It's a small restaurant opposite of Technopolis Mall..But the food quality is good and also the behaviour of the staff is decent...

Was good and simple, now seems a bit down. The Biriyani was testy but barely warm, now who doesn't love pipeing hot chicken Biriyani. The tandoori chicken masala was simple delicious. I was a bit worried about the 'rotten meat' issue, but I guess I am greedy 😉, but to me the food never felt or tested bad. Also the staff seems to be a little disinterested or I would say unhappy. Probably the very next day is 'Eid al-Fitr' and they are stuck in work. It felt bad... All in all I would rate it 2 star in 5 star, where 5 is the highest. Thanks for reading...

Food quality is good , prices are economic . I recommend to try out the kebabs here , they are especially good .

I love kebabs and biriyani, so this is one of my favourite restaurants to order kebabs and chicken tangri biriyani. Their biriyani rice is incredibly soft and moist. The prices are also reasonable. Simply go for it.

Good place for having mughlai food. Very delicious and affordable.

<br/>- Ordered Chicken Roll which costs Rs 55 but there was only 3-4 pieces of broken chicken and rest all consisting of capsucum onion , green chilli and excessive sauce. <br/><br/>- Veg chowmien - packed in a white container but was not good, very oily, less salt content .Taste was good. First time,had a lot of positive reviews but today was the first time I ordered and it was Chicken Biryani which was below average with not so succulent pieces and quite small for an average!<br/>Also there was Garlic Naan which only smelt of garlic otherwise there was nothing garlic about it and the Reshmi Chicken was decent and smelt good too!!<br/>But it wasnt good enough for a recall!!<br/>But overall,okayish food!!

This place would have got a perfect five had it not been for few very important reasons. Just situated beside Azad hind dhaba opposite technopolis; you might just miss it out as a local biriyani shop. But wait n have a look. They make amazing chicken lahsooni kebabs. And their Peshawari tandoori chicken is absolutely good. The pricing is decent wen compared to the quantity. Now the problems I faced:- 1. I ordered food for about 2-3 times in a week. Two times I found a long hair of some woman inside the kebab. 2. On another incident the onions they had sent was so pathetically smelling; might have been that it was summers and they had cut it and kept since morning. But guys u r great on taste but bad on hygiene.

Value for money biriyani for takeout purpose. We order from this plus at office. Never disappointed. Dont expect a superlative biriyani. Delivery is prompt.

Their biryani does not come cheap - however neither the look or feel nor the taste justifies that price tag.<br/><br/>Don't get me wrong, their biryani is not bad. I would not refuse a plate of haji ali biryani, however, at the same time, I must confess, I have had much better Kolkata biryanis for under Rs 100.<br/><br/>The food is packed in paper packets with rubber bands. Because of the oil/ghee in the biryani the packet turns oily to touch after a while although it has a inner plastic lining. Also, they do not provide spoons.<br/><br/>The taste of rice is good and the potatoes are cooked very well. However, the chicken was a let down. The chicken was overcooked and became almost as tough as a gummy bear. I did not enjoy the chicken.<br/><br/>An okay restaurant. Do not reccomended.

Food Quality is quiet good. Oil in the food is quiet less unlike the other mughlai food. Biriyani, Chicken Kasha are quiet recommendable. Quiet a good place to get your food at home

Food from Haji Ali is quite good. I have ordered a few times. They includes Chicken Tikka Kebab, Crispy Chilli Chicken , Mutton Biryani and Chicken Kolhapuri over multiple occasions . Food quantity and taste were good enough. Getting food home delivered is more preferable than going to restaurant .

Moglai food is amazing.. Their speciality, special cheese chicken malai kabab is just yummy. I love their biryani and other chicken main course dishes.

Haji Ali, who is also on the major league of Biriyani sellers in the city of joy,  has earned a reputable name over the years.Been there with my couple of friends sorry to say but it pains me to say that, The rice in the Chicken Biriyani was not cooked or rather say boiled properly, They should improve the quality of their food.

It was sudden plan to have dinner outside and couldn't find any place to eat except this one as it was very late. Didn't except much from this restaurant seeing the decour but to my surprise they make awesome mouth watering biriyani and reshmi butter masala. They really serve awesome food but with bad service.

I have ordered Kadai Chicken. I like the taste, but portion is less. And they charge packaging charges for giving this non-food grade plastic.Please charge cost food-grade plastic bowl and serve with that.<br/><br/>All the best.

