Hola has a wonderful ambience with excellent variety of food and a very courteous staff .The mocktails are really having a twist in the tail!!

Thick dark chocolate slices with nuts served with light chocolate mousse. This Hola speciality dessert tasted incredible.
We enjoyed all those dishes with pints of Carlsburg.
This place is small yet nice. But I won't recommend this place for big groups as their food portion is very small, so you'll either end up ordering 15-20 items and with a bill of 10k+ or you'll not enjoy at all. Fine for couple visit.
Pasta and risotto was delicious. Except that they asked pasta choice which was spaghetti or penne and we chose penne but they still presented spaghetti without informing ( Even if Carbonara is to be served with spaghetti then why isn't the server aware of it and asked for choice anyway? )
LIIT was as great as how the Sangria was bad.
The prices were great when we availed dineout gourmet passport but otherwise for the portion, the price is a bit too much.
Also, the light just above our table was either never turned on or it wasn't working. Hence, when we tried to take pictures with our phone, due to the lighting it came our poor.

What steps are they taking to maintain safe standard?
Besides regular body temperature checks and disclosures of cough and cold symptoms from guests, Hola Kolkata is taking a step forward to ensure a safe dining experience which is absolutely . It is also providing a disposable gloves to you incase you want to serve for your table. The food came in a rotating and moving tray, thereby minimizing any contacts with any other working personnel in the restaurant. The next seats ready to be occupied was more than a considerable distance apart. They are providing a disposable menu which you can waive off once you are done. They have these mist sanistisers which are absolutely handy and available.
What did we gorge on?
Sansei Stir Fry broccoli - The presence of Szechuan chillies, cashews and onions made this broccoli stir fry a hit. The crisp broccoli with tang made it all the way more enjoyable.
Chicken Teriyaki Bao - This fabulous Teriyaki Chicken sandwich filling is perfectly freshly steamed Chinese Buns made with lotus root flour and I was indeed smitten and floored by the whole flavour profile. The mild sprinkling of the sesame seeds makes it crisp yet supple.
Dry Roasted Chilli Pork - I don't speak much when Roasted Chilli Pork is around. I just prefer to eat. The perfect pork slices with the bellu, and the dark soy and vinegar is indeed a deadly combo!
Chicken in Kam Heong Sauce with Burnt Garlic Mixed Rice - The Stir- Fried Chicken with chinese garlic sauce has its confluence from Malaysia and India. This perfectly teamed with the texture of the Burnt Garlic Mixed Fried rice having that smoky aroma and that was cut down but the fragrance of the Kam Jeong Sauce.
Porcini Mushroom Risotto with Truffle Oil - Truffle mushroom risotto starring porcini mushrooms ticks all the boxes. Easy to rejoice with affordable, gourmet ingredients like dried porcini & truffle oil is to absolutely die for. The combination of Porcini Mushroom, Shitake Mushroom and Button Mushroom was simply marvellous.
So, if you deciding to dine in the new normal with all the safety precautions, Hola is the ultimate safe haven for foodies as you.

Today, I have been to this place, after lockdown, so thought of giving a review for this place.
Located beside Tolly Tales I think it's a bit under rated. This should not be the case.
I hope many of you know this place. So I went with one of Kolkata's known food blogger. We went their as it was recommended to us by other friends.
We had few of the suggested (most talked about) dishes like Chicken Teriyaki Bao, Crispy Thai Chicken Takrai and Chocolate Salami and Chocolate Mousse.
The Bao was made out of lotus root flour and has small but chunky chicken pieces. But I found Bao to be a bit thick. So I will score it 3.0 out of 5.0.
Thai Chicken Takrai was good, crispy inside, portion was good, made with lemon grass. It tasted good, but probably they fried it a bit longer today, so the chicken was lesser juicier. But the sauce was really yum. So I'll score it 3.5/5.0.
Now comes the stellar. First thing first, I am an avid chocolate lover. It's very difficult to impress me when it comes to chocolates. But this chocolate salami and mousse won my heart. It was yummy. The mild sweetness of the salami was perfect, on top of that they had nuts in it. The mousse was smooth, silky and perfectly airy. So it just blew me, in contrast to the bitter sweet taste of the salami, the mousse had ample amount of sweetness. It was a well balanced dessert. I was quite impressed. I will score it 4.5/5.0.
So I will suggest you guys to at least go and have chocolate salami with chocolate mousse there, at least once.
P.S, this review is solely based on my experience and my taste, your's might differ.

