This is a small and cozy restaurant located in Beleghata, just opposite to Lifeline Medicine. It is a very well-known restaurant, famous for their mughlai and cutlets. I finally tried their fish fry yesterday. It was absolutely made to perfection. The dumpling was so tasty. It was really worth the money. It just costed a pinch of 60 rupees. Do give this place a try. You will like it too.

This might not be an ideally lavishing restaurant, but the delicacies being served here are not only mouth watering, they are a special treat for all those food aficionado who are in love with typical and traditional Bengali appetizers ...!!! Be it the fish fry or fish finger or Egg devil, you would relish the scrumptious items to the core...
Forget about AC restaurants, Forget about Hygiene, Forget about mosquito bites, Forget about well dressed good looking multi-lingual personnel, Forget about spacious crap and Forget about blokes of savoir-faire around and etc etc....just get humbled with dishes of this archaic hidden Gem with the habitual cacophony of the city
This place is famous for their cutlets and moghlais..I tried fish cutlet and moghlai egg paratha..both were super yummy..They serve fish cutlets with salads..Super yummy food in reasonable price!!
The speciality here is duck egg mughlai paratha.. other items are equally good but the mughlai takes the crown.. place may not look much but beleive me the food is great.. a heritage restaurant of old calcutta.. reminicent of the days gone by but the food is excellent..
It is one of the oldest restaurant one can find at Kankurgachi or phoolbagan area.
Their specialty is the mughlai that they serve.
Even the fish fry is great.
Its been now few years they have started the momo counter as well.
The restaurant is very progressive and the quality they serve is pretty nice.
During any special occasion one can find the rush in front of the restaurant.
Price of the dishes are ok.
Please give it a try, I am sure their foods won't be disappointing you all.
One of the oldest outlet for satisfying the gourmendizing Bengali fried snacks that is never old completing the evenings with friends and family members.
The ambience is not like the present day porsche restaurants, neither romantic nor serene and almost similar to roadside adda restaurant. Its got quite a few seating arrangements for a quick snack time on the way and the interior tells the story of olden days moderate priced food cooked and served by typical North Kolkata old age bongs.
Coming to the food it's not bad at all. Starting from the Mughlai dishes, cutlets, kabirajis, fish fingers and fish fry with a little salad and kasundi sauce is overwhelming for the taste buds.
Recommnedation would be the Mughlai dishes as it tastes delicious and it's special also in here. Decent price range for other delicacies and also it's not dissappointing at all. Go and have a bite.
Satyanayan: Moghlai and moghlai the only dish i tried and it dint disheartened me. Dobol (double) dim er moghlai was good. If you are don't want to spend much but want to satisfy your stomach satyanayan's moghlai is waiting for you..
A good place to satisfy your gluttony for typical bangali fried foodstuffs like moghlai paratha, fish fry, cutlets, kabiraji etc. The huge moghlai paratha does need a special mention since it is as much tasty as it looks. The other fried chops are too delicious too.
This has been a childhood favourite and still continues to be one.... their moghlai paratha is my favourite. Cutlets and fries are good too and come in decent prices.
A 53 year old establishment serving authentic delicacies. Best suited for evening snacks. Highly recommended. They serve one of the best egg devil in kolkata. Although the place looks old school, the food taste and quality is quite unbeatable.
Old shop but the food taste is really good. You should really try. very affordable price range. Famous for cutlets and moghlai. Nice place for sitting.
They are the Number one in Mughlai Paratha , maintaining the tradition of Tate and Quality for almost 50 years .
Other Items like Devil and Fish chops are unparalleled .
Good Quality & Friendly behaviour Staff. All menu are low price. Please try Moglai Paratha.
I am a sucker for Bengali fried food. I was in a rush so just had a grab 'n go bite of the Fish Chop (a ball of spiced, fish mince, breaded and deep fried), which was good to my taste. A little on the sweet side, mostly from the mashed onions in the mix. Typical Bengali savoury, at its best.
Don't expect high standards of hygiene from these places, the sight of the decades old, open plan kitchen may make you cringe. I do believe the ingredients are all fresh and they sell out quickly so you will run out of luck by 8 pm. My snap should tell you about the kitchen and the menu.
The very last Anglo-Calcutta cuisine restaurant left in Beliaghata Phoolbagan area. Quality of food is great and it's pocket friendly too.
If you are a true calcatian, it's a must visit place.
Here you will get authentic bengali snacks or evening specialities like chop, Kabiraji, Fish finger, Mughlai Paratha etc. It is a small shop and take-away is the best option.
Food is good and is available in a wide range of cuisines.
Old shop with fresh items. Taste wise okay.
Been here uncountable times, it's a proper Bengali snack outlet. Got that old North Calcutta feel to it
Mutton braised cutlet, fish fry are to die for . Oldest shop around the area. Pre independence era shop
