Rang De Basanti Dhaba is Popular since years for serving lip-smacking 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲 at affordable rates. I tried Palak Paneer with Rumali Roti which tasted super delicious.😋 Therefore, I would highly recommend this combo. 🔺️Rating: 4.2/5 📍Location:1, Andul Raj Rd, Hazra, Kalighat, Kolkata, West Bengal 700026 This is a 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 but they are also available on @swiggyindia & @zomato

This place has been one of my favourites since a long time. Recently, I ordered from their Hazra Takeaway. Rumali Roti and Dal Makhani. I must say, the dal makhani was so delicious and had a perfect balance. It goes best with rumali rotis. ✨I would highly recommend this place ❤️

Very famous Rang De Basanti Dhaba is now at South Kolkata, Hazra. But this is the only Takeaway outlet. Just try their items. Just mouthwatering. Got to know about 15% off in Takeaway. I tasted their Pressure Cooker Chicken Curry with Rumali Rotis. It tasted so good and finger licking. And their packaging is also very attractive and good. Must try.

Presenting Rumlai Rooti with Dhaba Style Mutton. Price: ₹239 The Mutton piece was quite and tender juicy. 2 succinent pcs mutton cooked in little trangy dhaba style gravy. It was delicious. Packing was also nice. Overall a must try.

Chicken roll from @rdbdhabakolkata Enjoy the authentic Indian Cuisine with Rang De Basanti Dhaba. This is their takeaway counter which is located very near (1 min walking distance) to Jatin Das Park metro station gate no 6. I also tried their goli soda. You can order it from zomato or swiggy also.

North Indian food cravings just got satisfied with this lovely combo from @rdbdhabakolkata South Kolkata Hazra Outlet. I had recently ordered this Peeli Dal - Paneer Butter Masala - Tandoori Roti combo served with Raita and salad. Also ordered pudina flavoured goli soda Sikanji in authentic kanche wali soda bottle to keep oneself refreshed in this summer weather. Worthy for the price charged. All the food taste was nice liked it all. Both Dal and paneer were good in taste. As I had opted for no onion and garlic same instructions were followed taken care very well. The rotis size was also good enough. Raita was also tasty. The Sikanji was very refreshing really liked it. Overall very satisfactory with food and delivery. The packaging was also very good due to ensure no spil of food in journey. Hope to order other food dishes soon. Taste : 5/5 , . . One can order through Zomato/ Swiggy

Few days back I ordered Tandoori chicken 2.0, Masala Kulcha & Tawa ruti from RDBD.It is a cloud kitchen and they are now delivering at Hazra & South Kolkata. The quality of food was really good but quiet overpriced. The taste & flavour of tandoori chicken was just awesome. If you want some delicious punjabi dishes then you have to order from here. The best thing is they served food with eco-friendly packaging & which was spilt proof. So I think it was good but not pocket friendly.

Amazing North Indian food from the kitchen of Rang de Basanti. This is a cloud kitchen only place with options of takeaway and deliveries. Swiggy or zomato both are losted partners. Food was very tasty and the Basanti Dal was yummy. We had a rumali roti, kadai paneer, dal and butter nan and each and every item was as yummm. Packaging is super duper in card board box. The way the packing is done, there is no way there would be spill which we experience in other restaurants packaging. Highly recommended for food lovers.

Serving lip smacking delicacies in affordable rates.... The packaging is worth mentioning and the food tastes really good... The delhi butter chicken, amritsari kulche, dhaba style chilli chicken, dal makhani, railway mutton curry, palak paneer, every dish ordered were too good... Only the laccha paratha tastes a bit unsatisfactory, would prefer to go for rumali roti instead.

This restaurant was my saviour during my Kolkata visit with family. We ordered our lunch and dinner both from this restaurant. This restaurant serves amazing food. Thier quality and quantity is very amazing. Price is reasonable too. Feels like having home cooked food with less oil and super tatse.

Recently I ordered Tandoori Chicken 2.0 from RDBD & the food definitely tasted very good.It is a cloud kitchen and they are now delivering at Hazra & South Kolkata. The actual portion was not huge but it will be able to satisfy you on a small portion. The typical north indian dhaba style flavour has further enhanced the taste of the chicken. Now comes to the packaging, it was totally spilt proof & accompanied by cutlery which I really liked. So after considering all the aspects it was pretty much okay.

From RDBD, I ordered Dhaba Style Mutton Curry & Masala Kulcha. It is a cloud kitchen and they are now delivering at Hazra & South Kolkata.Food quality undoubtedly good but too costly. Dhaba style mutton curry has ultimate north Indian dhaba style flavour which was really great but little bit of spicy. Now what can I say about kulcha, it was good in taste with full of masala. I think it was one of the softest kulcha I ever had. They provide eco-friendly packaging that was really nice. I will order again very soon & you can also try from there.

Awesome place for Desi food! Specially khichadi.. I have them an order on Zomato and asked them to make the khichadi in a different way and they were not only able to follow the instructions but the food was fresh, warm, and just like how you get it on your table from the kitchen. Purushottam and Chef, good job!