A memorable tryst with mouthwatering and delicious food @ HOLA.!
Building up a safe dining place is rather a challenge these days, and it is tough trying to convince people that they can try moving out and have a date night one or two, or even try breaking the shackles of monotony which have grasped us in the past few months with having a carefully prepared meal, anywhere outside the periphery of their home. It was a risk, many aren’t going to take, but what is on the plus point, is that the safety measures taken by any restaurant is well past and beyond the level of precautions we would be probably taking in our home and residences.
Talk about using sanitization machines, like the ones with the fog spray, the regular temperature checks, wearing the face shields and disposable gloves; it would take us a lot out of us to consistently repeat this schedule and more to that of monitoring ourselves not slipping down every now and then. This is why I was impressed seeing what HOLA was doing, with all the temperature checks and the sanitation processes, not to mention of providing a disposable glove to you incase you were picky enough to serve food all by yourself.
The food came in a rotating and moving tray, thereby minimizing any contacts with any other working personnel in the restaurant. The next seats ready to be occupied was more than a considerable distance apart, but all these drumrolls of panic and maintaining safety, did not affect the quality of the food, something HOLA has been popular of ever since its inception. The Sensei Stir Fry Broccoli was a lipsmacker, perhaps what a refined version of Gobi Manchurian may taste like, if you would be having it in an upscaled restaurant.
The presence of Szechuan chillies, cashews and caramelized onions gave the dish its texture and substance, while the meticulous sprinkling of the sliced spring onions infused the freshness within the dish. The broccoli was crisp, and the sauce sweet and tangy, not overshadowing the vegetable it was accompanying here. The Dry Roasted Chilli Pork could have been a wonderful supplement to the quintessential Cantonese Noodles, but was rather devoured by us as a starter. The perfect ratio of meat to fat, and the generous use of the dark soy and vinegar was absolute spot-on!
The Chicken Teriyaki Bao tasted as good as I had it more than a year back. Perhaps the use of the Lotus Root Flour makes the bao such fresh and full of flavours, while the sweet and tangy Teriyaki sauce, encompassing the flavourful bits of chicken, along with a mild sprinkling of the sesame seeds makes you crave for more bites, as you dig in your way through the Bao. For mains, the Risotto served here was one of the best I have had. Technically, I am not a big fan of Risotto, not unless it is served in the quintessential Bengali way of what we call as a Khichuri.
The combination of Porcini Mushroom, Shitake Mushroom and Button Mushroom was an absolute winner, and while the rice was wonderfully done, it was the presence of the Truffle Oil and the generous amount of cheese which made the dish taste so wonderful. The Chicken in Kam Heong Sauce on the other hand, was equally good, with its Cantonese, Malay and Indian Roots imparting the golden and fragrant flavour and texture to the dish, pairing just right with the Burnt Garlic Mixed Fried Rice. An absolute winner combination, I can barely wait until I drop again in the coming weeks.

The place that comes to our Mind when We talk about food and if the place is South Kolkata then I can assure 90% foodies will take the name of SOUTHERN AVENEU.
Southern Avenue gives us plenty of cafes, cool pubs as well as family restaurants all together. Few months We visited Hola. It’s a pub basically that serves Chinese Italian north Indian and continental foods.
It is situated on Dr. Sarat Banerjee Road, Southern Avenue, Kolkata. It will take 10 mints from lake mall or Kalighat metro station.
Now let’s talk about its ambiance which is absolutely fab.The whole decor will give you so many places to click a perfect dp for your social medias. It has wooden structures all over the restaurants and also its decorated with nichrome bulbs that looks so soothing. They have a bar unit which is well decorated. A large seating capacity of more than 40 people.
Now come to the main part that is food. Yeah! so We ordered:

Among all these Cottage Cheese Strips in Black Bean Salsa is a must try Item. It's a panner dish which is too fabulous in taste. The large panner cube was mixed with spices & salt them coated with cheese strips. All paneer lovers are going to like it.
The chicken tikka risotto and the chicken sizzler was also mouth watering.
The toffee banana was kind of darshan Ice cream which was also yummy.
So If you are looking for a pub to hang out with your friends or colleagues after a hectic day or if you want to chill and see some sports live then Hola can be your Perfect destination.

