We arrange my Son's birthday party in Red Express for 60 people and I must say all my guests were really happy with the food. Starters were just awesome. Veg-main course was not that good. But overall experience was good. Service was great. They even arranged kids food on request.

Located at sector 5, this is one of the better restaurants in the area. The food is very good. I have been here multiple times. They specialise in the Chinese dishes. The soups are surprisingly good. A must try dish is the fire cracker chicken. It is a spicy started sure to give one a jolt. They have some limited Indian dishes as well and they are also kind to the taste buds. Interior is spacious, service is excellent. Worth a try

One of The Best Restaurant in Sector 5, service exceptional good. Ambience Awesome, Hospitality Like 5star treatment. Specially The Staff and Salute to Mr.Hemant Singh for attending the event of my Daughter's 5th Birthday on 24th December even high fever just to ensure every service is upto the marks. Thanks to Red Express Management and it's Staff. Including Its Owner. Looking forward to Throw some more party's at your Restaurant very soon.

First time visit was pleasant and nice ambiance

It is one of the oldest multicuisine restaurant ans pub serving Chinese, Mughlai, North Indian, Pan Asian etc for the last twenty years. The outdoor seating arrangement catches the eye when you spot the place at first sight. With cozy relaxed environment, this place offers the patrons a superlative dining experience with the finest in food, service & ambience with liquors starting from Rs 49/- only and other beverage options at affordable rates. Beat your thirst with some really refreshing mocktails like Virgin Mojito, Blue Sky, Shirley Temple, Deep Sea and Grasshopper. Starting with some hot Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup & Chicken Caesar Salad, you can then pick up Veg Kebab Platter, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Popcorn and Grilled Fish from the starters. Just 2 days back I have arranged my son's birthday party here. 140 people were there and they fitted comfortably. It was just superb. Excellent food , good ambience , good music arrangements , excellent staff behaviour. Plenty of parking space. Best thing was the humble behaviour and politeness of the manager of the restaurant (Hemant Singh).

This restaurant and bar was just beside my office and I never had the chance to visit it all these months. so finally, we decided to hit this place to get a small taste(Based on the limited time that we had :p) of what it offers and we were not dissapointed. The drink options were not that much in quantity but they were quite affordable to say the least and obviously, when it comes to liquor, it is always delicious ;) so we had just ordered 30ml of white rum and old monk but there were some nice affordable whiskey options too. Now when it comes to food, there weren't that many options to choose from and they were quite expensive in my opinion. If you go by individual starters or main course options, each were quite costly for the quantity they were offering.So do go by the combo options like we did :) The ambience is a bit dark but peaceful to sit and relax a drop of liquor with some snacks with your friends and loved ones. They do offer buffet lunch and would definitely try that once.

Experienced a wonderful lunch buffet here. I made bookings one day before and finalized the menu which consisted of many delicious items. After we walked in we were served with cool welcome drinks. We chose softdrink (Sprite) over fresh lime soda. After a while a soup(chicken coriander) was served which was so tasty and was served hot. Then one by one we were served both kinds of veg and non-veg starters such as Crispy Chilly Babycorn, Pan fried chilly fish, Babri aloo, Tandoori chicken, Garlic Chilly Chicken and Cheese Spinach rolls. All of which were so tasty that we divied in them. I kept on asking for the pan fried chilly fish and the chicken tandoori. The spinach roll was too good and healthy. Everything was unlimited and was served on the table. We didn't had to wander around to fetch our food from the buffet strands. Then we moved onto main course where we had assorted indian breads (we chose butter naan), Peas Pulao, Dal Tarka, Veg Jhalfrezi, Paneer Butter Masala, Chicken Do Pyaza and the best one was Fish Tikka Masala. Everything was so good that we ate to our hearts content. The manager (Mr. robin) treated us with Chilly Grlic Prawns too which was so kind of him. But we kept some space left for the dessert. In dessert we were served Hot Gulab Jamuns, Darshan along with vanilla Ice-cream. Darshan and the ice-cream duo was unbeatable. I had to give 5 stars to this place. The ambience was nice. There is a mini bar too one can enjoy the alcoholic drinks too. This place is perfect for family, friends, office parties, birthday parties, etc. The staffs were too good, efficient and well behaved, especially Mr. Robin (the manager in charge) and Mr. Jha our server was too good and took great care of us. A big thanks to them. Note- One can edit and make changes in buffet menu. A la carte is also available.