Got this Mutton Biriyani applying a super deal in Swiggy. Quality of rice and mutton was good and so was the quality. Order from here if you have no better option.

Home delivered some Mutton Biryani on Independence day for just Rs 72 from this place.They did not scimp on the quantity and provided proper full packet for the offer price.The taste was not overwhelming and lacked that 'biryani flavour'.The mutton was a big sized piece but again tough and not that flavourful.The potato was the best part of all,nice and sweet and properly cooked.

Have ordered a couple of times from here. Once i ordered veg biryani and raita combo. Quantity was very good. Quality is good but could be better. Then i ordered fried rice and chilli chicken combo. Quantity of chicken was a bit less. Quantity of rice was good. Again quality could have been better. But overall it is a good place to order food from. Avoid eating in the restaurant as it is small and ambience is poor.

Pathetic service by Hazi Ali ordered 29 chicken biryani from TCS GP, even they forget to give chicken and eggs in few packets and spoiled our team lunch party even we informed them but they did not take any action in this matter. Forget bulk order from TCS. We share your feedback with everyone.

Had ordered chicken biryani and chicken hariyali kebab. <br/>Biryani’s taste was moderate, I found it a little bit dry. Chicken pieces were really nice, well cooked and tender.<br/>The hariyali kebab was tasty , the mint chutney was good, enhanced the taste of the kebabs.

Good food in pocket friendly budget. Nice food packaging but not ideal for dine in. Best part is that they serves late night after 11PM also. Should provide washroom facility and increase the space of restaurant

we ordered butter nun. dal makhani. chicken bharta. mutton korma with egg. the food quality was average. half the nuns were not buttered. and most of the mutton curry was actually oil. would not reccomend to anyone.

Sadly, Haji Ali left me disappointed with the taste. It seems over few months, the quality or rather say the taste of Haji Ali has gone down.<br/><br/>The rice in the Chicken Biriyani was not cooked or rather say boiled properly, as while eating I felt like the rice pieces are getting stuck down my throat, meaning, it was difficult to chew or swallow. Also there was only subtle hint of Biriyani essence in it, I mostly felt like chewing on unflavored and uncooked rice.<br/><br/>The chicken in the Biriyani were once again not cooked properly, as it was too hard and was difficult to chew or swallow. Also it felt like someone was cooked the Biriyani in a haste, as the Biriyani masala hasn't seeped inside the chicken pieces.<br/><br/>Only the Chicken tandoori was a decent one, which was smoked, grilled and cooked in a proper manner. But once again, chicken pieces were not that tender and it was hard to chew or swallow. <br/><br/>As a result, I won't recommend this place to anyone. But if you want to try their other delicacies other than Biriyani, then you should.

Today, I ordered 2 mutton biryani and 1 Mutton Pasinda. This is the first time, I ordered from this joint as I wanted to try the joint. Let me tell you users I was very disappointed. The biryani was full of dalda and the mutton was smelly . Even the potato was undercooked , and low quality potato was used. Now coming back to Mutton Pasinda which is a very famous dish in mughal cuisine and most of the restaurant prepares it well. The Pasinda was not like the contemporary Pasinda where we get shredded mutton. however , here the Pasinda dish was not actually Pasinda. It was full of oil n the mutton were in small pieces with bones , where as in Pasinda there shouldn't be any bone and it didn't taste good. Considering the price I will not recommend this dish. Disappointed with the food quality.

After searching many restaurants for North Indian food and it doesn't disappointed us. Food is just yum. We ordered Murg malai tikka,Methi Malai Murg and Mutton do pyaza.... Methi malai Murg is a must who love not so spicy food but methi is giving an extraordinary taste. Utterly tasteless food. Went with 4 friends . Ordered dal makhani , a mutton dish , a chicken dish , and paneer starter. All felt like food was stale. Service cant be worse than this place . Complete no for a visit at this place .

I had ordered Mutton Biriyani along with Mutton Ragan Josh.<br/>Mutton biriyani was good .  A real combination of spices and flavors. The biriyani mutton was cooked properly.<br/>But the mutton ragan josh was not upto the mark. It was totally full with oil. I had to drain the excess oil before eating. The taste was awful and oily food almost killed my appetite.

