Review Second House Restaurant - Kolkata (Calcutta)

This is a general level hotel and have a bar cum restaurant. Its priced in a medium rate with costly bar. I understand that the servicing in the hotel is not up to the mark. There is delayed service and denials also. This Hotel is located in very centrally located place called Lake Market on the otherside Kalighat Metro station and all the important roads are surrounding the place . Food is average and people are soft spoken decent behaving. Wo, the overall experience is so so. Thanks.

The food was delicious. Had a couple of drinks very affordable. The location is bit tricky its best if you cross lake mall towards rashbehari then the lane before rash behari crossing go straight you will see a "transit hotel" from there left.

Had gone there for the dinner which was a wonderful experience. The regular Chinese dishes have been created by them having a different but very nice variation. The portions were sufficient and pricing reasonable. The decor needs a slight facelift as few things were looking worn, barring that the other factors like music and service were extremely nice, making the ambience very comfortable and nice. Overall a very good experience, which can definitely be repeated again.

We basically visited the restaurant here, really good experience, the service was excellent, on cancellation and exchange of order they fully cooperated with us, besides all these the ambience was also pretty good and the food was cooked to perfection, prices were also very reasonable, overall a nice place to visit with friends. And as we visited during the on going ODI world up we saw that they were also showing the matches through Tvs there, really amazing!

This is a quite standard Hotel for accomodation with fooding and refreshments. This place is excellently located and the staffs are truly very helpfull and decent. The only issue is in the restaurant they dont serve Bengaly Cuisines which otherwise available in case of group orders. Overall food quality is good. Cost wise little higher it feels.Thanks.

It has a restaurant, guest rooms, and a banquet area for events like weddings and parties all in one. situated in close proximity to the Lake Market. We went there for Durga Puja. The large reception area is ideal for those who are photogenic. Additionally, they gave the guests who were waiting at Launge free water service. We had to wait for almost two and a half hours during our visit to Durga Puja, which was quite unexpected. Even so, the manager's behavior is excellent. Finally, we were given our spot. The also has a buffet system and has dedicated hookah space for hookah lovers and varieties of drinks available at an affordable cost that's the speciality of the Second House. So we feed our tummies with: • Chicken Dak Banglow • Chicken Kosha • Chili Fish Dry • Masala Kulcha • Mughlai Ghost Biriyani • Carlsberg Smooth Premium • Johnnie Walker Black Label Each and every taste was really good. Must visit place.

Really cool neon lighting. Friendly staff. Lady usher keeps asking about the comfort of lady guests giving a sense of security. Food is very good. Alcohol is inexpensive.

We went for a family dinner. The service and staff behavior is very good. The menu is pocket friendly. Hope they keep up the good work.

Went to restaurant.food n service is good .but they don't allow to seat in a table when one goes alone even if restaurant is empty.this thing should be changed

Second House 📍 14, Sardar Shankar Rd, Lake Market, Kalighat, Kolkata, West Bengal 700026 I visited this restaurant on my friends recommendation and really loved the place. I went there at around 10:45 and got a table instantly. Ambience was good and the crowd was decent. We had had a few drinks and some food. Drinks were insanely affordable compared to the ambience they were providing and the food was the best part of this place. Food was really good with and reasonably priced. We ordered Full tandoori chicken- Well marinated has a great smoky flavour chicken was fresh. Butter naan and missi roti- Was served fresh and piping hot. Chicken Lababdar- A must try. This dish made my evening. Chicken was tender gravy was rich and buttery. Loved it. Overall this place was a hit for me and i am going back again.

Beautiful place . The ambience is superb and the staff can not even describe how good and polite they are . They are always ready to serve you with a smile and no irritation at all . You get 24 hours service . My wedding was held here in the month of November . We stayed here for 5 days and all the functions were arranged here . I am very happy with the staffs and the arrangements . It was also very budget friendly and the FOOD guys you have to try their food . The food is delicious trust my words . Every guest who attended the wedding appreciated the taste of the food . Please give this place a try you wont regret 😌

Very nice place. Visited the Bar & Restaurant on the first floor. Located behind lake mall, nearest to Kalighat metro station and rashbehari auto 🛺 and bus stand. Reasonable prices for both Liquor and food, prompt service and nice ambience with large screen to watch the IPL. No idea about rooms as of now. There is parking space outside the property.

I went to their restaurant and it was an amazing experience. Really value for money. Happy hour offers are unbeatable. I am happy with the service and quality of food. I will recommend, a good place to hangout with friends.
