So it was one of my friend's wedding anniversary and their treat when i visited this particular restaurant at Westin. First of all it's got a beautiful Maa Durga structure on the wall which catches your eye. Second thing best about the hotel is their courteous staff who are always willing to help. Then when i reached Seasonal tastes I fell in love with the huge buffet spread that they had. Can you guess what, i got so lucky that it turned out to be World's Nutella day that particular day and this place had one of the most amazing desserts one could think of. I'm a huge fan of Mezze platter and the lavash, falafel, hummus everything was on point. What really surprised me is the north Indian dishes that they served, dal makhani is one of the best i had on this planet. You just can't miss it. Please don't! Else you will regret. One quick tip, if you going for live counters like pasta or noodles, make sure you stand there and give the instructions and also let them know the quantity as otherwise it might go waste as its too much for one person. Also, want to quickly mention the fruits that they serve, they are so fresh and yummy. Basically, everything was so good so maje sure you don't eat anything since morning and try out everything here. Overall visiting this place is a must not just for lovely ambience but ofcourse for the delicious food. I have never tried the breakfast spread here but will definitely do that too soon as heard even that's awesome.

Been there three times. Twice for dinner, once for lunch. The food selection particularly the desserts is amazing. Polite and courteous staff. Great service as well
I have visited Seasonal taste to celebrate my Mother's b'day... And I was so amused with the ambience and its food quality ... I went there again for my Fiance's B'day... Both experience was great.. I have visited few 5* Hotel, but I was really with their menu and it's taste..
But here items were different, you have huge option in continental section... Taste of every preparation was good and desserts are heavenly... All Westin Staff were so friendly and helpful.
For a very long time , a 5 star in South kolkata was the best when you considered restaurants in 5 stars of the city...not anymore ! Westin has them beat and by a fair margin....it is a savior for foodies like us in the current situation who can't visit their favorite restaurants!
The food is just awesome with the service( Mr. Shankar always takes good care of us) and packaging which u expect from a premium property.

I reached Westin at 2:45PM, only 15 minutes before the buffet ends. Obviously spending Rs.1500 per person at Seasonal Tastes to get access to the buffet only for 15 minutes makes no sense. To my surprise they still welcomed us very well.
I got a table and frankly asked them about the time I'm going to get for the buffet. At first they were bit confused, later on they came to me and said we'll extend the buffet for another half an hour for you. This premium service is what you expect from a 5 star place and they totally won it.
Ambiance is as premium as you expect from a 5 star property, actually I loved this place. Its so spacious, everything feels so premium and worthwhile for the amount you pay. But I'll recommend you to reach on time, specially for enjoying what they've put together for your brilliant experience.
You can have a look at the top of the building till 31st floor standing in center of the restaurant and that is the best attraction here according to me.

Usually when I write review about any buffet restaurant, I mention all the dishes present in the buffet. But here I simply got tired, there were so many cuisines, so many dishes to explore and many live counters that I couldn't note them all.
Starters were fresh and simply brilliant in taste. The service was so good that they served many dishes from live counter on our table. Live counter dishes made by chefs in front felt just incredible.
Mains are where many premium restaurants compromise, but not at Seasonal Taste. There were more than 20 different kinds of breads available, rice from steamed butter rice to Biryani everything you can expect. Again multiple cuisines and multiple curries, mutton, fish, chicken every other main course tasted good. But obviously I couldn't taste all of them.
Dessert section, my god it was huge. From all the Indian sweets to every other fruit and mousse, you just can't try all of them in a single visit. Once you take something on your plate I bet you can't put it down, those were so damn tasty.

Weekend Lunch at Westin costs Rs.1450. They add 18% of GST not 5% as its a luxury property, that makes the price Rs.1711 per head. If you're Dineout GP member then you get 1+1 at this price. Considering some newly opened basic restaurants in the city charging Rs.350-400 per dish, this one is steal of a deal.

I've been to many 5 star buffets but Seasonal Tastes of Westin serves one of the best lavish buffet in Kolkata. Top notch ambiance and service, wonderful food quality in every cuisine. If you want best of best buffet then I'll highly recommend this place.
Visited to attend a South Asian Food Festival. The experience did not meet expectations in terms of quality and variety of food that should have been included in the food festival. Overall ambience and service are good though.
Seasonal Tastes is a 5-Star Restaurant Section at The Westin, Rajarhat. Located just opposite to Eco Park in Newtown, this is a luxurious section for all types of food variant depending on whatever speciality you wish to choose
The premium lounge with the phenomenal seating area along with the live music stage and imported beverages needs no description. The buffet counter with live kitchen serving amazing varieties like Bengali, India, Tandoor, Oriental, Asian, Continental and what not !! Their desserts sections can be a bit subtle but can be considerable. One of the best and largest buffets I have ever came across in Kolkata's 5-star properties
Budget may not be considered here but if you want to enjoy a luxurious premium buffet with amazing spread, I would fully reccommend everyone. Truly a "5-star" experience !!

