Review Marhaba - Kolkata (Calcutta)

I went there with my family on new year evening for dinner and we are so much satisfied with their behavior, food and total atmosphere.. They are reasonable and also have very high quality food. We are so much satisfied that we spend a special evening here.

The restaurant provides decent food with a satisfactory range of options on the menu. The service is prompt, and the staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The ambience is pleasant, albeit not particularly remarkable, offering a comfortable setting for a casual dining experience. While the food may not be exceptional, it is reasonably priced and provides a good value for the money. Overall, it's a suitable choice for a simple and hassle-free meal.

Finding the best restaurant is difficult in Durga Puja, however we did it and went to Marhaba restaurant for dinner✴️. When I was looking at the menu I found all dishes are affordable so we ordered Mix Fried Rice with Chilly Paneer🤤❤️. The mixed fried rice was very tasty and had lots of shrimp, chicken pieces and egg and vegetables😋. Chili Paneer was spicy and delicious and had eight large pieces of paneer. Marhaba restaurant's ambience is classy. Highly recommended🤩.

It is located just opposite Dakshinapan Shopping complex. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was really empty. The ambience is quite nice with nice decor. The beahviour of the staff were quite polite. They provided complimentary Papad which was good. We ordered 🔹Chicken sweet corn soup - The quantity was really good. I am always a big fan of this soup and I was not dissapointed. The taste was really good. 🔹Mixed Fried Rice - Again the quantity was enough for two people. The taste was really nice. 🔹Chicken Munchurian - Now I was a bit surprised to see dhaniya in the bowl. But I must say the dhaniya flavour gave that twist. The taste was really really good. The overall experiene was quite good for me. The service was quite slow which needs to be looked into. I would definitely recommed.

I had gone here for dinner. I ordered chicken sweet corn soup and fish sizzler. Sweet corn chicken soup was good in taste and quantity also more than sufficient. Fish sizzler taste was good and it was properly done. The atmosphere was good. Only air conditioner was kept very low. Overall good.

Went during Durga Puja. Stuffs are very well behaved. Tried chicken biriyani, Quantity and quality is satisfying. The ambience is pretty nice. Overall it was a great experience.

No doubt food quality is very good, but unfortunately their service is too slow 😑. Ordered chelo kabab was was delicious and sizler which took 1 hr to come on the table . Their service is too slow .

Beautiful, cozy place. Tried their steamed momo. It was the best momo I have ever had. The stuffing, the sauce, and even the soup were best. They served complimentary papad. I was in a hurry that day. So, I could not try other food items, but I'll definitely go there again to try other dishes

Food was tasty. Overall the experience was good over here. We ordered vegetable hakka noodles with SCHEZUAN chicken. In dessert we took masala cold driknks, price was reasonable and it didn't take much time to get in as we went on sashthi. It was a great experience. I recommend to everyone to try out their food.

Marhaba is a place on which you can trust blindly- their food, their hospitality, their service, and everything else. I have been going here since 2017, and some dishes I would like to give special mention: Chelo kabab platter Non veg kabab platter Chicken tikka butter masala with tandoori roti Also their Chinese dishes holds a special place in my heart ❤️. The best part is, this restaurant is affordable for students. Marhaba never disappointed me. Once we went at 10 pm in the night, with a fear that we might not get an order that we want. But surprisingly they delivered what we ordered. 😂😂 Thank you Marhaba.

We have made this plan to visit on occasion of one my friends birthday. Primarily we entered the Restaurant near about 5.15 pm in the evening. There was no guest when we visited. They greeted us so gleefully and the entire ambiance of the Restaurant both of them almost satisfied our taste buds almost 50%. Then coming to the most important part. We went there with a small cake as to celebrate while they will prepare the food. But soon after visiting there they asked us that is there anyone's Birthday, if it is then we can decorate the cake for you guys. They nicely decorated the cake and presented it to us and played a song a Birthday in their sound system and as well as in their TV. When we asked them to join us for the celebration then they said that they will click the photograph for us. The created a nice ambiance for us and specially for the birthday girl. They made the celebration more special and took it to a different level. Now coming to the food. We Ordered: Chello Kebab: It was as great as it sounds. Each and every thing was perfectly cooked. They also serves a Mojito with this. It has the perfect blend of mint leaves, lime and soft drink. Chicken Steak Sizzler: This dish was also a perfect one. The taste just cannot be described in words. The chicken was so soft that got melted soon after putting into the mouth. Mutton Biriyani: First time I saw a Biriyani being served with the topping of Beresta ( fried onion). The taste was very nice and the piece of the mutton was very satisfying. It was also perfectly boiled and marinated with the Biriyani spices. They also provides a mixed raita with the Biriyani which I found very tasty thus I didn't shared it with anyone. Chicken Lababdar: The dish was appropriate to have with any kind of bread item or Pulao. It was not to spicy or sweet. It has a mixed taste which I found very interesting to have it with Biriyani also. Butter Nun: The breads were nice in size and with sufficient amount of butter brushed in it. It was not too oily nor too dry. And was very soft after 15-20 minutes also. Blue Lagoon: They gave it as a complimentary drink for our friends birthday. And again it amazed us with it's taste. And importantly the behaviour of the staffs were very decent and nice. They served the food to us on proper time or rather I saw before the time they wanted from us to prepare all the food. They also started their Tandoor before their scheduled time as we requested them that we want to have their Chello Kebab and Sizzler. Lastly thank you team Marhaba for making our day so special. Hope you guys will continue to do so with the visitors.