I opted for 1. Dahi ke kebab<br/>2. Daal tadka<br/>3. Chicken tandoori<br/>4. Chicken tawa biriyani<br/>And to my surprise I absolutely loved the tawa biriyani, not like the usual biriyani, but that was so good in taste. Loved having it. Secondly the daal tadka was good, as well the chicken Tandoori, though the size of the chicken was small.<br/>Dahi ke kebab are good. Try them if you visit RDBD

Being a hardcore meat lover, I’m absolutely delighted to say that I absolutely loved the non veg dishes here. Be it tandoori or mutton or creamy chicken, they won my heart with their hospitality and food. Their dum chicken is a must try. It’s delicious, aromatic, and extremely filling. Also, if you are looking for something veg and crispy, try their bhindi bhujji. I tried it for the first time ever and I absolutely loved it. The ambiance is great and a perfect place for dinner with a big group of friends.

Rang De Basanti Dhaba is my all time favourite. This restaurant has many outlets in kolkata. I visited their ballygunge outlet. The ambience of this restaurant is just awesome. This restaurant is basically famous for punjabi cuisine. I tasted here Chicken Lasooni Tikka Kebab, Mutton Rogan Josh, Mutton Rara, Dilla Ka Butter Chicken, Naan and Firni. All the dishes are just amazing taste. Services and behaviour of the staffs are also very good.

Visited this place yesterday with my family.. It was totally empty when we arrived there.. We ordered paneer tikka.. Crispy aloo with Maggie masala.. Chicken cheese tikka and chicken tikka.. Chicken tikka was not soft at all.. And quantity was also not up to the mark. Crispy aloo took lot of time to serve.. Later on in main course we tried makai di roti and sarso ka saag.. It was so so.. Butter chicken boneless.. Mutton gtavy and chole with butter naan.. Butter chicken i liked the most.. Apart from that other dishes are so so.. At the end phirni which was absolute failure.. Moderate experience overall..

The place was completely empty when I came in. Had to wait around 40 minutes for my friends to arrive who were extremely late owing to traffic. The waiters were very polite and let me wait inside even though I didn't order anything for a long time. They even served me water.<br/><br/>For starters, we ordered a half Tandoori Chicken (2 pieces) and a Chicken Tikka Peri Peri (6 pieces). The tandoori chicken was a bit disappointing. The two pieces were uneven. One was more meaty than the other. It was also kinda bland. The pieces of chicken in the Tikka Peri Peri were very small but it tasted good. Not too spicy or too bland. Cannot say value for money for any of the starters.<br/><br/>For the main course, we had the following -<br/><br/>Plain Naan: Slightly burnt but great. Value for money.<br/><br/>Butter Naan: Good. Value for money.<br/><br/>Garlic Naan: Didn't taste. My friend loved it though.<br/><br/>Laccha Paratha: Really bad. It was dripping in oil and was completely falling apart.<br/><br/>Masala Kulcha: Pretty good. Value for money.<br/><br/>Chicken Dum Biriyani: The aloo was burnt. The rice tasted great. The chicken piece was meaty. Quantity is a bit on the lower side.<br/><br/>Dilli Ka Butter Chicken (Boneless): Fantastic. Highly recommended this dish. Enough gravy to pair well with parathas, naans, and kulchas. There were 6 pieces of chicken in it. The gravy was on the sweeter side but tasted great.<br/><br/>Punjabi Ghee Roast Chicken: Had 3 pieces of chicken. Less gravy. Does not go well with parathas, naans, and kulchas. The pieces of chicken had very little meat on them. Quite the disappointment.<br/><br/>The staff is very polite and attentive. The ambience is nice. They put on Hindi songs at a moderate volume and it makes a pleasant atmosphere.

Went to Rang De Basanti, Ballygunge Outlet to try out their Winter Menu. In the winter menu we tried the following dishes:<br/><br/>1. Tamatar Dhania Shorba<br/><br/>2. Palak Shorba<br/><br/>3. Dhaba Murgh shorba<br/><br/>4. Paya Shiri Shorba (Mutton Paya)<br/><br/>5. Sarson ka Saag, Makke ki roti<br/><br/>Out these items we would recommend the following<br/><br/>✔️ Palak Shorba<br/><br/>✔️ Dhaba Murgh Shorba<br/><br/>✔️ Sarson da saag + Makki di Roti
Ayan Saha
After hearing about it from other people we at last went to rang de basanti dhaba to try their new winter special menu. As we reached there we witnessed a really warm and nice ambience. It was so beautifully decorated just like Rang de basanti Dhaba at sector 5 salt lake. We tried a lot of food. We ordered sarson ka saag and makke de roti, paya shiri shorba, gajar ka halwa, dhaba murg shorba, baby naan etc.<br/><br/>Each and every dish was absolutely amazing. I specially loved the sarson ka saag and makke di roti which was really good and the murg shorba tasted so good with the baby naan . The service there was amazing as well... Really polite and really professional.<br/>I loved it there and I'll advice every one to go there and have a nice time.

