Review Rath - Kolkata (Calcutta)

It is near the RICE HO begharia, I along with Bishnu , and Bhubaneswar went there for Biriyani . I have ordered biriyani as parcel form the restaurant as well. The man on the road front eggroll maker is so arrogant and houghty. The owner maam is humble and helpful though. The 2nd floor eatery is smelly and AC is too much chilling.

It is located in the middle of a very busy place, Rathtala, Kamarhati. However, it can be said that the dine in was almost vacant, although there is a lot of demand for take away. We ate chicken biryani here, which tasted good. The size of the chicken leg piece was also quite large. The price is quite reasonable compared to that. Nice place to have a lunch or dinner in a reasonable budget.

The place is ideally located on the junction of Feeder road and B T Road. It is opposite to Kamarhati municipality. The restaurant is upstairs.

Decent restaurant, pleasant ambiance, friendly staff, average food, service a bit slow. Reasonable for a casual meal.

Just want to give them slap...my stomach pain was started ..I had to go to the doctor...the worst food ...my health condition went wrong...just close this shop as soon as possible...😡😡😡😡😡

The provide very good quantity. We ordered mixed fried rice and chilli fish. The single plate can cater 3 people. Do not order by Zomato or swiggy you will get less portion. Order directly it will be cheaper and more quantity

It's a good restaurant with lower prices . I tried Chicken biriyani here which was better than many other places. The chicken piece was very good, tasty and big. The biriyani comes within a bowl with an egg and that fantasy of biriyani, a piece of potato( biriyanir alu). The service and seating area was also good, air conditioned and clean. The main thing that attracted me most was the service of the waiter , actually, he was very good at that. So overall it was not a bad choice for us .

The quality of food is great but it is located in busy place. All over the food quality is nice.

Restaurants is good and food quality also moderate. Food is also not costly but the behavior of the lady owner is not polite. There is a reason also that all male cook and delivery boys are working here and she is handling everything. She dealings with customers and workers in such a busy place like Rath tala junction of B.T.Road. I have also some bitter experience. One night I go there and order 25 vegitiran lunch for day after tomorrow. I came back home and remember that we need jain food without Onion and told her over phone. She asked me more price and I was ready to pay. But she supplied veg food at 2:30 pm with onions. After receiving my grievances over phone she told me that I agreed for onion food. I told that I have no recording of our conversation and I was bound to accept this because hungry relatives are waiting for lunch.

Very nice restaurant at Rathtala. They always maintain their quality. Biryani is fantastic --- according to taste, flavours & smell but price wise quantity is very low...though it’s true that quantity doesn’t matters but the quality matters....so go there n enjoy the quality foods.

The food is tasty enough. The restaurant menu is fairly priced. Most of the food on the menu is available. The good thing about this restaurant is that, they receive more takeaway orders as compared to dineout orders. Thus, the waiting time for dineout is less here. However, if you visit here on a national holiday or any festive holiday, the situation is totally different.

Most unprofessional way of business. One day I order a chicken biryani form this restaurant & the pic of chicken they provide it just makes my night very unhappy. Instate on chicken they only provide a pic of chicken bone. Be careful about to choose this restaurant for your lunch, dinner or any occasional order.

Worst service ever..we'd ordered fried rice,chilli paneer, chilli chicken.paneer was like sponge 🤮 the softness, taste nothing was in it,chicken pieces were also too small, gravy was tasteless tangy only not spicy..n rice was not properly cooked.. dinning service is very bad extremely late..

First Time We went There,( This Year On Doshomi). Located Just opposite side of Kamarhati Municipiality. Ambience Is Nice. Streets are Viewed easily from here. We Ordered one plate mixed Chowmin. Quality And Quantity both were very good With Low price. Two People can easily eat. Stuffs are well behaved. Highly recommended it.

Ordered online.. Firstly the chicken biriyani was great.. 😍And the chicken chaap was too.. Meats were juicy..😋 Gravy is lil bit spicy as chaap should be and the flavour of the biriyani is awesome ❤️ but the mix fried rice(rath's special) was so so bad.. Drums of heaven was ordered, received something which does not have any drum stick, the balls are 90% full with coating materials, hardly 10% chicken was found, taste like uncooked Atta, don't order it through Zomato, it like they send 3rd class food to adjust the discounted value

This place is near Rathtala, B. T. Road, near Kamarhati municipality and serving fast food, Indian, Chinese, Mughlai items. Average decor. Ambience is okayish. Food is good. Chicken clear soup, mushroom soup, chicken lollipop, dragon chicken, honey glazed chicken, hakka chicken chowmein, chilli chicken and chicken manchurian are some of the food that I have tasted. Food is tasty. Prices are economic.

The food is good, fresh and tasty. Good place for chicken or mutton biryani and Chinese food.. even tandoori items are good... will definitely like to try again..

