The Way is A bit confusing. But everything else is good. the restaurant is located in between 1st floor and ground floor
RISHI N
The restaurant is nice. Located just next to Reliance Trends . It is very cozy yet compact place. Food is really good . I wouldn't say Excellent. For which I gave 4/5 stars. I would surely visit again we had Bhaidooj function for 15 to 20 people . From Soups to Salad everything is good except for the Sabzees which was less delightful. Like less on Salt & spices. Moral ;- But I would go again definitely!!

Very Nice veg restaurant in Kolkata. Food quality, quantity and taste are more than avarage. I have tasted crispy chilly baby corn, paneer tika as starter and kadhai paneer, paneer patiyala, veg manchurian, naan and stream rice and believe me all are good.
Aniket Singhania
- Very nice place. The interior is quite good. Clean, spacy and comfortable as well. (⭐: 5.0/5) - The food is very tasty. The items are fresh and properly cooked. (⭐: 4.5/5) - This restaurant is very family friendly. If you looking for a small family lunch/dinner party or maybe a gathering even, it is definitely a good choice. (⭐: 5.0/5) - The waiters and staff are well behaved and friendly in nature. (⭐: 5.0/5) - The only negative I could think of this place is that the menu is quite overpriced. I think they could maybe dial down the cost of each items just a little bit to make it a budget-friendly restaurant. (⭐: 3.5/5) Overall, Very nice Place. Must visit for lunch/dinner if you are a family person.
Ashish Saurabh
On of the old resturant in the area. Quality of food is average can try once a while. Reasonable menu price. And it's Pure Vegetarian restaurant. Must try paner tikka and veg crispy in starter
Susmita Banerjee
Pure veg restaurant serving tasty food in a quiet atmosphere.
Partha Saha
Good food. Purely veg (including Onion & Garlic) but if you instruct to cook without onion or garlic they will do that too. Taste is awesome even without onion & garlic.
Piyush
Everything about this place from the food to the atmosphere is great. 10/10

Arijit Bhadra
Another less known place among foodie but nice place to have Veg dishes served,You will get onion garlic less recipe as well so for jain this place would be perfect. Amount wise its reasonable and quantity wise liked it as well, overall restaurant ambience also good, calm.Dishes were nice and finger licking good. Its just in first floor of the BB EYE foundation building in Raghunathpur. Parking wise you should not have any problem as places are ample in here. Its near Sharma snacks Raghunathpur bus stop.

I went with my family on my sister's birthday. It was like family get together.I cannot deny that kitna accha lega when Retro music was playing on one side all the people were enjoying the feast. Especially brothers were chuckling making fun of her and me
Elders got reunited. It was the best birthday of her It provide me a sensation that she has entered world of adolescent with the blessings of her family and was enjoying my company.
Prarthana Khandelwal
This is a vegetarian restaurant which offers affordable food.Staffs are quite friendly and attentive. One must have paneer patiala with roti and crispy chilli babycorn for starters.
Shweta Trivedi
I am a strict vegetarian and I visit this restaurant very frequently with my family. The food is good but the most disappointing thing is the behaviour of the head of staff. That person is too arrogant to work as the head of the staff. Last time my husband asked for some water while we were having dinner, but that guy just ignored it. So my husband asked to another waiter for water. Meanwhile the manager saw all this and told the first one to be attentive. At this, he came and talked to us in a very arrogant manner. This was very unprofessional and disappointing.

Priyanka Agarwal
Food is good... Not too much options available... Nothing new in the ambience... A "anytime go-to restaurant". Polite staff... Quality price... Moderate price...
Kram Maniar
Great food and good staff.. the ambience will be an issue as the property and the look and feel is not restaurant like. But that gets compensated by the food and people quality.
Archana

The food was nice and the price is also good as compared to other pure veg restaurants. The ambience feels like a residential apartment, haha
Swati Dokania
Located on VIP road , just a few steps from Raghunathpur bus stop!

Pure veg restaurant with classic simple decor!

Food tastes awesome...we went during lunch hours and ordered North-Indian thali...which is completely filling for 1 person!!

The North-Indian thali serves 2 masala kulcha , rice, dal makhani, Shahi paneer, aloo dum, raita, salad, gulab-jamun , papad!!

What else one can ask for !😀

Each item in the thali tastes awesome...best part-no excess oil in paneer or aloo dum!!