Ordered a couple of times through swiggy last week when i was in rajarhat. <br/>The biryani ( mutton ), rara meat, mutton kasha ( though its not really kasha ) are all well cooked - tasty and enjoyable. <br/>The egg dal tarka was average. <br/>Nawabi murg tikka was ok. <br/>Paneer tikka butter masala was also ok to good.<br/>The masala kulcha and laccha paratha(kolkata style maida laccha paratha) were good. The naans - cheese, garlic and butter - left much to be desired - rather poor quality.<br/>Rumali roti was also fine. <br/>So i would avoid naans here - other items are mostly reasonably nice - really like the biryani.

Worst resturant , today orderd the lunch they had given time to delivered at 1:30 but when we called they start arguguing with us. Avoid this outlet for any order.

Awesome food. I ordered Chicken Korma, Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan using Swiggy. The delivery was super fast may be because of the shorter distance.<br/><br/>For the first time my son loved a main course and enjoyed at most. We liked the garlic naan a lot. Cheese naan was OK but nothing extraordinary. Naan were quite lite and one can have 2 with standard appetite. I'm impressed. :)

Ordered Chicken Patiala, Kadai Chicken and Chicken Biryani Special along with Butter Naan. Great taste. Chicken Patiala was awesome. Naan was very soft. The biryani was beautifully made.

The place is not at all spacious. The taste was good though. Chicken biryani had sufficient rice, chicken,egg and potato. The Firni was delicious. Price is also on the affordable side. Service is a bit delayed but behaviour of staff is very polite.

The Chicken Reshmi kabab was super delicious. It was juicy and tender and the pieces were quite big. Compared to other restaurants like Arsalan, it's quite easy on the pocket. Also, the Tandoori chicken was yummy. If you're a chicken<br/> lover, you should give it a try and trust me you wouldn't be disappointed.

We all had hard drinks during the puja and were in the mood for some North Indian food, and a few of us wanted more drinks, so we went to our usual place which is BB's in sector 5. From there we went looking for food nearby. After visiting a few places, we ended up here. It's a small place, not the best in terms of space or decorations. First we ordered the tandoori chicken, which is surprisingly good! It was juicy and tender on the inside and had a perfectly smoky flavour on the crust, a rare treat! Sadly the same cannot be said about the Biryani though, it was tasty but it literally had oil dripping from it, which was a huge turn off.<br/> I would definitely recommend a plate of their tandoori chicken though.

Came here for dinner with a friend ! Ordered veg hot and sour soup and Schezwan noodles ! The soup was excellent but the noodles was average! Courteous staff and good ambience! But a large waiting time and limited options if you are trying veg !

Kolkata is a foodie's paradise. And this little(well not so little, I guess) paradise is right next to Technopolis.<br/>Coming to the food. Saying that it was really good , is just an understatement. I went to with my friend with the sole objective of having a really​ big plateful of some non-veg dish. We ordered tandoori and it was really well cooked.The meat was juicy and flavourable. It was tandoored (I think I invented a word right there) just perfect.<br/>The ambience is kinda so-so. Which is fine by me, as the sole reason to visit this place should be for the food.<br/>Surely going back there pretty soon.<br/>A little edit:<br/>The service was really quick and good.

Ordered food from this outlet for a group of 7-8persons. Quantity wise everything were pretty good, but when it comes to the taste, I have just one word - bad. Starters were over spicy, biriyani was overcooked. They should improve the quality of their food.

Its a small restaurant, placed just opposite to Technopolis in Sector V.<br/>The ambiance is okay types for an evening after the daily office grind for get-together.  <br/><br/>They've got a nice spread of both vegetarian and non vegetarian items.<br/>The quality and taste of food was okay. Should mention, quantity was generous.<br/> <br/>I love their Tandoori Chicken and Peshawari Chicken. Biryani is just average.<br/>All in all, a good place with okayish ambience, courteous staff and reasonably priced food. <br/><br/>However, I feel its more suitable for take away / home delivery rather than dine in there itself. I absolutely love this place. They serve such good food, with great quantity at a very reasonable price. The place may not be the best for dinning per say. But if you order it in you'll be amazed. Although the name suggests Indian mughlai dishes, their Chinese is quite good as well. There mixed fried rice is an absolute must. And biriyani is really well made, as a person who is sceptical about mutton outside home, their mutton biriyani never disappoints.

Decent place located opposite technopolis. The biryani is decently made. Pair it with tandoori chicken and it makes a decent meal. The place is not very big. But the staff are attentive and offer maybe not a 5-Star service but definitely not a 1-Star service as well. Reasonably priced. Good if you are in that area and are super hungry for Indian food.