Went here for a quick lunch. Amazing decor with funny quotes stuck on the wall and a huge tractor just on the entrance! 😍<br/>Food quality is amazing and pocket friendly! 💕<br/>Well behaved and friendly stuff. The good thing was they didn't take much time on serving the food. 💯<br/>Looking for more such visits. ❤️

One of the best dhaba in Kolkata, they take the dhaba style food and mix it with modern touch and present a completely new dhaba style couisin. Visit it yesterday with my family and it's really been a great experience.<br/><br/>Interior- When you enter into the front gate you surely be shocked for sometimes for the trackter you see infront of you😂. The interior feels you a pure Punjabi village and some dhaba style design present in a artistic way. You just love the place for sure.<br/><br/>Ambience- we were the first at that time then for time to time the restaurant will be filled. Some Punjabi song playing at the background which make the ambience much better. Otherwise the place was peaceful, everyone enjoyed their own company and the food.<br/><br/>Service- The service was bit slow but the staffs were really good and their behavior was really impressive.<br/><br/>Location- It's located at Bullygung circular road near Naba Durga mandir. You should take the help of Google map which is helpful for you.<br/><br/>Now come to the taste of the food that we tried-<br/><br/>/*Drinks*/<br/><br/>||Soda Sikanji||- This one cost INR 90 and it's available in all four flavors. The soda tasted like Aampanna sorbot and it's presented in a unique way. The quantity was good as it served in a bottle.<br/><br/>||Sweet Lassi||- The Lassi also cost INR 90. And it's served in a mud pot and the quantity was really good. The Lassi was very thick and tasted good.<br/><br/>/*Starter*/<br/><br/>||RDBD Fried Chicken||- This one cost INR 280 but for the price quantity was poor. It's normally contain two pieces but as we were four people so they are cut the pieces into small size 5-6 pieces. The chicken was so soft and juicy, the outer layer was crispy and the inner was very juicy. It served with salad and green chutney. The taste was really great. For startar you should try this.<br/><br/>||Afghani Murgh Kebab||- This one cost INR 295 and it had 4 pieces of juicy chicken. The kebabs were truly yummylicious and it's totally opposite of tandoori chicken, it's a less spicy kebab and perfect for those who loves non spicy kebab. The kebabs were marinated with yogurt and casew paste and had a nice aroma. It was one of the best kebab I tried. #Recommended.<br/><br/>/*Main Course*/<br/><br/>||Hari Mirch Ki Roti||- This one was their hot selling item from the bread section and it's cost INR 28. The roti is for spicy lovers, if don't like spicy food then you shouldn't ordered it. The roti was so soft and full of green chillies and good with all side dish. It's really a inovative dish. #Recommended.<br/><br/>||Masala Kulcha||- This one cost INR 60 and it's nothing exceptional, we all know about Kulcha. It's tastes good and the staffing was also good.<br/><br/>||Masala Pulao||- It's tasted like rice fried with some veggies in desi ghee. It's look like the fusion of basanti Pulao and vegetable Pulao. The taste was okay and it's cost INR 170. The quantity was sufficient for two people.<br/><br/>||Rarra Mutton||- This one cost INR 330 and it's quantity also poor for the price. It's contain 4-5 pieces of small size mutton. But nothing to say about the quality and taste, it's really amazing. The mutton pieces were so soft that it literally melting in your mouth and the gravy was also made with mutton keema and garnish with egg whites. The gravy was not so spicy and it's good with rotis.<br/><br/>||Utterly Butterly Chicken||- This one was the star of the day. It's cost INR 335 and it's contain some medium size boneless chicken. The chicken pieces were so soft and the gravy was full of butter like pure Punjabi food. The gravy tasted like heaven, it's blown up in your mouth. And the most important thing was that the gravy was dry you should ordered some other items also for the breads. #Recommended.<br/><br/>||Basanti Dal Makhani||- The name literally carried the flavor of the dhaba. Any Punjabi meal was incomplete without Dal makhani. This one cost INR 180 and the quantity was enough for all four people. Dal Makhani was tasted very good and it's served it with lots of butter on top. #Recommended.<br/><br/>/*Dessert*/<br/><br/>||Suji Ka Halwa||- This was the perfect dessert to finish a punjabi meal and it's cost INR 105. It served in a clay pot, the quantity was okay but it will be better if it was bit more. Btw the taste was really good, it's not so sweet and after a while I ate suji and it will be a better experience.#Recommended.<br/><br/>N.B.- Some points that the restaurant should be improved first of all the quantity and the second thing was that the foods were served cold. This things should be improved.<br/><br/>Btw the plates were like still chakti and it's make the taste of the food more authentic. Only khatia was missing to make the dhaba full fill.<br/><br/>Quality-5/5<br/>Quantity-4/5<br/>Taste-5/5<br/>Service-5/5<br/>Ambience-5/5<br/><br/>#RangDeBasantiDhaba

Ordered the Chicken Tandoori via Swiggy but the quantity was abysmal. What was especially sad was that from the breast piece there were clealry chuncks taken out to make it smaller. I understand that restaurants pay online platforms insane commissions but reducing the quantity to the consumer to this extent is shocking.<br/><br/>What I paid for was easily double in terms of worth, compared to what I received.<br/><br/>Won't be ordering again.
Moumita Nandi
We had ordered RDBD Fried Chicken and Highway Tandoori Chicken for starters, Garlic Naan, Butter Naan and Chicken Tikka Butter Masala for main course and for dessert we had ordered Kesaria Phirni. The food was tasty and was served hot. The phirni was creamy and had perfect amount of sweetness. Service here is impressive, the staffs are friendly and well behaved. Price here is quiet reasonable. The ambiance is eye catching and totally instagram worthy.