Priced only at ₹210..this is definitely recommended!!👍👍

Sheer Disappointment was what I felt when I visited recently. Had loads of good stuff about the place but experience was somewhat different.

Cons:
No taste

Moreover, one should not expect tips if the service is not upto the mark. I reckon that I will not be visiting anytime soon.
Devapriya Banerjee
I had a home delivery ordered for my daughters birthday party. Its hard to impress a bengali taste bud with vegetarian dishes, but i must say its a clear winner. Loved everything and the guests enjoyed too.
Amit Jain
Dal makhni was taseless. Rest all the food items were okay. Paneer Patiyala was very tasty. Tandoori roti was also nice. Quality should be improved.
@thedroolfool ( Pooja Chatlani) 🤤
It's a regular dine in spot for the local vegetarian people in the area. Its situated on the main road so no hassles to reach the place. Have been there multiple times. The staff is courteous and the ambience is pretty good. I like their food a lot.
Tania Singh
Food was awesome. Keep it up☺. All the new things tried here were just mindblowing and tasty as well. Good ambience. Perfect place for people who loves veg food☺☺
Pooja Agarwal
I wish i could rate this restaurant in negative. The staff and the manager were rude, they were not at all courteous. The food we were served was tasteless. Half the things on menu were not available and when the reason was asked they said during weekends, due to work pressure they put limit on food items. And The limit was such that they couldn't serve us a very basic drink- "fresh lime soda". Highly disappointed. Surely my first and last visit to this one.
Teejay
Delicious food and commendable service. A family restaurant, with a good ambience. Located on the main road. Parking area also available. A must try.
Sushant Kumar Agarwal
One of the worst food I have ever had in my life... Paneer Butter Masala and aloo do pyaza... Oh God... I have never ever had such an awful taste..
Devansh Agarwal
Been visiting the Russel street outlet for years and also been happy, however didn’t expect disappointment at the Baguihati outlet.
Ordered chole kulcha as per the mini Thali menu and they sent Pindi chana with Bhature. Where on God’s earth is bhature served in the same of kulche?
When asked, the manager replied that they serve chole under the name of chole kulche, if so, then why is the chole not gravy and dry pindi chana?

What are you trying to implement? The comic moment is further stretched when the person implied that kulche is not flat breads filled with stuffing, it’s the dough that is fried in oil and is looks like a big piece of stone.

Please explain what are you selling me? Don’t mis sell or instead just change the menu card.
Atanu Ghosh
Tried South Indian today. balanced, yammi food. missing tomato chutney. was looking for Malabar parota. Excellent staff. Clean environment. Hope to visit soon again.

I have been to Gangaur, Park Street... Loved the food. This is the other outlet at Baguiati. It was a random plan to visit this restaurant. The restaurant is located on the main road and can be easily tracked.
The food is good. We ordered Dal makhani, paneer do pyaaza, matar paneer, pindi chana, Missi roti, garlic naan and lachha naan. All the food item was good.
The restaurant must work on ambiance so that can be customer friendly.
Service was good.
Price is average.
Amit Vyas
Had an North Indian thali. You get a taste of proper North Indian food else its very difficult to find a pure veg North Indian restaurant in kolkata. Try Masala butter milk, its Fantastic.
Anuj Patwari
Went there for a dinner on my bday with my friends......best and tasty food, well behaved staff good service
We orderd tandoori aloo, spring roll and Chinese bhel for starters it was just awesome for main course we orderd panner Patiala as per suggested by waiter as their signature dish which was simply awesome , n dal makhani which was good in roti we ordered lachadar naan , masal kulcha , pudhina Paratha and briyani and having all these I can say each and every item was awesome without onion and garlic
Manish Khedia
This is one of the good places to eat North Indian food.
Their Thali is good but I think they should come up with lighter version of it which people can order daily.
The taste is yummy, the sitting is average.

