Review Samrat Snacks - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Moubani
Good food under affordable price range. Spacious atmosphere, high amount of tables are available. Varieties of sweets are also available for desert or gifting purpose. Mocktails are also available (average taste) but the behaviour of the staffs are very helpful. The kulfi is the best one.
Avijit Das
An amazing food court where one can find a number of dishes of each of a different type and at really affordable prices. It is a go to place for people who love vegetarian food. Situated right at Exide More, it is at a strategic location to attract loads of customers, and one can seldom find this food court empty. Strongly recommended. must try
Jaydeep Chanda

Suvrajyoti Das
Very good place to eat breakfast/lunch/evening snacks/dinner. Reasonable price. Little problem for car/bike parking because it on the main road.
Ushashi Chakraborty
Perfect place for getting snacks, sweets or full meals. All the dishes are vegetarian here and the self serving system is quite well organised even though it takes a while to get the food. The quality as well as quantity of food is quite good. The prices are well within the budget and seating arrangement is ample. This is a perfect place to visit with family or friends.
sreya chatterjee
Great food, great ambiance, superb location. But the service was very bad. Few people in the counters than the crowd.
Aritra Dutta
One of the top most vegetarian restaurants in the city. If you visit Exide you need to visit this place. Options for breakfast, lunch, brunch, evening snacks or dinner are available. There is an intensive menu available for all your meal options. You can try chaats, vels, shakes, Chinese, Indian, snacks, kachoris, South Indian dishes, deserts, kulfis, and other lot of options too. It's a great place to spend some time with your family, friends or your loved ones.
Ananya Rath
The food was bland. Especially the fried rice they served with a Chinese combo meal. However the salad was pretty good.
Amrita Dhara
Food quality is awesome.....serving service is fast and better than other restaurants

So in love with every piece of Haldiram items. πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Especially their Raj-kachauri is mouth-watering! Every time I get to try their food items,I prefer this one first. Also tried the masala dosa and the ghee flavour in it was awesome πŸ‘πŸ» mouthwatering 🀀 And their cookies, the froot bite, in particular, is heaven ❀️ and do try their rabdi,if you haven't tried yet! It's a must have item.. πŸ˜‹

The food was delicious, and the menu had a diverse range of options. Haldirams is one of the oldest brand we all know it well , and with good food quality. I always prefer haldirams sweets and specially their chole bhature since my childhood days . I rated it more than 5 stars .
Dikshita
A perfect go-to place for the vegetarians. You get a lot of options, ranging from Indian to Chinese at quite affordable prices. The Chola is lip smacking. This place always remains crowded. Sometimes it's even difficult to find a table. Overall, great food experience. Recommended 10/10

It was sunday and I had my lunch in Haldirams. I ordered chhole batore with kesariya lassi (combo) of price 190 (including gst) The food was tasty especially the lassi. It was served with salad (onions mainly) .
Jazz Richh
Good taste.. Cholle bhature πŸ˜‹ One request please don't make the dahi vada too sweet..πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ˜ƒ

Tried their chicken cutlet few days ago
And really they deserve 5* because their food is awesome and as snacks item their cutlet was really good which I tried
A big piece of chicken fried with good chicken piece and some spices
An it's at very reasonable price
Would love to order from this place again 😍