Mixed sauce risotto : it was pretty average.
Silken chocolate mousse: the texture was fine and smooth and melt in the mouth. A great choice for dessert considering the taste and quantity!
Drinks: kinfisher beer, hola special watermelon
Ambience: pretty cool, the place is done up tastefully with instagrammable spots.
The problem was the sitting area as leg space was not enough.
Staff: courteous and helpful.
All in all a good experience.

Visited this place on a weekday. It is located near Rabindra Sarobar Stadium. It’s a nice place to visit with your friends or partner. The environment is quiet cosy. Overall the ambience was good. Service was very good. We ordered kamheong fried rice, flat noodle with chicken in black pepper sauce, burnt garlic mixed fried rice and hot garlic chicken. In deserts we ordered almond tart with vanilla ice cream and silken chocolate mousse. Loved the kamheong fried rice and hot garlic chicken. The other dishes were nice. Tiramisu was not available. Overall, it was a nice experience
Last saturday visit HOLA, nice ambiance good food quality tasty food but little bit expensive. Spacious, service was prompt. We did not find any live music. Afterall nice plan for adda.
Hola is a beautiful place located at Southern Avenue, the interiors are nice this is a photogenic place as it is nicely lighted . But this place is a bit high on budget. The staffs are courteous and friendly. They even have live music so that’s really good . You can sit back n enjoy the live music along with Shisha and Drinks.
They have a separate zone for hookah, so that’s pretty good. The food is tasty and they serve good food.

I heard about it from my friends and thought of giving it a visit. So on one Sunday afternoon I along with my friend came here. We ordered roasted chilly pork and chicken steak. The decor is very pretty with a hanging cycle on the wall and a number of bottles in a corner. Coming to food, the pork could have been softer but the overall preparation of it with capsicum and onion was worthy of trying. Steak was very good and was served with tangy bbq sauce. Chicken was perfectly cooked served with smashed potato, capsicum, bell pepper, broccoli and carrot.
Good place to hangout with friends. Polite staff. Food is a bit expensive but it's worth paying for. Atleast the ones we ordered were really amazing and we didn't regret ordering them. They even got us pinacolda which was not there in their menu, it was really good.
Everything was just perfect
We ordered Non Veg Creamy Penne pesto pasta and Non veg Mixed Risotto. Both of them are Highly recommended and the Managements is very polite

Sadly we went on Republic day and hence it was a dry day so Drinks weren't offered. The food was good and the staffs were courteous. Loved the ambiance as well with great songs being played. Loved the chicken tikka bao and Pork Ribs. Hopefully would visit it again to try some drinks.
Hola: A Continental Food Journey
It is one of the finest place where you will get some really fine continental dishes. It is located in Sarat Bose Road, beside Tolly Tales. The ambience here is wonderful which have both the feeling of lounge in one side and other portion is family dining. They have a bar unit which is well decorated. The full interior is based on wooden texture with vintage style bulbs hanging.

Went here with my friend and ordered Tangra chicken (starter), cheese garlic bread, murgh desi platter and gosht platter along with some drinks. 1. CHICKEN TIKKA RISOTTO- Risotto is a traditional Italian dish made from short grained starchy variety of rice, called Arborio rice. .This dish from Hola Kolkata was made with some chicken tikka pieces and served with garlic bread. The balance of the spices and the taste of this dish would make you fall in love with it! It was perfectly spicy, with a perfect balance of flavours, just the way I love it!
2. SPICY PORK RAMEN NOODLES- I wanted to try out Ramen and finally my wish came true! Ramen is a Japanese dish consisting of Chinese pulled noodles consisting of a meat or fish broth, flavoured with soy sauce and contains toppings mostly of Pork. Here the Ramen was garnished with a half piece of half boiled egg(which I love) and was served with pork dices.
🍧DESSERT:
TOFFEE BANANA- This was a very unique form of desserts in which small banana pancakes were tossed in toffee syrup and served with ice cream in a cup.
🍸COCKTAIL-
MULE FROM EGYPT- This is a cocktail made with Vodka, Lemongrass, Coriander and Ginger Ale and was served with a mountain of ice! This looked really pretty and refreshing!

