This review is based on my several visits to this place and unbiased.
This is situated behind Peerless inn and near to Esplanade metro station gate number 5 or 6. Foods, starters and main courses, are quite well but not delicious. This place is mainly famous for the bar. You can enjoy drinks as well as food in a calm and air-conditioned environment without any unnecessary troubles. Washroom is available on the first floor but cleanlines can be improved. Employees of restaurant are well-mannered and you do not have to wait much for foods to come after you finish ordering. Types of food items are not so huge in number but whatever you order will be presented in a decorated way. Infact, overall performance is good enough to deserve 3.7 star.
People are suggested to go if they want to drink. For drinking and eating together, its a nice place to attend. Foods are not that much tasty for to go for only eating.

The food is Good here. Not extremely tasty but not bad as well. Price is average not expensive. No Washroom facility at the restaurant. You have to take stairs and go up at the bar section where you have the Washroom. Good for singles, couples, groups. Not suitable for family as they serve beer, wine and other drinks which most family might feel inappropriate. Well decorated. At a very prime location. Take Metro Gate - 5 and then take left you will easily find this restaurant.

Very bad experience.<br/>The air conditioner in this restaurant dosent even work. They took almost 35minutes to deliver the food to our table, and after spending Rs 147 on Hakka noodles ,the quantity which was provided, was not enough for two people and the taste was like local street food. We tried to order few more dishes from the menu which they mentioned is not available right now.The quality of service was also very poor, as the waiter was touching the centre of our plate with his hands several times.

I was reluctant at first but I choose to visit the same since I required a booze. The bar was quite easy to find. We chose the upper case and not the dance bar section. Firstly the prices of the beer were quite high. We also went with a platter of schezwan chicken which was so so. The place was not that appeasing so it was once a visit for me.

Rang Mahal is a very tiny bar. You may easily overlook it amidst the hustle bustle of New market. This place was not on my list. After buying a phone I went to Esplanade to have a drink. I planned to go to elsewhere but this place was nearest to me and it looked pretty decent. So I entered and ordered a plate of dried chilly chicken, a bottle of beer and a mojito. The food was average. I have had better chilly chicken. But the drinks were quite cheap. And the man who was waiting on my table was cordial. In short, it was a good experience.

Okay Rang Mahal is an old place situated on the ground floor of Roxy building, esplanade. Actually we intended to go somewhere else but that was too far and we were super hungry and thus we went here. The decor is decent and I found the seating area a whole lot spacious. It was divided into sections. Coming to food, we ordered fried rice, chicken schezwan and manchurian chicken and masala soda. The quality and the quantity was decent and totally worth the money. It was one of my friend's birthday and we went to this restaurant to have our lunch. First of all the ambience was not at all good , secondly the staff was not at all good. The food was toooooo salty and tasted yucckk. Felt like not having the food. Then we asked the waiter to unpack the cake and keep it on the plate but they were like it's not possible here n all . Then later they demanded for tip and that to ₹150 as a tip. I just don't recommend it to anyone.

Went for an quick lunch at rang mahal located near roxy cinema. We ordered mixed rice,chilli chicken,cold drinks,and fresh lime soda(salt). Food was not so impressive. Prawn in mixed fried rice was not fresh, chicken was thickly coated and fresh lime soda was too salty to drink.

This bar & restaurant is advisable to be visited during lunch time till 6.30 max if you are having any lady friend with you or if you are a girl going with your girl friends. Cheap booze and cheap food. But trust me you cant handle the crowd after 7pm coz it turns to a singing bar after that(i wouldn't mention anything else). <br/>Service personnel are extremely nice, polite and decent. Food was average, we had mixed haka chow and drums of heaven. Decor and ambience is basic with comfy couches on the mezzanine floor, the restaurant is clean and looked hygienic that's the best part.<br/>We had no idea about it until the clock struck 7.30, it was a limit less cheap thrill. So early hours is safe for girls if you are in search of cheap menu in new market area.