After relocated to my new office. I tried mutton biryani from Samrat as it is very near my office. Samrat is mainly a take away counter with no seating arrangement. If you want seat you have to take a chair and seat outside the joint. Location wise it's on the main Lords 4 points connector. I ordered only half plate of mutton biryani, which consists of 1 soft succulent small mutton piece , 1 boiled egg and a potato. Biryani is overall very average, just like a roadside biryani stall. I felt quantity was somehow lesser than other joints. Though mutton was perfectly cooked and very soft. Next time will try something else.
Natasha Sengupta
Budget friendly , fast service, free home delivery. Recently tawa roti was introduced and thats an added point. Highly recommended for both Veg and Non veg dishes. Can sit on the bench andceat or take home nicely packed freshly made food. The menu card will pamper you for choices. Samrat also accepts party orders.
Abhiruk Banerjee
Smelly chilly fish pls avoid chinese here. The chicken roll and fish fry was good. The manager initially admitted the fact but later refused to acknowledge it when asked for replacement
Riya Chowdhury
One of my favourite takeaways. Totally love their fish fry, chicken cutlet and chinese combo which consists of chicken fried rice, 2 fish fingers and 2 pieces of chili chicken. Although I feel the quality has degraded.
Prerona (foodbyprerona)
It's a nice and good place to eat on the go. It's kind of a street food place and serves almost indian Chinese and quite bites. It has a sitting arrangement outside openly
Debanjan Das
Must try: Chicken tandoori, Mutton/chicken biriyani, Mutton/chicken kosha, Mixed fried rice, chilly fish.
Taste is amazing. Quantity is also great, 1/2 plate biriyani/fried rice would be enough for one. Provides healthy, good quality food. According to me, it is better than Arsalan for chicken tandoori.

Dear Mr Owner, I have been eating from your outlet since a long time. Today , I have promised to myself that I will never visit your outlet ever. What kind of staff do you have? Mr Tulu doesn't even know how to behave . He made me wait for my order for one hour then he says it will not be possible to cater me as some ingredients ( prawns) were not available and since the outlet was open till early morning it was not possible for them to serve lunch orders. I understand it's hectic for the staff, the outlet should be closed for lunch in that case.Since my order was cancelled by Mr Tulu I had to buy briyani in place of Chinese food. The briyani was Horrible. Uncooked meat, uncooked potatoes and horrible Rice quality. What a horrible experience!! And please tell Mr Tulu to at least speak properly with the guests specially ladies.
Rajarshi Chakraborti
Their fish products are good which include fish fingers. Since I have to complete the review to make it 140 characters, the rolls are decent as well. But products sell here like hot cake.
Subhendu Paul
Well, a great takeaway resturent. Quality and quantity wise pretty good. Must try their mixed chowmin/rice, chicken kebabs, hot garlic chicken, chicken Manchurian all of them are delicious. A complete poket friendly place from where we order food in any occasion or friendly parties or when my mood says so ☺️

Rolls
Chilli chicken
Noodles(mixed/egg/veg/chicken),
Garlic Chicken
Lemon Chicken

The above mentioned dishes has been comfort foods for the Adda seasons and a lot more, since a long time. The taste of these dishes has never failed and I kinda like this join where the pocket pinch is not too high.
Soumi Paul
This little snack shop is at Anwar Shah Road. It provides amazing snack. I tried the Chicken roll. The roll was really long the chicken pices were succulent. The roll costed me only 40 rupees
Anita Das
Superb quality and quantity at the same time. Takeaway is preferable. They maintain the highest quality possible. I had tried the mix hakka chowmin, it was good enough to satisfy the hunger of mine.
Debomita Sarkar
Always love to have snacks from there. Rolls,chinese,biriyani.. awesome. Kinda somewhat a known face there.Pocket-friendly,tasty... what more do you need?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is a take away joint. It sells decent quality food for the price. Recently, April 18,I ordered 3 fish fries and a moghlai paratha. The food was pretty good. But the guy who delivered gave me the food, no receipt ( I asked, he said he forgot to bring). I paid and as I walked to my room I realized I was over charged, about Rs 45per the menu.I called the delivery man right away, he said β€œ didi ota old menu, 3 months back prices have increased.” Ok, I accepted. Today I ordered food again, they delivered food with a receipt and fish fries were Rs 50each, last days’ total should have been Rs 45 or less per that price. I called Samrat soon after and explained. They said never in future accept food without receipt, but never once bothered to refund my money. This was a very unpleasant experience. No one likes to be cheated.
Antara
It was my friend's birthday and she ordered food from Samrat. The price is reasonable, undoubtedly. The taste of the food was moderate, not lipsmacking but satisfy your hunger without causing any trouble. We ordered veg fried rice, chilli paneer and chilli fish.