The interior of the restaurant had a warm vibe to it. The food was very delicious and hygiene was something that the staff took care of very well. The staff were very courteous as well. Overall, it is a great place for hanging out with friends.

Nice place to have some delicious buffet. Although you have limited number of choice compared to bbqnation or absolute bbq. Overall nice place to spend some quality time with your near one. Nice background music will give you nice company. Food is awesome overall it is a great place

We were invited in a birthday party which held in this place. The venue is quite spacious for family occasions.

Food was good. In terms of service did not handle well an office party of 30 people. Atmosphere was good. DJ available.

We were the only customers at 7, yet we had to remind them they hadn't taken our order.<br/>2. White Russian had too much ice- less Kahlua and everything else.<br/>3. They add service charge to the bill without letting customers know about their right to have it waived- something that is required, as per law.

What I loved the most from lunch buffet spread- Crispychilibabycorn, Peshwari Murg, Chicken Dimsums, Veg Handhi, Chicken Lababdar, Butter Nun, Darsaan with ice cream.<br/>What awaited me at this restaurant was one of the finest dining experiences I've ever had. I availed of their coveted buffet and it was awesome! What impressed me the most was staff behaviour. Every other minute, someone from the management will come up to you and ask you for feedback and suggestions. And they will even fine tune the food according to your preferences! Everything is served piping hot to the table. Loved the Chicken Lababdar! 🔥🔥 It was spicy, flavorsome and hot! And although not a fan of veg food, I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegetable Handi. We were visiting from abroad, and we were looking for a decent place to host a family and friends get-together party. We ended up hosting our party at Red Xpress, and we are glad we did. The staff are courteous, prompt and attentive. The owners personally made sure that our needs were looked after. The quality of food was excellent - can easily compete with the very bests in town. We also loved the overall ambience, music and decor. They even have set up for hookahs, which was a nice touch in the end. All in all we loved every bit of our time and Red Xpress staff hardly gave us any chance to complain about.

Visited this place on Asthami Night, and this place was pretty crowded though we were immediately seated. The ambience was nice.<br/>Ordered Tandoori Chicken, Mutton RoganJosh and Naan. Went there for office party. It's situated a few blocks away from the BIPL building. None of their preparations deserves any special mention as they were pretty average and nothing worth remembering. The whole meal costs us Rs 599+ tax for each person. Place is huge but still have a crampy feel to it as tables are set pretty close to each other. Service was good.

I went for lunch buffet. It wasn't that impressive. There are far better options in that area to choose from. The starters and desserts do need serious improvements.

Went for lunch to celebrate Friends Birthday.. The staffs alredy got all the decorations done beautifully..The staffs were good at behaviour..It was way too beautiful fulled with baallons n flowers. Very attentive.<br/><br/>4} value for money - 600 for 2 at lunch, will be very filling.<br/><br/>5} How to reach/Accessibility - Very very convenient to reach as its in the heart of the IT Hub in Kolkata which is Salt lake sector 5. Any bus that comes to SDF, you need to get down at SDF and then its a 5 feet walk.

Located in sector V this place is a great dineout and the ambiemce looks sophisticated with all red decor. We tried the chinese food there and the taste was pretty good. Liqour is also served here and zomato gold 2+2 drinks helped us to get some cheap booze. Though as per price point of view it is slightly on the higher side. But you cannot miss this chance.

I went here some days back with my friends. I had an amazing time there. The decoration is pleasant and nice. We went for the buffet. The starters were amazing especially the Chinese ones. The main course was good too. The chicken preparation and the Indian breads were absolutely amazing. The icecream and the castard tasted good.