The variety in the buffet was mind-boggling.
The fried or grilled fish 🐠 items served on the spot lacked character.
The corn pulao was a fantastic dish along with the mutton.
The ambience is fantastic. service was professional but could have had bit more personal touch.
Recommend to visit at least once. It is one of the best buffets available in the town.

Seasonal taste is the restaurant of Westin. I visited the place in one of the weekdays and the food was really awesome. It costed 1829 per head with taxes in weekdays. I visited there with my husband and we both really enjoyed the food. The service was also very good and the view from there was awesome.
Went there for dinner with family to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. The food was absolutely amazing.... The ambience was lovely too.... We took buffet there.... And so many options to explore.... The view from 10th floor was the bonus point...
Update: Visited the place for the third time with family and still live it. Must visit.
Loved the places and the variety at the buffet was much more than what is on offer at J W Kitchen.
The things we ordered at the live counter was delivered to the table really late and the drinks that they had was not being refreshed. That's the only critique i have for the place.
This is a must visit and i would be paying the place a second visit soon.
Really great ambiance. It's self service for the buffet. The buffet was great especially because of the assortment. We availed the Zomato Carnival offer. Go there keeping time in hand because there are so many desserts and starters.

Visited here on 8th May, 2023. Had a booking via swiggy dineout ₹GIRF festival. Earlier I had called them about the booking and their cooperation was indeed good.
It's situated on the 10th floor of the Westin hotel. Everything, the service, the warmth was top notch.
We had the booking on 12.30 and as it was said that we have to step in 15 minutes prior to avail the offer. The buffet was supposed to be started at 12.30pm so we were waiting. And they started it exactly the clock ticks to 12.30 pm.
The buffet was gorgeously lavish! And it contained every possible item from each corner of the world.
First we tried the starter section. The salad, chicken tikka kebab, and chili fish was superb. The kebabs were on a little drier side. The chili fish was to die for.
Next we tried the western frill section. Pan seared fish with orange reduction sauce, thyme roasted potato, baked corn spinach, Ratatouille, grilled chicken salad, l Japanese buns and many more. Nah we didn't try all of this. Well, we couldn't have that much food. Every item was delicious.
From the live grill section, you can try any kind of grills available there. The chef told that they could send every kind of grills to our table but we couldn't have had everything so we went for only prawn. There were Topshe fry , and other grills too. It tastes a bit bitter but the dip was to die for. We had that mango chili dip with the western grills too.
We also tried some pork popperoni, pork sausage salad, spicy lamb salad, (wasn't spicy though, decent) and pickle cabbage with chicken along with the western grills. Tried some cheese from the cheese section - Cheddar, Edam , grana padano, gouda just a little bit. Besides these there were a lot though. There were all ingredients, one can self prepare any kind of burger from these ingredients.
After that , we came to the mains. Mutton biryani , laal maas, rice and all kind of sides like daal, pickle and many more. Mutton biryani was not at all, like any other buffet. I would recommend to try white rice with the laal maas. The laal maas was absolutely delicious. There were Paratha, achaar, chicken and many more.
Finally, we came to the dessert section. Oh my my! What wasn't there. There were all kinds of seasonal fruits, sweets gluten and non- gluten pastries, tarts and what not! Absolutely glamorous! I'm not a fan of sweets but, he is. He tried rosogolla, and the other sweets and said it was more than his expectations. And I tried almost every kind of gluten pastries ( as much as I could try lol) tarts just one bite because I was already full. 😭 Each and every item was totally out of the world!
The service was top notch.
There wasn't any wastage left on the table. They were cleaning it immediately. Also the warmth of the service was noticable and impressive. The view from the 10th floor is quite good on the daylight. You wouldn't see anything at night.
Allover, it was a very happy experience. Would like to visit again and again! All the best team Seasonal tastes! ❤️
It was a really great experience! Lots of variety of food - separate section for Bengali, North Indian, Continental and Asian items. It also offers one live grill counter, one Thai counter, one each for Chats and Wraps. Lots of options in desserts - beautifully looking confectionery (couldn't taste much) and Bengali sweets. Had a great time there.
Fish items are too good, as is Thai food.
