Famous Kathleen outlet at city center salt lake in kolkata is at ground floor. When you are really hungry and want some less oily or spicy stuff to have a quick snack can procedd to Kathleen. We had a chilli chicken sandwich and a chicken tikka one. Both were fresh and were served hot.

Rum ball cake and Santas surprise were both equally good. The fish cutlet was a let down though. The chicken spring roll on the other hand was superb.

I visited this shop during Christmas to buy a fruit cake and a plum cake. At Kathleen, I also had a lovely looking cupcake named Holly Nutty Crunch. It was creamy and good in taste. The cakes that we brought home were fresh and good too, filled with the warmth of dry fruits. It's a nice place to buy cakes, pastries and sweet treats.

This outlet is located in the ground floor of City Centre Salt Lake.I tried their pastries and they are good. They also serve cakes and snacks. It is quite popular with those visiting the mall.<br/><br/>Recently, I tried the chocolate pasty from this outlet and it was good!

Hello everyone,<br/>I went to this place yesterday. I must admit I didn't like anything about this place except the variety of pastries and snacks. They do have a wide variety of pastries and snacks but nothing tastes that special.

Located in City Centre 1 Salt Lake. Just near Inox.<br/>What I had <br/>Choco Chip Muffin (Recommended)<br/>It was really good for the price.<br/>Other than that the Chicken pocket is good too.

A very small shop in CC1 ground floor located beside hotspot tent.<br/>I haven't tried any of their pastries so can't comment on that but their Chicken lajawab and chicken parcel are are better than the rest. The price point is moderate ,a bit less than it's competitors lije mio amore, cakes etc.<br/>There is no seating arrangement but can accomodate 7-8 people with enough room.Good for snacks on a tight budget.

I went there today for a quick munch before returning home. I was going to have Chicken Pocket but they recommend Chicken Overload, so I had that. It had four big chicken pieces (think kebab size chicken), and was quite good. It filled up my stomach for the time being. Cost was ₹50, which was really reasonable for a small bite!<br/><br/>So I was satisfied.

Kathleen is a much famed place in Kolkata, but with heavy heart I have to say that it has lost its authenticity. Many a times I had ordered cakes from there for my birthday and other family occasions and they had great taste....The patties, pastries and puffs were also great!!!<br/>Recently, on the 4th of October,2017; I went to Kathleen CITY CENTRE to have something as I was extremely hungry due to my hectic schedule. I ordered CHICKEN BURGER. When the person was heating it I could smell that something was wrong with the food.....when i recieved my food, I gave it a bite and understood that it was<br/>stale....when I asked for a replacement, they changed it and the other ones were stale too.....The bread had totally turned green and it was moulded.....finally i threw the last piece of burger and my money was wasted.....:(<br/>I am shocked that how a reputed place like KATHLEEN can do things like this....<br/>They are playing with people's health and trust...<br/>Altogether, I must say that I will tell my family and friends to never visit KATHLEEN ever..!!!

It is at city center mall. We all know about the story of Kathleen serving cakes, pastries etc. I and my husband went there and tried few of them:-<br/>1. The chicken pocket I found it to be too sour, the pocket was quite soft, they serve good chunks of chicken in it but little care should be given about the over tangy taste it reduces the flavor.<br/>2. We tasted the chicken spring roll which was more or less tasty. <br/>4. We tried black forest cake which was hard, I didn't like it. The sponginess was completely gone. I don't know for how long it's in the freezer. <br/>5. We choose choco-swiss roll which was flavorful, soft and tasty. <br/>6. Finally we tried choco-tart this was my favorite. I loved every bit of it. Filling of choco cream in a chocolaty tart and sprinkled with white chocolate chip.<br/>Overall a mixed experience few of them were good and few were poor. <br/><br/>Sangram Chatterjee <br/>

Pocket pinch is economical .<br/>Staffs are fine<br/>Food is average. <br/>Ambiance is ok types... <br/>Quiet an average  place to visit. <br/>Cakes are not very fresh .

Had just a cheese muffin and paneer patties from here...Both were ok not gud and not so bad either.....But what caught my attention was dey were not accepting card as a mode of payment.... Though they have mentioned that on an A4 sheet but Kathleen being a very old and big name in Kolkata should be taking card payments....

Kathleen Confectioners has several outlets all over Kolkata where a variety of pastries, cakes, patties and other savouries are available. Have tried the different products, but the best is a seasonal item - at Christmas time - Rich Plum Cake. Their Plum Cake is 'heavy' with lots of fruits and plums and has a unique taste.

Located inside city centre mall..<br/>This outlet of kathleen like all others is pretty average..<br/>Nothingg special to mention about..<br/>Every damn thing is veryyy average if not bad..<br/>If u are not dying of starvation and this is only place left in the world, then give it a try,,<br/>Else NOT

I've always loved the chicken lajawab roll from here.<br/>But once, just this once - I found fungus on it.<br/>Since then ,I haven't had them.<br/>However, the chocolate boat is really nice.