This is a small restaurant in front of the technopolis in sector 5 of salt lake. Its more suitable for take away rather than dine in there itself. Coming on to the food quality , the kababs are alright . Best in there would be Tandoori Chicken and Peshawari Chicken. But in case you are looking for a good plate of biryani , dont get your expectations too high. The cost of chicken and mutton biryani here is less as compared to Arsalan and Aminia but the taste is no where near to the ones served there. The biryani served here at best tastes like a plate of rice that has been enhanced with  some local biryani masala. The aroma and the fragrance that you would expect from a good plate of biryani is missing here. Although the quantity served here is pretty good , it wont be worth it considering the quality....<br/><br/>All in All , this is a decent place for tandoori chicken , peshawari chicken and few other kabab cuisines for take away in case your home is nearby the restaurant....

I have visited this outlet two times. They served really amazing Biryani. Chicken items are really tasty. They serve Adequate amount of food Nd it's a very pocket friendly restaurant. One can visit twice, thrice,many times here.

Have ordered couple of times to deliver to office. Ýou need to make couple of follow up calls as they are not very organised for delivery. Briyani , chap , kebabs are good , not very oily neither too spicy. Price is reasonable and quantity really good.

The outlet has takeaway counter and an attached dining area. The dining area is quite small. Net capacity 26. But the area is small.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, the biriyani is good and the side dishes are also quite good. Approximately bills ₹500 for 2 people. 1 plate biriyani can serve 1 adult. But few side dishes have over quantity of food. Please consult before ordering. The double egg double chicken roll is my personal favourite. It's like a trance feeling. The rolls are priced from ₹40 to ₹80. Online order and order by the phone both are available.

Well, Sector 5 Saltlake never stops amusing me, especially with it’s wide array of restaurants and outlets – <br/><br/>And today, I discovered 1 more such – the Haji Ali. They are based somewhere nearby Technopolis and I ordered a meagre mixed vegetable main course for office delivery. I was glad to see the delivery being made in just half an hour or so! <br/><br/>Coming to food, the gravy went very well with the home based chapatis. Nice to see huge quantum of seasonal vegetables (peas, beans, cauliflower, carrots etc) instead of too much of modest potatoes in the main course. The texture was so nice and attractive that you can simply keep on staring and adoring the main course for hours. Quantity, along with food presentation as well as packing was superb and I definitely received my full Rs. 150 worth!<br/><br/>Cheers!

A place where you get tasty biryani at an affordable price. Home delivery is always better than dining. The taste of the food is indeed good for the price you pay 🙂

Had Mutton Biryani, Chicken Chanp and Firni. Good thing first. The Firni was AWESOME!! The CC was okay types with bit of an overdose of salt. I am still confused whether the MB was biryani or mutton rice. The rich aroma of biryani was completely missing. The taste was like any of those roadside biryani places which one can find all over the city. Quite disappointed.

I had biryani from this restaurant as it is near to my office. It's a good place with affordable price and situated opposite to technopolis. Side dishes are also good in taste.

This is a nice place for biriyani lovers. we ordered a takeaway. veg biriyani and chicken biriyani were nicely done. the chicken pieces were tender and juicy.

বাড়ি ফেরার পথে বেশ খিদে পেয়েছিল । ফলে গাড়ি থেকে নেমে মাটন বিরিয়ানি আর কড়াই চিকেন কিনি । বেশ গরম , টাটকা । এক ঘণ্টা পর খেলেও বেশ ভালই অভিজ্ঞতা বলতে হয় । খালি মাংসে চর্বি একটু বেশি লেগেছে ।

Haji ali is one of my favourite joint when i have biriyani craving.<br/><br/>I have tried chicken biriyani,peshwari tandoori chicken,murg kali mirch,haji ali spl cheese malai kebab,Haji ali spl tikka masala and hariyali Murg masala.<br/><br/>Food is really good .<br/><br/>Only negative thing is it delivers too late .

This is opposite to Martin Burn Business Park which is beside Technopolis Office Building. Ordered a number of times from Haji Ali. They delivered the foods home within 40 minutes. I loved the Dal Tarka & Paneer Butter Masala.<br/><br/>"CHUTNEY" where South Indian foods are available is adjacent to Haji Ali.<br/><br/>

Good food. The biryani is a bit oily but the taste is good. The kebabs are really nice. Overall, I'll say it is a nice little place.<br/>Cheers. :)

Also the quantity is more than enough for one. <br/>