β€’ The fried rice gives a very light stir on your tastebuds but you will want to have another spoon of it. The vegetables are cut in very small pieces and somehow will give you an impression of typical home-made fried rice. (3.5/5)

β€’ Now coming to the side dishes, in both cases the coating of the proteins was too bulky and tastes blant(like it has been coated only with cornflour and probably refined flour). After two bites you will find the pieces of fish or paneer which are too small in portion. The gravy was too dark, heavy and concentrated, and it does not give you the feeling of freshly made food. (1/5)
Poushali Sengupta
Yesterday I ordered tawa roti and bharta, worth Rs.165.Roti was hot and soft like home made.Chicken bharta was bit oily but tasted good along with hard boiled egg.
Abhismita Sen
Ordered a take away of Mughlai Parantha yesterday from here. This was my first tasting of Mughlai Parantha, so I had no clue what the thing tastes like. The Mughlai Parantha was so sumptuous that it would easily serve 3. To my surprise it wasn't very oily and came with an Aloor Dom kind of side and pickled salad. I totally devoured it.
Ruchira Das
It's a road side shop. Mainly good for takeaways. The food here is good as per the prices. It's affordable and is mainly known for its rolls, chops and mughlai paranthas. I have had food from here on several occasions. Their chicken mughlai parantha is pretty good. The rolls and dim er devil are pretty good as well. Also, once I ordered fish finger, fried rice and chilli chicken for takeaway. The fish finger was very good. The fried rice was also very good and had very good quantity. The chilli chicken was okayish.Appropriate for takeaway if you are passing through Lord's More.
Piyali Ghosh
Located in lords more. They sell a wide range of snacks. Perfect for tea time. Their chicken cutlet is much in demand. The preparation is spicy yet yummy. Do try out their varieties of chops and cutlets.
Abhik Sengupta
Best fast food joint of Lords Bakery More. Mughlai, fish fry, mixed noodles and fried rice and rolls are must haves out here. Only drawback is the time taken to serve as they are always having a huge queue of customers though it's of course a result of great food being served at quite a reasonable rate.
Sayan Ghosh Dastidar
This place is located in my neighborhood and therefore I am quite a regular customer. They are a decent outlet for takeaway food. The food is good, and not pricy at all. However, it would be good if they pace up their services a bit sometimes.
Dorothy Bhattacharjee
It is a take away restuarant.
Taste their mixed fried rice, one of the best I have ever tasted..with plenty of shrimps chicken and egg. The good is of the best quality.
Biriyani is also good. Go on and taste the dishes.
Atreyi Dutta
Very economical , price less than most fast food joint
Had the chicken roll
Oil is a little bit on the higher side
Overall okayish
You can try it for quicky snacks
Sneha Bhattacharya
On budget? Craving for good food? This place at Lord's more is perfect for u. Try mixed fried rice n chilly chicken and u will never be disappointed. Small place with huge crowd lining up every single evening.
Rupsa Banerjee
I've been enjoying food from this joint since I was a little girl, the portions and the quality of the food is intact and that's what's so special about this place. A very pocket friendly eatery for your fast food cravings. I've usually had snacks and Chinese from this place, never dabbled into the mughlai cuisine apart from the occasional kebabs, really recommend people to try out this place if they aren't too health conscious and just want to please their palate.