I along with my family members had gone to Red Express today for lunch. I really appreciate Welcome gesture of the entire staff of the restaurant. Ambience was too cozy , good and homely. I went there for 3 times and the experience was good enough.We ordered tandoori murgh,sliced chicken in hunan style,fried rice, noodles,kungpao chicken.All the items were good though the first three became my favourite!<br/>I gave the rating 4 not 5 as last day we found the fork given was not cleaned properly. A cozy dining experience, soothing ambience and a perfect music playlist make this place ideal for a lunch date. The USP of the menu was the two different portion sizes available: Smart and Large, with the former being totally apt for two people.<br/><br/>We ordered Chicken Lat Mai Kai from appetisers- crispy and the right amount of spicy, this was an excellent starter. Have been here two times for lunch on weekdays. They make great Chinese food and is good value for money. We went for a la carte. However, they also serve buffet and bar is available too. Some of the best Chinese food that one can have. <br/>It is near the Infinity Thinktank building in Sector 5 and is often flooded with office goers during lunch and dinner. The food here is very very good in taste and comes in right portion sizes. They have almost all items of Chinese and Indian cuisine and they serve in 2 different portion sizes, one being Smart and other being Regular, the latter being the larger one. The Smart size is good enough for a single person. <br/>If you are looking for a quick lunch and value for money deal in a restaurant, then Red Xpress is the real deal for you.

The restaurant serves North-Indian as well as Chinese food. The taste was very good. Service is excellent. Serves alcohol as well. Zomato Gold was available on flooding only.

This was our second visit and as usual they did not let us down with their lip smacking delicacies. The person who were serving were pretty cordial and I would suggest this restaurant to be a "must visit" one especially at night because thats the one which remains open till late night.

A hidden gem in the 💓 of Sector 5 Saltlake. Although it's not quite new but it doesn't seems to be of too popular for its buffet. If compared to any other buffet service, the quality goes a distance. The food offered to us was really good. The staff behaviour was very courteous and friendly. The restaurant should market itself so that the walk-ins and the popularity could be more. The starters were very tasty and was served hot. The welcome drink was perfectly balanced. A small suggestion. The decor really need to change. A live performance in the evening may add an extra feather to their cap.

Food quality delivered was of poor quality. Indian vegetables were mixed ( like peas and cauliflower) pan fried noodles was unedible. Generally the food is good from this place . Maybe they have started compromising.

Had visited this restaurant this week after almost 2 yrs and was a little disappointed. The buffet lunch was not laid out but was served on the table. Not sure if this was done because it was a weekday and less customers are expected. The starters were good as usual but the main course was very average. Starters included ginger garlic chicken, fish kolamari and chicken momos. The desserts were also just gulab jamun and ice scream. My experience in 2017 was definitely much more delightful.

Spent some quality time and had lunch at Red Xpress with buddies on 13th December. Visited there for the first time. It was a pretty good experience. Quality of the foods was excellent.<br/>There we had soups & along with that crispy chilly babycorn, chicken dimsum, tandoori chicken, hara-vara kebab as starter.<br/>In the main course we had veg hakka noodles, veg peas pulao, assorted bread, chicken do pyaza, fish in sauce, kaali daal.<br/>In dessert we had vannila ice cream with chocolate sauce.<br/>Pocket Pinch: Normally this buffet costs 699/- +tax but we got it for a discounted price 399/- +tax only.

Went there with friends a number of months back and obviously ordered alcohol with starter and food items . The food items tasted average to good. Ambience was nice. Good place to hangout with friends.

Went there for team lunch last wednesday. The ambiance was great and the food was good too. But for vegetarian people number of items are very less. And the desserts were not so good. They should add more varieties mainly sweets. Otherwise the experience was great.

Last month me and colleague went to this restaurant which is very near to our office. Its mainly famous for Chinese cuisine and although now they have started serving North- Indian or Mughai dishes. Apart from that its having a bar which is a real plus point for those who want to take a drink along with good food.<br/><br/>Ambiance is very good. With great interior design and good seating arrangement.<br/><br/>We ordered Chicken biryani and Chicken tikka masala. Chicken biryani is very tasty and flavourfull although its slightly on richer side.<br/>Chicken tikka butter masala also very yummy and spicy. The kebaab used in chicken tikka butter masala gravy was on decent side.<br/>Overall had great lunch<br/>Total bill for one chicken biryani, chicken tikka butter masala, one papad and two cold drinks was around ₹998/-

Service quality is awsm.. behaviour of service guys is very friendly, especially our friend cum bar tendor, Surojit, a mind blowing guy.. visit this place amd feel the real experience

Was thinking of something new and decided to venture Red Xpress. One of the great buffet at great concessional price. Starting from starters to desserts at the end are just awesome. Adding to this is also the super service they provide. All the items are provided at table only and they will keep repeating hot delicious items until you say "stop". Hospitality and ambiance was quite good. I must recommend the food lovers to visit the place. Before closing, I must comment on their awesome starter Kum Pao Chicken and Fish item in main course. The food was really good but the problem was with the quantity. I mean when you know the headcount, you should be well prepared to serve the food on time.