The food was amazing and delicious I ordered a mocktail and the kebab platter. Both were good. And in the main course I ordered butter naan and chicken tandoori butter masala..

I have tasted cream soup ,This was not cream soup , restaurant don't know what is cream & what is arraroot ,either they think customer is fool or they are over smart, restaurant marhaba manager/ cashier behave like haba they are like haba, will never place order again

The food is very good and there was alot of variety pre lockdown times. One complain I must share is about the Biryani. It was very dry and constantly needed some fluid in order to swallow the Biryani. Hope you guys work on that.

Marhaba is a nice family restaurant. It has a friendly environment and the food items are very affordable and good. The staffs are politr too. This place is famous for there Chinese items. I have tried here few times and others should try here too. It's a nice place.

Marhaba is located in Dhakuria and is known for their multi cuisine delicacies. <br/>.<br/>.<br/>I visited Marhaba on 4th of September 2020 to try contact less dining, but I was shocked to know that they were not yet ready with the procedure. The manager told me that Zomato did not upload the menu of the restaurant in the contact less dining system. Then I thought of ordering something from the menu given on Zomato, and again I was shocked to know that the menu was outdated and they did not serve those dishes anymore.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Finally I ordered chicken Reshmi Kebab, Mixed Hakka noodles and chicken in hot garlic sauce. The food quality was good and the quantity too was sufficient.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>The ambiance is very soothing and relaxing and one would enjoy the dining experience here.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>If I had not faced this issue I would have rated 5 stars easily.

This place is very near to my house ..so paid visit multiple times I liked their Indian dishes like naan ,butter chicken ,but biryani is not up to the mark.

Ordered Galauti kebab through Swiggy (I expected good food from the reviews). What I received was basically stale meat patties, with over-powering kewra water. Could only manage a few bites and then fell sick.

Recently I went to this place. A few days back when they had the Zomato Gold offer I paid a visit and tried their some mughlai dishes. Those were really good 👌. But this time I have tried Chinese cuisine. Though I made a reservation through dineout so there were complementary mojitos for each diner. Visited this place yesterday. Had been hearing about it from friends. It is just by the side of the road near Dakshinapan, just opposite to the petrol pump in dhakuria. It is a small place but decor is decent. I had ordered chicken tikka kebab, chicken dum biryani and American Chopsuey . The kebab at first served was totally cold. On complaining to the staffs they immediately changed it though. The biryani taste was not that good. But the american chopsuey was really good in taste. The prices are okayish only. And the staff behaviour is also good.

This is a hidden treasure near Jodhpur Park bus stand. I guess it is newly opened. Now come to the decor, It is okay. Place is hygiene Not to fancy. Staffs are professional and well behaved. Foods are good. We had Fish Tikka Kebab, Chicken Peswari Kebab. Mutton Special Biriyani( contains 2 Big Piece of Mutton, One Egg and Potato), Chicken Lababdar, Butter Naan, Sahi Tukda and Rainbow Mocktail. Not Too Expensive Menu.

This restaurant is just opposite of Dakhinapan and easily noticable from the main road. I found the ambiance to be nice but nothing to fancy and the waiters were very polite. This place is popular for its indian dishes but we tried out their chinese cuisine. For starters we had tandoori chicken, lat meh kai chicken, crispy Konjee chicken and for the main course we had the mixed and chicken fried rice along with their garlic fish and hot pepper chicken. The food tasted great and they served 8 pieces of chicken/fish for each dish, so this place is pretty pocket friendly. Would highly recommend this place !