Me and my friends went there in Durga puja and we ordered :<br/>* Highway Tandoori Chicken ( full )<br/>* Chicken kosha .<br/>* Soda sikanji<br/>* Naan<br/>* Chicken biriyani.<br/>Our favourite was Highway tandoori chicken , I didn't have that much of a tasty kebab in a longgg time . eveything else was also lips smacking except the soda sikanji ( excessive salty) .<br/>The ambience , behavior of the staffs was very nice . we had a nice time there . Definitely will go there again in future .

Rang de basanti Dhaba.<br/>A wonderful Panjabi restaurant located in ballygunge area.<br/>There are total 7 branches.<br/>The ambience was too good.<br/>Food quality is very good and price was reasonable.<br/>Staff behaviour was good.<br/>All Panjabi food was so delicious spacilly panner butter masala and chicken hariali kebabs was truly fantastic.

Ordered for achari mushroom. It was fresh and well grilled. The accompaniments were good too especially pudina chutney. It was a tad too salty. Will definitely try out other items on the menu.

This dhaba is located near ballygunge circular road near Tivoli court building. The ambience here gives you a very much dhaba feel and is well decorated just like a usual dhaba. Staff here was quite helpful as this was my first visit here. Coming to the food, the dish ordered was-<br/>1. Chicken tikka lasooni - cubes of chicken marinated with garlic paste and spice this starter are good for spicy lovers.<br/><br/>2. Mutton Seekh kebab - This was also good but the mutton pieces were a bit stiff than usual.<br/><br/>3. Mutton Rogan Josh - With the typical dhaba feel and taste this spicy mutton rogan josh was really a favourite and went really well with garlic naan! Must try.<br/><br/>4. Chicken Lababdar - Served in a really unique bowl, this preparation tasted well with a tinge of tomato and other spices.<br/><br/>5. Jhal wali dal - This was not as good as i expected. It lacked salt in it and was not properly cooked.<br/><br/>6. Garlic naan , mirchi wali roti , lachha parantha - Among these garlic naan tasted the best followed by mirchi wali roti.<br/><br/>7. Soda Shikanji - A dhaba must refresher soda shikanji is always a favourite.

I visited this place with my family....this is a nice place specially kids love to take photos with the tractor... entering this place like you are in a pure dhaba....it has a ambience which is similar to dhaba ....I really like the smell of the air of the restaurant cause it's the smell of the "kababs" so I really enjoyed that time...and it make me hungry...<br/><br/>We ordered , Hariyali chicken kabab & chicken malai kabab for the starter....I really like the green chatni cause I love it....then we ate butter nan & paneer kulcha with Chicken tikka butter masala &one Kolkata biriyani for the main course....at last firni it was good meal....I prefer the Hariyali kababs ,nan and chicken tikka butter masala..I really like the biriyani but it was very low in quantity...it is not enough for one person...it was a good day...the behaviour of the workers are so good...they took the pictures of us with the tractor....and they were well groomed also...we really liked everything<br/><br/>Food quality -4/5<br/>Food quantity-3.5/5<br/>Ambience-3.5/5<br/><br/>#recommended

During durga Puja it's hard to choose a place and have food. Because generally the quality of food geta degraded a lot due to the rush and crowd .<br/>But we have decided to go to RDBD and it was a good decision.<br/><br/>We had<br/>Mutton Biryani<br/>Chicken Biryani<br/>Butter Naan<br/>Chicken Butter Masala<br/>Firni<br/>and<br/>Hot gulap Jamun<br/><br/>Quality was extremely good.<br/>Food was tasty af.<br/>Service was also promt.<br/>Value for money.<br/><br/>Good placr for north Indian food lovers.<br/>HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ✌🏻

One of the worst tasting food I have had in a long time.<br/>I took my family out for dinner and what an embarrassment it was. Never ever again visiting this dhaba.<br/>

we ordered butter chicken full and rarra mutton along with masala kulcha and butter naan..during puja it was too much overpriced than normal..thats not fair, prices may vary but limited options with 50 rupees extra per main dish is too much..butter naan was like papad..hardly 5 to 6 customers are there but staffs were very busy for no reason..they served water at first..after that its your headache..our bill was around 1350.. quantity and taste was not upto the average mark, also careless behavior with too much prices..only thing was that the ambience, its very good..
Akanksha Ghoshal
We were told that the paneer butter masala would be bland due to the white gravy, which was expected. However this dish was unlike what we've had anywhere. Bland does not mean tasteless. <br/>As for the daal makhani, which is supposed to be their speciality, no salt no taste again. We asked them to take it back to the chef and make it better. The dish that came next was edible but still a letdown. <br/>The soda shikanji was great and the Indian breads above average. <br/>Great attorney at interiors and service was absolutely delightful.

