I was amazed by its beauty and grandeur. The entire white marble building stands in the middle of a lush green garden, surrounded by fountains and statues. The memorial has art galleries where one can see beautiful and old art pieces. They have displayed portraits, coins, pillars, arches and sculptures. You can also some of the personal belongings of Queen Victoria which were used by her. It is one of the landmark and signature locations of the City of Joy Kolkata. It is a must-visit place for all. It represents majestic British architecture. There is a huge park inside and it takes around 1.5 hours to visit the whole palace. One can spend time sitting in the park with the family and kids. The ticket price is 20₹ (keep a change) and weekdays are less crowded. Ticket Counter closed at 5 PM. There is availability of drinking water inside. In the evening, they also have a half an hour light show which starts at 6.30 pm and the ticket price is 100 per person. The ticket window opens at 6 p.m.

Victoria memorial is a one of the most famous historical place in World.Designed and architecture by William Emerson and Vincent Esch(1843 - 1924).The Victoria Memorial stands amidst beautiful gardens and features a large bronze statue of Queen Victoria. Inside, the museum displays a rich collection of artifacts, including paintings, sculptures, and historical items from the British Raj era. I celebrated my birthday at Victoria Memorial Hall on 28/12/2023, and it was truly magical. The evening ambiance added to the charm, making the hall look absolutely gorgeous. A perfect way to spend a special day surrounded by history and beauty.

The Victoria Memorial stands as an architectural masterpiece, showcasing a blend of elegance and historical significance. The majestic structure and its surrounding gardens provide a serene escape in the heart of the city. The museum inside offers a rich tapestry of India's colonial past, although some exhibits might benefit from modernization. Overall, Victoria Memorial is a must-visit for history enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into India's cultural heritage amidst a regal and well-preserved setting.

The Place is surrounded by nature and you will definitely enjoy your time spending out here. There is also a gallery where many things are restored during the Victorian era.The most disappointing thing is there is no facility to book tickets online. I have visited Jaipur & Delhi where every archaeological structure tickets are maintained by the archaeological survey of India but here we don't get that facility.

One of the must visit places if you're in Kolkata. This is a museum which used to be Queen Elizabeth's palace (home) once upon a time. The place is good to visit with family, friends or even solo. The architecture is awe-inspiring and the garden around the place is maintained very nicely. The lakes and gardens surrounding the whole place make the atmosphere soothing and make you feel closer to nature and away from the noise of the city.

A grand colonial monument and a Calcutta landmark, the Victoria Memorial Museum is a must-visit for those who want to understand the history of the city and of one of the longest-reigning British monarchs. The museum is well maintained and the grounds are great for public recreation too.

A beautiful monument constructed during British empire in the city center is a visit worthy place. The construction of the building extraordinary. There are a lot of gardens surrounding the building which are very clean and beautiful supported by small ponds. Entry ticket is required for visiting the place.

The monument kind of construction in Kolkata in the name of Victoria memorial. Had many objects on display from the freedom fights like guns and swords and sharp knives used in riots at that time by Indian freedom fighters. Audio visual presentation makes it more captivating experience for interested visitors. Very well kept and maintained gardens and small ponds in the surrounding area makes the visit memorable for sure

The outer grounds are clean and good for a day's picnic in the vast gardens. Inside only the main hall architecture is worth seeing, rest are the artifacts related to the history of the place. If you are someone genuinely interested in knowing the history then you can go inside otherwise it can be skipped. Mondays closed!!

This memorial is architectural beauty. A must visit place if you are in your Kolkata trip. Beauty differs in day time and night time. Recommend going in the afternoon so that you can enjoy the beauty both in daylight and night time. I visited it after sunset. That time the perfectly placed lights made the memorial look even more mesmerizing but could not enjoy the greenery of front part lake. I visited in weekdays so did not notice any queue or waiting. But in weekends or public holidays more people visit this place.

The Victoria Memorial at night is a mesmerizing spectacle that transforms the already stunning monument into a magical work of art. The soft illumination accentuates the intricate details of the architecture, creating a captivating play of light and shadow. The surrounding gardens take on a dreamlike quality, enhancing the overall enchantment. Visiting the Victoria Memorial after sunset offers a unique and romantic experience, with the monument bathed in a warm glow against the night sky. It's a must-see for anyone looking to appreciate the charm and elegance of this historical landmark in a different light, quite literally.

The historical place is maintained well. Not a fan of British works but do appreciate the art and beauty this architecture holds. A nice place to spend time and read book in peace (despite of the crowd and couples around)

Fantastic light show! Lasts for about 45 mins and walks you through the history of Kolkata. The narration and the content is amazing. Of course, you'll find enthusiasts (read id10t$) recording the show instead of actually watching it live, thereby blocking your view while doing so. But that's a minor irritant. Highly recommended!

It's lovely place to visit with family and friends. You can spend here some quality time. Located in Kolkata. A beautiful piece of architecture and history. Here you can explore history and can relax at garden. You can buy tickets at entrance gates. For visiting inside memorial for exploring history you have to buy another ticket. Overall good experience.

Kolkata Victoria memorial is a historical place. It has a great value in culture, history and architecture. Most of the people come here to see the history of British rule. This place is very well decorated. There are green big parks all over the place. Also there are 2 big ponds here. The museum area is very interesting and historical. Many historical statues situated here too.

Great way to spend half a day in Kolkata. Beautiful, quiet gardens. Many local families go and spend the day here having picnics or just stitting. A real highlight of peace in a city of hustle and bustle.