If you're a hardcore vegeterian or just tired of watching all the animals being butchered to satiate your craving for meat and longing to have a vegetarian meal, Gangaur Vegetarian restaurant is the place to be. Quite a decent restaurant, has a preety soothing ambience and the staffs are the nicest people I've come across in comparison to other restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious. The Rajasthani Thali is awesome but is available only during lunch hours. Do try the Special Kulfi from the Deserts menu, its awesome. Despite being a meat lover, I still would come back to this place.
VijayMsam
A pure veg restaurant ,difficult to find the place for the one's not staying in that area located behind a popular marriage hall
The place has a decent ambience cant complain about anything everything was just ok from food to service and ambience
Nothing special to mention

If you want to eat something without onion and garlic you can go to this place
Rishi Gupta

Gangur is located in baguiati. Its is conveniently located. Food is quite good. They serve excellent south indian. Good place to kill your sudden hunger attacks.
Nikhil Kochar
Pocket pinch: reasonable
Ambience: simple
Service: fast
Food quality: good
Food quantity: good but in panner tikka they only give 4pcs,yes just 4pcs, in this particular item quantity Is very poor and also the taste of panner tikka is not that good.
Overall a nice place to go
Antara
It is a great place for breakfast!! Their south indian is just amazing!! I am a big fan of their jalebis too!! They sweet and crispy as much as they should be!!

The place is a good idea to visit with friends and family for a gud time meal.... a pocket friendly place with flavoured food... and the service is also pretty good....
Archit Saraf
Decent vegetarian food restaurant at north side of the city. Their breakfast club kachori is something which deserves a special mention along with their kesaria chai. All in all if you are near the locality then probably one of the top vegetarian restaurant to look out for! Service is pretty good.
Aditya Raj Kapoor
Not sure if it is a part of the original Gangaur from Russel Street but the breakfast that we ordered was very similar to the one from the original one. The delivery happened late but the food was still hot and tasty. Looking forward to trying the other things on their menu. Good, hot and homestyle vegetarian food.
Arun Chanani. Diamond City North. 68, Jessore Road Block - 5/4b
Awesome food..nice experience. Friendly staff as I went there for my daughter bday with family n relatives....n they made my day..all items are very good..specially Thalis..try it
ANKITA
Delivery is really very slow. It took more than an hour. Awesome veg food. Stuffed kulchas taste great, nans are also nice, corn methi malai is their best.
Rahul Sureka
I ordered the food over the phone.. Dal makhni tastes good, aludum good , masala kulchaa stuffed good and fulka soft and good.
The overall experience was good but not very good will definitely order once again.
Arnav Ganeriwal
Dear management if you can't maintain the food quality in this outlet as compared to Russell Street one its very difficult to survive the food served here is pathetic even the soups are spoil spot i went on my bday with guest i had to be ashamed in front of them. We immediately had to leave after trying soup and starter.. Even staff started argument with us and when not listened we at last got up by paying bill for a shameful situation. Please review it otherwise u guys hv to shut the outlet.. din't expected this kind of behavior and service as we r lover of gangaurs food..
Siddhartha Chowdhary
I ordered breakfast from this place through zomato. Gangaur already has an established name in South Kolkata. I ordered for upma, which was served with sambhar and coconut chutney. Upma was a bit too dry. Veg grilled sandwich and chilli cheese toast were nice. We ordered dhokla but that wasn't available. I am a sucker for their kesaria jalebis, I love them. The parcel reached me on time, but without paper napkins and spoons, which was a turn off.
Amreeta Banerjee
Often on Fridays we get food from Gangaur and the food is awesome!! Being a veggie i never missed chicken after having food from here. So if you are passing by, don't miss a chance to have the Garlic naan(sooooft) with paneer butter masala. That's my favourite, you can try anything of your choice and I'm sure you will say"Yummy"!!
Akshat Rungta
The food tastes good ,flavours do pop in mouth ..being a vegiterian will recommend this place .This place is good but the service and staff behaviour is not so good .
Anusreea (The Bong Trippers)
Saturdays are veg days for us. Saturdays are also eye doctor appointment days for the granny. So, most of the Saturday lunches are here! Tried their thali once. Most of the times we opt for their dosas. Safest and tastiest!
Kamal Jonwal
Had a lunch here on the last day of my Kolkata trip. There were hardly any places to eat around my hotel and this was rated the best by zomato. So gave this place a chance. A very average kind of a place that serves pretty average food. Found the staff pretty rude.
Sourav Saraf
The ambience is good

Too good food quality

Too good staff quality with cool temperament.