The perfect food joint for midnight mongers. You will get the feel of eating in an authentic dhaba. We had butter tandoori roti, dilli ka butter chicken, mutton rogan josh with fresh lime soda. The quantity and quality both was good. Highly recommended if you like north indian food.

Very nice service .I recently visited its ballygunge branch.we took tandoori chicken first. It was just wowwww.Then ordered for butter tandoori roti with mutton kasa, mutton rara and basanti dal makhani.....every item was just great..the pieces of rara mutton were somewhat bony so I just told them that, they immediately replaced my pieces of mutton with fresh ones....really appreciate your service.
Rishav Jaiswal
I ordered butter paneer and rumali roti via swiggy... paneer was good but instead of rumali roti theu served me some pathetic left over chapati of someone. How can rang de basanti being such a big brand do this kind of a mistake that too purposely . This chapati can easily be seen and understood that it is someones leftover. Thumbs down to RDBD .. not expected.
Reswati Biswas
I have taken Tanduri roti and Garlic naan along with Kadai chicken. The rotis were soft but it was not so warm... The chicken was very tasty and spicy. At last i took their sweet lassi. Ir was very thick and well balanced.. Rang de basanti dhaba is a good pocket friendly restaurant. The staffs were very well behaved. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried their chicken biriyani and panner makhni as the name mentioned they prepare all the food dhaba style, chicken biriyani quantity was enough for one person and chicken piece was big enough panner makhni was little bit oily but it's ok,sure I will try their other dishes

Ambience and food taste is great. The interior is based on dhaba type only.<br/>But the quantity of the food is quite less as compared to the price charged. Service is fine. Good place to go for family dinner.

Located on Tagore road, it is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner.<br/>The decor is wonderful and I love how spacious it is.<br/><br/>I went there for lunch.<br/>My orders were -<br/>1. Dahi ke Kebab - 5/5 It's drool worthy. Trust me.<br/>2. Paneer Butter Masala - 4/5 . It could have been more flavourful. The quality of the paneer was great !<br/>3. Garlic Naan and Butter Naan - 3.5/5 . I am a slow eater and had to fidget with my butter naan as it had turned into a piece of hard cardboard. :(<br/><br/>Service is great and the price is reasonable. (A teeny tiny bit on the higher side for middle class broke af students like me . )<br/><br/>100% recommend.

Been there last year on December on a lazy afternoon. We were only focused to get a complete meal, that's it.<br/><br/>The place was easy to reach with the help of google maps and was also easy to spot with the eye catchy logo. The ambience was also pretty soothing with good music and funny quotations on the wall. But the main attractive point was the traditional tractor model right in the middle of the restaurant.<br/><br/>So coming to the food, we had Dahi ke Kebab, Chicken Lababdar, Classic Mix veg and for breads we had Garlic Naan and Masala Kulchas. The prices were quite reasonable. The food arrived pretty much on time. The staff were also courteous. TBH, all of the dishes tasted good enough. We had no complains. Overall, it was a good experience and we were satisfied. Recommended!

The worst place ever with the worst attitude of waiters and the shittiest food. They don’t have any decency and have no clue why they are into the service business. Their manager is clueless about what’s going on and is a total nut cracker who is on the verge of getting beaten by the customers but still doesn’t drops his mediocre arrogance. The owner should re think about running this piece of pathetic restaurant chain. Also if you order vegetarian dishes they serve non veg and ask you to be cool with it. Next time you are up there make sure to have a talk with their manager who goes by the name of Nandan and ask about their dumb owner Mr. Maheshwari

The quality of this place ever since I have known about it has been degrading like anything. The food quality was anways going down coupled with bad service attitudes and incompetence is for sure not the experience I expected.<br/>On August 18, 2019 me and 3 of my friends had gone for dinner at this place expecting a decent meal as it was already late. We ordered a daal and a paneer tikka masala which we reconfirmed and told it loud and clear twice to them. The food arrived and it was chicken tikka masala. Now mind it, out of the four of us 2 were jains and I being a staunch Vegetarian, this came as such a shocker. What came next was altogether abysmal and distasteful. We called for the manager as we wanted to discuss this at length with him but he did not consider this matter serious enough so he sent one of his junior executives to deal with it. The executive had the approach as though nothing has happened and we will just replace the food and that would suffice. Clearly they were in complete denial of the blunder they had committed. We had to shout, wait for good 20-25 mins to get the mighty manager Mr. Nandan, out of the office and come and meet us.<br/>The arrogance of this man knew no bounds and his precise response was "So what sir, we are replacing the meal for you!" While it should have been "Sorry" to begin with. After a long discussion and a heated argument we had to leave the restaurant with a horrendous experience with no compensation or a recourse for such an ill-treatment. The manager refused to connect us to any immediate superior as he himself was at the pinnacle of his incompetence to take any decision so as to bring to a closure.<br/>This was not the first time that there was such a grave mistake done by the staff here. My friends who happened to visit the sector V outlet of the restaurant told me that they had found a stapler pin in their meal and again the restaurant staff did not offer any recourse to them for this grave mistake. I don't even think this place is safe enough for families to go and have a decent square meal. NOT EVEN IF THIS IS THE LAST PLACE IN KOLKATA OFFERING TO FEED YOU IN DIRE EMERGENCIES. Severly dissatisfied and horrified. The one star is only out of need, as to give any stars there must be some likeability aspect to a place which it did not have.

