To all the south Indians, your food problem is solved once you step in to this place. The taste and service was excellent for me and my dad. We had Unlimited 499/- combo food. Every bite of what we had was worth it. From the soup to the paan it was very tasty. I will visit again soon.

I had one of the most delicious buffet at the least cost possible. It was Rs 2000 (for 4 people) with unlimited lip smacking food. If you are looking forward to one of the delicious food options at the least cost. Go for it!

Visited this beautiful restaurant a while ago to try their unlimited veg buffet with live bbq! Have to say it is truly a paradise for vegetarians. Items in the buffet were- 2 types of Soup Starters : Crispy Corn Hara Bhara Kebab Achari Paneer Tikaa Aloo Chutney Wala Mains : Paneer Makhanwala Veg Chatpata Masala Dal Tadka Jeera Rice Veg Biryani Assorted Indian Breads Baked Macaroni With Pineapple Dessert : 2-3 types of Ice Cream Single Serve only All the items are equally good. Loved the live bbq grill. The service and hospitality is great. Highly recommended place for veg lovers!

Looking for the best pure vegiterian restaurant with perfect ambience in Sector V? Then Saffron Restaurant is the right place for you. This place is located at Shop R 4B, Plot, Podium Level, Godrej Waterside, 5, DP Block, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata. Recently they have launched a Italian Menu for their customer which you can't miss. Coming to the food we had : We started with Cream of Broccoli Soup, Cheese Garlic Bread and Corn Cheese Fritters. The soup was very creamy and delicious, it was a perfect appetiser to start the meal, tasted really good with the garlic bread. The fritters were perfectly crispy on the outside and very cheesy on the inside. For maincourse we had Veg Lasagna, Dal Makhani Pizza and Paneer Tikka Pizza. The Lasagna was average but I absolutely loved the Dal Makhani Pizza here, it was totally unique. If you are a Paneer lover don't forget to try their Paneer Tikka Pizza. Overall I had a great experience. I would love to recommend this place to everyone.

A place that has the ability to attract vegetarians as well as non vegetarians . Saffron is one of many outlets of Sankalp group serving north Indian delicacies. Located inside Godrej waterside building this is a spacious and busy place where office goers dine in to have their lunch without spending much . They also serve Jain food hence everyone can enjoy their type of food . Service is fast and prompt which adds up to their attributes. They are presently serving this amazing unlimited veg buffet meal with live barbecue . Prices range from 399 for lunch on weekdays and 499 for weekdays dinner as well as weekends for both lunch and dinner. So what do you get in this buffet? Here is the detailed list of items that i got for my lunch . Kicked off with Cheese corn tomato soup , thick and full of flavours. Then the starters started arriving on the table which had crispy corn , smoky sizzler , gobi manchurian dry . On the live grill we had barbecue aloo and kasori paneer tikka . Crispy corn had marinated and fried sweet corn kernels with a touch of lemon juice . The sizzler consisted of vegetable tikkas tossed in spicy red sauce with both rice and noodles , grilled veggies and french fries accompanied the sizzler . The sizzler was impressive and i prefered it with rice more than noodles. Dry gobi manchurians were simple vegetable pakoras that were crispy and tasty. The main of attraction was the live grill at the centre of the table were potatoes and paneer were placed on skewers marinated with spices and left over the fire to complete it's presentation. They both were just average . For the mains , they served baked macaroni with pineapples something unique and exquisite . The pineapples combined very well with cheese and macaroni to create something very good which was appreciated by my tastebuds . Then the north Indian delicacies started arriving one by one. There were paneer amritsari , mixed veg lucknawi , methi aloo, naan , roti , methi paranthe , butter kulcha , onion kulcha , pudina paranthe , butter kulcha , dal tadka , jeera rice ,veg biryani . The paneer amritsari is something notable among the dishes along with dal tadka and all the Indian breads . Finally it was time for the desserts and sadly you can get only one serving of the dessert as per their rule . We got hot gulabjamun which was again a winner of a dessert . It was not much sweet but was very soft . It was served hot on the table and instantly i finished mine . My picks from the buffet would be Cheese corn tomato soup, crispy corn , dry gobi manchirian , paneer amritsari stuffed paranthe and the gulab jamun .

Few days ago i was there with my friends.Its a pure veg resturant and they are serving unlimited veg buffet at just 399/- + GST.We had - Smoky sizzler Creamy tomato soup Tandoori aloo Kasoori paneer In main course - Paneer butter masala Dal tadka Veg biryani Naan kulcha And many more.The menu was really huge. And the quality of the food was great nd was too delicious.Their hospitality was also good.Surely will visit again.

It's one of the best South Indian restaurant. They do serve other cousins. Taste is above satisfaction. Family restaurant. They do allow a small anniversary or birthday celebration at the lounge. Must try Rawa dosa, veg biryani.

A sister concern of the famed International brand Sankalp, Saffron is situated in the same building as the one which houses Sankalp near Godrej Waterside, Salt Lake. Projected as an economical fine dining option for pure vegetarian lovers, Saffron is currently providing to its patrons a live barbeque grill option, along with unlimited set menu ala-carte meal at an economical price of just Rs. 399/-. This would include two soups, two starters, one baked item, breads, Dal, 3 main course and a dessert. We started with a lovely Cheese Corn Tomato Soup before moving on to starters like crispy corn and smokyzz sizzler. The sizzler was a real attraction here, with a well-done vegetarian patty being sizzled wonderfully over a bed of hakka noodles and chilli garlic rice, along with some crispy French fries. The patty was done to perfection, and the richness of the fried rice, balanced the otherwise bland noodles, and together paired with the veg patty, was a complete one-meal experience in its entirety. For the live barbeque, we were provided with Kasoori Panner Tikka and Barbeque Aloo. Moving on, we tried a wonderful baked Macaroni with Pineapple. The Macaroni had ample cheese with it, with the tartness from the pineapple, balancing the richness of the cheese. For main course, we gorged upon Mixed Vegetarian Lucknowi, Methi Aloo and Paneer Amritsari. Among staples, Vegetarian Biryani paired well with Mix Veg Lucknowi and Paneer Amritsari. Butter Kulcha was a perfect accompaniment to the Methi Aloo and the rich and buttery Dal Tadka. The last dish of the day was the sweet Gulab Jamun. Vegetarian resturant , north and south Indian both are served here . Internet connection inside is bit slow so take cash . Overall a great resturant with polite behavior of people . The price is a bit high but you won't regret it.

Best South Indian food i had in kolkata bit expensive but worth it nice staff service little slow location wise good all in all great ambiance would recommend it..

Went there thinking of having South Indian food but ended up eating ₹499 all you can eat (only North Indian food) for the lunch. It was all decent food, nothing extraordinary but nothing was bad. Flavours were there in all items but that distinct taste(wow factor), that gives you urge to come again n again was missing. They ofcourse had various South Indian items available as well, pricing was quite decent. Ambience was good. Seats were easily available when we went there on Thursday afternoon.