They are out with a new menu on their 2nd anniversary and are offering 50% off on either food and drinks on 21st and 22nd December from 12 pm to 5om.
Coming to the food, we tried out the Thai Green Curry Rice with Lotus Stem. This was a very different dish which I tasted. The lotus stem in this dish was stir fried and starchy. It added a zing to the dish. The Thai Green Curry had the coconut flavor to it.
Grilled Tokyo Pork in Peanut Sauce- The pork served by them was very tender. It was perfectly grilled. Apart from the presentation of this dish, the dish itself was very appealing. The Peanut sauce in it made all the difference as it had the roasted peanut and soy sauce, garlic taste.
Chicken Tikka Rissoto - The fusion dish which had the Tikka flavor in the Rissoto. The chef is a genius with this dish. A must try for all.
In the dessert don't forget to try out the Toffee Banana. Overall I loved the whole experience of Hola. Am definitely going back again.

For the starters we tried Beetroot galouti kabab. Its a fusion of the health and taste. We usually get gosht galouti kabab in market, but this one is exceptional. Very tasty and exceptionally good in taste.

The Thai green curry was outstanding with mouthwatering lotus stems. It will satisfy your tastebuds and will make you crave for more, for sure.
The chicken tikka risotto is the amalgamation of Italian and Indian Cuisines. Chicken tikka with a mouthwatering risotto. Its a must try.
For dessert we tried Toffee Banana.
Deep fried banana vada served with ice cream. This hot and cold combination gave us a soothing aftertaste and a greater meal ending experience.
We had two drinks during this meal... I am higly recommending these two.

🍲Chicken tikka risotto- I'm bit skeptical when it comes to risotto as my past experience waa not that great. But surprisingly i loved it. It was served with chicken tikka & garlic bread.
🍛Kolkata classic chicken sizzler- Usually it is served with rice or mashed potato. But they totally skipped it. Instead they presented it with big breast piece of chicken with veggies. Totally recommend it.
🍸Strawberry gin smash
🥡Toffee banana- This is kind of darshan ice cream. They have added banana smothie with fried darshan & vanilla flavour.

Spicy pork Ramen noodles was my favourite too....a dish with lot of pork pieces with a sliced half boiled egg....it was hot and tasty...
Coming to their mouthwatering dessert ....Toffee banana was the perfect fusion of banana fried with vanilla ice cream....made me remember my mother's winter sweet dish...malpoa...but in a smaller form....
Amazing experience both in terms of their quality and quantity....staff was very friendly and helpful....

Ambience is wonderful which have both the feeling of lounge in one side & other potion family dinning. They have a bar unit which is well decorated. A large seating capacity of more than 40 people. The full interior is based on wooden texture with vintage style bulbs hanging.
In food & Drinks I have -
1. Beetroot Galouti Kebab :
We have a perception that beetroot means sweet but this kebab will change your perception. It's a spicy kebeb served with coriander spicy chutney. The beetroot smashed then mixed with spices after that it's been given a round texture with a half cashew on the top.
2. Kolkata Classic Chicken Sizzler :
Chicken sizzler uses a marinated, crispy, and tender chicken breast served with stir-fried vegetables and rice on a hot plate. The sizzler has one thing which we usually find is potato. They serve 2 chicken breast but no rice or noodles are given in sizzler.
3. Chicken Tikka Risotto :
This one is an Indian & Italian fusion. The risotto was great in taste with a chicken tikka on the top. A slice of garlic bread which when dipped with the creamy cheese sauce in which risotto prepared you will like it more.
4. Toffee Banana :
It's a dessert for which you will curve but a little of it will satisfy your taste buds. It's a banana based dessert. The banana was smoothly smashed then mixed with sugar, maida, corn flour to get a creamy texture. Then it's fried in oil after which it's dipped in sugar syrup. It's served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
5. Strawberry Gin Smash (Recommended)
A great experience of visiting this place. Price of food & drinks is on the higher side but quality of food is top notch.
Hola is also offering Happy Hour from 12 PM. TO 6 P.M. Monday to Thursday where drinks start @Rs99 only.