You need to maintain your taste every single day.<br/>Few months ago I had a butter chicken which was sweet in taste but today the butter chicken was absolutely fine.It was well balanced in terms of taste, sweetness, creaminess.<br/>The chicken kosha was also delicious. It was spicy and tasted great with naan.<br/>Only one thing I want to mention is please maintain the taste of the food.I would love to visit this place again if I get that same taste.
Prateek Malpani
Had visited the restaurant. The chef has changed and there quality. Dhai ke kabab was really bad not the same as it used to be. The chutney was really watery . Paneer Tikka was hard. Would request them to keep check on the food quality and preparation.

I like their biryani because I don’t feel heavy at all after consuming it. The only complaint I have is that the quantity is less. Also the staff needs to be proactive. The waiters have a unique dress code which I love :)

This place is as pocket friendly as it can be expected out of a dhaba come restaurant. With the usage of zomato gold, the prices reduced further. The overall experience was good, the food was quite nice and even the staff were friendly. There was no waiting time and we got the table immediately upon arrival

We had a very good dining experience over here. The ambience is very good and the staffs are very polite and cooperative..they made us feel at home..went there with maa..it was crowded...it was already 2 PM..so the tables were almost full..the waiters were very busy..initially we found the service a little slow...but later they served promptly..we ordered Tandoori chicken, RDBD Chicken Bharta Harimirch roti and masala Kulcha..the tandoori chicken is a must try here...excellent..tender chicken pieces..loved the smoky flavor...chicken bharta was average...Masala kulchas are nice...hari mirch roti is okayish.. special mention..loved to sit on the tractor...recommendable 👍

I visited this place a week ago ....the location was easy to find .as usual a tractor was seen by entering the restaurant.we ordered<br/>1) chicken malai kabab -- i dont like it (3/5)<br/>2) chicken hariyali kabab -- it was awesome (5/5)<br/>3) kolkata chicken biriyani --it was good too but vey less in quantity (4/5).<br/>4) chicken tikka butter masala (4/5)<br/>5)butter nun (4/5)<br/>6) paneer kulcha (3.5/5)<br/>7) keshar firni --- it was good but i felt it is overpriced i mean the price is higher than arsalan like restaurants but not that difference in taste.<br/>The staffs were pretty good .they were frank and happy to help ,good service by them. I visited this outlet and tried the ongoing monsoon menu, I found it to be very interesting. <br/>This menu had the following items!<br/><br/>Mumbaiya Tawa Biryani - This is a very different sort of biryani, unlike typical Kolkata biryani, this biryani comes in two variants: Veg and Chicken. The taste is very different and the masala kicks in very strong and gives an extravaganza feel to your taste buds.( Serves with raita ) <br/><br/>Pav Bhaji- Mumbai is incomplete without its beaches and Pav Bhaji. Nothing beats the feeling of having succulent Pav Bhaji by the sea. <br/><br/>Chowpatty Pav Bhaji- Chowpatty in Mumbai is known for its Pav Bhaji, this dish is a veg one. <br/><br/>Borivali Keema Pav Bhaji- Nothing beats monsoon idleness than some delicious Keema Pav Bhaji. This is a non-veg variant. <br/><br/>Kulfi Faluda- Mumbai has been known for its street kulfis and Rang De Basanti has done justice to the menu by bringing this dish for sweet-tooth folks.<br/><br/>Overall this menu is quite interesting to try and definitely worth giving it a shot instead of going for the generic dishes this monsoon season.<br/><br/>I would recommend this menu and the following are the dishes I would highly recommend<br/><br/>Mumbaiya Tawa Biryani - chicken.<br/><br/>Borivali Keema Pav Bhaji <br/><br/>Kulfi Faluda.