Guys if you are offering buffet then make sure that you are serving the food adequately and on time so that everytime customer does not have to ask you to refill, continuous monitoring and punctual service would make the difference. Last not least food was really good 😊<br/>

Very much disappointed with Dinner Buffet for our Office Party. They committed for guaranteed 50 people for the buffet, but arrangement was not done at all. Service was also not good enough.<br/>We had to wait pretty much time for the food items to get served. Some of us left the restaurant for this type of arrangement.<br/>Yes, food was good. All the menu items was there.<br/>But my concern is, if you committed for something and aware of the head count, you have to serve it.

Coming to the service, it was top notch, and there was no fumble in serving the whole buffet course on our tables. They were very hospitable and courteous and repeated the food as many times as we wanted. This was a huge plus point as we were the only ones in the restaurant who opted for the buffet and they managed to cook and serve the whole buffet exclusively for us. Also the music that was playing in the background were all old English songs which made the lunch experience even more enjoyable. Thumbs up to this amazing restaurant. Ambiance was good but later they had mute the music because a customer ordered to do so, that was literally upsetting. we ordered fire cracker chicken, seafood suimai, mixed meat rice and kung pao chicken fresh lime soda and icecream. food was delicious but we did not expect just 3pcs of suimai. I felt price was little high compared to the quantity. it's better for buffet.

Went there for team dinner. It is much much recommended for a team dinner as it is pocket friendly and the dishes were good according to money spent. The mutton dish in the buffet was too good and people from my team loved it. Would want to visit again only if my team wants to have a pocket friendly dinner.

I visited this restaurant few months ago with my office friends. Restaurant serves starter very unprofessional way, they serve veg starters repeatedly with out asking about non veg starters. 3 🌟 because of their main course. Main course contents good deleous food.

Only plus point is its ambiance. I gave 2 starts for its interior design with bamboo and artificial leaves.<br/> The restaurant is located near BIPL campus. We went for Lunch Buffet on a working Monday. The buffet spread is not there...They have only 5-6 types of starters (both Veg + Non-Veg). Even there is no spread of main course. The taste was disgusting. Except that I loved the fish starter. In the menu, they had mentioned raita/Papad, but when I asked them they literally smiled back and said they don't have. Even there was only 2 items in Desserts...Huh!! Who keep only 2 dessert items in a buffet. The menu is so limited that once, we thought that we should have gone for a-la-carte instead of buffet. Buffet spreads needs to be improved to stay in competition with the other buffet restaurant in Sector 5. <br/>The cherry on the top was that they charged service tax/Charge along with GST. When I raised concern, then they told me it is optional...(hahahehe)!!<br/> <br/>Not sure will come back again to Red Express.

Its good and well managed bar... Serving style is good n behavior wid guest is pleasant...<br/>I visited thr on 6th aug i really njoyed alot wid all the facilities provided by thm and co-operation with as is soo nyc

fried rice not tasty. hurriedly made without salt and assortments. manchurian chicken tasted like chilly chicken too hot

Me along with my office colleagues went to this place for a dinner buffet. The buffet spread is not huge with limited number of starters 5-6 as well as main course. One particular dish that I loved the most was their chicken Momo's. It was an absolute delight. Buffet spreads needs to be improved to stay in competition with the other buffet restaurant in Sector 5.

I was about to give 3.5 but anyway...<br/>so the restro is located just beside BIPL campus, sector 5. we went there for office party.<br/>ordered as below:<br/>1. chelo kebabs - good enough. we though not expected the authentic one still good.<br/>2. mutton biriyani - toooo salty, we had to change the order (i believe it was an accident) as the stuffs helped us choosing another dish.<br/>3. veg rice with non veg appetizer and fish in oyster sauce - nothing to mention. okayish.<br/>4. veg noodles with non veg appetizer and fish in oyster sauce - nothing to mention. okayish.<br/>5. virgin mojito - please you need to improve :(<br/>6. fresh like soda - no complains obviously

Went with Saborni Datta. Quite a nice place near infinity think tank, sector 5. We chose the lunch buffet they offer..<br/>They offer a complementary soft drink.. and in starter we had chicken tandoori, dry chilli chicken, hara bhara kabab, and a dish of fried baby corn and potato. The chilli chicken is surely a must try.<br/><br/>There is no special mention in main course except the fish in oyster sauce and paneer.<br/><br/>In desserts we had darshan, vanilla ice cream and caramel custard.<br/>Moreover it was a good experience. And the restaurant provides a good service. Specially Sanjay was really helpful.<br/>

Though it's mainly a Chinese cuisine restaurant but they serve North Indian cuisine too.<br/>So to try different, ordered chelo kebab and disappointment starts there.<br/>No mutton kebab in the plate. Contained fish kebab and chicken kebab among kebabs.<br/>Chicken kebabs weren't good.<br/>But the Fish kebab was tasty.