I went there many times and was satisfied all the time with good food and with good memories
Aditya Jaiswal
Very good North Indian vegetarian food is served here. They also serve south indian snacks like Dosa,Uttapam but one has to be there before 1900 hours!
Considering the quality of food, the price is reasonable , but can be said to be marginally on the higher side.
Average service. The restaurant is on the 1st floor and isn't very spacious!
Subimal Das
Went there 2day.. Had idli and dhosa and papri chat.. I loved the idlis which was really fluffy and tasty.. Dhosa was ok-ok... Sambar was good... Papri chat was also ok-ok..
Vipul Baid
Went today for breakfast. To give my birthday treat to my bff. Located at ragunathpur stoppage. Service was fine. Ambience was good. When we entered full group was there. Food was good as well as hygiene. We had ordered club kachori with sabji, jalebi, masala dosa, idly, Veg. Grill sandwich, lassi ( was served room temperature, not at all cold). It can be easily located in VIP road.
Sandip Gupta
It has been a mixed experience at my first visit at Gangaur. The place looked absolutely clean and tidy with nice ambiance, good old Hindi music playing. Though it is situated in quiet an odd location on VIP Road but it looked a place to be there once you get inside. We ordered Veg Chowmein, Masala Dosa and Kesariya Kulfi. Out of these three, veg chowmein was superb. One of the best I had in recent times. Good quantity and excellent taste. Masala Dosa was a let down. We had to literally find masala in it. It was more like a plain dosa. Kesariya Kulfi was another mood destroyer. It came without faluda. I cannot imagine a kulfi without faluda. It is incomplete. The best part was the staff. Very courteous, very polite. If I visit Gangaur again some day, then it will be only because of the behaviour of their staff. I will try few more stuff over there and then will update my review.
Pawan Haritwal
simply its a paradise for veg and jain food lovers.......nice place.....touch of Rajasthan is extra favour......south Indian and North Indian foods both are awesome....
Mayank Goel
The place is situated right on VIP Road near Raghunathpur crossing 2-3 mins walk from VIP Big Bazzar.. It had a good family ambience and food was also nice but was disappointed with Masala Kulcha as it was not properly stuffed..
Overall a good place for a dinner with family...
Thumbs up 👍
Ravi Prakash
Pure veg - Good food - I am a regular visitor to this place for breakfast - sabzi kachori and jalebi is mine favourite - good ambience - one should try it once
Vinay Mohan Charanpahari
A good option for vegetarians. The restaurant offers an option for no onion no garlic recipes as well. Thus can be visited even on puja occasions.
service- The staffs are very courteous. 5/5.Every single need is taken care of.
Food- The taste preference varies from person to person. But, being a vegetarian myself , the food satisfied my taste bud.
Recommended- one should try Hyderabad Moti here.
Binit Agarwal
Its been a few months since this one opened. Have visited this place two or three times in the last 6 months. The one in Russel Street has been around for years now and the biggest challenge for this one in VIP Road was to ensure that the same name and fame amongst the veggies was being maintained. The decor and the seating has improved in the last 6 months. Service can still be better. Although it was better during my second visit as compared to the first one. Wrong orders, staff not aware of availability in the kitchen, etc were some of the problems. But the staff is very courteous and takes feedback very positively. Dont expect too much from the ambience. But the best part is that the quality of food served is very good and that is what makes it worth a visit.
Ashish Harbhajanka
This place is really awesome... ;)
I keep visiting here most often and every time I have a new experience.. :)
Order anything and you will love it :)
Rishika Sen
We ordered no onion no garlic malai kofta and dal tadka and pudina naan... Its was really good, the quality was great, the taste was good inspire of the fact that there were no onion and garlic, the price is okayish...overall its okay
Sonam Raj Verma
Went there tday fr my father in law's 67th birthday celebration. Ordered tomato soup & manchow soup and both were good. Had baby corn chilly for starters and that too tasted well. But was a bit disappointed with the main course. Ordered Paneer Patiala, Malai Kofta, Masala Kulcha, Onion Kulcha & Tandoori Roti & to be very frank didn't like the sabjis at all. Disappointed!
Abhishek Goel
Ambience: pathetic.
Food: tasteless.

Strange how the food quality of two different outlets of the same chain be so different. Complete no to this place.
Priyam Goyal
Its a great place for vegetarians.

We ordered tomato soup and Manchow soup, both of which was great. I also loved the vegetable manchurian. It was a typical desi style dish which i love.

