurant as the menu is the same!!!

Located near fabulous joints like the Blue Sky Cafe and Raj Spanish Cafe, Super Fried Chicken Restaurant was always going to have a hard time pulling in customers. However, when we went in, they seemed to be doing alright.

The place is extremely small -- won't seat more than 20 people -- your average restaurant trying to make it big in the culinary industry. They offer Chinese and Indian food, but Chinese was all they had when I sat down. This was disappointing, and the fact that they took a while before they served our order didn't help their case.

The service was ordinary and their food was pretty average. The chow reminded me of the kind you'll stumble upon every now and then, and the side (Chicken Dragon) wasn't good. Their chinese does fall short of the mark, and fails to impress the plebian Kolkata culinary crowd.

Average food. Average experience.

Thanks for reading and pardon me for any grammatical errors I may have made.

The Chinese, Indian & continental food here is something which one shouldn't miss.. It's simply my favourite.. My favourite dishes are Dragon chicken, Chicken fried rice & not to miss the Chicken Burger.. The chicken burger is very delicious & filling.. Most importantly the food is very reasonable & the quality is also very good...Quality of Chicken & Fish is very good..Great food & reasonably priced..

Unprofessional behavior on the part of the staff/management and the owner prompted me to write this review. Never have I rated any food joint below 2, no matter how disappointing it may be after all, but this rating and this review is for those who think that they should receive the value for the money they spend on food , service and PROPER behavior from the staff not only because we pay our hard earned money but also expect mere courtesy.

It was 31st afternoon last year. With two of my gal pal, I was walking down the New Market lane soaking up the sun on a winter morning and engaging in happy conversation with both of them. As all of us can imagine, 31st is the day we forget about our past disasters, drink to that and promise to make better decisions and a better life. With that kind of a happy hippie mindset, we started to look for a pub. Inevitably, Fairlawn came to our mind but on the suggestion of another friend from college, we decided to give this one a try. And, it was a mistake!Upon entering, we were greeted by a staff who told us where to sit, which belonged to a shabby side of the pub. Since we desired to get our pictures clicked while enjoying ourselves, we insisted on a table on the other side of the pub. Very promptly we were denied of that particular table, which confuses me even now, as to why we cannot select where we want to sit. We were the only ones to enter at that time but as time passed, people started pouring in, then the sitting issue was not a big deal for them. Only we were denied of our choice. That was the first bad behavior on their part.

We ordered three beers, one chicken macaroni and one spaghetti chicken. As soon as our food arrived, we noticed that our spaghetti chicken was misplaced by some other food item on the menu. We brought that to the staff's attention but much to our surprise, he blamed it on us that we might have confused it. We decided not to dabble on that and waste time as we were hungry and we would satisfy our hunger with whatever they have served us. And, the price difference of 20 bucks (the item brought to our table by mistake costed more) did not matter. But, then again, it was their second mistake.

But the time our bill arrived, we noticed that for every item that we ordered, be it the beers or food, we were charged more, atleast 100 bucks more. We immediately called the staff and he said it was their 'special menu' for the 31st, so they revised their prices. Now, we were not informed about this revision of prices before ordering. We ordered from their previous menu card. This was totally unacceptable and unapologetic. We said we would not accept this bill and pay with the original prices. The staff went back to the owner and made us wait 20 minutes before making the necessary changes. Their third mistake.

And, we, being three girls drinking beer unapologetically, did manage to grab eyeballs from nearby tables, so I cannot even say that their ambiance was nice, given such a thing is very hard to find in a place like Sudder street filled with people from other countries.

That was my first and last visit here. And, I find absolutely zero reasons of going back.

My first visit to Super Fried Chicken was yesterday around 9pm. I chose to enter the bar as i was tired, craving for food and a bottle of beer. Initially the inside was calm with a few Bangladeshi tourists sitting inside, until a few locals came. The bar was dimly lit which perfectly suited my needs. But I was disappointed by the attitude of the waiters. First, they wouldn't let me sit in my desired place; second, if you ask them how much time your ordered food will take, their answer would be like - " it will be served as soon as it is ready"; third, they are reluctant to serve complementary "chanachur"; fourth and most important is their sloppy/careless and unsystematic attitude. They are so unwilling to work that some of them will appear to be walking like zombies as if walking is also a big load to them. They will only smile at you when you ask for the bill as they know that they are going to get tips.