Would recommend having the chicken cutlet, fish chop and the fish fry for starters. Mixed fried rice with the chicken Manchurian for the main as the mixed fried rice had generous chunks of prawns, eggs and chicken which you can taste with every spoonful. Value for money πŸ‘

Anuvab Biswas
An economical fast food joint, located at Lord's crossing right next to the iconic Kalpana Mistanna Bhandar.
The preferred option is to have your food packed and taken away. From evening onwards, patrons flock here for their fried items and dinner dishes.
The Fish Fry,Fish Roll and Chicken Cutlet-have good filling and are the best sellers here.
The Moghlai paratha and kathi rolls are decent.
Chinese food here is typical Bengali Chinese available at most places with Chilli Chicken being the main attraction.
Tushar Chatterjee
Grttt food.very much pocket friendly. My favourite Mixed Fried Rice,Mixed Gravy Chow,Chicken Cutlet ,Dry Chilly Chicken. It's my favorite food joint.
Deya Ganguly
This place is a hidden gem. A small roadside shop which is almost always crowded with people, offers excellent fast food and snacks. I have ordered different items several times and they have never disappointed me. The service is prompt and the food is fresh.
P.S. Must try their Chicken bharta.
Rohil
After reading reviews on zomato tried this place and ordered the famous fish roll. I personally didn't like the taste. Found the food to be oily and the roll was deep fried. Could just eat half roll. Had to throw the remaining half.
Shreyas Surya Dasgupta
A shop associated with nostalgia. Grew up having snacks from here. There was big gap in between due to my shifting to a new house in other part of the city. Yesterday happened to visit the area and couldn't help reliving my childhood again. The taste is still the same and even the quality. Probably only thing which needs to taken care of is the amount of oil used for frying. I had to use paper napkin to wipe off the surface oil from the food.
Fish chop and chicken cutlet is highly recommended
Spandana Ganguly
Samrat snacks is ideal for quick bites or for hunger pangs.Had chicken roll and chicken pan fried momo from this outlet. The roll was quite ordinary in taste but the pan fried momo was yummy and delicious- it was sweet yet spicy. Loved the pan fried momo.

Intro: Samrat Snacks is at the crossing Lords Bakery crossing - You can identify easily - a big gatheering will be infront of the shop - they're famous for their fish rolls - fish fry etc

Food :

Fish Roll - No doubt people throng at this joint for their fish rolls - The stuffing was very tasty . Around the stuffing good layer of fish - fried well - in a nutshell- delicious 4/5

Chicken Tangri Kebab - Again good stuff - well marinated and done in the tandoor 4/5

Overall 4/5

Dr.Uddalak Chakraborty
Oh yes..this not so handsome roadside place serves amazing chicken tandoori..bang on desi style fiery big chicken pieces...the pudina chatni was equally amazing..their rolls are pretty average but their chicken kebab tasted equally good..mark deducted because of their unhygienic salad..
Aritra Banerjee
At first,I would like to say that this is a fast food joint serving rolls, noodles, biriyani and few side dishes. But above all the food they serve is of good taste and quality and always served hot. They always try to retain their reputation.
Pamela Nandi (Foodaholic)
Roadside fast foodcorner located at the crossing of lords more.I would recommend to try out their chicken cutlet and egg chicken roll which stands best in the menu.
Sinchita Kar (The BienVita)
Samrat snacks is one restaurant i frequently order when lazy to cook or for parties. It offers lip smacking food at convenient prices without making a hole in the pockets!

in the menu we have tried almost their Chinese and Mughlai dishes and I recommend to order both of them.
My favourite is chicken biryani and their chicken tikka. I love the fact their biryani is kolkata style so those who like Hyderabadi chicken biryani.

Overall my experience is 4/5! I highly recommend this outlet to anyone living in south city complex. Perfect for party orders ;)
Dipyaman Basu (whenstomachtickles)
A decent eatery serving Indian and Chinese option at Lord's More, this is a good place to have quick snacks at low budget. Their snacks option are quite consistent, but again this is mostly a take-away joint.
Madhuparna Mitra
Its an awesome snacks bar..been there from childhood n food is awesome..must try out the place and its very very cheap...not a retraurant but for home delivery this is the place
Rakesh Saha
A decent joint of Indian and Chinese foods. Located at one corner of Lords More, a small restaurant but their food quality is good.
I have tried their Chicken roll, good quality paratha and sufficient amount of Chicken in it.
Then coming to their Chinese dishes, I tasted their Chicken Chowmine and Chili Chicken. Both were good and tasty.
Good value for money. Decent price.
Rituparna Bhattacharya
This is very close to my home and I tasted several items from them. From snacks menu Chicken cutlet & fish fry preferable. They offer very good Chinese items with very pocket friendly rate and good quantity. Mixed fried rice most preferable item as it contains huge number of prawns & chicken. Generally i avoid Biryani from here as there are 2 more Biryani giants close to Lords more.