Never been to this place physically but has access to it's mouth watering dishes through ZOMATO. It's good quality food, splendid taste, fab services is what kept me handcuffed to this restaurant since weeks. Never had the habit of posting pics and reviewing until today.

A small restaurant with good quality food is a must try if you just wanna eat out in limited budget. The egg rolls on the go is absolutely amazing with the rate as similar as other roadside food stalls. Also, do try their special chicken biriyani .

An okayish restaurant with average food. We had egg chicken noodles and it was not bad but needs improvement. The quantity was really good though.

First of all Rathtala offers very few places where AC sitting is available. This made me to try this restaurants couple of time as I live in Belghoria.<br/>Foods they offer is kind of street food quality. Tables are not cleaned, they remains oily. I had noodles which was very average, chilly chiken was so spicy that we were not able to consume whole. Fish fries were good. And Last time I purchased chicken pakora which was stuffed with aloo and maida where we could hardly find chicken.<br/>Nothing much you can expect from this place. Not very clean, very ill behaved staffs also work there.

Situated near rath tala crossing . Yo will see this restaurant just opposite of kamarhati municipality. The food is average . I ordered chicken fried rice and chill chicken . Though I liked thier fried rice but the chilli chickens quantity is very poor .

The sitting arrangement is just not good and the food is even worse. If you are under a necessity or emergency then this can be a quick pick.In comparison to other such places within walking distance this one might not stand out.

Been here with my friend. Pocket friendly restaurant. Good quality food. We ordered chicken lollipop and thai hot and sour chicken soup.... must say the soup was more than xpected... ! Only for 130 they serve 8 pieces of lollipop...

Decent place. Well the place is quite small so the sitting arrangement isn't that great but I have to admit that the food quality is great. From chowmein to fried rice. . . Everything tastes exceptionally good and the place is quite crowded as well.

Visit this place in weekend try to order some food like as a stater some tandoor item, then indian bread with some chicken side dish and cold drinks the best thing was except cold drinks nothing was available also in this weather they are offering normal water instead of cold water.

Used to be good sit in restaurant when it was opened, on the First floor providing a good view overlooking the Busy streets.<br/>Fall from grace has occurred since then. Poor quality food, poor ambience, poor service poor everything. <br/>And don't bother getting takeouts either. Biriyani is quite tasteless; If you want rolls, just cross the road and go to newly opened Zaffrani. The cashier lady who sits at the front desk has the most foul attitude ever!

Visit/order for home delivery if and only if you are too hungry and if you don't have any other option. Their food is good sometimes, sometimes they are bad. In fact, most of the times. I had to visit this restaurant or order for home delivery because I had no other option in my area. Their delivery system is good when not on demand. Else, if you order a chicken Biryani at 6 PM, your order will be delivered at 10:30 PM after several calls (my home is only 5 minutes walking distance from the outlet). They need a good manager and a decent cook. I feel sad when I see that they are located in such an awesome spot, but doing so bad in business. :(

Went there once as we could'nt find a decent restaurant nearby (had gone with some work and was late actually). Just an average hotel serving average quality food. Okayish. Served us hot food though!!

Nope. Dont have a lot of good things to say about this place. When we were there, there was no WATER in the restaurant. Not even drinking water! Food was average at best and it took us some time to find someone to serve us! Not going to recommend it to anyone.

Rath..It is situated in Rathtala..just opposite to the nazrul mancha.<br/>It was the 1st restaurant which I was visited, at the day of admission in my college(2011)..at that time I was with my mom n dad...with me they also appreciated the food very much...<br/>After that...I went there many times..my favorite food items of this restaurant are..chicken varta,paneer butter masala,chicken butter masala,butter nun, mix fried rice,lachcha Porota..etc...the price was also cheaper than other restaurant. BUT NOW A DAYS it is totally changed..I don't know what is the reason behind it..<br/>Quality of food is decreasing day by day..last time I was very much disappointed abt my favorite dish 'chicken varta..' it was very much spicy and red in colour...another thing..availability....the tanduri items are remain unavailable most of the time..Abt the cooking place..now it is outside the restaurant just beside the road..can you imagine abt it.<br/>Those who reading my review....<br/>You can go to this restaurant..but don't forget to inform me abt the recent conditions of it..:-)

I have visited a few times to this restaurant... the space is too clumsy and narrow., the food is okk.. not too good n not too bad .. restaurant provides a variety in its items but maximum times the items r unavailable.. I remember once i visted and ordered some of the tandoori items and found it to be off.. I had to return and was embarrassed..

Very good restaurant at rathtala,belgharia. it's situated opposite side of kamarhatty municipal building.This restaurant is the best biriyani maker at pocket friendly price and also the other items tastes good too.

The rice is very good here. Crispy chicken was also tasty. Chicken sweet cone soup was good. The price was really reasonable and without tax.