Rang De Basanti Dhaba has been my favourite since a very long time. I have visited the Ruby outlet quite a number of times. This was my first time in the Ballygunge outlet. It gives you a dhaba feel from the moment you enter it. The decor is beautiful and seating space is huge. It’s always crowded whenever I have visited. <br/><br/>Recently I visited Rang De Basanti Dhaba to attend their “ Mumbaiya Monsoon Festival “. It has begun from the 25th July and will be continuing for around a month. As the name suggests the food is based mainly on Mumbai’s food. They are priced moderately. <br/><br/>It consists of <br/><br/>1) Chowpatty Pav Bhaji — With it’s name derived from Juhu Chowpatty this is the common Pav bhaji we regularly eat in any nearby stalls. The only difference was it was less spicy compared to the ones in the street. Priced at Rs 140/- <br/><br/>2) Borivali Keema Pav — Well honestly this was the first time I tried Keema Pav after I had been suggested by a lot of my friends. It’s definitely a must have for the die-hard non-vegetarians however I preferred the classic one more personally. It was priced at Rs 160/- <br/><br/>3) Mumbaiya Tawa Biriyani — Nothing much to say about it. It’s definitely different from our Kolkata biriyani which we are used to. It was flavourful and quite interesting. It was accompanied by with Raita. This was again of two types <br/><br/>i ) Vegetarian — It’s made for the vegetarians who don’t eat any form of meat. There was small chunks of cottage cheese inside it, garnished with caramelised onions and coriander. It was priced at Rs 190/- <br/><br/>ii ) Non- Vegetarian — It was quite similar to the former one. The only major difference was that it has small boneless chicken pieces inside it. They were properly cooked and flavourful. It was priced at Rs 245/-<br/><br/>4) Kulfi Faluda — Whenever we talk about Mumbai we can’t miss out on Kulfi with Falooda to end our meal. The Kulfi was Kesar pista flavoured which was topped with rose syrup and falooda and served in small glasses. Priced at Rs 130/- <br/><br/>The Mumbaiya Monsoon Festival is continuing for a month in all the four outlets and the entire menu will be available there. So definitely go any nearby outlet specially to try out this Newly launched menu.

This place is crazy. There is a tractor to welcome you, of course without driver and guess what? It has a cot hanging on top of it. Brilliant!<br/>I am sure even after eating food their I don't get why they named their restaurant "Rang De Basanti". There is nothing patriotic about eating here though.<br/><br/>One thing which stood out was simple and complete menu and the fact that prices were real and really reasonable. Two people can have Fish, Meat and Chicken/Eggs to their fill for less than Rs 1,000/-<br/><br/>To say the quality was A++ for its price won't be an understatement. This quantity and this quality in any 5 star would have cost at least 4X.<br/><br/>Fish Tikka - 5/5<br/>Meat Seekh Kababa 5/5<br/>Egg Curry (3 Eggs) 5/5<br/>Roti - Well done 5/5<br/><br/>I am not too generous with my ratings but when it comes to real deserving I don't hesitate.

When it comes to take a chill in a restaurant without making a big hit on your pocket then I will put my bet on the Dhabas. With Dhaba culture taking over the city, there is no doubt one of the biggest players in the game will stay back, Rang De Basanti Dhaba has been expanding in a great way to reach out to food lovers who can hog some good quality North Indian food. 😊<br/><br/> "Rang De Basanti Dhaba" shows the rang or u can say colours in their foods. When it comes to authentic Punjabi food, this place never fails to impress me. RBD offers you the authentic Northern Cuisine in a feasible suitings. Rang De Basanti Dhaba has grown to be a pretty familiar name when it comes to Dhaba style food in the City of Joy and is mainly known for serving quality North Indian Cuisine in an environment that resembles a traditional Dhaba but with a more modern and luxurious twist to it.<br/><br/>I was craving some Dhaba style North Indian food after so many days then RBD was the option that popped my head so decided to visit their Ballygunge outlet with my family. 😍<br/><br/>▶ Location: This oulet of Rang De Basanti Dhaba is located on the Ballygunge circular road just e few metres away from Azad Hind Dhaba, Ballygunge.<br/><br/>▶Ambience/Décor/Service: Speaking of Ambience, the place is Dhaba themed like the other two outlets of RBD. This is the third outlet that I have visited, and the decor and the vibe of this place is like those of the other two outlets. The Dhaba has a backdrop of red and yellow walls decorated with quirky pictures and one liner that adds to the fun quotient. The seating arrangement is kept very basic with benches and chairs in yellow. The large tractor in the middle of the restaurant remains the main attraction here as well. The tractor stands in the middle and makes for a selfie stop for visitors ❤. This place reminds me of Punjabi lifestyle. The funny quotes on the wall, the tractor in the entrance area all gives a Punjabi Dhaba feeling. It is well spaced as well though probably being the smallest outlet from the lot. Here the seats for both small and large groups are all spacious and comfortable. Service is excellent here. All the staffs were very courteous & polite.<br/><br/>▶ Now, coming to the food, who doesn't live North Indian Cuisine, right?<br/><br/>They have variety of options in the North Indian cuisine. All the items were just lip-smacking. We had ordered:<br/><br/>🥂 Drinks 🍹<br/><br/>🔸 to quench our thirst, we opted for some desi beverages,<br/><br/>⚜️ Goli Soda Sikanji-The Sikanji was well prepared with a perfect balance of all ingredients<br/><br/>❤ Main Course🍗<br/><br/>🔸 Moving on to the Main Course:<br/><br/>⚜️ Tandoori Roti-Perfect Dhaba Wala Roti which can be tried with any gravy item.<br/><br/>⚜️ Butter Naan-There is nothing special with the naan apart from being thin like feather. But here's the twist when it is combined with paneer or chicken gravy it feels so delicious and amazing to taste. It is great combination.<br/><br/>⚜️ Dilli ka Paneer Makhani- It was a quite delicious. It did not disappointed me at all. Paneer size was perfect. Goes best with Butter Naan.<br/><br/>⚜️ Rarra Mutton-If you are in search of some Rich Authentic North Indian spicy dish, then this one meets your requirement. The soft mutton cooked in the minced mutton keema had a lot of butter in it and is not for the faint hearted. Goes best with Tandoori Roti.<br/><br/>All the items were delicious, and quality was extremely amazing. It was totally worth the price. This is one of the best Dhaba-style restaurants of the city. Visit here and you'll sure have a Dhaba feeling accompanied by their mouthwatering North Indian dishes.<br/><br/>💰Pinch for two is ₹ 800.If you have Zomato Gold, then you can avail 1+1 Food offer here.<br/><br/>▶Overall: - Overall, I am really very impressed with the place. The name defines the whole place. Here the food is offered at affordable prices with amazing taste which is typically expected of a Dhaba. This restaurant is one of the best places to have Dhaba style North Indian food in Kolkata. Highly Recommended place to all❤ Looking forward to my next visit to this place soon ❤👌