Overall very pocket friendly good items.
Sayantan Chakraborty
An average snack bar serving fast food. Fish Finger from this place is pretty good. So are some of the rolls. Biriyani is similar to a road side stall. Good for a evening snacks.
Aman Saraf
β˜ΊπŸ‘Today I Visited This Samrat Snacks For The 11th Time In 10 Long Years Since The Year 2006. Coming To Food I Ordered 2 Egg Rolls For Just Rs. 25/- Each. I Bought It Home For My Pampa Di Who Is Working In My House For 3 Long Years Day In And Day Out. She Said It Is Awesome. Thanks Samrat Snacks Job Well Done. Keep It Up.πŸ˜„πŸ‘Œ
Suman Chakraborty
Samrat snacks on Lord's more is a heaven for people who love to gorge on fried snacks, the chop, cutlet and fries are of consistent taste and it is pocket-friendly too.
Nishit Sadual
This place located at the lord's more crossing is a value for money.Have tried their chicken cutlet, chicken chilly and chicken masala. All tasted very well. Chicken cutlet was something i tasted for the first time and found it pretty delicious. There is no place to dine in although chairs are there but no tables. Mostly people pack their food here. Would recommend people to try fast food items like cutlet, rolls etc.
Suraj Iyer
One of my favorite fast food center has to be Samrat, if I am near Lord's Bakery Crossing. Like any other popular fast food destination, the quality along with the reasonable price happens to be the USP of this small eatery.
Sayantika Dutta (Eat Fly Buy Mag)
If you are looking for the old Calcuttan Chop-Cutlet culture, the best place to drop by on Prince Anwarshah Road is Samrat Snacks. This shop occupies very little place on a bustling pavement of Lords More, and has been around for ever. I have been eating food coming out of their fryers for almost two decades now. Some of my favorite picks from the menu are- the chicken cutlet (always on top), the chicken pakora, the mughlai, the fish fry, the rolls and also the mutton biriyani. Though the biriyani is not out of the world, it does not disappoint gravely either. But, the fries manage to hit the ball out of the park.
In case that you have not yet managed to get your hands on any of their fries, it is time you do. Do not forget to order the chicken cutlet.
Sayanti Sarkar
This is very good place for street food purpose.. food's quantity and quality both excellent.. price is reasonable .. i love its taste compared to other restaurant present in the lords more.. it also provide lunch box..
Agniva Chakraborty
Whenever I visit my brother's place, Samrat Snacks is my destination for that day.. A tiny little shop with so good food. Specially the Chicken Cutlet.. It is just mouth watering piece. Definitely try this one. Very fresh and tasty.
Arnab Mitra
Samrat Snacks is a small delivery outlet located at the Lord's crossing in Prince Anwar Shah Road. The place as most have witnessed remains too crowded at the evening. Coming to the food, their "Kolkata" Chinese dishes are lipsmacking and my personal favorites are the Mixed Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken dry. However, their Biriyani is too oily and does not seem to churn out the flavor it is supposed to be. The snacks like Fish Fry and the Rolls are good enough and above average compared to the joints of their sizes. All in all, the place caters well as a quick solution for food ! :)
Anamitraa/The Gut Filling
A great place to devour Kolkata street food. The best is the fish roll filled with ample amount of fish, cashews and raisins coming to your tastebuds at every bite. The fish chop, chicken and mutton rolls are very good too. The Kolkata fast food is very oily and if you consider it is unhealthy for the long run. So is the food at Samrat. Still, the food here is yummy. Do give here a shot anytime you pass by Prince Anwar Shah Road. Located at the main Lords More. Definitely recommended. Happy Dining! :)
Bidrohi Riju
situated at lords more . a pocket friedly place but not healthy according to me . food is good but not the environmnt . sitting arrangemnt are few chairs only withno table , tasted thir rolls a few times. i prefer salaam namaste with is just on the other side of the crossing
Debashmita Paul
Having been eating here since childhood i think they serve the best food in lake gardens .Every dish they serve is equally delicious, the rolls are the must have.
Kamalika Majumdar