Late review<br/>Revisited Marhaba during Durgapuja 2019 after Durgapuja 2018. Went in immediately after it opened at 1 pm. Just after 5 minutes the place was packed with hungry pandal hoppers. Coming to the review:<br/>Ambiance- 4/5. Dimly lit with good music playing in the background. Although the place is a bit small but one would not feel uncomfortable while sitting.<br/>Food- With respect to what we ordered:<br/>Reshmi kebab- 3.5/5 not the most soft kebabs but taste wise it was good.<br/>Veg fried rice- 3.5/5 just like any other veg fried rice, quantity was less as per the price.<br/>Chicken Manchurian- 3/5 don't know why felt like the chicken pieces were meant to be cooked a bit more as it was a bit tough. Taste of the gravy was okay. <br/>Paneer Butter Masala- 5/5 This was the softest the most tender paneer I have had in my entire life. The paneer just melted in my mouth. Located beside Narendra Seva Trust and close to Tandoor Park. The restaurant might look small from the outside but it is quite big. To be honest, I didn't expect such a good food quality from there!! But the taste of the noodles was too good, and the side dish was probably chicken Manchurian. As starter, we took butter garlic fish. Too good in taste they were.

This multicuisine restaurant is near Dhakuria petrol pump and very easy to locate. I visited here on Puja. We were hungry and was searching foor a good restaurant with comparatively less crowd. We didn't have to wait for long here to get a seat. Then we ordered for a butter garlic fish, egg hakka noodles and hot garlic chicken. The fish used in the starter was very fresh but it was a bit salty. Else it'd have been one of the best starters I've ever had. The quantity and quality of the main course were very good. Located at a prime location in Dhakuria and just 2 steps away from Tandoor Park. Visited the place on Nabami night and had to wait for an hour to get inside. We ordered Butter Nan (Good), Peas Polao (Good), Kadai Paneer (Very Good) and Chicken Lababdar(Very Good). Also 1 Onion salad, Ice cream for dessert and 1 mocktail (Rainbow something was the name). Visited this place on Saptami. Had to wait for a while for our turn, which is obvious during Pujo. The decor is decent and the staffs are courteous and prompt. We ordered crispy honey lemon chicken, mixed hakka noodles, ginger chicken, butter naan, chicken curry and green cooler for mocktail. The quantity and quality of the food was impressive and pocket friendly as well. I recommend this place for all those who search for some good tasty food at an affordable cost.

When you asked them for normal water,they Always told that the tap for normal water is not working hence give you the packaged water and charged 30rs+gst (for 20rs kinley bottle).<br/>That is so...<br/>Cz once the tap may not be working is ok. This restaurant is located at Dhakuria and hence easy to locate. Well visited this place on a Monday evening and I must say that the behavior of the staff was very courteous. We ordered a Mixed Tandoori Platter which comprises of 6 varieties of kebabs (2 each variety) and it was totally delicious then we ordered a Chicken Steak Sizzler which tasted good. In the main course we ordered Butter Tandoori Roti and Chicken lababdar. I would highly recommend people to try both the chicken lababdar and this mixed platter because it was worth the price. The quantity and quality both are good and prices are moderate. Well in all it was a lovely experience.

A decent dining place on the busy Jodhpur Park rather to be precisely Dhakuria area.Seems underrated rather unrated beside then great presence of Tandoor Park but food is decent and price is quite pocket friendly. Chinese quality and quantity seems quite upto the mark and worth the bucks

Visited this place for lunch and it turned out to be a great choice. The best thing about this place is its food and staff. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and will ensure that one has a great time in there. We ordered sweet corn and vegetable soup, crispy chilli baby corn, fried rice and veg manchurian. All of them were delicious. Along with these we were given complementary papad.<br/>The ambience too is well suited but a softer choice of music would make it even better. The only drawback in my view is finding a parking spot in the area. Definitely visit this place if you are in the locality and want to dine in with friends or family.

I went here with my family and had an amazing time there. Decoration is decent. Service is cordial and warm. We ordered plenty of dishes and so we brilliant except the biryani. They need to uplift the taste of their biryani. And one more thing, the side dishes we ordered, namely mutton bhuna, pomfret tawa masala and chicken lababdar tasted more or less the same. They need to look into that too.

