Review Karim's Food Safari - Kolkata (Calcutta)

Sagnik Das
My most recent favourite is this place. Really tasty, and you won't feel too heavy after eating the biryani as well. Their service was flawless even during the rush in Durga puja season. Very satisfied with the service.

This is the original Karim's restaurant from Delhi jama masjid. I ordered lehsooni murg tikka, chicken jahangiri and tandoori roti. Lehsooni murg tikka : It's less spicy than normal tikka and full flavour of garlic and butter. Tikkas are soft and melts in the mouth. Chicken jahangiri : Contains four pieces of chicken, it tastes tangi. Absolutely heaven with tandoori rotis.

We visited the hatibagan branch for lunch. We ordered Tandoori Murg Burra(Chicken Tandoori), Special Mutton Biryani, Khamiri Tandoori Roti and Jahangiri Chicken. I was a bit worried about the quality as we visited on "sosthi" of Durga Puja. But to our surprise, all the items were very tasty specifically the tandoori chicken which was very succulent. Also, the Khamiri Tandoori Roti was the item we tried for the first time and I would recommend everyone to go for it. It has a different texture and taste from normal Tandoori that we generally have. Mutton Biryani was a bit more oily, but tasted nicely and the mutton was also pretty tender and soft. Biryani was served with one aloo but no egg. Overall the experience was very nice and it cost approx Rs. 1400(for two people).

One the finest Mughlai cuisine restaurants. Food quality was really nice as per the charges. Quantity of food was also very good. Service was fine. Had order Murgh Malai Kebab, Murgh Tangdi, Pan Mojito, Blue Lagoon, Kiwi Mojito & Fresh Lime Soda, Special Ghost Biryani & Kesar Firni. Overall a good dining experience with friends and family.

It's near my home so we visit there often. Can't compliment the food quality enough, be it tenderness of the kebabs or elegance of the biryani. Highly recommended for mughlai food lovers. The only suggestion is to avoid rush season (Puja etc), waiting time and serving time is much higher on those occasions and quality can also be compromised due to excessive demand.
Pritha Bagchi (Sweta)
One of the best and original places in Kolkata to have Mughal dishes. Be it taste, tenderness, services, quantity, quality, everything is satisfactory. People who haven't tried food from here yet, you guys are missing out on an amazing food experience. I would definitely go there again. You guys should too.
ROKI MONDAL
Delicious food , nice atmosphere premium service comes with a premium cost we are going on their 2nd year anniversary to try out their rs 179 biriyani . Biriyani taste heavenly good but the mutton somewhere disappointed me if this the actual quality they serve them I had to say there are better options available in the market. Overall value for money at a discounted price but not sure about the actual quality of the regular biriyani.
Titli Mondal
Yesterday I visited Karim's Hatibagan outlet and it was my first time in Karim's. The ambience was beautiful and royal. I ordered Kolkata murg dum biryani, Murg biriyani anarkali, chicken qorma and lime soda. Food was very tasty with jumbo meat pieces. Highly recommended this Kolkata murg dum biriyani. Quality and quantity of food are so good. Best place for North Indian food

This is my first time visiting Karim's and I must say that I loved it. The ambience will give you a royal vibe. The food quality and quantity compare to the price is worth it. The staffs are very well behaved. And the service is also good. Overall a very nice place to have lunch or dinner.

Served mughlai cuisine. I have visited during Durgapuja so this place has been found overcrowded. Management is so much effective and quality of food is similar as regular.

I recently dined at "Karim's," and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was cozy, with dim lighting and soft music. The menu offered a delightful range of dishes, from classic comfort food to innovative creations. I opted for the mutton biriyani. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff. "Karim's" is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience with superb food and a warm atmosphere. I would recommend you to try biriyani.

Quality, Taste and quantity was good. Atmosphere is also good there but too crowded for Durga Puja.