This outlet of Kathleen is located near the Inox Movies at City Center 1 .Kathleen has been a favourite of mine since childhood & have visited this outlet on numerous occasions . Today my 3 year old son , who is very fond of pastries , accompanied me to this outlet . He chose Choco Duet but after taking just two bites he refused to have any more . When I tried the rest of the pastry it tasted stale . I was very disappointed to see the degradation of the quality of their products . The behavior of the staffs is also not much to talk about. The place needs drastic improvement in all departments.

Kathleen used to be very popular and a choice of everyone. <br/>But now it has lost its glory. <br/>Quality can be improved a lot. <br/>Very average. <br/>They should now think of improving their pastry quality. <br/>

Visited this place once. Tasted their Rum Ball and Choco Wedge. Kathleen has drastically brought down its quality. This chain of Kathleen used to be popular once. But now I see them selling stale items. Prices has gone up. Staffs behavior not much appreciated.<br/>And I don't see any good reason to visit this store.

Well, I entered this place after much hesitation – as it cuts out a very sorry picture from the outside. This outlet looks quite impoverished (atleast from the outside) and people do not generally develop a gusto of entering into it. However, from the inside, outlet does not give a very negative impression (although, it does not give a positive impression also).<br/><br/>A decent variety of pastries and savouries were available – but the prices seemed quite high – which I guess is due to the high rent charges these people have to bear @ City Center 1. I went for their paneer patties, which was just another mediocre. Mediocre stuffing, mediocre sized, mediocre preparation, mediocre presentation – everything, just average. Hence, the average rating.<br/><br/>Only thing genuinely positive about this place is their prime location – ground floor of the very popular City Center 1 (Saltlake). Otherwise, customers do not have any takeaways from this place. <br/><br/>Service is ok, but renovation is their need of the hour.

The out stop hunger solution for the poor people like us. Price is reasonable... Food quality is good. Tried rumball, submarine, cheese pizza, cold drinks etc. Love this outlet.

If you are in Cc 1 and felling very hungry and have around 100-200 bucks ...then this is the place to eat... U can eat their burger and sandwich they are decent but not that good... Their pastries are good... I have tasted many a times...but not up to the mark

Food is not good. Had their pastries once or twice but found them lacking in proper taste and were stale. Not a good option to try out pastries and stuff like these.

This wasn't exactly the first Kathleen outlet in and around City Center-I, Salt Lake. The first one was located outside City Center, exactly where Only Alibaba stands now! However, with time, and probably due to influx of a larger number of customers owing to the location advantage, the one put up outside shut down and ceased its operations.<br/><br/>The quality here used to be great once upon a time. Fresh and tasty patties, fluffy and creamy pastries, amicable stuffs. But that was then, and today is now! The quality has gone for a toss. They sell stale items. One really doesn't need to have a strong nose to feel the stinking smell! Their pastries now-a-days sucks! As many people have written below, the behavior of the staff here are extremely rude and unprofessional.<br/><br/>This doesn't mean this is a cheap joint to dig in. With their rubbish products, they have equally focused on increasing the prices! One would really need a strong enough reason, to ditch in the likes of Kookie Jar and instead make his/her way here just to dig into the memories of nostalgia!

This outlet is located at city centre. The food items here are stale. I would request my followers never to visit this outlet. <br/><br/>After a long day at work I picked up a parcel comprising veg submarine, veg patties and veg pizza. On reaching home (within 10mins) as I opened the box I could smell something. All items were smelling badly. I did but have the guts to taste them after smelling them. <br/><br/>The management refused to take the responsibility of their items after they were sold saying items which are made using potato smell like that. The staff behaved extremely rude on being complained. <br/>

Been here well nothing special about this place other than the cold welcome we receive. The welcome was uncourteous and our orders unattended to.

I used to come here even 4/5 years ago and enjoy the patties sold here. Sadly, the quality of Kathleen has deteriorated in the last couple of years. The rum balls and pastries taste awful and the icing is stale and not creamy at all. The patties that I've tried recently are crusty and tasteless. The prices are quite cheap, but there are definitely better confectionaries in the same price bracket with better quality of products! The City Centre branch does attract customers who are looking for a quick bite, though. The ambiance and service is fine. But the cakes and savories are not worth trying at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This chain is absolutely a favorite of mine at Kolkata. Bengalis frequent this place to buy evening snacks for adda.<br/>My signature favorite is the truffle boat. It is an awesome sweet dish with lots of chocolates and nuts on boat shaped biscuit. Stunning. <br/>Chicken pizzas and patties are pretty good and economical compared to lot of newer places.<br/>Rate it 3.5

I've been here probably twice or thrice Though hey have multiple outlets throughout the city, the quality of confectioneries is not upto the mark. The food is often stale and not fresh. It is not adviceaable to go for this place. Thumbs down!!

