Putiram is one of the heritage Bengali sweet shop of vintage Kolkata. We tried Misti Doi there, it costs Rs 28/- for 100gm of it. The taste of the Doi was really unbeatable to any other famous classical Sweet shops around Kolkata. If one visits College Street, Misti Doi from Putiram is essentially a mandate there. There is seating areas inside the shop but which we found to be absolutely filled up, so we had to wait outside in the bench. Above all it was indeed a great experience at Putiram after a tiring day.

Putiram Sweets on College Street is a legendary culinary institution that has stood the test of time for over a century. Their crispy wafer radhaballavis are a delightful treat, skillfully blending the crispy texture with a subtle hint of sweetness in the cholar dal filling. It's a unique combination that leaves a lasting impression on your taste buds. Moreover, their gulab jamuns are a true indulgence, exuding a delicious flavor enhanced by the delicate touch of rose water. Each bite is a symphony of flavors that transport you to a realm of sheer bliss. The experience at Putiram Sweets is not just about the food; it's a journey into the rich culinary heritage of the region. The traditional recipes and time-honored techniques they use reflect the expertise they've honed over generations. If you're a food enthusiast seeking an authentic and unforgettable taste of Bengal's culinary history, Putiram Sweets on College Street is an absolute must-visit. Their commitment to quality and taste has made them an enduring favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Visited after a long time and found the same old taste in their mishti doi and rosogolla. No doubt why one of the oldest sweet shops still running strong. And of course... nostalgia overloaded.