Have been to this place quite a number of time. But my recent experience was really shocking. We were four members and we had two Zomato gold's. The waiter who took our order was very courteous but was very ill informed about the menu and service of the restaurant and due to which we had to suffer. We were informed that a plate fish tikka comes with 6 pieces but we were served only 4 pieces. When we said this, the guy who served the food said " I am extremely sorry. Lastly, the restaurant messed up with the billing too. When we unlocked the Zomato Gold we asked the waiter, which two dishes will be discounted. He specifically mentioned the middle priced two dishes will be set off. But in reality the second highest and the fourth highest priced dishes were set off. The cashier refused to call up the manager and settle the issue. The only excuse that they gave us is "The waiter is new, he doesn't know much. It's been only 2-3days he joined the restaurant." Why should the customer suffer because of the inabilities of the staffs of the restaurant. Will never recommend anyone about this restaurant in future.<br/>

I went there couple of months ago but forgot to review. This place is very easy to locate.. Situated near, dhakuria. I went there to celebrate my parents' anniversary. They really liked this place. Ambience was too good. Staffs were very courteous and helpful too!!!<br/>*food was also very good in taste. I ordered one galuti kabab... Yammmmn that was my favorite. Giving a very late review, i visit this place on bengali new year 2019. To easy to find.. jst right beside the main road.. we had some issue regarding Zomato gold, bt latter it was sorted.. due to festive mood, the crowd was heavy, and the staffs were not prepared.. so the service was a bit delayed, bt even aftr all those, the taste of the food was up to the mark... We enjoyed the food. As after so long days back the taste of the foods remind me of this restaurant..

We have just returned after having our lunch ... It's strategic location, courteous staff, and quality food calls for a thumbs up. I especially appreciate how welcoming they are towards children. However, the air conditioners need a little bit of servicing. It would have been bit more comfortable for us in this sweltering weather. But good going

The location of the eatery is why we decided to go to this place. It's on the main road next to Tandoor Park at Dhakuria. The first thing I noticed about this place was a stench of some sorts mixed with that of camphor. I am not sure what it was. We ordered for two Biryani using zomato gold. They have very restricted menu when you want to use zomato gold. One cannot order any special item like chello kebab or even a special biryani under the zomato gold scheme. Food was very mediocre nothing worth mentioning much. I haven't come across any restaurant before under zomato gold scheme with such restrictive choices.

Sorry... but could not be polite about this place. The worst hospitality I have ever experienced!! Went to the place and we had one Zomato gold membership so asked for it. First of all we were said they couldn't serve any kebab right now as the tandoor was closed. Then I asked for sizzler... and they denied to serve it also as sizzlers are their special menu and special menus don't come under any offer. I was shocked because no such condition was mentioned about any restaurant when I was buying the membership. Availing this membership from last two months, went to many restaurants but never faced such cheap behaviour. The chelo kebab was not available as well :) :)<br/>We were forced to try their chinese items. Guys do mention things properly that you are not able to serve kebabs before your suitable timings, do mention you are not willing to serve sizzlers on gold membership offer. Please do!! Otherwise people have so many better choices than you.. just beside your restaurant there is Tandoor Park and Blue mug on the opposite lane. They don't provide any zomato gold offer still both places are crowded enough. Do you know why?? Because they don't have any cheap business policy like you.

Bad behaviour, bad management. Last Puja time I've visited, they always try to arrange seat for large party not for small means within 4 person party.

Went to this place on a Sunday night. Just next to tandoor park which was full,we thought of giving this a shot since we had heard about this place. A homely ambience, courteous staff, it started well. But slowly it started showing true colours.<br/>There were more people to serve the food than there were to actually cook the food! They recommended special recipes which were not in the menu, but they were not available either. Why recommend then?!<br/>Most of the starters were not available as none of the kebabs were not marinated. The starters took forever to come! And it was not just us, everyone around started getting anxious as it was over half an hour and even the starter hadn't arrived. Then after the first starter, it took another hour to get the 2nd starter. Meanwhile they took the main course order which arrived along with the starters. There was no place to keep all the food on the table! If you don't have enough people working, you should tell your customers in advance that it would take time.<br/>And to add to the misery, with people coming in, the place started to get hot and suffocating. We asked for the AC to be adjusted but they said it's running at the coolest setting. A place that serves Sizzlers should have decent working ACs atleast! That was for the experience.<br/>For the food, the size of the drumsticks were unacceptable given the price. Even roadside stalls give better pieces! The sizzler was 350rs but the size of the steak was as small as a fish fry. Not enough for even a child!<br/>Overall, disappointing experience in a place where we had very high hopes. I hope this was one of those days and is not so terrible always, but I will definitely not visit this place again! First impression is the last impression you see, specially in service industry!!