I avoid Kathleen for their lack of varieties and fresh stocks. I've been to their Elgin Road, New Market, Park Street and Lake Town outlets but this is the only place which I have visited quite a few times. They have more varieties compared to their other outlets maybe because of their prime location in the Salt Lake City Centre. Located close to the Inox Box office ticket counters, they attract customers who’re looking for pocket-friendly snacks in a minute or two. Even though the Tea Junction is quite close to this place but it’s packed with hungry and tired customers standing in long queues fighting to reach the counter. So people who prefer getting their orders faster without passersby staring at their plates, visit Kathleen. Among all their items, I’d recommend their Chicken Salad Rolls, Chicken Submarines, Chicken BBQ Pizzas and Chicken Pockets. In short, quality of food is OK, inexpensive and served by efficient staff.

The Costliest bakery among the moderate bakery shops like Monginis, The Sugarr and Spice, and the others.<br/><br/>Frequent visits to Kathleen increased with the advent of shopping malls. City Centre Salt Lake being the prime one. It was post June 2005 when Kathleen launched the “Chicken Salad Roll". It was priced at Rs 20. The roll has had modifications in its taste and colour.<br/><br/>Initially, the cream in the roll had a pinkish tinge which got replaced by white. It is undoubtedly one of my favourite delicacies till date. The price has changed constantly. The rates have been 20-25-28-30-32-35-40. Other than the Salad roll, Chicken Sandwich and Lemon Tart have been a couple of good items.<br/><br/>If you visit shopping malls where there are Kathleen branches, you will have to pay Rs 5 more for each product. So a Chicken Sandwich costs Rs 35 in a roadside branch but at City Centre it is going to cost Rs 40.

Since schooldays I have frequently visited Kathleen whenever I felt like having cakes, pastries and patties. However recently I visited this one in cc1. Its similar to all other kathleens in ambience..where one has to stand and grab a bite or takeaway their food. The service is okay. Coming to the most important part, the food- I would say their pastries aren't really that good. If u try all of their chocolate pastries then you will understand they just look different...but more or less they taste similar. Well if one has to try then one must steer clear off the rum balls...it sucks. The quality of cakes is not quite good..infact they are often stale. Same thing goes for their patties. Its oily, stale, chicken ones do not really have generous amounts of chicken. However I find their pizzas the worst of the lot.Rather I think one should try their rolls...they are quite good...chicken lajawab is really tasty.Prices are really pocket friendly..but quality of food is not up to the mark.

Reviewing this after a recent visit<br/>This place is just Like those every other Kathleen outlets so there's nothing to go in detail<br/>Kathleen does offer a wide range of items but out of those there are few which are actually of good quality, if you try the patties Section, after a single bite you will get to know those are stale and the amount of oil used is clearly visible which will make it unhygienic also<br/>The cakes section will vary<br/>n probably the only quality section is the Roll dept, I would recommend if you visit Kathleen dont waste your money on Cakes n Patties, go for Rolls, they are great, Chicken Salad Roll n Chicken Lajawab Roll are two of my fav

This was my first visit to any of the Kathleen stores as I find them everywhere here and have heard a lot about them and so decided to try it finally. <br/>We had rum balls and other chocolate pastries along with veg patties. The place was nice and spacious as well but I guess it needed little more to do justice with their name. Pastries I guess were not very fresh but the real disappointment was patties which was below average.<br/>I guess I will try some other stores of this chain to know what they really deliver.

This review is after a recent visit to Kathleen to pack away food for our evening tea - I had decided to get four patties and four pastries for the four of us - four chicken pizzas and four chocolate pastries. We packed them home and returned and found out that instead of the chocolate pastries they had packed rum balls. We were still okay with that, but then when we tasted the rum balls we realized they were quite bad - even the strong artificial flavorings could not hide the fact that the cake used to make the balls were probably quite stale.

Nothing exceptional about this place, except that it is a little more spacious than the other Kathleen outlets i'v been to. The food is everyday Kathleen items that you have been eating probably for years. I do have a problem with the quality of the food. At times its okay, but at times they smell fishy. They should really do something about increasing the quality and maintaining it.

This outlet is located just at the entrance of the city center in salt lake. Though it is there for a long time now but there's nothing special about it from other outlets. They have the same old line up of cakes and patties coming from the old age. Personally I don't like kathleen confectionery because of poor quality food. You can hardly find a piece of chicken in any chicken item which is stuffed more with cooked onions with chicken flavour in it. The rum ball sucks big time, feels like a sugar ball with chocolate coating. Food is not that fresh as they can't sell full stock everyday. Prices are not at par with the quality.