This is the most beautiful pub and bar Along with the magnificent view inside ,, and it's situated at southern Avenue...!! One of the most happening place in the city...,, Along with the courteous staffs and the foods are also awesome to have..!! Price are also pocket friendly to have,,we ordered over there crispy chilli babycorn ,, double apple flavoured hookah and two Budweiser beer....!!! Overall costing for two people is just rs 1000/-...!!! So all the people out there please visit this place once and have some good experiences ahead...!!!
The ambience is very good but before that there should be praises for the food quality. There are varieties of unknown items. The food taste is awesome and the service is good. People must try eating at this place.

I visited the place twice and both of the time I went for the hookah. The place is nice separated for hookah lovers and non hookah people. Have a nice ambience. The food quality and taste are really good. And most importantly I just love the hookah. Kudos 🙌 to the person who makes it. Will visit again for sure.
Visited during Diwali...... Food was OUTSTANDING!!! Ambience was nice and service was very fast.

1) Devil's on Horseback which is Bacon and Cheese wrapped Pork Sausage. It was extraordinary outstanding, superb..... Jst fall in love with it..... It's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
2) Dry roasted Chilli Pork tossed in oyster sauce. It was also amazing. Tasted very nice. It's also recommended.

Located just beside tolly tales. I loved the ambiance tbh. Visited this place during durga pujo. They had some sort of special menu called set menu. We've opted for that only. In which they were offering,

It was Nabami night. Every restaurant was as expected over crowded and waiting time was too long. I was eyeing to visit HOLA for sometime as I got really good review from a friend. So on Nabami night thought of giving it a try. One of the main reasons to visit HOLA was, their pujo menu had pork items in it. We had to wait for 30 - 40 min which is okay during pujo. Food we ordered : paprika chicken tikka, dry roasted chilli pork, wasabi prawn in starter. In main it was mixed hakka noodles and a prawn side dish. Food was not bad, chilli pork was best one. Didn't like much wasabi prawn & noodle, something was missing in both items. Service was quite here & there bcz of the rush. Ambience was good. Won't write much on basis of pujo visit. This pub is very nearby my home so will go there again as their menu has some interesting pork items and write a detail review.
Very good place, good ambience, good food and courteous staff
Located at southern avenue just opposite of the wall restaurant. Went there with my childhood friend on Durga puja saptami for a lunch. We planned to have a booze party there. And as per the plan we ordered a bucket of calsberg. It was chhiled and 4 bottles were there. We availed the buffet menu. Lots of variety were there. We mainly targeted the starter items. Afterwards we took all the other items gradually. Service was bit slow. Overall it was a good experience.

Situated near triangular park. Just opposite the restaurant "Wall". This restaurant is more like a small pub. You can get variety of hookahs of different flavours. The place is most famous for relaxing and hookahs. Drinks are also available in variety of ranges. But I just went for the food there so I will give some food reviews.
The place is beautifully decorated. We sat in the other half of the restaurant and the other half has beautiful seating arrangements.Like private seating place with a table and a television. This half of the restaurant is open from 4pm. Beautiful covers play on the background. So overall nice and pleasant and calm ambience. Soothing environment.
The foods I took has very good taste and were delicious so they have awesome foods in quality and quantity wise. The staffs are really polite and welcoming.

1. Ajwain Fish Tikka.
2. Cold drinks - Thumbs up.
3.Crispy Fried Jumbo Prawns with Bao - This one is simply delicious and lip-smacking !!
4. Sticky Chicken Wings.

I liked the place and also it's service.. But i would like to mention that the quantity is not the worth of the price... I went there on Saptami with my friends and i ordered Chilli Pork and it just consisted of 6 pieces that too for a price of Rs.600.. According to me it's a bit overpriced other than that everything about this place is fine...
There are lots of restaurants with different themes and types, but the ambience is the one thing that attracts us to visit the place with our 2 years old boy. Though the ambience of it is one of the most favorite places of mine at just my first visit, the food makes my crave for this place to sky high. We had chicken sweet corn soup, chicken ceaser salad, chicken stroganoff, watermelon mojito and hola special. Everything is at the finest level and lastly the courteous staffs are surely the added benefits for this place. The only comment from my side for this place to everyone in zomato that please visit the place and enjoy every bit of this place and of course say HOLA to me...