This is the best eatery in town. The best value for money, good quality, quantity. The taste is as good as it was in day one.Be it a everyday eat out option or order for parties we just cannot think beyond SAMRAT.Those of you have not tried you dont know what are you missing.Dont go by its little space. That little space has so much to offer.
Anjali
Sitting is very poor. But price is pocket friendly. I ordered motton biriani. Biriani quility is very good. 2 pices motton 1 pice potato and egg. I love this biriany. Bt place is very small.
ROHIT ROY CHOWDHURY
Situated at lords more, this joint has always crowded with peoples, tried their rolls and chicken combo. Taste were okay and average, nothing special to mention about.
Jatya Batabyal
Have been visiting the place since childhood. Used to be a very small joint at Lords More where only one person can fit in, and till today its almost the same. They are famous among localites for their Rolls, Cutlets and Indo-chinese food. Though have'nt visited the place for quite sometime now, still it always will be one of my local favourite street food outlets.
Bitan Banerjee
Perhaps the best street food joint at Lords more. Egg chicken roll, fish finger, fish pakora and mutton roll are the best dishes they serve. People who love Kolkata street food should go and visit this place.
Aritra Chatterjee
One of the better places to order "The Bengali brand" of Chinese food from. The snacks items like Fish fries, Fish rolls and Chicken cutlets are pretty good too. Fried Rice and Chowmein are on the non oily side (just like the snacks items). The side dishes are pretty reasonable (neither exceptional nor bad).
Momos and stuff are also good. The service for home delivery is pretty fast.
With a shallow pocket, or if living close by one may try out the stuff from here without much disappointments.
Avijit Biswas
One of the best place for having street foods... they serves gr8 chicken and mutton rolls... with plenty of fried delicacies like fish fry, chicken cutlet, spring rolls etc... each and every one was gr8... service was fast... pocket pinch was friendly...
Dr.Aruddha Sarkar
People hv quite adequately praised the rolls and fries of this place but the momos, both steamed and pan fried,of this joint located at lord's bakery more is also delicious !!..only thing, when zomato says seating available it dsnt necessarily mean a proper sitting arrangemnt..it includes roadside chairs and stool too !!..But this place makes up all its lack of ambience with the delicious food tht they serve !!
Ayan Das
Growing up in the neighborhood, this was one of the most visited places for snacks. Being a typical snacks joint in the array of snack shops, the standout feature of it is the rolls. I totally love their egg chicken roll, and the fish fries.
Debjeet Majumdar
A SMALL JOINT IN LORD'S MORE .
I HAVE TASTED ONLY FRIES AND CHOPS AND ALL HAVE BEEN GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY IF YOU COMPARE THE TASTE,INGREDIENTS AND PRICING AND SO GAINING GOOD POPULARITY.
Mrinalini Majumdar
I am totally in love with the food here! The mixed chow is just mouth-watering. The fish to the Biryani - I know don't which to choose because all of them are so appetizing! I just wish the food delivery was better but otherwise, I love the place.
Here are pictures of the famous mixed fried rice. It's a must try!
Gourab Pal
It is the smallest food take away shop I have ever seen but that does not effect on the food. The chinese is the indian version chinese which many people like. I found that chowmein fried rice chilly chicken dry every thing had a indian touch. The chicken is really hot so those who dont like hot foods beware.
Manoj Mondal
Though by looks this restaurant does not seems attractive but some time we need to ignore the idiom judging the book by its cover. Snacks items are so delicate and yummy that no words are enough to explain. Specially fish roll just awesome. Moglai, Roll, cutlets very tasteful. I must suggest if anyone pass by Anwar Shah Road should stop by Samrat and taste any item. Your money will be worth full.
Radhika
The fish cutlet and the chop they make is mind blowing. Other things also i like but my favourite is their fish items. A small shop just beside kalpana sweets but the taste and quality is good. Price is reasonable.
Tya Chaki
I was surprised that Samrat did not have anything fish related on their Indian menu. When I say fish related I mean like a curry/ masala and not a fry or roll.
I don't eat meat, so it's fairly impossible now for me to order for something not Chinese from Samrat.