The food is awesome . Interior is very good. Idea of Traditional style of plate and glass is superb. The only problem is quantity but because of so good quality we can compromise with quantity.
_bhojon_balikas
The decor and ambience is a simple one yet completely justifies the name! We ordered:<br/><br/>Butter naan (4/5): Tasted great but could have been softer!<br/><br/>Rarra mutton (5/5): Highly recommended! Do have this if you visit RDB!<br/><br/>Dal Makhani (4/5): I chose to have this after seeing all the recommendations. Everyone kind of said its great. But personally, I felt it less salty. It tasted pale.<br/><br/>Lassi (5/5): Highly recommended! It's amazing!<br/><br/>Kesari Firni (5/5): It's a must try as well!<br/><br/>Overall, a nice experience and would surely visit again to try out the other items!

It gives a perfect dhaba wala feel and the lipsmacking food will give you a pure Punjabi feel for sure. It's not a fine dining place but I can assure that the food will definitely not let you down .
Shruti
Super good food. Have been to this place a lot of times. The dal makhani and sev tamatar is a must have . You can access to zomato gold also at this place .
Rajbinder Kaur
This place is quite poorly managed. Booked my table well in advance, but had to wait for it after reaching the outlet on time. Coming to the food, we ordered Chicken Lababdar and Chicken Tikka Butter Masala, along with Tandoori Roti, the taste being top notch, the quantity was not sufficient at all for the price they charge. The ambience provides the perfect setting for a North Indian restaurant and the staff was polite.
Sushmita Singh
Honestly fall in love with this place and it's food.<br/>Amazing dahi kabab never had anywhere else, chicken lababdar and mainly visited for methi mushrooms with butter, bhayankar kola was not at all bhayankar 😂 but service also remarkable of Mr. Barun served very well keep on checking with our requirements. Was very hungry so clicked picture atlast.

Was a great fan of RDB, I was, now no more a fan at least. as in past couple of months, for more than 5-6 visits at ballygunge outlet food as well as service was a complete let down, staff are courteous and ambience is attractive, but food is detoriating. Sec V outlet is still a go, but I stay at Bhowanipore and Ballygunge outlet is close to me.

Food was very delicious and pocket friendly. Atmosphere was excellent. Waiters were very friendly.Enjoyed with friends. Recommend completely. Hv a great day

Good place with a nice ambience..We went here for dinner and had a booked a table from dineout..we ordered paneer khulcha, butter nun, chicken bharta, butter chicken, mutton biriyani and chicken chawal..Butter chicken and biriyani was good whereas chicken bharta and chicken chawal was okayish..The only bad thing was the service was slow..We had to sit for 15 minutes to just place the order but the staffs were courteous..
Gaurav Poddar
Food quality not good. Service and ambience is good. But overall taste and quality poor. Valet is available. As a franchise should maintain same taste everywhere.
Zainab Khatoon
Quality of the food was good. But perhaps because i used zomato gold this time the type of chicken pieces and quantity they give was not the same what we ate before. Zomato should definitely look into this matter.
Raj Dey
Probably this is the only RDBD outlet, whose behaviour is substandard. They serve butter chicken on ordering for tikka masala, had a not so overwhelming experience here, would prefer the sec v RDBF any day!
Rajarshi
I had ordered ghee roast chicken and tandoori roti from this restaurant. Really disappointed with their taste and quantity. The chicken didn't seem to have even a drop of ghee in it, surprisingly found a lot of curry leaves in it, excessive salt was added to taste. I had ordered full dish and the quantity was not enough for a single person, each piece was not even half of normal sized pieces. Most probably my first and last order here, these people think they can fool customers again and again.
Rashmoni Sarkar
Don't go by the name, unlike the movie this restaurant is super flop. Ambience 5/5, hygiene 4/5,food 1/5, staffs 3/5. Visited with family n friends for my birthday lunch, got embarrassed n highly disappointed. Surprised how they run 4 outlets!
Tejas Rupani
Very good place and food too. Courteous staff as well.<br/>People should really visit this place. Nice ambience and healthy and hygiene food is being provided.