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the space is cool for hanging out with friends and having a good time. The staff were warm and friendly.
As for the food, we ordered a dish called cheese chicken finger which was a big miss for us. It tasted stale and not good. Other than that, we loved the Cantonese noodles and the Pan-fried chili fish, both are highly recommended from a picky eater like me.
I went there for lunch. We ordered Chicken Cheese Fingers, Chicken Stroganoff, Chicken A la kiev and two mocktails. The chicken cheese fingers had no cheese in it and tasted like normal chicken nuggets. It was not worth the price. But the Chicken Stroganoff and Chicken A la kiev was excellent. The staff seemed a bit slow and our orders also were a bit slow to come. So better come with some time. Overall, the food and Ambience was very nice.
A great place to relax and chill with your gang. All the food items we tried were delicious. A soothing ambience was the cherry on top.
The place is nicely decorated and has good ambience. It's a good place for people who love watching sports. There are a variety of options for food lovers but service is a tad slow and some items impress but others leave something to be desired . I liked the paneer tikka and the lasagne they offer

We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We found the food at best average according to the standards and servings.
We started with a couple of mocktails and the laksa soup. The soup itself had the correct taste with the blend of coconut milk and shrimp paste, but lacked in ingredients on the inside. The laksa soup is famous for its accompaniments like boiled noodles, shredded chicken, prawns and eggs. I found have an egg and a few shrimps along with a bit of vermicelli.
The grilled fish sizzler had pieces of marinated fish which tasted nice. The chicken sizzler however was very chewy and fibrous and lacked the juicyness of the steak.
Chicken stoganoff lacked the thick cream on top of it, but serving portion was adequate.
Lastly, they made a mess of the indonesian chicken satay by adding excess of the flavour and converting it into a very salty item. I suppose we should have stuck to the standard items as the continental and pan asian courses lacked the finesse.
The overall ambience was nice and service was also standard.

All together was good, but could have been better. The ambience was good, but light was very dim and gloomy. Good lighting setup for a bar but when your are planning both food+ drinks, not a good place to hangout. I feel price was bit over priced for every item. Although the food quality and quality was sufficient. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The live singing will definitely add good mood. They don't have much items on North Indian dishes, mainly Chinese and continental. Sisha also available but again bit costly compared to other places. No dedicated smoking zone is there inside the restaurant, valent parking available. There are small private cabins which is truly beautiful with attached television. Located just opposite to The Wall restaurant at Southern avenue.

The quality of the food is up to mark. But the price isn't set properly it's too high according to the quantity they are providing. Ambience is average. One thing to mention is that there is live music and the singers are really appreciable. Hookah is also available over there. Overall moderate bar cum restaurant. One time visit from my side.
We went there to celebrate our friends birthday which was on a weekday. Even though it was a weekday the place was a packed house. On ambience part things are kept cool & swanky but in a normal way. The staff was courteous but just we felt they lack in knowledge of menu items which they can improve. There was ample space to sit but was a bit conjusted. Starters and main course were good. We ordered almost all the items on menu (VEG). A must visit place for all.
It's a nice place. Maybe on the costlier side but the ambience is super awesome. Main attraction is LIVE MUSIC & SONG. Highly recommend anyone who appreciates music.

This small restaurant, located in the Southern Avenue, is a good place to hangout with friends and family.
The taste of the food here was excellent. We tried the:
1) Chicken Steak sizzler
2) Hola special Chicken kebab
3) Tangra style chilli chicken
4) Schezwan noodles
5) Pan-fried chilli fish
6) Chicken tikka Masala
7) Chicken Manchow soup
And all of them were amazing choices.
Though at this juncture, I would say it would be good if they extended their menu more towards the north-indian side.
The ambience here, is good, if not excellent. With dim lighting, and a number of shisha options, it hits the spot.
The service was very good.
When here in kolkata, wanting good food, sure try this one out!

The place is good ambience is nice too each cabin has their personal tv where you can watch cricket matches. The food quality is really good. The only issue I noticed is the food serving time is a bit slow… we got the starter few minutes after we ordered but for main course we had to wait near a hour… the place was not crowded at all but still took so much time
The atmosphere is too good. If you are going for a dinner then you'll get to watch the live performance which also very soothing. Overall it is a great experience.