Note: The place may expect sudden crowds of local rowdy boys who get drunk and abuse god knows whose mothers and fathers. Please keep your mobile inside your pocket when they enter as they make up stories that their friends mobile got stolen from this bar. Who knows, they may claim yours as their fathers have big names.

I ordered chicken-egg burger and was disappointed as the bread was literally like leather. The chicken burger patty was good but the egg tasted quite stale and cold which I think, contributed to my bad tummy next day in the morning. I only had to keep myself content with the chilled Budweiser Magnum and a proper Pilsner glass.

The gateman outside the bar is a nice person to talk to. He occasionally sings bengali rabindra sangeets which will soothe you from the local caricatures inside and have a peaceful smoke.

I will definitely give a second visit to this place with a hope of getting good food served better as they really have good Menu.

Calling our visit to the place a disaster would be flattering. We happened to be on Sudder Street after a long day and with Blue Sky Cafe (our favoured destination) being closed, we were forced to make do with Super Fried Chicken. Despite having eaten nothing all day we were unable to appreciate the bland and peculiar food. For clarity I will dissect every element of the place.

Service: While we had one waiter who took our order and was reasonable, that is something one expects. Now there was this waiter representative of the aura of incompetence and snobbishness smeared all over this eatery. Waiters refused to serve us water despite ordering and we had to repeatedly ask for it. All of them somehow believed it was their DUTY to sit and watch Honey Singh on TV rather than serve us paying customers. The owner/manager just sat there doing the same. We had to literally shout out for the most basic things and they would resort to ignoring us despite there being only 2 tables used. So suffice to say the worst service we've ever encountered.

Food: Now if the service was atrocious so was the food. We ordered a Half Tandoori Chicken, a couple of club sandwiches and A Burger.

The Tandoori Chicken was so poorly made and marinated that we sat there pitying the poor animal which found its way on this bland and inedible dish. The Chicken Burger had a patty which looking like a chicken bhajji (pakoda). But appearances are misleading and there didnt seem to be chicken in it. Now the worst of all were the club sandwiches. The bread (grilled) was as bland as possible and seemed to have been grilled a long time ago. The vegetables in the burger and sandwiches looked stale and unhealthy and the cheapest available, possibly being stored for months. Suffice to say the food was atrocious.

Now coming to the positives. There really aren't any.

We don't have any grudge against the place. Their window openly invites patrons to rate them on Zomato. And well... Suffice to say having lived in Kolkata for the last 4 years, I have never had such an unprofessional, bland and crude place. The waiters were rude and even tried to shout at us for asking for water. The food was a disaster.

You may think it could be a one-off. But I know for certainty I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat at this random eatery.

Each and every walk of mine down Sudder Street has been enchanting in its own way. Yet, the charm of this cosmopolitan heart of our city climaxed when we three women were out on the bold by-lanes, cherishing our girly fun moments after nightfall. The streets were embellished in vibrant hues, covered in the residual spirit of the previous night's occasion (Diwali) and were dotted with the usual neon lighted hotels, restaurants and shops selling Bohemian clothing and occupied with a lot of happy looking people (including us!).

My companions being from different cities had no clue about any pub, so I just led them to the place that first popped into my head and that was Super Fried Chicken. The place is divided into a small restaurant and a medium sized pub. I found the pub to be pretty dark as it almost had no lighting in the seating area. The place was quite simple with clean tables, floor, washroom and a TV on a corner top (they would play any channel you ask them to).

Each of us ordered for a large bottle of Tuborg and Kingfisher along with peanuts and chicken lollipops. The beer (mild one) was extremely reasonably priced at 130 rupees per bottle which was the best thing about that place. Then again, we were quite surprised by the taste and quality of the chicken lollipops. There were 4 drumsticks per plate with a fair amount of freshly chopped salad. Those drumsticks were freshly fried, tasty and quite a steal at only 80 rupees a plate!

The servers were friendly and their service prompt. Ambiance and crowd was decent. The bill was pocket friendly and we all were happy high. So we had pretty much nailed what we were aiming for! :P We ended our small party by ambling down the streets, checking a book shop here and a clothes shop there.

P.S: There might be many places with more frills than this one, but it had its own effortless ways of impressing us for those two hours (offering relatively cheaper beer being the main one).