Red express is near to my office, we went there for team lunch. We opted for lunch buffet, the staffs were courteous but little slow in service, the food was good and the menu was quite appetizing, but the kebabs had bones and was not very tasty, the desserts were delightful.<br/>Otherwise good place to visit for a sudden lunch/dinner plans. Beautiful decor.🍮

Location- Bengal Intelligent Park, Sector 5, Salt Lake.<br/><br/>Went here to try the Lunch Buffet, timings are from 12pm to 3pm but you can seat their as long as you want only the entry for lunch buffet gets over.<br/><br/>The ambiance is very cosy and decent with good collection of background music. The bar section is also very attractive.<br/><br/>The staffs are very cordial and courteous. Well mannered. Have a very polite way of taking. They did served all the food to the table by themself and didn't let us took the burden of taking it time to time. The service was very good.<br/><br/>The food here is delicious and mouthwatering with reasonable price. Specially Fish Barmuda and Hariyali Murg. Over all everything was good.<br/><br/>Highly Recommended.

Went there for friends birthday celebration . Staffs were very courteous and well behaved . Food was good but unfortunately we found something wrong in chicken .

A very quaint place to enjoy specially with friends/family. Lovely environment, food quality is pretty good, service is bit slow but that doesnt really hamper your time spent with your closed ones around the table. Behaviour of the staff is fine and obeyed to our adhoc requests every now and then. Overall a great time to spend with anybody you opt for.<br/>Must visit for the Techies across SDF/Sector 5 region.

Heard a lot about their buffet, went for lunch on a weekday with colleagues. Service was terribly slow, they seemed to be under staffed, the food was average. The garlic fish fry in their starters menu stood out, so did the chicken mono. The kebab was bony and some were burnt. The main course items were average at best.

Had a great time! The food is amazing. Waiters are polite and courteous. The buffet is a must try. Will visit again with friends and family soon.<br/>

Alcohol is very pocket friendly, awesome service, and every one should meet the manager sir bcoz of him we visit red express , after a busy and heard working day we like to visit , and my favorites part is my the bartender sir , being a bartender i love to drink LIME RICKEY i showed him how to make a lime rickey , and he made it better than me , lime rickey is a gin base cocktail. And i love to drink my favorite cocktail made by the bartender sir, thank you guys you are simply awesome .

We went to this place last Sunday, for a lunch with a group of friends. We tried out the lunch buffet.... the starters were lip smacking, the main course was delicious. Especially loved the Chinese items and the succulent non veg starters. The quantity served, and the service....was most satisfying. Would love to comeback.... thanks

All I had in my lunch today is lots of DISAPPOINTMENT.<br/>1. First we were refused to have buffet. Although they write it on zomato that buffet lunch is available everyday.<br/>2. We were their first guests today and they didn't offer us any complementary drink. However they offered every other guests who entered after us. Worst was they even realized their mistake after some time but smartly ignored it. Later when I asked them, they gave a very lame excuse (which I think was not even clear to them as well) to cover it up.<br/>3. The quantity of food is less than other restaurants.<br/>4. Taste of food is very average. At one point of time I was feeling like I'm having my lunch from a local food stall.<br/><br/>However, the waiters were very polite and the interior is really impressive and comforting.<br/><br/>I may not be a so called "foodie"<br/>But I keep on experimenting with different restaurants throughout the city.<br/>All I can say is I'm never going to get back to this restaurant anymore.<br/>

I went there on my bday and the food didn’t disappoint me. We had ordered manchow soup, pepper garlic fish, red hot drumsticks, spring rolls, chicken stew rice and desserts. Food was delicious and staff were courteous.

When we started visiting the place, it was commendable. But with time service has detoriated and price has been increased. They ask for extra charges also.