To add insult on injury, the person on the end of the line hung up on me before I could ask him for other take away alternatives. Hmmmmph!!!!

A disappointing 1 on behalf of customers who want to eat your food but cannot because people hang up on you!!!!
And here I was looking forward to eating the biriyani (yes I just eat the biriyani rice) based on the lovely reviews on TOI.

Samrat powers-that-be. Take note and add a fish item on your menu!!! Maybe train your people on basic customer service no matter how busy you are!
Adhiraj Sarker
Located at the Lords Bakery Crossing, this is the best place to have snacks. Mind you, it is a roadside shop, and you have to eat either standing or sitting in a bench. But the snacks are so good that you'd be gorging on them. I used to be a regular at Samrat during my years of stay at Lake Gardens. They make the best Chicken Roll and other cutlets in that area. Their noodles and chilli chicken are also good and delicious, from a snack's corner's standpoint.

Highly recommended for everyone who visits Lords Bakery Crossing.
Romisha Sarkar
It's a small takeaway joint located at the Lord's Bakery More. The food is delicious.Be it the fish roll or the chicken cutlet or the hakka noodles or the chicken tikia, everything tasted delicious. But the standout dish is definitely their Special chicken mughlai paratha.
Deeotima Hazra
I have tried chicken and egg chicken noodles, chicken cutlet, fish finger and chicken rolls! Such superb rolls and tasty noodles at decent rates ! Since its near my residence I make sure I order from here every time I have a party at home. Home delivery service is very efficient.

Debdoot Das
I've tried their Chicken roll, Egg Chicken Roll, Special Chicken Roll and Special Mutton Roll. They were awesome, and probably some of the best I've had. However, the place is not very hygienic and/or healthy. It's situated directly on the main road, so the atmosphere is dirty.
Rishi Roy
Been having rolls here since I was a kid. The rolls here are amazing. Quantity of food is quite reasonable. Their mixed noodles and egg chicken roll is fab.
Trideeb Roy Choudhury
I had ordered home delivery from Samrat today and as it is mentioned in Zomato I called up at 12pm for the order and u was promised that I will get the delivery by 1pm. At 1pm I gave a call regarding the time it will get delivered and I was promised to get it by 1.15pm and till 1.30 I waited and then again called and the order taker picked the phone and kept the phone without answering for 5 mins and then disconnected and after that they dint respond my call.. I would tell everyone out there don't opt for this restaurant ever..
By far the worst delivery joint I have witnessed in Calcutta...
Rahul Ghosh
Okay lets do this.

Samrat has two outlets . The one in golfgreen is the main one and has decent seating arrangement, the one in Lords "more" is nothing more than a takeaway counter. So nothing much to say about the ambiance except the street dogs there are a bit vicious.Β

The food is the real star. Portions are HUGE. At least they used to be before the latest series of price-hikes and portion reductions.
Still the quantity is respectable.
The chicken cutlet and fish roll are delectable. I mean like best in kolkata delectable. The chili chicken is an abomination. Beware that sweet sticky pretender of a dish.Β

