The best place in Kollam to have Mutton dishes. We reached little late, that’s why could get Biryani. If you want to have their famous mutton biryani reach there before 1.30 - 1.45. The mutton curry and porotta was mouth-watering.

This hotel boasts an impressive array of mutton dishes that truly stand out for their exceptional taste and preparation. However, it's important to note that the popularity of the place has led to overcrowding, potentially affecting the overall dining experience. Despite the crowd, if you're willing to navigate through it, the savory mutton dishes make it a worthwhile destination.

This was my first choice when i planned a trip to Kollam. Loved their mutton biriyani and Mutton curry. Amazing taste. Here the Kerala style biriyani has the raisins added to the masala and it is of good taste. Mutton was amazing. Repeated the order and enjoyed the food. And took take away as well. Tried their parotta as well. Nice ambience. Parking available. Don't miss this restaurant if u r in kollam.

Tried fayalwan biryani and meals and fish fry. As their mutton biryani is the most hyped item i tried it first but to my disappoint i couldnt get the exceptional flavours i expect. It a good n sweet biryani. Meals and fish was actually worth it for the price. Me being a trivian i have tasted better biryanis in trivandrum itself. I went to kollam for some other things so no regrets. Not worth a dedicated visit

Whenever I come to Kollam, eating food from here is a regular habit of mine.. Very good food is available from here. Whenever I eat food, I always order a chicken fry from here. The chicken fry here has a taste that you cannot get from other hotels. However, it is very crowded here. We can see essential cleanliness here.

Porotta and mutton roast was good. Its a must try option. Mutton curry and chicken fry were ok only. There is ambient sitting space. Parking space is available but it can accommodate maximum 4 cars. If that parking is full, then finding a parking in that narrow road will be difficult. A good place to dine in for mutton lovers.

I've visited this place many times but every time I visited it was always crowded. The customer service is a bit disappointing. But they serve delicious biryani. Finding a place to dine in at lunch time will be a bit difficult as this place is usually crowded. Car parking will also be a bit difficult here.

Rich and dense mutton curry served with fresh n small porottas. A little expensive, but the recipe is their crowd puller. The serving of the curry is in a tiny ramekin just enough to hold an icecream scoop, and it is charged at ₹160. It seems expensive, but the dish had really good and eatable slices of the meat rather than bony and fatty areas. The porottas were charged at ₹10 which seemed again too much for the miniature size. The restaurant is an oversized single hall which can seat about 150 people. And the ambience is passable. But they've been rocking the streets with their unique recipe for ages. Not mindblowing, but a good experience at Fayalwan restaurant in Kollam city.

Mutton biryani is excellent. It is a mildly flavoured biriyani, with a slight hint of sweetness. Rates are reasonable compared to other places. The atmosphere and service are average at best.

One of the oldest hotels in kollam. Dined in for dinner and had porotta with mutton and chicken roast. They provide mutton roast in a small plate , but the pieces were meat and not bones😊Mutton roast was really tasty , but felt it was very less in terms of quantity. The porotta was also small in size. Didn't feel anything special about chicken roast but was good though. Overall, the price is on higher side for the quantity they served, especially the porotta and mutton roast.

Best biryani in town. But It's better not to go there during public holidays especially for lunch because of the heavy rush. Had to wait half hour to get a table and the taste was below par as they had to cook biriyani a second time sye to shortage. Otherwise you can have one of the best biryanis here.
