Review Food Palace Restaurant - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Not a great experience. The coffee served was not hot enough. The iced coffee was not adequate compared to the price they charge. The chicken quesadilla tasted bland. Minimal decor and satisfactory service but the food was a let down

Located near AJC Bose Road this American Style cafe and bakery is a great place to grab some quick bites in between some hearty conversations. The ambience is perfect for friends, couples or even people who need some creative jolt with their arts or screenplays. The food served here is a culmination of different cuisines in and around America. Coffee, Salads , Burgers etc are some of the regulars here. I ordered Chicken Tacos and Chicken Salad. The tacos were very tasty. The tortilla was soft and thin. Chicken and veggies were fresh. It was well complemented by the Pico de Gallo which gave the tacos an authentic Mexican savor. The Salad was Build your own salad and it was very good. The veggies, the grilled chicken breast and the ranch dressing was perfect altogether. A must visit cafe in South Kolkata for sure.

Located in the bylanes of Park Circus, 8th Day Cafe is a peace lovers haven. Serving English breakfast, falafel wraps, bagels, pizza, sandwiches, and a choicest range of egg preparations, the cafe is a great place to explore yummy breakfast and brunch options. Other than that, their big cookies, shakes and coffees make a tasty accompaniment. If you are travelling through Kolkata or visiting the City as a tourist, 8th Day Cafe should be on your list. It's a quaint cafe with great amount of food available. Good for breakfast lunch and supper ! The quantity of food is huge for a surprise!!! I had 1) 3layered tortilla . 2) Grants sandwich (looks like a bagel 🥯 ) 3) chicken burger 🍔 4) Red velvet cookie. Drinks i loved my 1) Mocha 2) Hazel nut latte 3) ice caramel macchiato. Prices are also reasonable ! Surprisingly all food tasted good and drinks up to the mark ! No wonder it got so many awards !!!!

Breakfast for dinner? I don't mind if someone serves me this!! I had a bagel sandwich, stuffed chicken omelette and mango shake. Everything was delicious. Especially the omelette. Now the ambience, it was nice... Small cozy and well decorated. The price is also reasonable.

Lovely place for an evening date or hangout with friends. Ambience is good. Ample options for hot and cold beverages. If you love sweet treats then this is the place to be. I recommend their salted caramel cupcake and cinnamon roll. Too delicious. The place is not hard to locate. It's near Kala Mandir. The staff are always smiling and friendly.

Very good food. Extremely helpful and considerate service and staff. Love the food and service here. Do try their Cinnamon Bun. Their baked products are fresh and tasty. Have tasted some of their salads too and they are fresh and delicious as well.

Great place to get a vibe of traditional Italian cafe. As soon as you enter you will be greeted by the heavenly fragrance of freshly ground coffee beans. Service by the staffs were very cordial. Espresso was good but milk steaming/preparation could have been better. Food was quite tasty and filling at a reasonable rate. They offer wide variety of cookies too.

One of my favourite cafes in town. Apart from a wide range of dishes and beverages, you also get to play many board games. The place is well lit and beautifully decorated as well. Absolutely love their cinnamon rolls. Definitely recommend the iced Vanilla latte.

This cafe located in AJC bose road, is a chain, with a number of other outlets in other parts of kolkata. The food tasted quite average. The drink i tried was good. If you want to enjoy some board games, you shall get those here.

Three words. More than lovely. The food that I ordered was amazing. French press, Caesar salad and chocolate shake and the cost blew me away. It was only Rs. 679 and my jaw dropped. Affordable but the quality was amazing and so were the staff. What motivates me to go again is the atmosphere. I was on the verge of finishing my novel sitting there. So calm! Also a lovely collection of books.

The best coffee in Calcutta. Cute place on a normal street. Nice and clean with great service. Very good range of food and all our selections flavoursome and value for money. Recommended fir breakfast or brunch.

The ambience is top notch, it's cozy and highly recommend for dates & small hangouts! Food is good but a bit overpriced (but it's a cafe so-); they have a great selection of board games (which we unfortunately didn't get to try out)... They even have a few shelves of books! PS : very picturesque & Instagramy if you're looking for that!!

Went there on a early morning for working. Cool environment, good coffee, good bagel sandwich.

It is a bit pricey but the atmosphere is pretty nice and the brownie affogato is a must try!!

This place is absolutely beautiful! It has comfortable wooden chairs and tables which give it a class! Ambiance is perfect for having a good day with a cup of tea or coffee Their bakery section is too good I must say! I tried their Choco chips cookies and a pesto chicken sandwich which was too good. The sandwich was terribly good.. And guess what their price rate is so reasonable. I just loved this place! If you want to have a good tea day with some excellent bakeries then do hit this place!

Has a lovely vibe for a date. Also a good place to sit and work at. There is mocha, Vietnamese cold coffee, that is tasty and now it has broadened their options in veg. Have the aunt kay cookie and also Focaccia sandwich.

My favourite place whenever i am in the mood for Hot Chocolate in Kolkata. Especially during winters. Board games, books, hot chocolate and a Cinnamon Bun makes the perfect combination. Do try their Cinnamon Bun & Hot Chocolate.
