Kaaram is a newly opened restuarant in Park Street which originally opened as a cloud kitchen but later got transformed into a dine in as well. It has been more than 3 months now since their dine in has opened and let me tell you, how beautifully decorated is this place. Earlier it was boutique which got renovated as their dine in. They have kept the decor very minimalistic and chic and most of the designs and artwork displayed there is handmade. Coming to the place, KAARAM has some well behaved staff and serves you with gracious hospitality. There menu has an array of Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian Dishes. My recommendations from the menu will be:- PANIYARAM WITH PEANUT CHUTNEY RASAM WITH LEMON RICE GHEE KARAM RICE CABBAGE AND BHINDI FRY CHICKEN 65 WITH MALABAR PARATHA DATES PAYASAM The Paniyaram is for starters. Made with traditional batter of any dosa or idli, shallow fried and then served with the chutney. The owner of this place suggested to have the rasam and lemon rice kr ghee karam rice with a little bit of gunpowder and topped ghee and with the andhra fried chili on the side and trust me, it does taste good. Have these with cabbage or bhindi fry and it will make for an amazing meal. Or if you are looking for other options as well then a traditional malabar paratha and chicken 65 will be a very good choice for you. All the dishes are purely authentic at Karam. End your meal with Dates Payasam. It's made with vermicelli. Do give this place a try if you want to try something new other than your regular South Indian delicacies. 💕💕

Yesterday I went there to try authentic andhra style biryani. There I had ordered authentic andhra style chicken biryani (contains one egg and three pieces of chicken). It's very tasteful and spicy. I like their ambience as well as customer service also. They accept all payment modes.

On a quaint afternoon me and my gf decided to try out this south indian gem after reading a review in t2. As soon as i entered i was mesmerised by the tasteful and sophisticated interior and the ambience. Most of us have a misconception that south Indian cuisine is all about dosa and idli but one thing i can guarantee is that Kaaram will change that forever. Everything that i had from the chicken 65 to mutton pepper roast to their chicken fry biryani and kodi kura (Andhra style chicken curry) tasted amazing. The food had a very unique flavour that I personally found to be extremely delicious. The behaviour of the staff and the owner was extremely warm and welcoming. One of the best dining experiences i have had in a while. Cheers

The most authentic Andhra meal I ever have/had in West Bengal 👍👍👍👍 PS: the bill served to you will have service charges added by default. You need to review it before paying should you not want to pay it.

Wonderful Andhra cuisine. Particularly enjoyed the mutton pepper fry, and the papad and mirchi served alongside all the food. The date payasam at the end was just the cherry on top of a great meal. Also have to commend them on the beautiful decor and great service. Even though we turned up regrettably late and close to closing time, they served us exceptional food and allowed us to enjoy our meal before they shut for the night.

I entered this place for the first time and was a little sckeptical, really am I getting the andhra cusiine that I had enjoyed during my days in AP? or is it just a make belief. To my satisfaction, the food was absolutely delicious, absolutely authentic and I enjoyed every moment of my meal there with my wife. We had ordered for a veg meal and a mutton biriyani ( please DO NOT GO WITH AN EXPECTATION OF KOLKATA BIRIYANI ... BOTH ARE WAY DIFFERENT. ) This was totally how I had expected, spice levels great. and to top it off I had gongura pickle which is authentic to Andhra available. The veg meal was served on banana leaves and from the rice, to the vegetables , the ghee, dal and accessories. it was a complete package. Even after having a hearty meal I did not have the feeling of heaviness and I hope to be back there again sometime to have another amazing lunch... Cheers to the Kaaram Team.

Loved the interior. Specially the creativity with the fabric on the walls, the texture, seating arrangements, and everything else. Hospitality was amazing. The staff was professional, polite, and always at service. The food.. Where do I start.. Each dish has its own flavor.. The rich flavors of masala and the essence of biryani, I still crave for it. I have visited this place twice and intend to visit again and again and again! Biryani here is a must try! Different from the usual Kolkata biryani. The curry was more than enough for one person. As per taste, I have no words to describe it. Although, I found the prices to be a bit high. But when each bite of the rich flavors land my mouth, everything else just vanishes in the background! :)

The food here lives upto the expectation. We can have authentic Andhra cuisine over here. I will recommend this place to spice lovers and those who are willing to try a different cuisine or somebody who can relate themselves with south India. I myself, am from South India so I was excited to visit the place and the food here completely justified the flavours of Andhra. One thing i would say is, they could extend their menu. There are many other dishes from Andhra that can be relished with love. They can come up with more of Andhra Tiffins and also Mandi can be a good option. I haven’t yet found Mandi in any of the restaurants across Kolkata. This is my review for “Kaaram - The Andhra Kitchen” .