Well Well Well.. Obviously 4.5. It was my second visit. First wasn't good enough because i was told at that time Kebabs weren't available and how can i complete my meal without kebabs😅. So i left the restaurant at that time. This was a fine visit. I enjoyed the company of the staffs and the food was really delicious and the place was delightful. I can recommend the kebabs. Those were awesome. Thanks Guys.. Hope I will visit again✌️✌️

After shifting to Kolkata, this is the new place I saw in Dhakuria. The name is interesting and so I thought to drop by. The interior is nicely decorated but small in space. Staffs are courteous and helpful. The menu is an elaborated one, they have Persian to Afghani to kashmiri, tandoor and also Chinese. There are several combos available and you can have different mocktails. We ordered, tangri kebab and mutton Rogan Josh with chapati. Taste wise it was alright, will drop by to try out different cuisines.

We visited this place a long time ago but forgot to review it.<br/>The ambience of this is place is pleasing, not over the top kinds with a medium size seating arrangement.<br/>So tried their<br/>➡ Reshmi kebab : the kebab was not burnt or over cooked or undercooked. It was soft and juicy with right amount of flavours all over it. Recommended<br/>➡butter naan and butter masala : speaking about the butter masala , it was not greasy kind of and was cooked very well but nothing extraordinary.<br/>Overall experience was good but one con they have is their service was very slow.<br/>

This was the 3rd time that I visited this place and the taste , quality and the quantity never disappoints me. The decor is simple and minimalistic. The people serving in the restaurant are polite as well. Today I went with my mother and we ordered a Peshwari Kebab as the appetizer which was delicious and for the main course we had an egg fried rice and the schzewan prawn which were also fresh and tasted really good. All in all , I always love coming to this place. 😊

This place is located just near dhakuria more. Good ambience. Food is very good. But the staffs were not very much friendly they didn't know how to make a customer understand some of the things. Anyway apart from that it is a good restaurant.

Visited this outlet last month and had a wonderful experience. Coming to their food, all the items that we ordered were superb in taste. We ordered chicken peshwari kebab, the decoration was excellent of that dish and taste is also extraordinary, then we ordered mutton biriyani and a side dish mutton do pyaza, these two items were overall good and the biriyani is highly recommended. Lastly we ordered their specialty which is mocktail named rectar plant which is very refreshing and fresh. They have a large mocktail section. Overall my visit went well and would like to visit again.

Ambience was nice and staff were courteous and helpful. The service was also fast . Coming to the food quality and quantity, the food tasted really awesome , it was much beyond my expectation and masala khulcha needs a special mention since its taste was too good at the price it was sold. Overall I would definitely look forward to visit again.

Without being biased just to share little experience with you all . Service which I received from Marhaba it's really great their behavior it's great and taste of food it's ok but two negative point I find that when I order butter Nan i find it little bit oily and the table where the food is being served is really short and congested overall ok type it's ambience is good enough and its situated in proper location.

I went here quite a few times... No doubt the food is awesome but this time they charged a false amount for a dish which I had not ordered.. It was my mistake that I Did not go through the bill properly n paid the amount but it was very wrong from their side.<br/><br/>

Yesterday, went to this outlet near dhakuria bus stand beside narendra seva kendra, quite nice restaurant, with good sitting arrangements, and a lovely ambience, all sorts of pleasurable items are available on the menu but that's not the reality, because most of the dishes are not available and even mocktail was also unavailable, even there was only one stuff who was taking the orders and also serving, inspite of long que, don't know why, that kept us waiting and irritated.<br/>Coming to the dishes, we ordered crispy honey chicken, half tengri kabab and chinese chopsuey, only the kebab we found was nice and delicious but the rest two dishes were below par. The peice is also a bit high, so if u want good food and variety of it in a little pocket punch, don't visit this place.

First we ordered mutton seekh kabab, but the preparation was so hard that cutting it with a knife was difficult. But they changed it. After this we ordered tangri kabab, masala kulcha and chicken tikka butter masala. The taste of chicken tikka butter masala was very very good. They also give complimentary baked papads. To sum up it's a nice and decent place to visit.

The staff were busy catering a large group, who came after us.<br/>The ambience was quite relaxing.<br/>Talking about food we ordered kababs, Naans, Butter Chicken and Chicken Lababdar.<br/>The food tasted quite good and one can visit it if you want good food at a reasonable price.

Visited this eatery a week before on a weekday evening for a takeaway. They recommended chelo kebab as one of their signatures dish. Just horrible. The chicken kebabs were all burnt, mutton sheekh kebab was like a stone. Only the rice and the egg with the sunny side up was only edible, hence rated 2.0. That also the price is too high. Complete waste of money.
