Review Ajooba Biryani Centre - Kolkata (Calcutta)

One of the best biryani in Jadavpur is Ajuba Biryani. Although the price is low, there is no compromise with the quality. The piece is so small, be it chicken or mutton. The rice is also quite neat. Also the test is also Khasa. I had chicken biryani with extra chicken and potato pieces which costed ₹120 (Chicken Biryani costs only ₹90).

One of the amazing Biriyani shop. In this area, this is the only affordable and good quality biriyani shop. Atmosphere is too low, and short.

Just look at the piece of mutton! 🤤 For just 105 rupees! The mutton biryani was delicious. Incredible amount of quantity and superb taste and quality for that price. They also have chicken and mutton chaap, kasha and beverages. Dining also available with super quick service. Do visit this place. One of the best biryani's I've ever had that too in that price. I'll be a regular at this place from now on and you should too.

Ajooba Biryani Centre is a very small biryani shop located near Kalibari lane. It doesn't have any elaborate seating area and is essentially a takeaway. It is a very well known biryani centre here but somehow never really reached out to it though it is just at a stones throw from my home. The other day, was hungry late at night and decided to order 2 Egg Chicken biryani. Firstly, the service was really fast and hassle free. And secondly, the biryani was really good: 1⃣ Good quantity, enough for one person. 2⃣ Not too oily, not too dry. Very moist biryani 3⃣ The chicken pieces were quite soft and a large leg piece was provided in both the packets. 4⃣ It is very pocket friendly. We paid Rs 75 for one packet of biryani. 5⃣ Most importantly, the fragrance in the biryani wasn't too strong which is a big plus point for me. To be very honest, had no expectations from a biryani costing 75 rs but to our surprise it was really good!

Biriyani is light.. Not so much of masala in it. But it is pocket friendly.

Do yourself a favour and never order from this place again. The biryani is cooked in stale oil and the chicken seemed like a leftover from weeks before. The packaging was the worst, to say the least. Go find yourself some other enlisted restaurant from zomato, put fifty or a hundred bucks extra, but atleast have some good food.<br/>

The price is way too less than other biriyani joints. Mutton's quality can be improved.

Most vogus biriyani. Very very bad and it's delivery charge is very high. And is quality is so poor.. And is chiken pieces is very short. Packet is too short.

I'd order 2 plates of chicken biriyani on last Sunday. The quality of rice was fine but the chicken was not at all. First of all the leg piece had nothing left to eat and also the meat was dry and tasteless. Not only that, the chicken felt not so fresh and also bit old which made it difficult to digest. Due to which me and my family members felt sick the next day. This was quite a dreadful experience I had regarding biriyani in my life.

I ordered in from Zomato. They have a wide range of different Mughlai cuisines. The chicken kosha was little too spicy snd salty but as compared to the price, the quantity is really good. Apart from that, i ordered a plate of chicken biriyani and a plate of mutton biryani, both was really good. The chiken chap was really fesh and tasted delicious. The prices are also very reasonable.

Ordered late night from here, on time delivery with good packaging. Food was delivered hot and fresh. Ordered 1 mutton biriyani combo and 1 aloo biriyani. In the combo there was 1 packet mutton biriyani, 1 plate chicken chaap and a 250ml sprite bottle. Both biriyani and chaap was tasty, though chaap was bit oily still it was yummy with a mediocre piece of chicken. In mutton biriyani there was also a mediocre piece of mutton,an egg, and a whole aloo. Quantity was enough for 2 and prices are pocket friendly. Everything was good except the fact that in combo it was written 300ml coke and I received 250ml sprite.

This place is the worst to order food online previously the food was okay few months ago but now like i order mutton kossa i recieved only bones in a gravvy now what is this they are always cheating more over this was the last i went into their low price trap serving rubish with total authenticity !

Biryani in Kolkata comes in all shapes sizes and variants.. Among them Ajooba is a budget takeaway counter primarily.. The biryani rice is long grained and not sticky... The taste is nice... The mutton pieces could have been better however... But the biryani comes with an egg and that's a relief... Value for money

I ordered from zomato. I ordered chiken biriyani at the rs 60 because zomato give me discount. At the rs 60 the chiken biriyani is sooo good just amazing. The quantity is huge. The rice is so flavour full and the chiken was tinder and soft. The packaging was good also. And yeahh the potato was so good.

Recently I ordered two spcl chicken biriyani .They send me in container with a egg+ aloo(size was big)+ two pics chicken and I ordered chicken kasa for side dish and i was a lil bit disappoint for the taste of kasa so, I will not recommended chicken kasa. You can buy any other side dish like- chicken chap.

This is a small eatery in Jadavpur residential area of Kolkata close to Jadavpur University. They offer very cheap and tasty Biriyani for only 65 rupees Hygiene is acceptable but not top notch. Best to just take away and have at your home. Ajooba the owner of the shop personally handles the affairs and some times acts a bit harsh when the place gets very crowded.