I was here with a friend two weeks back. Since this place serves both north Indian and chinese, I took fried rice and chilli chicken and she had tandoori roti with chicken butter masala. The food came to our tables after 30 mins. I was really disappointed with the rice and chilli chicken, which was very less in quantity and the taste was just average. The butter chicken was pathetic as the chicken was stiff. Would never again come back !

Rangmahal is located just beside the famous roxy cinema hall and it doesnt boasts about an exterior decoration only a yellow board displaying its name. We visited this place only once for a drink and quick bite before a film at Roxy. It is in the same building, so was convenient for us. <br/><br/>The ambiance is basic but comfortable. They have AC. It was almost empty when we entered. Our order was simple. A bottle of beer and a plate of Chicken Pakora. The beer was served instantly along with sev in a small cute bucket shaped bowl. And then we went on waiting for the Pakora. After several reminders it was served when the beer was almost complete.<br/><br/>The pakora however tasted great. Perfect to go with drinks. It was well marinated, soft and spicy. Loved it. Although at 190+ taxes it was overpriced (there were eight small pieces). <br/><br/>No idea about other food items, but I think it is a OK place for a quick round of drinks if you are around. But don't visit this place if you are in a hurry. The service is real slow.

Had visited the place during the "Soshti" 2k15... The place was quite empty with only one table occupied...had ordered chicken tikka butter masala and tandoori roti.. The food was neither bad nor good..it was okayish..but the restaurant is quite unhygienic coz we spotted a mouse running inside the restaurant... Charging a tax of 20prcnt for that quality of food and still not maintaining the minimum hygiene level is very disappointing... So would not recommend this place at all..

We were just hanging around the place so thought of checking it out. The interiors are ok, so is the seating arrangements. We ordered chicken tikka kebab and chicken tandoor for starters and it was delicious. But after that the chicken bharta really dissapointed me. I would like to add that the presentation of food is wonderful and the behaviour of the staffs are very warm.

We went to rang mahal yesterday with very little expectation. Since it was very early in the day the food was quite expectedly served piping hot. The chicken tandoori is spicy unlike other places. Would really recommend chicken tandoori from here. Other than that had chilli chicken and fried rice which was descent. Yesterday, I went to this place after quite a long time. The place looks in it's era of decadence. It seemed so lacklustred. Although the food was good, flavorful, just like the last time. A special mention to their smoothies...I'm a big fan. The waiters are courteous too, indeed very polite. But they seriously need to brush up this place.

The place is average and I do not feel like visiting for a second time unless I'm that hungry ;) I somehow feel that had this restro been in a less populated place with lesser footfall around then it might not have been around for long!!!!!! <br/>The primary reason for this is the average food quality and the not so polite behavior of their staff. More of a place where you can go for some food after shopping,not much of a go to place if you are in the mood of having good food and spending time.I have had their biryani which was more or less okay. The pricing is cheap and most people around are college goers with friends. So you know its an option if you decide to go light on the pocket :)

An average place. After a rather long shopping spree in Esplanade my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat, and this was the first decent looking place we came across. Had butter naan and Chicken tikka masala. Both of them were decent, the tikka masala was a tad salty, but nevertheless our hunger made sure they tasted perfectly well. A bottle of mineral water was provided free of cost, which was nice. The place looks modest and considering its location and the number of hungry shoppers it may attract, the number of seats are hardly adequate. The people who took our orders were courteous if only a bit slow. Not really for the food connoisseurs but is a stable option for the shoppers.

Rang Mahal has deteriorated a lot from what I had seen 2 years back. The environment inside the restaurant is really shabby and the floor below the table is full of dirt. I went inside the restaurant and was offered a seat where the bulb above the table was out of order. To make things worse, the waiter's behaviour was also not good. All these things infuriated me so much that I came out of the restaurant to visit some other place.

This restaurant in esplanade serves decent north Indian food. We entered this place as it suddenly started raining while we were shopping in new market area. the atmosphere is decent,like any other restaurant with comfortable seating arrangement. Coming to the food, since we were in no mood of experiment, we decided on some paneer butter masala and chicken tikkas with butter naan. Taste was average,nothing special,but can always be tried for a change.