Service is prompt.Best of all its still pretty cheap.
Lajbanti Banerjee
Good taste, best fish fries n fish chops which are very crunchy, awesome dry chillie chicken and quick service are among some of the best qualities of this shop.
Rishav Sarkar
The food is just too good . This is mainly due to the use of palm oil in cooking which remains in liquid form every after reaching room temperature. Anyway, the tikkia roll the hot garlic, chilli, Manchurian and on request burnt ginger chicken are simply awesome and worth the penny . Its simply forknspoon lickin good .
Somrita Biswas
It has been my favourite place since moving to lake gardens 12yrs back. Now there r many food stalls in Lords more, Samrat is the most frequented. It's a small shop bt dere's lot on the menu. Chicken roll is my favourite. Also vegetable chop, Chicken cutlet,Fish fry r worth trying. Fish roll is famous here. I also lyk dere chicken kebab.biryani is good for the price.
Overall value fo money. Best in dis locality.
Pritha Khandelwal
Street food at its best! Had chicken and egg roll.it was absolutely delicious with the right type and amount of masala ie seasoning. chicken roll was very heavy... its a lunch in itself... must try the egg roll... Also I requested for the oil content to be not too much n they did follow exactly that.. so it was great!

Let me confess as I begin,my rating is biased on rolls n fish fries only, as I have always been religiously savoring these 2items from here. Never felt over these, actually ????.. Succulent tender juicy are d adjectives which comes to my mind remembering Samrat's rolls n ffs... Love every bit of the snacks!

Oh. My. Fish fries.
Undoubtedly the second best fish fries in the city after Bijoli Grill. I drop in almost every week and I love the taste. However, it is NOT a place for the fine-dining lovers and hygiene freaks - this place is situated practically on the main road. The pavement is way too dirty :/

Serves quality food and take away's at reasonable price.... home delivery service is pretty impressive... :) the only disadvantage is that it lacks seating arrangement.. or else... make sure to drop in here if you are somewhere near lake gardens :D

We are a huuuge fan of Samrat Snacks. Their food is finger-licking good. Of all the places, we find the fish roll awesomely good. Their portions are good too! 100 bucks for chicken biriyani and 110 for mutton biriyani and the portions are good! Their home delivery is good too. Prompt and really fresh food.

24th November,2014
Recently i had their chicken roll. It was brilliant to say the least!!! The paratha was soft and flaky and not oily at all.The chicken pieces were well prepared, decent sized and had the right amount of spices in it. I prefer my rolls with a dash of lemon and generous amount of chopped green chillies. That is exactly what i got.Pure bliss.:)

This review is based on my experience at sampling the food from both the outlets of Samrat Snacks.Yes, folks they have opened another outlet on Prince Golam Mohd Shah Road(P.G.M.S.Road).It is located behind the laundry outlet-"Calcutta Wash".For the uninitiated P.G.M.S Road is the one that takes you to Golf Green from Lords Crossing. This new outlet is much cleaner, less crowded and well-stocked.Recently sampled a plate of fish finger-6 pieces(Rs 80/-) and the good old vegetable chop(Rs 7/-).Both the items were well-made and quite fresh. The fish used was basa but of good quality. The outer coating of bread crumbs for both the fish finger and veg chop was slightly tough and hard. But that is a minor glitch. After all one cannot expect much finesse from street food akin to classy joints.
My earlier experiences from the PA Shah outlet was also satisfactory. The rolls, fish fry and the cutlet are good enough.Though as suggested by my fellow foodies am yet to lay my hands on their forte i.e. fish roll. But that shall be very soon.

This is a small food joint at Lord's More. Lord's More is an area where there are a multitude of food joints starting from sweet shops to snacks joints and Samrat is one of them. It sells a wide variety of snacks - rolls, cutlets, parathas, chowmein, fried rice etc. This fast food restaurant enjoys a lot of foodies from the time it opens till its closing time. There is no seating arrangement as such and one has to stand and place the order. Consider this as take-away joint. The taste of the food is good and price reasonable (two good reasons why people pay visit to this place.)