The Subzis and daals were great. Mix veg, Paneer and daal tadka.

They make most of the dishes without onion and garlic on request.

The Service is fairly good and the decor is simple.

Cost For 2 : Rs. 600

Recommended for Vegetarians
Manish Gupta
Great food with great ambience. But the waiters somewhat dont know how to behave. I had gone there with a friend. After finishing our food, when i had gone to the washroom and my friend was sitting there, one of the waiters commented on my friend exclaiming 'yelog yahi bas gaye hain kya'. Never visiting this place again. Seriously badly disappointed with it. Giving 1 instead of 4.5.
Siddharth Sharma
Excellent lip smacking food, best veg food i had in recent days, specially in the area. A lots being done to improve the interiors, very warm staff, family evening made..!!
Anmol Gupta
Nice food.

Lippilicious fooding.... :-)
Nikunj Luharuka
Expectations kill. This restrnt does not live up to the expectations set by its another branch in park street. Not so good food. Average service. Not so reccomended.
Suman Jain
good restaurent
Rajeev Saraogi
Can improve on waiting area, it is too hot and stuffy. Waiters need to be more polished, food quality better at Russel street outlet.
Sharda Gupta
The ambience is not good . The food is decent. The prices are high.
Sanchari Chatterji
This place is literally next to my house. And the funny thing was I never knew about this place until someone asked me the address so thanks to that unknown uncle however I couldn't help him on that time. Finally I visited the place and I came to know this is a part of Teej.I had dal baati curma there but unfortunately Gangaur don't serve that,But they serve mouthwatering veg food without garlic and onions.I couldn't belive that after eating the food.We orderd Phulkas,Butter naan, mixed veg, palak paneer and gulab jamun. The food was so good. The price was bit high as a hard core non veg I really don't like to spend money on veg food, but the food was reeeallly awesome.Do I have to say that I am going to visit again??
Tarun
This is the latest outlet of Gangaur and is located on VIP road somewhere near tegharia. Being a fan of their other outlet, i had pretty high expectations but the place disappointed me. The restaurant is big, spacious but decors are not so elegant with average seats. The staff are very warm, friendly though. The service is good but the food dint taste that good.

The south indian food is good but the north indian section lacks the punch. The dal is good, but other vegetables are pretty mediocre for the prices. The biryani that i tried was pretty bad and i would urge them to review the preparation. The rotis are fine. Overall not so value for money.

The outlet might not have impressed me that much, still would be one of my preferred destinations for a meal in this part given the lack of good options in vicinity.
Dr.Dibyendu
actually i am non vegeterian but sometimes i prefer purely vegeterian..
this wk we have ordered home delivery
tandoor roti. daal makhani. paneer buttee mashala and kashmiri aaloor dam
all are fabulous..
like to visit the place soon
Shalini Jain
Since we love the russel street Gangaur we were pretty excited to visit this new place at VIP road and see if it could match up the standard set by its own restaurant. Entering this place was a pretty disapontment for me since this one is very cheaply made as compared to its much classier version at russel street. With hopes of good food i began with a masala tea which turned out suprisingly great making us order 3 more. The manchow soup was also decent. We ordered paneer tikka for starters which was average.
But the main course was lovely. We ordered paneer butter masala, malai kofta and palak corn all of which was awesome. The naan was soft and warm. So the food ended up making us happy and me and my family had a great time.
So this place is a good option for food but the ambience you should be prepared for to be not appealing.

Ratings:
Taste-4/5
Service- 4/5(the place was empty on a weekday so we got all the attention ^_^ )
Ambience-2/5
Overall experience-3.5/5
Anil4438
Visited twice and got the food home delivered once..

In all the three times, I have asked for no onion garlic food and they have served/sent food with onion garlic.

Otherwise, food is value for money..
Nishant Mishra
The Food's good can b a lot better but d quality's intact but not a penny spent on d decor...Wen u enter it it just looks like a small area wd chairs & tables only...Nuthn 2 fascinate u impress u...D Ambience of a restaurant dt makes u come back again is missing big tym..
All in All if someone's hungry & only wants food dn it's good enough & justifies it's pricing but someone lookin 4 a lil better place...Try somewr else!!!

Food is very tasty and service is too fast. Best food in reasonable price
