Review Dilkhush Cabin - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Sabarna Sen
As you know this is a very old cabin style restaurant but all the cabins are removed now. It becomes very crowded during weekends so you have to share tables with others and don't expect 100% hygiene. Choose your food properly before ordering because after the food order it's very tough to change it cause the service is really very fast. I have tried Egg chicken chowmein, chilli chicken, fish fry and fish kabiraji. The taste of egg chicken chowmein and fish fry was nice. Chilli chicken was a bit extra sweet and fish kabiraji was really very good. The fish used was really fresh. Overall the experience was decent. PS: The chilli chicken contains 4pc of chicken (not 6 or 8pc) so order accordingly.

Dilkhusha is no doubt very simple and sober restaurant at MG road infront of Adi Mohini however in the simplicity the food is very tasty. We ordered different items like chicken kosha, noodles, Fried rice, roti, fish kobiraji etc and all food was mouth watering. Very decent/reasonable prices. Huge number of people were there to eat, some of them were waiting for the people to finish their food so they can sit. Good to eat.

In these old cabin style restaurants, you can often find classic Bengali dishes and other traditional delicacies. The dishes is often served with slices of onion and Kasundi, enhancing the overall taste. The contrast of the crispy coating with the succulent fish makes it a delightful experience for fish fry lovers. The Vetki fry is a classic Bengali delicacy that you shouldn't miss if you're in Kolkata.

Restaurant is not visible from outside. Food is very good as per price. Service is fast. Not wheelchair accessible. Not an AC restaurant so it will hot other than winter. Must try: fish kabiraji and chicken cutlet

I got to know that their Fish Kabiraji is special. And I saw they're serving pretty big fish Kabiraji which is really tasty. It cost 145/- for one. The drawback is that this place accepts cash only. So those who are very habituated in carrying less cash and depend upon online payment options, are bound to face issues. I think they should start accepting the online payments ASAP.

I tried fish kabiraji here. Price -140. Good quality and quantity of fish are in it. It is value for money food. But one negative point of this shop is that there have no online payment process. Only cash accepted here.

The food was amazing and value for money. You can easily share a plate with another person, if you are not a voracious eater. Service was fast. The server was very humble. Overall, a great experience.

Delicious food with affordable pricing.. Pocket friendly resturant for students but provide value of money. Specially fish kabiraji and fish cutlet have the potential steal the show. Cabin-experience has been absent but quantity and quality of food item have been unputdownable. Non ac and clumsy atmosphere has suppress the popularity of this place nowdays.

Excellent place to be if you are a student/book lovers/frequent college street goer. You can have lunch, snacks, dinner under 150-200 bucks easily. Even under 100/- is possible ! The waiter dada is an awsm person to cater the customers. Must try is fish kobiraji, chicken chowmin, chicken kosha - ruti, chilli chicken, fish fry. The only downside is that, this is not a air condition place, so summer days lunch time session gets a bit hot and humid. Though irrespective of that I have spent several hours for adda and fooding with my gang at this place.

Whenever I feel tired and hungry in College Street,I must visit Dilkhush...yes,this is one of the heritage and cheapest joint in North Kolkata which have maintained its food quality till time. Oh yes,you can't find wonderful ambience here but trust me, it's really comfortable and cordial too. 😁 Must recommend their non-spicy but tastier 'mutton kasha' with 'Gorom ruti(Handmade bread)' 🤘

One of the oldest joint in Kolkata and the name is true in every sense, it makes you happy indeed. Situated at the heart of college street. It serves the best fast food in the area be it mutton kabiraji, fried rice ,chilly chicken, chowmein and what not. It is a must visit for me whenever I happen to be in the area. Last time I visited had ordered mixed chowmein and chilli chicken. The quantity was really good and the food will definitely excite ur tastebuds. The best place for "adda" with friends over some truly delicious food. The waiters are super friendly and they really take good care of the customers. It has always been an enjoyable experience whenever I visit.

Dilkhusa cabin is on of the famous cabin in North Calcutta..they maintain a good quality of food . As per price quantity was huge for one person and enough for two. I would recommend there special dish chicken kobiraji it's really good..and lots of chicken chunks in noodles.. but all foods are little bit oily in that time this price It is not right to expect everything perfect ❤️ overall it's 4/5

They removed all the cabins. Food quality and quantity is decent I'd say. The old say vibes are somewhat still there, but dont expect to be blown away.
